Previously on The Hills…

Lisa: Hi girls.

Lauren & Whitney: Hi.

Lauren: (V.O.) After the Young Hollywood party, Lisa gave us tickets to one of the biggest events in LA.

Whitney: Oh my god. She’s like right there. Is this horrible for you?

Lauren: (V.O.) Heidi and I had another fight in front of everyone.

Lauren: Having your boyfriend do your dirty work doesn’t make you innocent.

Heidi: I had nothing to do with you and anything that you’ve done with your ex-boyfriend.

Lauren: If you want to apologize to me, I’ll talk to you.

Lauren: (V.O.) We got together to talk about everything that happened between us.

Heidi: If Spencer did anything, I’m sorry on his behalf.

Lauren: (V.O.) That didn’t go too well.

Lauren: I want to forgive you and I want to forget you.

Lauren: (V.O.) Heidi was still moving forward with her wedding plans. But Spencer was about to surprise Heidi with plans of his own.

CUT TO: The Griddle Café

Heidi is eating with Spencer.

Heidi: So I’ve been thinking and I think it’s time we really set a date for the wedding.

Spencer: I say we elope to Cabo.

Heidi: (She looks at him like he’s crazy) No…I can’t believe we’re still fighting about this. A wedding needs to be in a church. I didn’t even think guys really cared.

Spencer: I don’t that’s what I’m saying.

Heidi: Yeah so let me do what I want if you don’t care. I mean why don’t I just plan it and you don’t have to worry about it?

Spencer: Uh, I’m just not gonna think about it anymore. From now on, it’s on you. You decide.

Heidi: Great solution.

Spencer: Just tell me what day to be there. I’ll…I’ll wear a suit.

Heidi: Great.

CUT TO: Opening Credits

CUT TO: Gym

Audrina, Whitney and Lauren are training with Jarrett.

Jarrett: (To Audrina, who is lifting weights) Keep going. You’re doing great, progressing up.

Audrina: (As she punches what Lauren is holding) My knuckles are gonna bruise.

Whitney: (Cut to Jarrett lifting her up) Okay!

Lauren: Yeah.

Jarrett: Four, three, two, one, go. (To Whitney as they hit each other with boxing gloves) Keep your guard up.  Good relax.

Audrina: We should go to Big Wangs.

Lauren: (To Whitney) Have you ever been there?

Whitney: Where?

Lauren: Big Wangs.

Whitney: Never

Lauren: It’s like a sports bar. We go to it sometimes when we don’t feel like going out.

Whitney: Yeah. (To Jarrett) Wanna go to Big Wangs?

Jarrett: Big Wangs?

Whitney: Yeah.

Jarrett: Definitely. You got it. It’s a plan. Good workout. You guys did well.

Whitney: Okay that was good. Thank you so much.

Jarrett: All right cool. Later girls.

Girls: Bye.

Jarrett: Good workout bye. (They all leave)

CUT TO: Elixir Café

Lauren, Whitney and Audrina are sitting outside.

Lauren: (Teasing Whitney) Whitney and Jarrett…

Whitney: He’s so nice. (Lauren nods) Why are you giving me this look? (They all laugh)

Lauren: I’m just sitting here.

Whitney: Honestly, I have no expectations whatsoever of guys like…when I’m ready for someone like, yeah okay, then maybe I’ll have some expectations…

Audrina: But for now, you can just date and go out and have fun…

Whitney: Yeah exactly. So we’ll all get ready together.

Audrina: Yeah.

Lauren: Look at you. You’re excited.

Whitney: It should be fun.

Lauren: We gotta get Whitney back in the game.

Whitney: It’s started!

Audrina: Yeah! (They all get up and leave)

CUT TO: Westminster Presbyterian Church

Heidi and Spencer are going to look at it.

Heidi: Wow. This is beautiful. I know you’re gonna love this. (Cut to inside the church. Heidi and Spencer walk inside)

Spencer: Here comes the bride…

Heidi: Wow…lookity, lookity. (Whispers) It’s so pretty. (The minister comes out) Look at the ceilings, the stain glass, it’s so beautiful. (The pastor approaches them) Hello.

Martha: Hi how are you today?

Heidi: Good how are you? I’m Heidi.

Martha: (Shakes Heidi’s hand) Hi I’m Martha Campbell.

Heidi: Hi nice to meet you Martha.

Martha: Heidi. (Shakes Spencer’s hand)

Spencer: Spencer.

Martha: Spencer.

Spencer: Pleasure.

Martha: Hi I’m one of the pastors here. And I understand that you are interested in getting married here.

Heidi: We are, we are.

Martha: We offer a whole uh, wedding package.

Heidi: Okay.

Martha: And it uh, begins with pre-marital counseling. And we require that.

Heidi: Okay.

Martha: It’s a real important part and also we offer a wedding coordinator. They have books of flowers and help you with music selection…

Heidi: I need that.

Martha: And…they’re just wonderful.  You probably need to book six months out.

Heidi: Okay.

Spencer: I thought we were doing it this month. (Martha laughs)

Heidi: No…guess again.

Martha: I will leave you to it.

Spencer: Thank you so much.

Martha: Um…I’m gonna go to my office and I’ll come back in a few minutes.

Heidi: Great it was very meeting you.

Martha: All right you guys take care.

Heidi: Thank you. (Martha leaves)

Spencer: Oh let’s sit down. (Spencer sits down)

Heidi: This is perfect. What more could you want?

Spencer: I don’t know. It’s a great church. I can’t wait. (Heidi looks happy but Spencer looks less than thrilled)

CUT TO: That Night – Hillside Villas

Lauren and Whitney are in Lauren’s room getting ready while Audrina is getting ready in the bathroom.

Lauren: (Looking at the outfit Whitney is gonna wear) Cute lady. (Holds up the dress) You know we’re going to a sports bar, right?

Whitney: (Laughs) I know.

Lauren: Just checking.

Whitney: Whatev. (Whitney starts putting on her makeup)

Lauren: We got lingerie (puts shoes next to the dress) with moccasins and tights.

Whitney: That’s how I do it. (Walks away to go change) I guess I’d better get in my clothes now.

Lauren; (Looking through Whitney’s makeup bag) She really wears like no makeup.

Audrina: She doesn’t need it.

Lauren: Ah, to be a natural beauty.

Audrina: Are you searching through her stuff?

Lauren: No.

Audrina: Oh.

Lauren: I was just looking. I wasn’t like riffling. I wanna see her outfit. (Whitney comes back into the room in the dress) Do a little twirl in that Whitney. Be like this…

Whitney: Like I’m gonna twirl tonight.

Lauren: Be like… (Throws her hands up) whoo!

Audrina: Lauren does.

Whitney: (Twirls around, with her hands in the air) Whoo!

Lauren: Hello shorts! (Lauren laughs as Audrina joins them in the bedroom)

Whitney: I feel like I’m a back up dancer right now. (Audrina laughs as Whitney does a little dance)

Audrina: You look cute for Jarrett.

Whitney: I guess. (Audrina laughs)

Lauren: What do you mean you guess?

Whitney: I mean…

Audrina: No it’s cool to…

Lauren: Get excited lady.

Whitney: I’m totally excited.

Lauren: Big Wangs!

Audrina: Big Wangs. (They all laugh. It cuts to them leaving the apartment and heading out)

CUT TO: Big Wangs

The guy checks their I.D.’s and then they go inside. It cuts to them at their table with their drinks held up in cheers)

Audrina: Cheers girls.

Lauren: Cheers to Whitney joining us tonight.

Audrina: Whitney joining us. (They do cheers)

Whitney: This is my new favorite place. (Jarrett enters)

Lauren: Jarrett’s here.

Whitney: Oh my god Jarrett’s here.

Audrina: Oh look Jarrett.

Whitney: Jarrett’s so cute.

Audrina: Jarrett’s cute, is that what you said?

Whitney: He’s cute, yeah. He’s really cute. (Jarrett approaches their table)

Jarrett: What’s up Whitney?

Whitney: (Waves to him) Hi. (He waves back) How are you? (He walks over to her and gives her a hug)

Jarrett: How’s it going?

Whitney: Good how are you?

Jarrett: I’m doing well. Hey, what do you say we all play some pool?

Whitney: (Gets up with him and walks over to a pool table) Yeah, let’s go.

Audrina: They’re so cute together. (Cuts to Whitney and Jarrett playing pool)

Jarrett: Whichever one you want. Pick a color. (Whitney laughs) Whichever color you want. (She takes a shot but it doesn’t really hit anything)

Whitney: Aw… (Lauren and Audrina are watching them from their table. Audrina whispers to Lauren and she laughs. It cuts back to Whitney and Jarrett. Jarrett takes his shot) Jarrett you said you weren’t very good. (She laughs. Cut to the table as Lauren gives Audrina a thumbs up. Cuts back to Whitney and Jarrett as Whitney laughs.)

Jarrett: (He touches Whitney’s arm) So, what are you doing for the weekend?

Whitney: Nothing. Just hanging out. I’ll be here.

Jarrett: We’ll have to go up to Runyon Canyon.

Whitney: Okay.

Jarrett: Let me give you a one on one session first.

Whitney: Okay.

Jarrett: Something that will really kick your ass.

Whitney: When? I’ll do it as soon as possible.

Jarrett: You know what? I’ll be there at 10 am, ready to go.

Whitney: Okay. (They look at each other and smile just as Lauren and Audrina do cheers with their drinks at the table to celebrate setting up Whitney and Jarrett)

CUT TO: The Next Day – Runyon Canyon Park

Jarrett and Whitney are walking to the top.

Jarrett: We’re almost to the top. I’m happy you came.

Whitney: I’m a little behind but it feels good.

Jarrett: We couldn’t have picked a better day either.

Whitney: I know.

Jarrett: Blue skies…

Whitney: There’s not one cloud in the sky.

Jarrett: There’s the Hollywood sign.

Whitney: There it is.

Jarrett: We made it to the top.

Whitney: Oh finally! (Jarrett claps)

Jarrett: Jumping jacks. Ready?

Whitney: I can jump.

Jarrett: Okay.

Whitney: I think. (She starts doing jumping jacks)

Jarrett: Yeah come on. Three more, three, two and one. (She stops) Good. Look this way. Ready? Watch. We’re gonna air punch. All right?

Whitney: Okay.

Jarrett: Just watch. Hands up.

Whitney: Yeah.

Jarrett: (Shows her how to do it) Right, left just like that.

Whitney: Okay.

Jarrett: Move your hips. (She starts to air punch) Thirty seconds. Twenty nine…you throw a mean punch. I wouldn’t mess with you.

Whitney: (Laughs) Yeah right.

Jarrett: I would not mess with you. (She laughs) That’s it. Aggressive girl. (She laughs) Three, two and one. (She stops) Relax. I’m sure you have all the guys after you already, right?

Whitney: No. (She laughs)

Jarrett: Have a seat right here. All right?

Whitney: Okay.

Jarrett: Take a little breather. (She sighs as she sits down on a nearby rock) Awesome view, huh?

Whitney: It really is.

Jarrett: This really is the best job.

Whitney: It’s not like an office job, where you’re sitting at a desk.

Jarrett: No. I mean I work shorts and a t-shirt to work every day.

Whitney: Yeah.

Jarrett: So of a suit and tie, right?

Whitney: But you’re pretty fashionable in your shorts and t-shirt.

Jarrett: You think so? (She laughs) Hey so you wanna go grab some drinks tonight?

Whitney: Yeah.

Jarrett: We’ll make it a date.

Whitney: (Laughs) Okay.

Jarrett: Cool. How you feeling?

Whitney: I’m good.

Jarrett: Good workout.

Whitney: Good workout.

Jarrett: You made it come on. (He helps her up)

Whitney: Thank you. (They start walking)

Jarrett: Good job.

Whitney: Yeah. Thank you very much.

Jarrett: You got like dirt and stuff all over you. (He wipes her shirt off for her)

Whitney: Everywhere?

Jarrett: All over.

Whitney: You gonna wipe it off for me?

Jarrett: I got it. La Cantina, 8 o’clock?

Whitney: I’m down.

Jarrett: I’ll pick you up.

Whitney: Okay.

CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Heidi is looking at wedding magazines.

Heidi: Definitely wearing a crown. Think of the pastries we can get at the wedding…Oh! The catering…

Spencer: Where do you buy bride magazines, by the way?

Heidi: Is it a crime that I bought little bridal magazines? Are you…?

Spencer: Not even a little bit.

Heidi: Oh okay.

Spencer: I just don’t think you need ‘em.

Heidi: (Picks up one) Bride one… (Picks up another) bride two…

Spencer: Oh we’re getting serious now. What do you have to figure out in there?

Heidi: Whatever I want to figure out…what dress I’m wearing and stuff.

Spencer: I just never thought I would ever want to get married. It’s just so crazy like (Picks up one of the magazines) Woo! Looking to get married! (Heidi laughs) Woo hoo!

Heidi: And look, we can get china with our names on it. (He raises his eyebrows at her and she smiles at him)

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Whitney: Jarrett asked me if he could take me out so I was like ‘Whatever’.

Lauren: Oh he hearts you.

Whitney: I don’t know if he hearts me but… (Lauren sticks her tongue out) What? (She laughs)

Lauren: No it’s just cute.

Whitney: I don’t…I’m not even…I’m not even gonna think about him. I’m just gonna like…

Lauren: Please, the first date. First dates are exciting.

Whitney: Yeah first dates are exciting but first dates can also be really uncomfortable.

CUT TO: That Night – La Cantina

Whitney and Jarrett are heading inside.

Jarrett: Have you ever been here before?

Whitney: No never.

Jarrett: It’s gonna be fun.

Whitney: A beautiful night out, yeah.

Jarrett: Beautiful night out. Fabulous night out. (She laughs)

CUT TO: Inside La Cantina

Whitney: (He pulls out her chair and she sits down) Thank you. (He goes and sits down across from her)

Jarrett: So this is the place.

Whitney: This is so nice.

Jarrett: It’s chill.

Whitney: Yeah.

Jarrett: This is it.

Whitney: (To waitress as she gives Whitney her drink) Thank you.

Jarrett: (To waitress) Thank you. (Holds up his drink) Cheers. (They do cheers) Having fun. (Whitney laughs) You are dressed beautifully tonight, by the way.

Whitney: Oh thank you very much. I don’t really come out to Hollywood so much, you know?

Jarrett: Now do you come out to Hollywood again, ‘cause you wanna get in the whole scene?

Whitney: No it’s not even about the scene like…

Jarrett: Yeah.

Whitney: You know, I’ll go out to these places and just go dancing and not like involve myself but…

Jarrett: So I should have brought you to a place that we… where we could have danced then?

Whitney: I mean… (She laughs)

Jarrett: You’re…you’re ready to dance. That’s what it sounds.

Whitney: Maybe not in this way…

Jarrett: No not in this way.

Whitney: Maybe in a couple hours.

Jarrett: A couple hours. Cheers to that. Cheers…cheers to dancing in a couple hours. (They do cheers again) I’ll take you up. I’m gonna hold you accountable on that.

Whitney: Okay. (She laughs) But…yeah I don’t know…I just like to…

Jarrett: What’s your sign?

Whitney: I’m a Pisces.

Jarrett: Pisces…

Whitney: Why? Do you like know signs?

Jarrett: No. I feel like that’s like the biggest question that someone uh… (Whitney laughs) ‘What’s your sign?’

Whitney: I don’t really know. I don’t really know much about my sign but yeah…So what is your dream?

Jarrett: Professionally?

Whitney: What do you see yourself doing in LA? Yeah…in like a couple years.

Jarrett: I think the training thing seriously, no?

Whitney: Mm-hmm.

Jarrett: Like I just started working with record labels, training a bunch of girls.

Whitney: Really?

Jarrett: They’re getting ready to go on tour with a record album, whatnot.

Whitney: Oh cool.

Jarrett: Listen when you’re from New York, you gotta have more than one hustle, remember that.

Whitney: Yeah I know.

Jarrett: Well you’re from New York, right?

Whitney: Yeah.

Jarrett: You’re faster than the street…

Whitney: You’re so busy. I don’t know how you have time to date much.

Jarrett: I just came out of a relationship.

Whitney: Oh you did?

Jarrett: Yeah and now I’m having fun.

Whitney: Yeah that’s how I am. I got out of a relationship in May.

Jarrett: Now you need time to relax.

Whitney: Yeah. I don’t want to be attached to anyone. I just want to like enjoy myself.

Jarrett: You’re right. That’s one of the reasons I asked you to come out tonight. I mean we’re two…we’re two…

Whitney: Yeah.

Jarrett: Single people…

Whitney: Yeah.

Jarrett: Having fun.

Whitney: Exactly.

Jarrett: Right? Cheers.

Whitney: Okay cheers. (They both laugh)

Jarrett: Cheers to that.

Whitney: You like to do cheers. (They do cheers again)

Jarrett: Cheers again.

CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Bags are packed on the floor when Heidi walks in the door.

Spencer: Welcome home sweetheart.

Heidi: Hey.

Spencer: How was work?

Heidi: (Puts her purse on a chair) Long, tiring. (She puts her keys on the counter)

Spencer: Well you can sleep, uh, in the car.

Heidi: Where are we going?

Spencer: We’re going on a little adventure. I packed for you, don’t worry. (She sits down in a chair)

Heidi: What?

Spencer: We’re going to Las Vegas to get married. I got us the honeymoon suite.

Heidi: Spence… (She sighs) Did you already pay for this?

Spencer: Deposit.

Heidi: I really hope you’re kidding with this.

Spencer: Why would I be kidding?

Heidi: Because I told you I don’t want to elope like…We already went to the church, we already talked to the minister…

Spencer: Lots of people get married on their own, without family and friends there and it’s just distractions and it’s not about them, it’s about us getting married.

Heidi: But it’s about me too. And I want them there like my dad walking me down the aisle, like that means a lot to me. I don’t understand how you don’t realize that by now. I’ve been telling you how much this means to me. I just don’t get how you don’t care how I feel about this.

Spencer: It’s not about not caring.

Heidi: Like I want…

Spencer: That’s what I mean you’re making it all this other things and this and that…

Heidi: No I’m not. I just want our family and friends to be there, like is that so much to ask for? I’m sick of these surprises, I’m sick of coming home being like ‘What’s gonna be there? What’s going on?’ This isn’t like Spencer’s relationship and you decide what we do. We’re not supposed to be fighting about our wedding. This is supposed to be something fun and easy…

Spencer: We’re not fighting about our wedding. We’re fighting about wedding planning, which is such a hassle.

Heidi: I mean if I’m too much of a hassle for you then I’m sorry. (She stands up) Like… (She takes off her engagement ring) I don’t know. Maybe we should just think about it longer. (She puts the ring on the table and leaves the room. He looks at the ring and then picks it up and then gets up and takes one of the suitcases and his keys and leaves the apartment)

CUT TO: The Next Day – Bolthouse Offices

Kim walks into Heidi’s office.

Heidi: Hey.

Kim: Hey girlie. (She sits down)

Heidi: How you doing?

Kim: What’s up? I haven’t seen you all day.

Heidi: I know, I’ve kinda been hiding out.

Kim: Hiding?

Heidi: Yeah.

Kim: Why, what’s up?

Heidi: Not a lot. I just kind of…got in a huge, huge fight with Spencer last night. I come home and there are two bags packed there and he just kinda says ‘Oh we’re going to Vegas’ and I was like ‘What are you talking about? Do you not even listen when I speak, like do you not hear anything I say?’

Kim: Well he can’t make that decision without you though.

Heidi: I got so mad. And I was like ‘You know what? When you decide that you wanna take this seriously, let me know’ and he left. He left the house like I wouldn’t even…I wouldn’t have left, you know?

Kim: I mean I can’t see…I could see like leaving to blow off steam.

Heidi: Like if we can’t even figure out a fight, how are we supposed to figure out our lives together?

Kim: You guys just gotta put everything out on the table. (Heidi puts her hand on her head, looking upset) Sorry. (Heidi just sits there, looking really unhappy)

CUT TO: M Café

Lauren and Whitney are sitting outside, discussing Whitney’s date with Jarrett.

Whitney: (To waiter) Can I have some…do you have any sweetener?

Waiter: Sweetener?

Whitney: Yeah.

Waiter: Yeah.

Whitney: Thank you. (The waiter leaves) So I have to tell you about my date.

Lauren: I know.

Whitney: I’ve been dying to tell you. It was actually really comfortable. I mean as far as first dates go, you know, you usually…don’t know what you’re doing.

Lauren: Did he dress up?

Whitney: He wore a V-neck American shirt I think. Like a really tight shirt.

Lauren: Shoes…the shoes tell it all.

Whitney: I wasn’t into the shoes.

Lauren: Ooh…

Whitney: I got more of a friend vibe from him…

Lauren: Do you think he like got friend vibe from you like was it like an obvious friend vibe or do you think maybe he likes you?

Whitney: He invited me to go out after with him so I mean like I guess that’s a good sign. It felt good to get out there too.

Lauren: Wait, how’d you end it? Did you kiss him?

Whitney: No kissing.

Lauren: I think for the most part a guy can tell if you want to kiss him.

Whitney: Yeah. I don’t have a rule, you know, if I’m feeling it, I’m not opposed to it. But what happens if a guy goes in for it and that’s your rule?

Lauren: You go to the side.

Whitney: Oh…awkward. That’s so awkward.

Lauren: Not really. You can make it like not awkward.

Whitney:  Knowing me, I would make it awkward. (Lauren laughs)

CUT TO: That Night – Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Heidi is the apartment unpacking groceries alone. The door opens and it is Spencer, with flowers.

Spencer: Honey, I’m home.

Heidi: (Not looking at him) Where’d you sleep last night?

Spencer: At my parent’s house.

Heidi: Really?

Spencer: Yup. (Shows her the flowers) I found you these there.

Heidi: Thank you. (Takes them from him and puts them on the counter) They smell great.

Spencer: You don’t like ‘em?

Heidi: (He leans his head on her shoulder) I…love them.

Spencer: So um, can I call a truce?

Heidi: (She looks at him) You can apologize.

Spencer: (He puts his arms around her) I am so sorry that I did not respect your need to have the wedding of your dreams. And I wanna do whatever in the world makes you happy, forever and I love you. If that means big wedding, let’s have the biggest wedding ever. No more surprises.

Heidi: I just don’t want…just last night was just so…I don’t know, I don’t even know how to describe it. It was the first time we slept apart, it was like our first big fight…

Spencer: I didn’t realize it was such a big ordeal for you…

Heidi: I just can’t believe you didn’t sleep here. I can’t believe you left. Like I wouldn’t have left.

Spencer: I’m sorry.

Heidi: Apology accepted.

Spencer: And…I (Hands her the ring) would like you to not throw this down because I want you to marry me (She takes it in her hand) and I am so sorry, I just get all stressed out thinking about a big projection and ordeal when all I really wanna do is just marry you.

Heidi: Thank you for the flowers. (He hugs and kisses her) Thank you for the apology.

Spencer: I’ll take it.

Heidi: I missed you. (He holds as she rubs his back then it cuts to an air view of LA)
