Previously on The Hills…

Lauren: (V.O.) Audrina’s relationship with Justin wasn’t moving very fast. But at her job, she was promoted from the reception desk to her own desk. Heidi still wouldn’t admit that Spencer had anything to do with the rumors that were spread about me.

Heidi: Spencer…

Lauren: (V.O.) And since our last run in, I just wanted her to keep her distance.

Lauren: You know what you did!

Heidi: What did I do? What?

Lauren: (V.O.) Unfortunately, Heidi works for one of the biggest event planners in Hollywood.

Brent: For the event, Heidi, I want you to work with Kimberly, she’s new…

Lauren: (V.O.) So every party invitation was a possible confrontation.

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Lisa walks into the office Lauren and Whitney share.

Lisa: Hey girls.

Lauren: Hi.

Whitney: Hi.

Lisa: I want you to go to this event and cover it for Teen Vogue. It’s uh, Norman Leer’s event to celebrate the power of the vote. I’d like you to go. Enjoy yourselves.

Whitney: Awesome.

Lisa: (Hands them a paper) And this is it. All right. Thanks.

Whitney: Thank you. (Lisa leaves)

Lauren: Oh here. There’s a website.

Whitney: What is…? Declareyourself.com. (They go on the computer to look at the website for the event)

Lauren: Let’s see. Oh there’s a list of every…who’s going. (They scroll down the list of people attending) What?

Whitney: What? (Points at the screen) It says Brent Bolthouse is uh, a member on the advisory board. Isn’t that Heidi’s boss? Interesting… (They look at each other) Do you think Heidi will be there?

Lauren: I don’t know.

Whitney: Well we’ll see when we get there, right? And we’ll handle the situation accordingly.

CUT TO: Opening Credits

CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices

Heidi goes in the kitchen to get coffee and Kimberly is there pouring herself some.

Heidi: Hey.

Kim: Hey. 

Heidi: What are you doing?

Kim: I’m on like my third cup of coffee.

Heidi: Yeah?

Kim: Yeah. (They laugh. Heidi pours herself some as Kim pours sugar in hers) I’m like way over caffeinated.

Heidi: Um, have you heard about that event tonight with Declare Yourself? (Kim nods)

Kim: Yeah.

Heidi: Yeah Brent gave me a ticket. Are you going?

Kim: Yeah I’m gonna go.

Heidi: Yeah we should go together.

Kim: Yeah definitely.

Heidi: I heard it’s like one of the biggest events of the year. Brent was saying big red carpet.

Kim: Yeah it’ll be fun. It’s a good cause too you know.

Heidi: Yeah.

Kim: Give me a call and let me know like what time you’re heading over and all that stuff.

Heidi: Okay perfect (They leave for their separate offices with their coffees)

CUT TO: That Night – Declare Yourself Event

Lauren head inside.

Lauren: This is so rare that we don’t have to work.

Whitney: I know we can enjoy ourselves. Let’s mingle a little.

Lauren: This is probably the best assignment we got yet.

Whitney: (Laughs) I know. Lisa actually said ‘Enjoy yourselves’. (They go inside)

CUT TO: Inside Declare Yourself

Lauren: Did you ever see Devil Wears Prada?

Whitney: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Lauren: The really, really ridiculously hot guy is here.

Whitney: What?

Lauren: I know!

Whitney: Where? (They stand by a table)

Lauren: Way over there. There’s a lot of cute guys here.

Whitney: I know. I was gonna say the same thing to you…

CUT TO: Outside Declare Yourself

Heidi and Kim are heading inside.

Heidi: This is the first event we haven’t worked actually.

Kim: I know.

Heidi: This event looks amazing.

Kim: I know. (They walk inside)

CUT TO: Inside Declare Yourself

Lauren: I don’t know. Everyone went outside. You want to go out there?

Whitney: Yeah let’s go outside. (They walk outside just as Heidi and Kim walk in)

Kim: Do you wanna grab a table? (They go outside as well)

CUT TO: Outside Declare Yourself

Lauren and Whitney are standing by a table.

Lauren: Food!

Whitney: Wait where is Audrina tonight? Why wouldn’t…why didn’t she come to this?

Lauren: Uh, because Lisa only gave us two tickets and because she’s on a date.

Whitney: She’s on a date with Justin-Bobby? (Lauren nods)

CUT TO: Restaurant

Justin and Audrina ride to a restaurant on his motorcycle. They get off and go inside. They sit down.

Audrina: Why don’t you get that stuff that you put in your hair and it makes it into dreads? (She touches his hair)

Justin: ‘Cause that defeats the purpose sweetie.

Audrina: I got my…I’m not a receptionist anymore. I’m more involved. I get to help out with artists and I got my own cubicle in the back like a table and my own computer, bigger responsibility. Tomorrow we’re working with Sean Kingston. We’re going to Jimmy Kimmel and he’s performing.

Justin: You’re not nervous are you?

Audrina: I am a little nervous, I am. Just ‘cause I don’t know what to expect. It’s like my chance to really prove that… (Justin downs a shot, burps and laughs and she looks really pissed at him)

Justin: So did you ever get my phone call that I called you?

Audrina: Did you leave a message?

Justin: I called you that next morning.

Audrina: Wait when was that? That was like last week.

Justin: Dude…If I tell you I call you, I call you.

Audrina: I know I have to work all day tomorrow but afterwards, you wanna go out after?

Justin: Yeah, yeah. I’m there. (He burps again and laughs and then flips his head down on the table)

CUT TO: Outside Declare Yourself

Heidi and Kim are right near Whitney and Lauren.

Whitney: Oh god. Heidi’s right there.

Heidi: You know that girl I told you about?

Kim: Yeah.

Heidi: She’s standing over there with her friend.

Kim: It’s awkward though.

Whitney: Oh my god. She’s like right there. Is this horrible for you? I’m like…It’s horrible for you.

Lauren: (Shrugs) What can you do?

Heidi: I think I’m gonna go up and say something to her. (Heidi and Kim walk over to Whitney and Lauren) Hi. (Lauren looks like she can’t believe this is happening)

Whitney: (To Kim) I’m Whitney by the way. Hi. (Shakes Kim’s hand) Nice to meet you.

Kim: Hey I work at Bolthouse.

Heidi: I just haven’t talked to you so I wanted to see how you’re doing and what’s going on.

Lauren: If you want to apologize to me I’ll talk to you.

Heidi: Well you know that I didn’t do anything so…

Lauren: Having your boyfriend do your dirty work doesn’t make you innocent.

Heidi: My dirty work? I don’t have anything to do with it. Your sex tape or whatever has nothing to do with me.

Lauren: You think it’s okay for someone to say those things about people and go on and think it’s funny?

Heidi: I mean nothing’s funny. It has nothing to do with me.

Lauren: It has nothing to do with you?

Heidi: No. It has nothing to do with me.

Lauren: Nothing to do with you at all?

Heidi: No.

Lauren: You think it’s okay that he went and did that?

Heidi: That my boyfriend went and…?

Lauren: It’s okay?

Heidi: I have nothing to do with you and anything that you’ve done with your ex-boyfriend. That has nothing to do with me Lauren.

Lauren: Okay you can keep saying that and make yourself think that you’re a good person but you’re a bad person.

Heidi: I mean I didn’t do anything wrong. (Lauren just shakes her head at Heidi) Okay. So have a great night.

Kim: ‘Night guys. (Heidi and Kim walk away and leave the event. Lauren just shakes her head at Whitney and just looks really upset over what just happened)

CUT TO: The Next Day – Hillside Villas

Audrina is on the couch, looking at her phone when Lauren comes in the room and sits down with her.

Lauren: Hey.

Audrina: Hi. (Offers Lauren a plate) Want some vegetables?

Lauren: Oh yeah. (She takes some)

Audrina: How was your night last night?

Lauren: We weren’t sure if Heidi was gonna be there but she was.

Audrina: What?

Lauren: She like came up and tried to talk to me like everything was normal.

Audrina: Did she come up by herself?

Lauren: No some other girl was there with her. She’s like ‘Hi how are you like you know this is so silly’ and I was just like ‘Well you know like you did a bad thing it’s not silly. You said these things about me’ She’s like ‘I didn’t have anything to do with it’. Whether she said things about me or not, she knows that Spencer did and she knew he was doing it and she sat there and let it happen.

Audrina: She let it happen she didn’t stop it.

Lauren: Sometimes doing nothing is just as bad.

Audrina: What did she say? Just nothing?

Lauren: She just…she’s in such denial. How do you go to sleep at night like next to someone, knowing they can do terrible things like that to people?

Audrina: He used to be so like just fun.

Lauren: People change.

Audrina: Yeah.

Lauren: So you got work with Sean Kingston today?

Audrina: Yeah.

Lauren: Yeah I got to work too.

Audrina: We should go get ready.

Lauren: Okay. (They get up)

CUT TO: Jimmy Kimmel Live Rehearsal

Audrina is walking in with Chiara and Sean Kingston.

Audrina: (Looking at wall of artists) Your picture’s gonna be up here Sean.

Sean: Yeah! (They walk up the stairs to where Sean will be performing) Let’s go sound check. (Cut to where Sean will perform. Sean is up on stage during a sound check)

Audrina: (Talking to Chiara) Yeah…

Chiara: You’re like wait…

Audrina: I noticed. (Sean is up on stage singing what he will perform on the show. When he finishes, he gets off stage and Audrina and Chiara cheer)

Chiara: Excellent.

Audrina: Yeah I was supposed to go out with Justin tonight.

Chiara: It’s not gonna happen.

Audrina: I know. I’m not…I mean we’ll probably won’t be done till like 8:30.

Chiara: Yeah we won’t…

Audrina: And we’re supposed to go out at 7.

Chiara: No you won’t…there’s no won’t…honestly there’s no way in hell. You can see Justin any day.

Audrina: I know. I’ll just call him. I mean I could have him come by.

Chiara: No. Don’t do that?

Audrina: No? I’m at work.

Chiara: You’re at work.

Audrina: Yeah.

Chiara: Yeah.

Audrina: I’ll just call him tomorrow.

Chiara: Whatever.

Audrina: This is fun.

Chiara: Yeah. (They laugh)

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Whitney is sitting at her desk when Lauren comes in.

Whitney: Hi. How are you? (Lauren sits down at her desk)

Lauren: Good how are you?

Whitney: Our night was quite eventful last night. (She laughs)

Lauren: I don’t know what she wants to say to me. She doesn’t want to apologize, she won’t admit she’s wrong so until that happens, I don’t really have anything to say.

Whitney: Right. She doesn’t know that though. She’s just gonna keep trying…

Lauren: Seriously…

Whitney: What?

Lauren: Seriously.

Whitney: What?

Lauren: She’s on my freakin’ IM.

CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Heidi is on Spencer’s computer, sending an IM to Lauren.

CUT TO: Teen Vogue

Whitney: She IMed you? (Lauren is typing to Heidi) What did she say?

Lauren: (Reading Heidi’s IM to Whitney as she drags it on the screen) ‘I think we should meet up and talk’. (Whitney laughs) What does she need so badly to say to me? (Lauren starts typing ‘What do you want…’ as her response to Heidi)

Whitney: What are you saying?

Lauren: ‘What do you want to talk about?’

Whitney: That’s what you said?

CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Heidi is responding to Lauren.

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

It shows a close up of Lauren’s computer screen, showing what Heidi said.

Lauren: (Reading the response) ‘I would like to put this behind us…everything’.

Whitney: Is that what she just said? (Another IM pops up that reads ‘when can you meet?’)

CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Heidi is waiting for Lauren to respond.

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Lauren starts typing.

Whitney: What’s going on? What’s happening? Fill me in. (It closes up on Lauren’s computer screen where she responded with ‘you could come to my apartment if you want’ and Heidi responds with ‘can you meet tonight?’) Lauren.

Lauren: Sorry.

Whitney: Is everything okay? I just want to help.

Lauren: No, no, no. It’s fine. I’m just…she wants to meet up after work.

Whitney: What do you think? Just get it over with. (Lauren rubs her hands on her eyes, looking really stressed out)

CUT TO: Later that day – Jimmy Kimmel Live Backstage

Audrina and Chiara are backstage with Sean as he signs autographs.

Chiara: Real quick. We’re gonna bug you for some autographs from people who did the show for us.

Audrina: For me. (Sean signs a picture for Audrina) Thank you. (She reaches for it and he teasingly yanks it away before finally giving it to her)

Chiara: It’s just gonna get a whole lot more.

Audrina: I know.

Sean: No you say poppin’.

Chiara: Oh I’m sorry it means you’re poppin’.

Sean: Basically when you’re famous, in the industry, we say ‘you poppin’.

Chiara: Okay so you’re…you’re poppin’.

Sean: So it’s not…you’re poppin’.

Chiara: Okay.

Audrina: And not ‘you rock the house’.

Sean: I tore it up.

Audrina: Right? (They laugh) Don’t say ‘rock the house’.

Sean: Shut it down! (They all laugh)

Chiara: Oh shut it down.

Audrina: Rocks the house!

Sean: That’s what I’m talking about. (Cuts to when Sean is about to leave so they all stand up)

Chiara: (Hugs Sean) Bye Sean thank you so much. You were great.

Audrina: (Hugs Sean) Thank you Sean it was great working with you.

CUT TO: Outside Jimmy Kimmel

Audrina and Chiara are leaving.

Chiara: Oh my god.

Audrina: That was so much fun.

Chiara: That was so fun. He’s like a big teddy bear. I love him. He’s the nicest kid.

Audrina: I know. We got the autographs with the CD…

Chiara: With the CD…

Audrina: Okay.

Chiara: No more reception for Audrina. Audrina is sitting at a cubicle…

Audrina: Yeah!

Chiara: Next to me.

Audrina: Justin…no.

Chiara: No you’re not calling Justin…no, no.

Audrina: Do you want to take my phone away?

Chiara: No. 

CUT TO: That Night – Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Spencer is on his laptop when Heidi walks in.

Spencer: Good evening sweetheart.

Heidi: Hello. (Sits down on the couch)

Spencer: I’m just reading this interesting little I chat on my computer. Unless hell is freezing over currently, it’s pretty much the craziest, uh, I chat I’ve ever read.

Heidi: What?

Spencer: (Reading the IM) ‘Hey it’s Heidi I think we should meet up and talk....’

Heidi: Oh the one with me and Lauren?

Spencer: ‘What do you want to talk about?’ ‘Everything…’

Heidi: I…you don’t have to read the whole thing, I wrote it. Um…I know…I figured, you know, I saw her at Declare Yourself and I tried to talk to her and like apologize for things then and I guess, you know, she didn’t hear me then so I figured this has all gotten out of hand, it’s like it’s just to the point where I need to go over and talk to her and so I was like well we were friends for too long…just…why not right?

Spencer: Well…be careful. You’re heading into the lion’s den.

Heidi: But life’s too short to keep…having all this anger and hatred and…whatever.

CUT TO: Epic Records

Chiara walks in with flowers from Sean Kingston.

Audrina: Who are these from?

Chiara: These are from Sean Kingston.

Audrina: Sean? He sent those?

Chiara: Yeah. They are so pretty.

Audrina; He’s only seventeen and he sent us flowers already?

Chiara: Geez…he’s a ladies’ man.

Audrina: (Reading the card he sent) It was great working with you. Thanks for all your hard work, Sean Kingston. I seriously was nervous. I didn’t know how it was gonna be, if he was gonna be like a diva…

Chiara: Yeah. But you did good, very good.

Audrina: Thanks. I feel like everything’s different now. Like I have my own cubicle next to you, I got to work with a huge artist.

Chiara: Moving up.

Audrina: This is good.

CUT TO: That Night – Hillside Villas

Heidi pulls her car into the parking lot. She gets out with yellow roses for Lauren and heads up to her former apartment.

CUT TO: Lauren & Audrina’s Apartment

The doorbell rings. Lauren gets up and opens the door, letting Heidi in.

Heidi: Hi. (Hands her the roses) I brought you these.

Lauren: Thanks.

Heidi: Watch out, ‘cause they have a couple thorns right there and they might prick you. (Lauren shuts the door and she puts the roses on the counter) Well this looks very different.

Lauren: It is different.

Heidi: It’s very nice.

Lauren: Thanks. (They go and sit on the couch)

Heidi: Wow I must say I’m very impressed. You are very clean. Did a maid come?

Lauren: No. Audrina makes me clean.

Heidi: (Laughs) Congratulations. Um, I just wanted to talk to you and I’m so sorry about how things went the other night when I saw you. I’ve just been so frustrated and I know you have been too and so many he said/she said stupid rumors and this and that and I can swear to you on my life and to God and to everything that I really had nothing to do with that.

Lauren: But did Spencer?

Heidi: I mean I don’t know if Spencer had anything to do with that.

Lauren: You’re lying to me.

Heidi: I’m not lying. If Spencer did anything, I’m sorry on his behalf. I can’t control Spencer. I have nothing to do…

Lauren: You know he did it though Heidi. Don’t look at me and tell me that you don’t know ‘cause you know.

Heidi: You think I had an idea what was going on?

Lauren: I think that you know that Spencer did this. I don’t think you wanna believe it because you love him and I understand that because sometimes when you love people, you wanna believe that they’re good. 

Heidi: Lauren, he’s not bad. He’s not bad.

Lauren: He did this to me and you want me to say he’s a good person?

Heidi: Yeah but Lauren….

Lauren: I really…I really, really wish you could know how bad it was.

Heidi: I mean I wish I could take it back. You don’t think that I miss you as a friend? You don’t think that I wish none of this happened? I had no idea anything was happening. I really had no idea.

Lauren: Heidi sometimes whether you did something or you did nothing, it’s just as bad.

Heidi: I’m not Spencer and I can’t control Spencer.

Lauren: How can you hate someone so much that you literally want to make them wish they were dead?

Heidi: Spencer doesn’t hate you. I’m so sorry…I’m so sorry about all this…

Lauren: This is the person that went around and made calls and made an effort to make sure that everyone would hear these things about me. This is the person that you want to marry and spend the rest of your life with and you have to live with that.

Heidi: Lauren I love Spencer.

Lauren: Good.

Heidi: And I’m so sorry…

Lauren: No…you really must love him to stick by him through all this.

Heidi: I’m not saying Spencer’s an angel. Well I didn’t come here to fight with you, I really didn’t. I just came here to say I really am sorry for all that you’ve been through and I’m so sorry for things that have happened this way and I really…

Lauren: I appreciate that. It was really hard for you to apologize, I understand that and I really do appreciate it but the only thing really that there is to do is to forgive and forget. So I really do. I want to forgive you and I want to forget you.

Heidi: Yeah. Well this…it was great seeing you. The apartment looks great and I hope you have a great life so…have a great night Lauren. (Heidi gets up and leaves. It cuts to outside Hillside Villas. Heidi gets into her car and drives home. Cut to Lauren, who is looking really upset. She gets up and then it cuts to Heidi as she drives off. Then it cuts to an air view of LA)
