Previously on The Hills…
Lauren: (V.O.) We were all going through some
pretty big changes in LA.
Heidi: if you leave, don’t come back. Spencer!
Lauren: (V.O.) After so many ups and downs,
Heidi finally called off the wedding with Spencer.
Heidi: It’s not working. I need some space.
Lauren: (V.O.) And went home to Colorado to be
alone. And just when Brody and I were finally figuring things out…
Brody: I’ll always be there for you and you’ll
always be there for me.
Lauren: Okay.
Lauren: (V.O.) Teen Vogue was sending Whitney
and me to Paris to work on a story about the Crillon ball.
Whitney: Oh my god!
Lauren: I’m so excited.
Lauren: (V.O.) That meant putting things on hold
with Brody.
Brody: I’m a little sad that you’re leaving.
Lauren: (V.O.) But I had turned down Paris for a
boy before. And I wouldn’t make that mistake again. I hoped things would be the
same when I got back. But a part of me knew Paris was about to change
everything.
CUT TO: Aeroports de Paris
Whitney and Lauren get off the plane and enter
the airport with their stuff on carts to meet their driver.
Whitney: (Noticing the man with the sign for
Teen Vogue) Hi.
Stefan: Hi.
Whitney: How are you?
Stefan: (Shaking Whitney’s hand) I’m Stefan.
Whitney: Hi I’m Whitney.
Stefan: Nice to meet you.
Whitney: Nice to meet you.
Stefan: (To Lauren) Hi.
Lauren: (Shakes his hand) Hi I’m Lauren nice to
meet you.
Stefan: Nice to meet you. (As they leave the
airport) How was the flight?
Whitney: Really good.
Stefan: Yeah?
Whitney: Yeah.
Stefan: Perfect?
Lauren: Ooh I can feel the cold already.
Whitney: Oh it feels good. (Cut to outside. They
have arrived at their car. He starts to load up the trunk)
Stefan: (Handing a dress in a bag to Lauren)
Just hang on to this for the moment.
Lauren: Okay.
Stefan: I’ll arrange everything. (Lauren and
Whitney get in the car as he finishes loading the car. He then says something
in French)
Whitney: Thank you. (Then the car takes off)
Stefan: So we are in Paris.
Lauren: Yay!
Whitney: We’re so excited.
Stefan: It’s a new world for you.
Lauren: Yes it is.
Whitney: Yeah.
Stefan: (Laughs) Everything is different.
Lauren: How is it different?
Stefan: That is up to you to see.
Whitney: It’s the Eiffel Tower (Lauren sees it
and squeals) What do we wanna do?
Stefan: Ah you have your itinerary. Uh…there.
Whitney: Okay. (They look at it)
Stefan: For your week.
Lauren: Do you know the location to these
stores?
Stefan: Tell me.
Whitney: Uh, Gavinci?
Stefan: Gavonchi.
Lauren & Whitney: Gavonchi.
Stefan: Sure.
Lauren: And um…
Lauren & Whitney: Alberta Ferretti.
Stefan: Yeah they are close.
Lauren: We should pick up our ball gowns.
Whitney: Oh my gosh. We’re supposed to go to
Colette first to pick up shoes for two of the debutantes.
Lauren: Are they appointments or just…?
Whitney: I doubt they’re appointments.
Lauren: We wanna get our gowns.
Whitney: Okay so then can we go to Alberta
Ferretti first to pick up our ball gowns?
Stefan: Of course.
Lauren: I don’t think it’ll make a difference.
CUT TO: Opening Credits
CUT TO: Crested Butte, Colorado
Heidi and her mom get off the ski lift and head
inside the lounge and sit down.
Darlene: Oh this is so fun. It’s great to have
you here. You come home for a little while and have some coco and snow.
Heidi: And be with my momma. Just being here
I’ve been kinda thinking about Spencer a lot.
Darlene: You really need to figure out what you
want for yourself and he needs to do the same thing.
Heidi: I don’t even know if I can do this even
after these fights and after everything, the relationship doesn’t just mend
itself and go back to normal like it’s gonna take a lot of work.
Darlene: You have a lot of growing up to do,
both of you individually. I mean I would love to see you starting fresh and…and
just working on yourself for a little while.
Heidi: Yeah.
Darlene: And if he’s not gonna agree to that and
respect that and want what’s best for you…
CUT TO: Night – Paris – Alberta Ferretti
Lauren and Whitney go inside to pick up their
ball gowns. It cuts to inside. Andreas, brings up stairs to get the gowns.
Andreas: So are you ready for tonight?
Whitney: So excited.
Andreas: Your magic, magic night. Paris is
beautiful and the ball de Crillon is amazing, you will see dresses.
Lauren: Yeah.
Whitney: We’re so excited.
Andreas: We will be back in two seconds.
Whitney: Okay. (He and another worker go to get
the gowns) Thank you so much.
Lauren: Okay thanks. (To Whitney) I love that
there’s feathers.
Whitney: You love feathers. Wow… (They come back
with the dresses) Those are beautiful.
Andreas: So…
Whitney: Those are beautiful.
Andreas: Whitney… (He is holding a black dress
while the woman is holding a blue dress)
Whitney: Yes?
Whitney: This one is your dress. (To Lauren) Ooh
look at your dress.
Lauren: Very pretty.
Andreas: I will leave you my business card.
Whitney: Okay great.
Lauren: Okay.
Whitney: Thank you. And if we need anything, we
know where to find you now so… (She puts the business card in her purse)
Andreas: Thank you.
Whitney: Thank you.
Andreas: Ciao.
Whitney: Bye.
Andreas: Have fun. (Lauren and Whitney leave the
store. Cut to the car as Stefan puts their dresses in the trunk)
Stefan: Was it good?
Whitney: Yeah.
Lauren: It was very good. (They get inside the
car. Then the car drives away)
Stefan: Okay.
Whitney: So now we head to Colette to get the
shoes, right?
Lauren: Yeah. We just have to stop by. I mean I
think they’re just waiting for us like the dresses were.
Whitney: Okay.
Lauren: It’s so pretty here. (They reach
Collette and the girls get out of the car. They try to open the door but it
will not open meaning the store is closed)
Whitney: Oh my god. (She looks in just to make
sure)
Lauren: Is it closed?
Whitney: It’s totally closed.
Lauren: Um…
Whitney: What do we do? We’ll have to come back
in the morning. I don’t know what else to do.
Lauren: Do you see the hours anywhere?
Whitney: No. All right let’s get in the car.
(They get in the car) Sorry it’s fine it’s closed. It’s closed. (The car drives
off) Clearly we should have gotten the shoes first and our dresses second.
Either way, one of them wouldn’t have been opened…
Lauren: And we would have had to go…
Whitney: Exactly. So either way we go naked or
the girls go shoeless.
Lauren: Honestly in the situation I think they’d
probably prefer u naked.
Whitney: Yeah I just get so nervous when so
unprepared.
Lauren: I mean it’s our first night here. I’m
sure they’ll understand.
Whitney: Oh I’m so nauseous. (To herself) Deep
breaths, deep breaths, deep breaths, deep breaths, deep breaths.
CUT TO: Los Angeles – Heidi & Spencer’s
Apartment
Spencer is there alone making food. The place is
a total mess since Heidi left. Someone knocks at the door.
Spencer: Just a sec. (He opens the door and it
is Stephanie) Oh what up? (He hugs her)
Stephanie: Hi.
Spencer: Hello darling.
Stephanie: How are you? (She comes in and shuts
the door)
Spencer: I’ve been better.
Stephanie: Spencer, what is wrong with your
place? (She goes in the kitchen) It’s disgusting.
Spencer: (He is now sitting down) You clean it
up then.
Stephanie: What is going on?
Spencer: Heidi went back to Colorado.
Stephanie: What happened?
Spencer: She just flipped out. It’s just so
stupid.
Stephanie: It’s kind of like touché. You leave
her, she leaves you.
Spencer: Yeah that’s one way of looking at it,
yeah.
Stephanie: You know if she went home and like
her parents like liked you, this could be a great thing but in your case, it
really doesn’t sound good. So what are you gonna do?
Spencer: Go find her on the mountain in
Colorado.
Stephanie: Spencer, it’s just like you don’t
think. She just needs space from you. You need like a manual or something.
Spencer: I don’t know what to do.
Stephanie: I mean I guess you can just write a
list of everything you’ve done and do the exact opposite.
CUT TO: Paris – It is now daytime – Le grand
hotel (where Lauren and Whitney are staying)
Whitney: I wonder what we’re doing today.
They’re supposed to give us an itinerary every morning.
Lauren: Oh…there. (She gets up and gets the
itinerary someone shoved under the door)
Whitney: What’s it say?
Lauren: Oh it says we have a photo shoot to help
out with. (She flops back down on the bed)
Whitney: What time?
Lauren: 10:30. We have to find out what time
Collette opens ‘cause we have to get shoes before that.
Whitney: We have to leave here pretty soon.
Lauren: Okay. Have you taken a shower?
Whitney: No.
Lauren: Dirty girl.
Whitney; You want to shower first? How long do
you take?
Lauren: Well today I take about twenty minutes.
Whitney: Yeah today we don’t really have a
choice.
CUT TO: Crested Butte Colorado
A plane lands and Spencer comes out of the
airport. Then it cuts to him driving to Heidi’s parent’s house to go see Heidi.
CUT TO: Heidi’s Parent’s House
Heidi’s step-father Tim is outside shoveling
snow when Spencer pulls in the driveway. He stops when Spencer gets out of the
car and he doesn’t look too happy to see him.
Spencer: Well hello Tim. Sorry to barge in on
you guys uninvited. What’s going on?
Tim: What the heck? What are you doing here?
Spencer: I just had to get out here. Heidi and I
kinda left things on some bad terms and so I was like ‘I need to get out there
and get everything resolved’.
Tim: Well…phone call? I mean a phone call is a
good idea. Did you…?
Spencer: Her phone just goes straight to
voicemail and her message box is full so…
Tim: Yeah.
Spencer: You know she didn’t even really say if
she was coming back or not so…I’m not about to wait in LA for Heidi to come
back.
Tim: Well she’s happy here. If you’re part of
the picture, I…happy that you can be part of the picture too but Heidi
certainly comes first in our eyes so…they’ll be back later. I suppose you can
wait inside and wait for them to come if you’d like.
Spencer: Thank you so much. (They both head
inside the house)
CUT TO: Crillon Hotel – Teen Vogue Photo Shoot
The girls’ car stops in front of the hotel.
Stefan opens their door to let them out and they proceed to go inside the
hotel.
CUT TO: Inside Crillon Hotel
Debutantes are getting their makeup done for the
shoot and others are getting ready as Lauren and Whitney walk in.
Kimble: Welcome to Paris ladies.
Lauren: Hello.
Kimble: You can put those shoes in that table.
Um…so you guys can get a little bit comfortable if you want ‘cause we’ll be
here for a bit. (Lauren takes off her jacket) Lauren you can get Josephine and
B. Um, they’re in hair and makeup.
Lauren: Okay I’ll go grab ‘em.
Kimble: Um… (Lauren leaves to go to hair and
makeup) and then Whitney, it would be great if you could sort of be my ears and
write down quotes or anything that they say in related to the ball and maybe
even ask them some questions.
Whitney: Okay.
Woman: Yeah to include like more of this wall
and just slight bit of the graphics, exactly.
Lauren: (She walks in with two debutantes) The
girls are ready.
Kimble: Hi Josephine.
Josephine: Hi.
Kimble: I’m Kimble (They shake hands) we’ve met
before.
Josephine: Yes.
Kimble: (Shakes Beatrice’s hand) Beatrice, nice
to see you. So it’s already such a formal event, we just want you guys to be
really relaxed and casual and comfortable and Teen Vogue loves smiles so smiles
will be good. (Lauren’s phone rings.)
Woman: Very nice uh…which it seemed like…
Lauren: Sorry. (She leaves the room to answer the
call)
Woman: Like natural and…so…
Whitney: (Talking to the debutantes) So you guys
are in college now? Is this your first year in college?
Debutante: Yeah.
Whitney: Okay. So you’re both eighteen. (She
writes it down in the notebook she is holding. It then cuts to Lauren outside
on her phone talking to Audrina)
Lauren: Audrina?
Audrina: Hey Lauren.
Lauren: Hang on. (She looks at her phone) What
time is it there?
Audrina: I actually just got home, it’s like two
thirty. I went to Le Deux tonight. I saw Brody and Frankie there.
Lauren: Oh fun. Did you have fun?
Audrina: Yeah I had fun. But I think you should
know something. Um, Brody was with another girl the whole time and he kept
calling her his girlfriend.
Lauren: He has a girlfriend?
Audrina: Yeah they were all like hugging and
kissing the whole night. (Lauren looks upset by this news) I’m sorry. (Cut to
photo shoot)
Kimble: When she finishes this role we’ll close
the door up.
Woman: Done. Gorgeous.
Kimble: Okay. You can close it. (Lauren comes
back in the room)
Woman: Okay so we’re done…
Lauren: What’s next?
Whitney: Everything okay?
Lauren: Audrina saw Brody out and he was with
Frankie and some girl and he was like calling the girl his girlfriend.
Whitney: Really?
Lauren: Mmm-hmm.
Whitney: That uh, took two days. (Whitney laughs
and Lauren looks at her, very upset) You okay?
Lauren: Yeah. (Whitney moves Lauren’s hair out
of her face)
Whitney: We can find boyfriends in two days. If
he can do it, so can we. I’m sure Paris is full of guys that are cooler than
Brody.
CUT TO: Crested Butte Colorado – Heidi’s
Parent’s House
Spencer is sitting with Heidi’s stepfather.
Spencer is looking at his phone as Tim looks at him, clearly unhappy to see
Spencer. Just then, Heidi and Darlene walk in the door.
Heidi: (As they take off their jackets) It’s
freezing outside.
Darlene: It’s so cold.
Tim: Hello! (They walk into the room Tim and
Spencer are in, not knowing Spencer is there)
Heidi: Hi Daddy.
Spencer: Hey Heidi.
Darlene: Hello. (Heidi looks shocked when she
sees Spencer sitting there with roses for her)
Heidi: Hi.
Darlene: Hi Spencer.
Spencer: Hello Darlene. (Spencer walks over to
Heidi and hands her the roses which she takes)
Heidi: What are you doing here? (Darlene goes
into the kitchen)
Spencer: Just you know in the neighborhood,
stopping by.
Darlene: (To Tim) Honey, you wanna help me with
something?
Tim: Yeah sure. (He leaves Heidi and Spencer
alone)
Spencer: Thanks again Tim.
Heidi: So you’ve just been sitting with my Dad?
Spencer: Sure have. I didn’t know if you were
ever gonna pick up your phone.
Heidi: I mean I haven’t answered the phone since
I don’t….I don’t even know what to say to you right now.
Spencer: And I don’t expect you to say anything
to me. It’s about me getting off my chest what I didn’t get to say in LA.
Heidi: Right it’s about you. This is all about
you coming here. This isn’t about me. You’ve been wanting…
Spencer: No I’m saying it’s about me ‘cause if
it was about just me, I wouldn’t be here.
Heidi: Well yeah I don’t really know what to say
right now so…
CUT TO: Paris
Lauren and Whitney are walking down the street.
Whitney: Wait so are these guys we’re meeting
again?
Lauren: They’re um, from that band Rock &
Roll that um…
Whitney: Oh.
Lauren: Audrina and I met them when we were
going to see some other band play. They’re really nice guys.
Whitney: Oh good.
Lauren: So…
Whitney: I’m excited.
Lauren: It’s good to know someone here. (They go
inside Plaza Athenee. The band, Rock & Roll, is sitting down when Lauren
and Whitney walk in)
Guy: You know here right?
Matthias: Yup.
Guy: Lauren is cute.
Matthias: Here they are. Stand up. (The band
stands up as Lauren and Whitney approach them)
Whitney: Hello.
Matthias: Hi.
Guy: Ladies welcome to Paris.
Lauren: Hi.
Whitney: Hi I’m Whitney. (She shakes hands with
one of them)
Guy: Nice to meet you.
Lauren: Hi.
Whitney: Nice to meet you.
Paul: Hi I’m Paul. (Shakes hands with Whitney)
Whitney: Hi.
Guy: Hi how are you?
Whitney: Good how are you? (They all sit down)
Matthias: We didn’t get a chance to see you the
other day in LA.
Whitney: But you met Audrina.
Lauren: My roommate.
Paul: She’s in Paris too?
Whitney: No she’s not in Paris.
Paul: But you two work at Teen Vogue?
Whitney: Yeah we both work there yeah. So we’re
here working at that Crillon ball on Saturday. So we’re just preparing.
Paul: Did you get your dress yet?
Whitney: Yes we got it yesterday. Yeah.
Lauren: We get to wear like really long pretty
dresses. I’m excited. I’ve never been to a ball.
Paul: This is like the big ball.
Whitney: It’s a big deal right?
Paul: It is.
Whitney: Yeah.
Matthias: Lauren. Have you seen the Eiffel
Tower?
Lauren: No.
Matthias: No?
Lauren: I saw a little bit when we drove by but
just the very top.
Matthias: We should…we should go to the Eiffel
Tower.
Lauren: I really wanna go. There’s a light show
right?
Matthias: Yes, let’s do that, yes. We can do
whenever you want.
Paul: So if we go to the Eiffel Tower, we have
to stop and buy a bottle of champagne and just pop it.
Lauren: Yes!
Matthias: Yes let’s do that.
Lauren: That’s all I want. (Lauren squeals. Cut
to them leaving the club and heading to the Eiffel Tower) Oh my god I can see
it.
Whitney: Yeah.
Lauren: Oh it is really close.
Whitney: I can’t believe you haven’t seen the
Eiffel Tower yet. It’s so pretty. It’s just like the lights look so pretty.
Matthias: (As they get closer) There it is. (As
they go up to it, it shows the lights as they sparkle)
Lauren: Whitney! (She squeals)
Whitney: We’re here.
Lauren: Is that the exact center?
Matthias: That’s it, yeah.
Paul: (As he pops the champagne) Woo!
Whitney: Cheers! Oh my gosh!
Lauren: Hello Paris!
CUT TO: Le Grand Hotel
Lauren: Ah!
Whitney: What?
Lauren: (Reading French dictionary) Brody is écume…écume…scum.
(They both laugh) I need to go find a rebounder.
Whitney: A real man?
Lauren: No rebound.
Whitney: Oh! (They both laugh)
Lauren: I don’t know where your head’s at now.
Whitney: Yeah.
Lauren: (Looking at her phone) They’re all going
out, they just said.
Whitney: The boys wanna go out?
Lauren: Paul and Matthias are going out. They’re
going out to a club Neo.
Whitney: So then let’s go.
Lauren: Oh…
Whitney: If we’re too tired then we’ll come
back.
Lauren: He said it’s pretty fancy. Do you have
going out dresses?
Whitney: Yeah I think I can figure something
out.
Lauren: Honestly like dude…my dresses are like
pencil skirts. (She laughs)
Whitney: Really? (Lauren mumbles something as
she looks at her phone) I don’t know what to tell you. We always have our ball
gowns. (She laughs as Lauren thinks seriously about that. Lauren turns around
and looks at the ball gowns that are hanging up) That’s psycho talk. What? (Lauren
goes up to her dress, touching it) What are you doing?
Lauren: I’ve done it with a couple of my prom
dresses. I have like a little sewing kit in my thing. You just do like a light
running stitch.
Whitney: You would know how to sew that and not
make any holes or anything?
Lauren: Yeah you just do it right on the seam,
it’s fine.
Whitney: Just remember we’re wearing these
tomorrow.
Lauren: I’ll let it down when I get home.
Whitney: It’s up to you.
Lauren: It’ll be cute.
Whitney: Okay. (Lauren takes the dress down in
order to do what she wants to do to it)
CUT TO: Crested Butte – It is night. Heidi,
Spencer and her parents are at dinner at Timberline Restaurant. No one is
saying anything as they all sit there. It looks really awkward as Heidi sits
next to Tim, glaring at Spencer who is next to Darlene.
Spencer: The weather is beautiful. (The waiter
brings their drinks)
Darlene: It is. It’s been amazing.
Heidi: (To waiter) Thank you Paul.
Darlene: This is like the best winter we’ve had
for so long.
Heidi: I’d like to make a toast.
Tim: Really?
Heidi: Yeah.
Tim: Awesome.
Heidi: To my parents, who have always loved and
support me. I love you so much and uh…that’s about it. Cheers. (They raise
their glasses and do cheers)
Spencer: Cheers to that.
Tim: Cheers. Thank you.
Darlene: We love you sweetheart.
Heidi: Planning on staying long?
Spencer: We’ll see.
Heidi: What were you saying today, Mom, about
like if he really cared about my needs, he would respect the space, what were you
saying about that?
Darlene: Heidi has expressed that she needs some
time to just to be able to get her head together and some time to herself and…
Spencer: Well it all comes down to I don’t feel
like we ever had any problems in our relationship until brilliant Spencer
decided we should get married.
Heidi: He left on several occasions.
Spencer: Don’t you feel like a hypocrite since
you just left?
Heidi: After I asked you not to leave twice and
the one time I left and I need to go to my family to clear my head, you just
show up.
Spencer: Sweetheart I never meant to come here
to make you more upset. My goal to come here was to apologize for everything
I’ve done…
Heidi: If you really were thinking about what I
wanted, and respecting what I asked of you, and respecting what I needed, you
wouldn’t have come here at all.
Spencer: I really wanted to come apologize to
you ‘cause the second you left, I realized Heidi’s my whole life and I should
treat her with the respect that she deserves…
Heidi: Are you almost done?
Darlene: Uh, no. Do you want me to be almost
done?
Spencer: I’m done if you’d like me to leave.
CUT TO: Paris – Le Grand Hotel
Lauren and Whitney exit the hotel and head for
club Neo.
Whitney: Looks good. (They walk down the street)
CUT TO: Neo Nightclub
Lauren and Whitney go inside and find Paul and
Matthias.
Whitney: (To Paul) Hello. (She kisses him on
both cheeks)
Paul: How are you?
Whitney: Good.
Paul: Good?
Whitney: How are you?
Paul: Great.
Gricha: Hello Lauren.
Lauren: Hello. (She hugs Gricha)
Matthias: (To Whitney) How are you?
Whitney: How are you?
Lauren: You wanna sit?
Whitney: Yeah that’s sit.
Lauren: Cool.
Whitney: Over here… (They all sit down) I like
it in here.
Lauren: I do too.
Whitney: It’s cool.
Gricha: You like this place?
Whitney: Yeah I like it. (To Vincent) Sorry I
don’t mean to have my back to you. How are you doing? (Edoardo, an escort for
the ball, comes up to Lauren)
Edoardo: Hello. (Lauren kisses him on both
cheek)
Lauren: How are you? Good to see you. (He sits
down next to Lauren)
Whitney: This guy is one of the escorts at the
ball. We met him earlier today at a rehearsal. (Lauren and Matthias look at
each other and Matthias looks jealous of Edoardo)
Edoardo: So you leave in one week?
Lauren: No, I’m leaving on Sunday.
Edoardo: Oh okay.
Lauren: Yeah. (Matthias sits next to Lauren)
Well hello. How you doing?
Matthias: I love your dress.
Lauren: Thank you.
Matthias: Very pretty.
Lauren: This is Eduard.
Matthias: Eduardo.
Edoardo: (Shakes his hand) Hi nice to meet you.
Matthias: Matthias.
Edoardo: Edoardo…Eduard is fine.
Lauren: Eduard is an escort at the ball we’re
going to tomorrow night.
Edoardo: Lauren, you will come with me to the
ball tomorrow night?
Lauren: I will be at the ball. It’s gonna be
fun.
Edoardo: Yeah. (He dances a little bit)
Matthias: Is he your new best friend?
Lauren: Is he my new best…? No.
Matthias: Are you dating anybody?
Lauren: No I’m single.
Matthias: Yeah?
Lauren: Yes not dating anybody.
Matthias: Are you sad to go back to LA very
soon?
Lauren: A little bit sad because I didn’t really
get to see Paris. I mean I got to see a couple things but I really wanted like
a day here to like explore.
Matthias: Yes it’s a shame. It’s a beautiful city.
Edoardo: Do you like this place?
Lauren: I do actually yeah. (Matthias gets up,
says something in French and then goes and whispers something to one of the
other band members as Lauren watches)
Edoardo: Do you surf? (She looks at him and
shakes her head)
Lauren: It’s already two o’clock here.
Whitney: We should go yeah, yeah, yeah. We have
a big day tomorrow. (Lauren and Whitney get up)
Lauren: (To Edoardo) I’ll see you tomorrow.
(Hugs Edoardo and he kisses her on both cheeks. It then cuts to outside as they
leave.)
Whitney: It was cool that we kinda like knew
people there you know?
Lauren: I know. (Matthias catches up to them. He
grabs Lauren from behind, which frightens her) Oh my gosh, you scared me.
Matthias: You…you were leaving without telling
me bye, bye.
Lauren: I…what?
Matthias: You were leaving without kissing me
bye, bye. (She kisses him on both cheeks) oh you go back in two days?
Lauren: K.
Matthias: This would be really very great to
have um, last drink out. All together, okay?
Lauren: Okay. (He blows her a kiss before going
back to the club as they walk away)
CUT TO: Le Grand Hotel
Whitney: I’m laying out all my jewelry so we can
see what would maybe look good with our dresses. That guy was kinda strange
last night, from the ball, the escort.
Lauren: Which one?
Whitney: The one you were dancing with.
Lauren: He said that last year was really fun.
He’s like ‘But this year’s gonna be even better’.
Whitney: I hope so.
Lauren: What do you mean?
Whitney: I don’t know. (Lauren grabs her dress)
I just thought I’d get to do more this trip.
Lauren: I thought Teen Vogue said you were do
more styling.
Whitney: Yeah I thought so too.
Lauren: (Fixing the stitch on her dress) What
are you gonna do?
Whitney: I have no idea. (Lauren finishes the
stitch and cuts it with scissors)
Lauren: See, look. You can’t even tell.
Whitney: Just be careful. Yeah just….
Lauren: Look it.
Whitney: Okay. Oh I’m so excited to wear our
dresses. I wore this…look at these angs…what do you think of this? It’s
like…I’m not gonna wear them…
Lauren: (It closes up on her dress, which has a
brown stain on it) Oh my god.
Whitney: Ew…what is that?
Lauren: It looks like coffee. (She touches it
and smells it. She hands it to Whitney)
Whitney: Oh my god.
Lauren: That wasn’t there last night. I checked
my dress when I got home last night.
Whitney: Where…where is that on the dress? Where
is that on the dress? (Lauren picks the dress up) Oh my god it’s there too.
Lauren: That…No I swear to God when I got home
last night, I checked it ‘cause I thought ‘cause it was so smoky in there and
like drinks everywhere.
Whitney: Well I don’t…I mean, should we call
Kimble?
Lauren: No.
Whitney: Don’t cry. It’s okay, it’s okay.
Lauren: I…Oh my god.
Whitney: What? (Lauren gets up and goes over to
her curling iron) What?
Lauren: (In tears) The curling iron is on.
Whitney: (Lauren goes back over to Whitney) The
curling iron does something like that?
Lauren: If it’s fabric, it burns.
Whitney: Oh my gosh…
Lauren: I can’t go to the ball without a gown.
Do you still have that guy’s card?
Whitney: I think I do. I put it in my wallet.
(She opens her wallet and take out Andreas’ card) I mean the thing is that we
ruined one dress and I doubt he’s like ‘Oh yeah let me just…’ but…you want me
to call? (Whitney dials the number) It’s okay we’ll figure this out. (On the
phone) Um hi Andreas. This is Whitney from Teen Vogue. I met you the other day
with the dresses. Um, so we have a little bit of a setback. We discovered that
there’s a little stain on the dress and we just want to know if there’s any
possible way of maybe stopping by and seeing if there was anything you can
help…I know it’s not your problem, it’s completely our problem but we have to
be at the ball in an hour and we would really, really appreciate your help.
Okay thank you so much. Okay buh bye. (She hangs up) So he said that he has a
dress for you if we can there in fifteen minutes.
Lauren: Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go.
Whitney: Okay. (They hurriedly grab their stuff
and head out the hotel room)
Lauren: (Hurrying Whitney) Come on. (It cuts to
them getting out of the elevator and running outside. It then cuts to the car
as they head to the store)
Whitney: This is gonna be a stomachache.
Lauren: Don’t tell Kimble, okay?
Whitney: I’m not gonna say a word.
Lauren: Maybe he doesn’t know which dress they
picked for me.
Whitney: (To Stefan) Well thank you for driving
fast for us.
Lauren: Thanks.
Whitney: It really means a lot. (The car stops
in front of the store. Lauren gets out. He gets out to open her door but she is
already out)
Lauren: I got it, I got it. (She runs to the
door but it is locked so she knocks and Andreas comes down with a huge bag in
his hands which makes Lauren smile. He unlocks the door) Thank you, thank you,
thank you. (She takes the dress from him)
Andreas: Oh it’s an amazing gown. Very, very
precious.
Lauren: Thank you very much.
Andreas: Be careful.
Lauren: I’ll take very good care of it.
Andreas: Bye.
Lauren: Thank you. (Lauren gets back in the car
as Stefan puts her dress in the trunk)
CUT TO: Crested Butte Colorado – Crested Butte
Brewery
Heidi and Spencer sit down at a table.
Spencer: It’s quite cold in here.
Heidi: Welcome to Colorado. (A waitress brings
water) can I get a um, hot tea please?
Waitress: Sure.
Heidi: Thank you.
Spencer: Can I get a green tea please also? (The
waitress leaves)
Heidi: So when are you leaving?
Spencer: Trust me, I regret coming.
Heidi: I mean you coming here, it just confirms
everything I was thinking.
Spencer: You know what am I supposed to do? You
don’t pick up the phone, you don’t call me…how am I…?
Heidi: Because I don’t know what to say to you.
Spencer: That’s my point, that you don’t know
what you want and I do so we’re in two different places.
Heidi: I mean it’s not so easy. What do you
expect me to do?
Spencer: Heidi it’s not…we fought trying to plan
a wedding.
Heidi: But was it about the wedding? Like is
that what we were really fighting about?
Spencer: Yeah it was actually.
Heidi: I feel like it has something to do with
us rushing into it so fast. I feel like it has so much to do with me moving in
so quickly and the pressure and then right away we’re engaged and this and
that. I mean it’s all happening so quickly that I just feel like…
Spencer: It’s fine.
Heidi: It’s too much pressure for both of us. I
just I want my friends back too and I just want to have my whole life back
together not just our relationship.
Spencer: It’s like what do you want me to say?
It’s like…huh, huh, huh…all you do is keep stabbing me. It’s like why don’t you
just break up with me?
Heidi: Oh you want to break up?
Spencer: Nothing’s getting resolved here.
Heidi: I feel like I’m in a one way relationship
here.
Spencer: Yeah you’re about to be in one.
Heidi: What’s that supposed to mean? I feel like
when I get back, I want you to be moved out.
Spencer: You’re delusional.
Heidi: You live on your own, I’ll live on my
own.
Spencer: Well, at least we got some things
resolved.
CUT TO: Paris – The Crillon Ball
Stefan stops the car in front of the hotel. He
gets out and then lets the girls out.
Whitney: (To doorman who let her out) Thank you.
Lauren: Bon swa. Let’s go.
Whitney: Ready? (They go inside the hotel)
Lauren: Wanna share?
Whitney: Share. (They go through the spinning
door area and inside the hotel) Looking good. (It cuts to all the debutantes
and escorts dancing then it cuts to Lauren and Whitney helping out)
Woman: (To Whitney) You’ll be standing there…
Whitney: Okay.
Woman; And holding the awards with the name of
the designer.
Whitney: Okay right, right.
Woman: So…
Kimble: And Lauren you’re gonna be helping me
with, with the photo shoot during the presentation.
Lauren: Okay. (It cuts to Lauren walking with
Kimble and Whitney looking through the cards as a bellhop stands next to her)
Whitney: (Looking through the cards)
Chanel…Valentino…. (Cuts to girls getting ready)
Kimble: I’m sorry. (Kimble takes photos of the
girls) Tatiana, would you just give Lauren Your uh, your contact information
too? Just an e-mail you can give us or….
Tatiana: Yeah. (Cut to Whitney. The bell hop
helps her with the card as girls walk with their escort then to Lauren and
Kimble)
Lauren: These are all about to go. (Lauren and
Kimble stand together. Lauren and Whitney exchange smiles and wave to each
other. It cuts to Whitney as girls are presented and the bell hop holds the
card up. It shows millions of photographers taking photos as Lauren watches. It
shows the escort Lauren and Whitney met then people posing for photos.)
Whitney: (Fixing a girl’s dress) It’s supposed
to be a little bit up more. (Then the girl goes up the stairs with her escort.
Then a man comes up to Whitney and the bell hop and starts speaking in French
to the bell hop) What did he say?
Bell hop: That it’s okay because uh, he say uh,
we have to wait, uh…
Whitney: Until they leave? Okay. (The man comes
back and starts talking to the bell hop again. It then cuts to photographers
taking a group shot of all the debutantes. Cut to Lauren, Whitney and Kimble
who are all standing together)
Kimble: Lauren, would you just do me a favor of
going to find the main photographer?
Lauren: Do you want your phone and photos? (She
hands them to him)
Kimble: Yeah I’ll hold on to these.
Lauren: And are you gonna be down here?
Kimble: I will be…I’ll be upstairs at the
dinner.
Lauren: Okay.
Kimble: Okay?
Lauren: That’s fine. (Lauren leaves)
Kimble: So you feel like everything went well?
Whitney: Yeah I think so. It was just so
beautiful seeing all these dresses, it was unbelievable.
Kimble: Do you feel like the jobs that you’ve
been given, are they things that you would want to do like on a regular basis
or…?
Whitney: I mean I’ve enjoyed working at the
magazine so much. It’s opened so many doors for me. I always have kinda seen
myself more as like dealing directly with fashion…
Kimble: Yeah.
Whitney: More so than just being like, you know,
behind the scenes of a magazine.
Kimble: ‘Cause I didn’t feel like at the shoot…
Whitney: Yeah.
Kimble: When you were taking down all the notes…
Whitney: Mm-hmm.
Kimble: It just didn’t seem quite…
Whitney: Natural?
Kimble: Natural to me.
Whitney: Mm-hmm.
Kimble: So where would you…where would you see
yourself going or doing?
Whitney: I sorta see myself in styling.
Kimble: Then maybe you should pursue that. (It
cuts to all the debutantes and escorts dancing. Then a phone rings and we see
it was Lauren’s)
Lauren: Hello?
Matthias: Hi Lauren it’s Matthias.
Lauren: Hi Matthias, I can barely, barely hear
you.
Matthias: I was calling to see if you would like
to go for a ride on your last night in Paris.
Lauren: Ooh it sounds like fun.
Matthias: Oh yes lots of fun. I’ll show you the
city before you go.
Lauren: Let me figure it out and I’ll call you
back, okay?
Matthias: Okay darling. Bye, bye. (Lauren hangs
up)
Whitney: Is he going out?
Lauren: He wants to take me around for a little
bit.
Whitney: That sounds fun.
Lauren: Maybe.
Whitney; Honestly when in your life are you
gonna get the chance to do that again?
Lauren: A midnight tour of Paris? Probably
never.
Whitney: Never right? (Cut to outside the hotel.
Matthias is sitting outside on a Vespa waiting for Lauren. She comes outside
and she waves to him when she sees him and approaches him)
Lauren: Hello.
Matthias: (He hugs her) Hello darling?
Lauren: Look at my dress?
Matthias: Yes. (He is now back on the Vespa)
Lauren: Is there somewhere to put my bag?
Matthias: Yeah, yeah.
Lauren: I don’t know if that’s gonna fit over my
head. Okay go. (He helps her put on the helmet) Wait I just got my hair done!
(Cuts to her lifting up her dress to get on the Vespa) Oh my goodness. There’s
not a ladylike way to do this, is there?
Matthias: No.
Lauren: Ah! (She grabs on to him and gets on) Oh
my goodness…okay.
Matthias: Ready? (He starts it up)
Lauren: Yeah. (She squeals as they drive off)
Matthias: Hang on. (They drive around the city
until they reach Lauren’s hotel)
Lauren: Here? (She gets off the Vespa)
Matthias: Yeah.
Lauren: Cool. (He gets off too. He stops the
Vespa and takes off his helmet and she takes hers off and hands it to him.)
Here you go.
Matthias: I hope you enjoyed the ride.
Lauren: Thank you very, very, very much. (She
gives him a hug) Thank you for showing me around.
Matthias: I hope you had a good time.
Lauren: I did. Call me if you come to LA, okay?
Matthias: Bye, bye darling. (She goes up the
hotel stairs. She looks back at him as he blows her a kiss and waves. She goes
inside as he leaves)
CUT TO: The Next Day – Paris – Le Grand Hotel
They are packing to return home to LA.
Whitney: What did you end up doing with that guy
last night?
Lauren: Well…Oh my god he picked me up on a
Vespa.
Whitney: On a Vespa?
Lauren: I literally like…my gown was like in my
coat. I was like..
Whitney: Oh my gosh.
Lauren: ‘I already ruined one dress today…’
Whitney: Oh you pulled it up?
Lauren: Yeah.
Whitney: That must have been freezing. I think
Matthias really liked you. I bet he wishes you were staying longer.
Lauren: Me too.
Whitney: What about Brody? It’s so weird just to
come here and then come home with like a whole new perspective on things, you
know?
Lauren: Well Lisa did say that Paris changes you.
Whitney: Yeah and I really think I’m ready for a
change. After like witnessing all this Couture and being so involved in it, I
just feel like I want to do more styling. I’m so ready to do something else
then work, you know, behind a desk at Teen Vogue. It’s just kind of I think my
time, you know?
Lauren: I guess.
Whitney: So…something I have to think about.
What about you? Are you excited to go back home?
Lauren: I don’t know, I guess so.
Whitney: It’s sad to leave. This has been our
little home for a week.
CUT TO: Crested Butte Colorado – Heidi’s
Parents’ House
Heidi and Spencer walk outside as Spencer gets
ready to leave.
Spencer: I’m sorry I came. I just felt like it
was my only option.
Heidi: I appreciate the effort. You know, it
took a lot. I just need a little time, you know, figure things out and…I guess
I will uh, I’ll see you when I get back to LA. I’ll call you when I get back.
CUT TO: Le Grand Hotel – Paris
The girls head outside the hotel where Stefan is
waiting.
Whitney: Back to the sun.
Stefan: Hello girls.
Whitney: Hi how are you?
Lauren: Bonjour.
Stefan: Good how are you?
Lauren & Whitney: Good.
Lauren: I’ll get in the other side.
Stefan: All your bags are in?
Whitney: Good.
Stefan: Perfect. (He holds open Whitney’s door
for her)
Whitney: Thank you. (They get in the car and it
cuts to the car heading to the airport) Oh man that ball really wore me out.
Lauren: I still can’t get over the fact that we
went to a ball. Who are we?
Whitney: We’re so cool.
Stefan: So back to LA.
Whitney: Back to reality.
