Previously on The Hills…

Lauren: (V.O.) A lot had happened since we got back from Paris. Whitney got a new job with Kelly Cutrone, a high powered woman in fashion.

Kelly: Girls, we don’t have time for this. Let’s go. Out, out.

Lauren: (V.O.) I was really nervous when she asked me to fill in for Fashion Week.

Whitney: Lauren!

Lauren: Two minutes left on all of them.

Lauren: (V.O.) But I guess it went pretty well.

Kelly: We would love to offer you a position to come and work with us.

Lauren: Seriously?

Lauren: (V.O.) Things with Spencer were moving a little too fast. So Heidi had to slow them down.

Heidi: When I get back, I want you to be moved out.

Lauren: (V.O.) But when their relationship vacation turned into a nightmare…

Heidi: I wanted space. I wanted some space.

Spencer: Well you got your space.

Lauren: (V.O.) It seemed like things were finally over.

Heidi: He’s gonna move on, I gotta move on.

Stephanie: I cannot believe you’re saying this.

Lauren: (V.O.) So Heidi got herself a new job that would take her to Las Vegas and away from Spencer.

Sam: So is he gonna lose his mind when he finds out that you’re in Vegas?

Heidi: I don’t think so.

Sam: He’s gonna lose his mind. (They all laugh)

Lauren: (V.O.) I got a house with my two best friends. And it should have been so much fun.

Lauren: Yay!

Lauren: (V.O.) But as I got closer to Lo, Audrina became more and more distant.

Justin: So why even be here, huh?

Audrina: Maybe I will look at places.

Lauren: (V.O.) Good friends are tough to find in LA. And now it felt like another one was about to drift away.

CUT TO:
Little Tokyo Lofts

Audrina and Justin open the door of an apartment and go inside.

Audrina: Ooh this is cool. You like it? (They walk toward the windows) I like the view. All the city life.

Justin: It probably looks pretty at night.

Audrina: It’s such an open space.

Justin: It is open space. I’m into it.

Audrina: I feel like it’s so far away from everyone.

Justin: Well if you think about it, don’t you always try to get away from where you’re at right now? Really be like ‘I can come home and go in my refrigerator, I can go home and cook something, I can have people over, I can do whatever I wanna do, not worry about…’

Audrina: Yeah. People or weird vibes.

Justin: Yeah.

Audrina: Tensions throughout the house.

Justin: And that’s kind of a beautiful thing about down here is that only you would know where you’re at, you know what I mean? Which is kind of cool.

Audrina: Yeah I live by myself right now in the guest house.

Justin: Yeah.

Audrina: So it’s like I might as well get my own place. It’d be fun decorating this.

Justin: So you talked to Lauren about this yet? You think you see yourself living here maybe? (She looks out the window)

Opening Credits

CUT TO:
Heidi’s Apartment

Spencer goes to the door and opens it, letting Stephanie in.

Spencer: About time.

Stephanie: What are you doing here? (He shuts the door)

Spencer: Heidi never came home last night. (She sits down on the couch)

Stephanie: Were you sleeping here? (He sits on the edge of the couch) No seriously did you sleep here last night? This isn’t like you.

Spencer: You think? I’ve lost my mind. Heidi has made me lose my mind. I just…I don’t know what to do anymore.

Stephanie: If I tell you where she is, will you not do anything crazy?

Spencer: 100%.

Stephanie: You swear?

Spencer: I swear.

Stephanie: All right she’s in Vegas. She’s with her bosses, on a work trip, buying a casino or something. She’s gone and she might not come back.

Spencer: What do you mean, she’s not gonna come back?

Stephanie: Well it depends on if she likes her job there.

Spencer: She’s gonna move to Vegas?

Stephanie: I know it really sucks.

Spencer: You coming to Vegas with me or am I going by myself?

Stephanie: Think really hard before you do something stupid.

Spencer: We’re going to Vegas.

CUT TO:
Las Vegas – Sahara Hotel & Casino

Heidi, Sam and Brent are walking through the casino.

Sam: So we’re on the main casino floor now.

Brent: Okay.

Sam: This area, we completely redone, all the audio and visual, ultimately all this stuff will go and all the new stuff will come in. The new sand bar is gonna be here, kinda like at the Hard Rock.

Heidi: Okay. (She writes something down in a notebook she is carrying)

Sam: All right? So then…you’ve seen the designs…

Brent: Yeah, yeah.

Sam: For it. Let’s go over to the pool area over here. (They walk outside to the pool area) Okay now just imagine everything you’ve seen…

Brent: Right.

Sam: And then completely unimagine it. Okay? (They laugh) Really reinventing and recreating this whole area so you really think like you’re gonna be in Satrapy, Club Six Sands…

Brent: So you need it like research a little bit of those clubs in Europe…

Heidi: Okay.

Brent: So we can get an idea and we can really like get some photographs together for that.

Heidi: Okay.

Sam: All right it’s gonna be…

Heidi: Yeah.

Sam: Thank you, you’ve been transported to Europe.

Heidi: Amazing.

Sam: Let’s go. (They start walking back inside) We’re gonna go up to the Presidential Suite now the Embassador Suite now too.  It’s nice how much work we gotta go.

Heidi: I know. I’m ready. (Sam laughs. Cut to the suite room)

Sam: All right guys. This is the Presidential slash Embassador. (He opens a door out to the balcony) We have a couple of these.

Heidi: Wow. (They walk out to the balcony) This is an amazing view.

Sam: We have our own exit off the freeway. Sahara…

Heidi: Oh wow.

Sam: Imagine…see that cream part right there?

Brent: Right.

Sam: Imagine right next to it, forty seven stories straight up. So now you’re getting a good sense…Brent, now you know what we gotta talk about and again, you’re building your team so people that are on the team, are on the team. 

Heidi: I’m very excited to be a part of it.

Sam: All right good. We got it.

Heidi: Right.

Sam: Now let’s go down…

Heidi: I’m on it. (They walk back inside and leave the suite)

CUT TO:
LA – People’s Revolution

Whitney and Lauren are going through racks of clothes.

Whitney: (Touching a yellow top) This reminds of Audrina. Can’t you see Audrina wearing this? (Lauren nods) How’s she doing?

Lauren: Good.

Whitney: How’s the house and being with her and…

Lauren: Honestly I don’t see her that much.

Whitney: How do you guys not see each other much in the house?

Lauren: Well ‘cause she has the backhouse…

Whitney: Oh…

Lauren: So she doesn’t even walk through the house, she walks the side of the house.

Whitney: Okay.

Lauren: So like most of the time, I… (Hands Whitney an outfit)

Whitney: Is this for me?

Lauren: I like it…most of the times when I see her, it’s like her passing by.

Whitney: Maybe you guys are just drifting.

Lauren: I almost wish that I had did something and I didn’t even know…

Whitney: That there was a reason.

Lauren: So that I could, you know, we can talk about it and get over it.

Whitney: Right.

Lauren: But I don’t think I did anything.

Whitney: I think you and Lo are kind of like sisters, you know, like you’ve known her so long. She could just slightly be feeling like she doesn’t want to intrude or impose.

Lauren: It’s just weird. Honestly I think it’s getting to the point where I don’t even know if she wants to live there anymore.

Whitney: Really? Then you definitely have to talk to her. You guys should have like a roommate dinner or something. I think the key is just ask her what’s up ‘cause she is one of your closest friends.

Lauren: The thing is, is like the thing we have in common is that we live together. So if you take that out of the equation, I don’t even know how close we would remain.

CUT TO:
Night – Las Vegas – Spencer’s Car

Spencer and Stephanie are driving the city searching for Heidi.

Spencer: All right. Call Heidi. See where she is.

Stephanie: I just don’t want to be an accomplice.

Spencer: Shh…

Stephanie: You don’t need to shh me. I’m not talking.

Spencer: Shh…

Stephanie: (Calls Heidi) Heidi…what’s up? What you doing?

Spencer: I know, what hotel?

Stephanie: Where are you? The Palazzo? That sounds cool. Wait, you’re with Bolthouse people right now? Oh working with drinks? Yeah that sounds real legit Heidi. All right well have fun. (Hangs up) There you go. Our next move is yours.

Spencer: Come on. Green light. Here I come. (He takes off)

Stephanie: Whoa…

CUT TO:
Palazzo Hotel

Spencer pulls up to the valet.

Stephanie: Are you sure this is it?

Spencer: This is it. It’s what you said. (Spencer gets out of the car)

Stephanie: Wait Spencer.

Spencer: Where’s the club? (He points toward the door in front of him)

Stephanie: Where are you going? Spencer! (He goes inside leaving her in the car as a valet worker shows up) I think he’s coming back. Can I just wait here for a minute? (Cut to inside the hotel. Heidi is at a table with Sam and Brent)

Sam: How does it work?

Heidi: Emergency.

Sam: Why can’t we all get on that network? (They all laugh)

Guy: Yeah how does it work?

Heidi: Are you kidding? (Spencer walks in, looking for Heidi)

Sam: Pee pants should have gotten the number.

Heidi:  I know…I never stopped…

Sam: Pee pants getting in on the number.

Brent: Yeah I would have…

Sam: I’m gonna call 911 and say ‘Listen you got that (Spencer spots Heidi and walks over to the table) line?’ (Heidi laughs)

Brent: Especially in private, when you suddenly get… (Spencer walks behind Heidi)

Spencer: (Heidi turns around and sees him) Sorry to interrupt this dinner but um, may I have a moment with you outside? (He walks away)

Heidi: (Stands up) Um this is…

Brent: That’s uh…

Heidi: I’ll be right back.  I’m so sorry. (Walk away to talk to Spencer)

Brent: What the hell was that?

Sam: You…you’re asking me? (Cuts to Spencer as Heidi walks toward him)

Heidi: Over here. (They walk over to a private area to talk then cuts back to the table)

Sam: I guess you’re gonna have to find a new…

Sam & Brent: Project manager. (They both laugh. Then it cuts to Heidi and Spencer)

Heidi: What are you doing here? This is a really important meeting. I’m with my bosses and you interrupted dinner with them? What are you doing?

Spencer: My sister said you were moving to Vegas and you got a job out here. I was like…

Heidi: Yeah.

Spencer: I don’t talk to you for two days…

Heidi: I have a job here and I’m gonna be here for a while.

Spencer: And you’re moving to Vegas? I just…I could not have you living in Vegas with how we ended things.

Heidi: It’s only convent for you. You break up with me when you want, you come and see me when you want like what are you doing? This is really important to me and obviously you don’t care enough to respect that like what are you doing?

Spencer: I need to talk to you like I can’t do this anymore. Like we need to be together.

Heidi: Well you said you were done. You said you were done.

Spencer: Done chasing you like this every day and obviously I’m not. My point was our relationship was turning into what…me just wanting to be with you and you just being too busy.

Heidi: Okay well I can’t really do this right now because my bosses are there.

Spencer: Just come back to LA with me. (Cuts to Heidi going back to the table. She sits down )

Brent: We should definitely figure out a time and what we’re doing.

Heidi: Sorry about that.

Sam: All right well we’re gonna go.

Heidi: Okay.

Brent: (They all get up) Yeah it’s an early morning.

Sam: (High fives Brent) See you later.

Brent: Yeah see you… (Hugs Sam) I’ll see you in the morning.

Sam: All right.

Heidi: Okay. (Heidi and Brent sit back down as Sam leaves) I’m so sorry.

Brent: Listen…

Heidi: And I’m so embarrassed.

Brent: You gotta get that under control.

Heidi: I know.

Brent: Like this is no joke. You get one shot with Sam.

Heidi: Yeah.

Brent: That’s it so…I’ll just…I’ll talk to you in the morning. (He gets up) You’ve got some decisions to make. (He leaves her there to think about what just happened with Spencer. She puts her hands through her hair, obviously frustrated and upset about the situation)

CUT TO:
Night - LA – Lauren, Audrina & Lo’s House

Lauren is cooking dinner for the three of them as Lo sits in the kitchen watching her.

Lauren: (Cutting tomatoes) I have no idea how long those crab legs need to be in. (Chloe is standing near Laure, watching)

Lo: Go look at ‘em. Poke ‘em around. See what happens.

Lauren: Really?

Lo: Yeah. (Lauren goes over to  the stove where the crab legs are cooking) We might have tongs. (Lauren reaches in the pot and take some out and eats it) Done? (Lauren hands some to Lo) I know that they cook fast. All fish cooks fast. (She eats the crab) Oh they’re done.

Lauren: Oh okay.

Lo: They’re definitely done. (Lauren takes the pot off of the stove)

Lauren: I told Audrina we were doing dinner so I don’t know…

Lo: Oh yeah.

Lauren: (Bangs on a pot) Dinner!

Lo: Audrina, come on!

Lauren: Is she still back there? (Lauren looks for Audrina)

Lo: I’m gonna eat all the cheese before she gets here. Which is not gonna be good for my behind. I just feel like I haven’t really gotten to know her yet and we’ve been living together for a while now. I don’t know. I’m like to go into her little house too. (Lauren makes a face like she’s saying me too as she eats some food) Yeah I like don’t think that I’m welcome back there.

Lauren: Yeah.

Lo: Yeah. But why do you think that is? (Lauren shrugs)

Lauren: I don’t know. The only thing’s that changed is that we’re somewhere new and you’re here now too so I spend more time with you.

Lo: If she feels that way, then it’s just gonna continue to grow. It’s not gonna get better.

Lauren: I think I should talk to her.

Lo: Well good. I’m glad you nominated yourself. (They both laugh. Just then Audrina opens her door and leaves the guest house)

Lauren: Do you wanna grab plates? Should we set a table? (They look over and see Audrina outside. But instead of walking inside, she keeps walking outside, leaving the house)

Lo: What…?Was that Audrina?

Lauren: She just left. That’s weird.

Lo: Okay well I guess it’s you and me. (Lauren looks upset about Audrina as she cuts more tomatoes)

CUT TO:
The Next Day – Las Vegas – Palazzo Hotel

Brent is standing outside waiting for Heidi when Sam shows up in his car.

Brent: Yo, yo.

Sam: (Gets out of the car) What’s up? How are you? (They high five) Ready to roll?

Brent: Two minutes for Heidi.

Sam: (Looks at his watch) Two minutes? We gotta go man.

Brent: I just left her a message.

Sam: Seriously, we gotta go. We gotta fly this thing, we gotta…there’s a big delay at the airport.

Brent: (Dialing Heidi again) Hold on, I’ll…one more call.

Sam: All right. I’ll be in the car. (Sam gets back in the car)

Brent: (Leaving Heidi a message) Heidi, it’s Brent. We’re gonna go. Sam’s gonna leave without you. (He hangs up. Then he gets in the car and they leave without Heidi)

CUT TO:
Inside Hotel

Heidi comes down the escalator with Spencer and Stephanie, meaning she decided to go back to LA with Spencer.

CUT TO:
That Night – LA – Lauren, Audrina & Lo’s House

Lo is lying in her bed when Lauren comes in.

Lauren: Hey Kid.

Lo: Hi. What you doing?

Lauren: Nothing. (Sits on Lo’s bed)

Lo: Did you have a good day at work? (Lauren nods) Oh my gosh. You’re upset. What’s wrong?

Lauren: I feel like I should go talk to Audrina. I mean I know she’s feeling left out and I want to be there to like make her feel better like a friend but…I feel uncomfortable even going out there.

Lo: Yeah. That’s what’s difficult about the situation, you know, I’m really glad that you guys are going to talk it out, but at the same time, from experiences that I’ve had with roommates, like if there’s problems, there’s gonna be more problems. She doesn’t owe us anything but I mean if you’re roommates with somebody, you know, like you want to be a part of their lives. I mean yeah there’s been like a little bit of tension in the house but… (Laughs) I don’t know what to tell you. It’s ridiculous.

Lauren: You gotta remember we have like a twelve year uh, lead on her in our friendship.

Lo: Yeah but for me too, you know, like I’m living with her too though. I wanna live in a fun house with girls who are my best friends. I just don’t know if she’s gonna be the one though to come into the house and just hang out. (Lauren walks over to Audrina’s guest house. Audrina is sitting on her couch. Lauren approaches the door and knocks. Audrina looks up from the book she’s reading and waves and Lauren opens the door, coming in)

Lauren: Hey.

Audrina: Hello. (Lauren shuts the door, looking around)

Lauren: Oh my gosh, it looks really good.

Audrina: I know it’s finally done.

Lauren: Yeah it looks pretty.

Audrina: Thanks. (Lauren sits down next to her)

Lauren: Good job.

Audrina: It did have potential.

Lauren: I mean I knew you would make it something amazing ‘cause you have good taste. You’re always out here. We never get to see you anymore.

Audrina: I know. It’s different…it’s weird living back here because like at the apartment, our rooms were like next to each other so it’s like…I don’t why, I just feel weird going upstairs like it’s not my business being up there, kind of.

Lauren: But Lo and I want you to come up.

Audrina: Yeah.

Lauren: ‘Cause I mean when we all went to move in, we were so excited about all…

Audrina: I know.

Lauren: Living together and I just feel like we’ve all being doing our own thing and like not spending any time together. But I don’t know I just feel weird. I feel I’ve barely hung out with you.

Audrina: I’ve just…honestly I’ve just been doing my own thing lately.

Lauren: I just feel like slowly, slowly, I don’t know what it is but we’re growing apart and I don’t know if I did something or if I’m doing something but it’s bumming me out because you’re one of my good…

Audrina: I just feel sometimes when I’m talking to you, like you’ll like ignore me. It always feels like you’re ignoring me because of Lo. So I’m like…you know?

Lauren: When have I done that to you?

Audrina: You’ve done it.

Lauren: What when?

Audrina: Many times. Lauren…

Lauren: Okay. I didn’t wanna like fight more with you, I just was letting you know that…how I felt.

Audrina: Everything was fine when it was just me and you living together and it just seems since Lo’s in the picture, you’re distant from me.

Lauren: I…but I’ve been going out of my way to try and be like ‘Do you wanna do something, duh, duh, duh’ and like every time you just like…you…

Audrina: Well no like last night it was nice that you, you know, invited me to have crab with you guys but I already had plans. I know I don’t tell you everything all the time…

Lauren: You don’t have to tell me everything. But you don’t tell me anything anymore. It’s what friends do. They talk to each other when they have problems. I’m here all the time. You can walk in there.

Audrina: It’s not about you, you know. I just feel like Lo is the one pushing us apart too.

Lauren: (A tear falls and she wipes it away) Lo’s done nothing to push us apart. (Lauren is now crying) On my side.

Audrina: Okay.

Lauren: (Now in tears)  I’ve never let the opinions of others affect my friendships. Like I don’t do that. (Audrina sighs as Lauren wipes away more tears. Then the two girls sit there in silence. Then it cuts to Lauren leaving the guest house and walking back to the main house as Audrina gets up from the couch. Then it cuts to what has recently just been Heidi’s apartment. Spencer and Heidi pull up in Spencer’s car. He parks it in front of the apartment and they get out and Spencer opens the trunk to get their stuff as Heidi stands at the curb. Spencer walks up to her with the suitcases.)

Spencer: Ready to go in? (She nods and they go inside. Then it cuts to Lauren walking back to the main house, still wiping away tears and going inside the house)
