Lauren: (V.O.) Heidi’s job had been getting in the way of her time with Spencer.

Spencer: You said after NASCAR that everything was gonna quiet down.

Heidi: I know but I’m really busy and I gotta go.

Lauren: (V.O.) But her 21^st birthday was coming up and they were looking forward to celebrating, just the two of them. Not much had changed with Audrina and Justin. He still wouldn’t commit to the boyfriend label.

Justin: I think things should be happy and blissful and just mellow.

Audrina: Like it is now?

Justin: Yeah.

Lauren: (V.O.) This was the first year Teen Vogue was having a fashion show at their annual Young Hollywood party.

Whitney: We were thinking maybe the runway down the middle…

Lauren: (V.O.) So Whitney and I got sent to New York City to present our plans.

Whitney: There is a straight runway which will just be a carpet…

Amy: Mm…

Lauren: (V.O.) And I got to help Marc Jacobs prepare for the fashion show.

Michelle: You’ll have to do the finishing styling. Tuck them in, tie their bows, give them shoes and then send them to me and I really want them to be 100% styled.

Lauren: (V.O.) Now the party was here and we were about to find out if our hard work would pay off.

CUT TO: Church (Young Hollywood party location)

Lauren and Whitney go inside.

Whitney: It’s cool. (Lisa approaches them)

Lisa: Hi.

Whitney: Hi.

Lisa: It looks amazing.

Whitney: It’s gorgeous.

Lisa: It’s great.

Lauren: It should be fun.

Lisa: So you’re gonna work backstage

Lauren: Okay.

Lisa: And you’re gonna do front of the house.

Whitney: Mm-hmm.

Lisa: Front of the house is really horrible. We’re gonna have to try and figure out the front row. It’s gonna be a little bit chaotic because it’s not seated. We’re gonna give front row cards to the young kids. We want them to really have a great time tonight.

Lauren: How are we announcing at the beginning of the show?

Lisa: You’re gonna tell us.

Lauren: Okay.

Lisa: You’re running the show tonight. It’s really important, obviously for Teen Vogue it’s our one big party. And I am counting on you Whitney to make this a success. I want the show to start on time, promptly at 9:00. No screw ups.

Whitney: Right.

Lisa: All right.

Lauren: Okay.

CUT TO: Opening Credits

CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices

Kimberly comes in with a big bouquet of flowers and she brings it into Heidi’s office.

Kim: Hi.

Heidi: Hey. Oh are those for me?

Kim: I saw these at the reception. (She puts it down on Heidi’s desk) Yeah. There’s a note too. (Heidi gets up and smells the flowers)

Heidi: Oh my god. Oh they smell so good.

Kim: Aren’t they beautiful? (Kim smells them)

Heidi: Oh my god. (Takes the note out of the envelope and reads it) ‘You’re the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Happy 21^st birthday. To a hundred more birthdays together. Love, Spencer’.

Kim: Aw…

Heidi: Oh…

Kim: That’s really sweet. We have to do something. Do you wanna like do lunch?

Heidi: Yeah perfect let’s do lunch. We’ll catch up and have lunch.

Kim: Yeah so maybe like 1:00 or something?

Heidi: Perfect.

Kim: Okay.

Heidi: I’ll be here. Okay. Thanks Kimberly. (Kim leaves Heidi’s office)

CUT TO: Epic Records

Audrina is sitting outside with Chiara.

Audrina: Tonight I’m going to the Viper Room with Justin. We’re going to see this band called The Ruse.

Chiara: The Ruse?

Audrina: Have you ever heard of ‘em?

Chiara: No.

Audrina: It’s like alternative rock. We’ve heard so much about ‘em so we’re like that’s cool, I mean if they’re good, maybe I’ll bring their CD back and give it to Samantha.

Chiara: Are they not signed?

Audrina: I don’t think so. I wanna meet the band and like just check it out and see.

Chiara: Is this a date? Are you guys dating? Have you decided yet?

Audrina: I guess you could call it a date…

Chiara: You just can’t put a label on it.

Audrina: It’s a Viper Room date. (They laugh)

Chiara: It’s like its own genre of date.

CUT TO: Food Court

Heidi & Kim go inside and sit down to celebrate Heidi’s birthday.

Heidi: I cannot believe it’s my 21^st birthday!

Kim: I know. It’s so exciting.

Heidi: I have to order a glass of wine or something…

Kim: I know.

Heidi: ‘Cause it’s my first time.

Kim: Definitely.

Heidi: I’ve been so excited to turn 21 for so long.

Kim: I know.

Heidi: I’m like the last one.

Kim: 21 was like a huge like pivotal year cause like you’re just getting into like your twenties…

Heidi: Yeah.

Kim: And you’re starting to like figure out more of like who you are and…

Heidi: Twenty to twenty one, I think has been my biggest growing year so far like so much has happened, my life has changed so much…

Kim: Yeah.

Heidi: I feel like I should be turning twenty five right now you know…

Kim: So what are you doing for your birthday?

Heidi: I think um, tonight Spencer’s just taking me out for a surprise dinner.

Kim: So wait it’s your 21^st so you just want it to be with Spencer?

Heidi: You know it’s about like…

Kim: Yeah.

Heidi: Me and Spencer. It’s not like oh my, this is gonna be the biggest moment of my life. It’s like…I know…I hope it…you know it’s one of ‘em but it’s not like…

Kim: Yeah.

Heidi: Being with him…

Kim: Yeah.

Heidi: Is the best part you know, that’s the bottom line.

Kim: Yeah.

CUT TO: Vibiana Church

Lauren and Whitney are getting ready for the Young Hollywood party.

Lauren: We have to send 1500 gift bags by 7:00.

Whitney: We need some more help for sure.

Lauren: On the walkie, you have to let me know who’s coming in.

Whitney: I will. I would like to see the list.

Lauren: People bring their little entourage with them and they want to sit with them.

Whitney: I’m nervous that I’m gonna get my ass whopped. (Lauren counts the seats with her phone) I’m just dying to know exactly how many VIP’s they’re planning on seating over there.

Lauren: (Finishes counting) There’s like twelve seating areas.

Whitney: Doesn’t the first row chairs count as front row or no?

Lauren: No. We’ll lie and say it’s front row to people sitting there but…

Whitney: I’m nervous. I hope I can get everyone seated on time.

CUT TO: That Night – Vibiana Church

Whitney is inside with Jennifer, director of public relations.

Jennifer: You have not seated a fashion show before, is that right?

Whitney: I haven’t.

Jennifer: Okay. The thing that’s tricky about this event is that it’s not assigned seating like a normal fashion show.

Whitney: Right.

Jennifer: So it’s kind of gonna go off the cuff.

Whitney: Okay.

Jennifer: You have to seat about 390 people in fifteen minutes.

Whitney: Okay.

Jennifer: All right? You’re gonna do this. This is gonna be fun. It has to happen in fifteen minutes. The show’s gotta go off at 9:00.

Whitney: Right.

Jennifer: And you’re most likely gonna be the person that we come to and say ‘Whitney what’s going on backstage?’

Whitney: Okay.

Jennifer: So you got the back of the house and you got the front of the house.

Whitney: Right.

Jennifer: Okay?

Whitney: Okay.

Jennifer: Good.

Whitney: All right. Thank you. (She laughs)

CUT TO: Backstage

Lauren is with Whitney.

Lauren: Remember I’m on seven and you’re on one. So if you need me, go to seven and say, tell me to go to eleven.

Whitney: Okay. So confusing.

Lauren: Really?

Whitney: I can handle it.

Lauren: (Points to herself) Seven… (Points to Whitney) One.

Whitney: Yeah, yeah. Great. (Walks away)

Lauren: Okay. Wait where are you going?

Whitney: Um…I think people just got here so I’m going out there.

Lauren: Okay.

Whitney: Okay. (It cuts to people showing up to the party then to Lisa, Whitney and Jennifer inside)

Lisa: Are they letting people in yet?

Whitney: Definitely.

Lisa: All right. You gonna check anything else out?

Jennifer: No I think…I mean unless you want to, you are welcome to.

Whitney: Have you seen outside yet?

Lisa: No.

Jennifer: Go outside.

Lisa: Let’s see outside.

Whitney: Okay. (Cut to Lauren outside with the models who will be in the show)

Lauren: All right, we’re gonna start pulling girls to dress ‘em. One of you girls wanna come and find the designs? You ready? Let’s go. (She starts walking and the girls follow her. It cuts to Lisa walking outside. She walks up to a man standing outside)

Lisa: Are these actually all movie stars?

Man: Yeah. It’s a little backed up.  I mean if you’re okay with it, we’re okay with it.

Lisa: No let’s move ‘em a little faster.

Whitney: (Cuts to Lauren standing with Whitney) It is now 8:40 and we’re running a little late just because the red carpet’s taking a long time and like our main people aren’t here yet.

Lauren: Okay.

Whitney: Okay?

Lauren: (To someone) Okay so I just heard the red carpet’s taking forever so we’re gonna take our time…

Woman: Yeah we’re gonna wait.

Whitney: Okay so now they’re saying we’re gonna go for a 9:30 start.

Lauren: Are we?

Whitney: Yeah. So it’s pushed back a half hour.

Man: Thirty five minutes?

Lauren: We’re gonna wait?

Whitney: Yeah.

CUT TO: The Viper Room

Audrina and Justin are walking to the Viper Room.

Audrina: Isn’t this fun like working for a record label so you can go and see this and scout bands? (They go inside the club)

CUT TO: Inside The Viper Room

The Ruse is performing on stage as Audrina and Justin watch in the audience.

Audrina: I wanna take their CD so I can take it into Epic. (The band finishes and everyone claps)

CUT TO: Outside The Viper Room

Audrina and Justin approach the band.

Audrina: Hi, Audrina. (Shakes one of their hands)

Guy: Nice to meet you. How are you?

Audrina: You too.

Guy: This is Justin.

Guy: Justin, nice to meet you.

Audrina: What’s your name?

Mark: Mark.

Audrina: Mark nice to meet you. (She shakes his hand) Are you guys signed?

Guy: No actually we’re working on different stuff.

Audrina: Oh you are?

Guy: We’ll see what happens.

Audrina: ‘Cause I work for Epic. You guys have a CD? I’ll give it to our A & R guy, yeah. You guys are really good.

Guy: Okay cool.

Audrina: So…

Guy: You guys gonna go out tonight?

Audrina: We’re thinking about it. We’re not sure what we’re gonna do.

Guy: We’re doing like a little after party for a few people like literally right down the street at uh, One.

Audrina: One…I’m been there once. They have really good food.

Guy: Let’s go have a drink and then we’ll walk down. (They all start walking)

CUT TO: Restaurant

Heidi is there when Spencer walks in.

Heidi: (Ordering) Can I get a um, sparkling water and a flat water?

Spencer: (Walks up to Heidi) You should check her I.D. She’s twenty one.

Waitress: (Laughs) Yeah. (She leaves)

Heidi: I didn’t know you were here.

Spencer: (Hands her a Chanel box with her present in it) Surprise! Happy birthday.

Heidi: Ah! (He sits down next to her) You shouldn’t have done this. I’m so mad at you. I cannot believe you did this. I’m about to die! (She opens the box and it is a black Chanel bag)

Spencer: They said it’s the brand new one out. Only out for like a week.

Heidi: Oh…my…gosh. Oh! (She hugs him and kisses his neck) Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Spencer: (Shows her the strap) This is what I like, the bling.

Heidi: Oh…I love you, I love you, I love you. (She kisses him)

Spencer: Happy birthday.

Heidi: Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is my favorite present I’ve ever gotten in my life. Thank you.

Spencer: You’re welcome. (He moves her preset over next to him)

Heidi: It’s too far!

Spencer: Celebrate! Woo!

Heidi: I am. (He puts his arm around her and pulls her close to him)

Spencer: What’s that face?

Heidi: No face.

Spencer: You like a little more wine? You seem a little serious.

Heidi: No. Would you like some more? (He shakes his head)

Spencer: I’m having a great time.

Heidi: What?

Spencer: I’m having a great time.

Heidi: Me too. Don’t say I’m not.

CUT TO: Vibiana Church

Whitney is standing with Lisa Love.

Woman: Let’s opens the doors, let’s go.

Guy: Does everyone know where they’re supposed to be?

Whitney: (To Lisa) Are you good?

Lisa: I’m good yeah.

Whitney: Okay.

Lisa: Fantastic, with the mobs.

Whitney: Now they’re all finally in.

Lisa: Where are all our seaters?

Whitney: Oh my gosh.

Lisa: Where are the seaters? (Cut to Lauren backstage)

Lauren: Lauren, for Whitney. (Cut to Whitney)

Lisa: Where are the other seaters? We need the people that are seating the show other than us.

Whitney: Right.

Lisa: (To People) Come on. Sit right behind these people.

Whitney: Okay. (To People) I’m just gonna have you come over here. (Almost gets in the way of a camera) Sorry. (Cut to Lauren backstage)

Lauren: Whitney!

Whitney: (Cuts to Whitney) (To a person) Do you have a front row seat?

Guy: Yeah.

Whitney: Come on over here. (She starts walking and the guy follows her) Okay. This is your table, okay? (The people sit down as Whitney walks away) Okay. (To other people) You are, you guys are right over here.

Woman: Whitney. There’s not supposed to be anyone sitting there. There’s two people sitting there. You gotta keep that air clear.

Whitney: (To people) You can…you guys can sit in either of these back ones. Yeah. (Cut to Lauren backstage)

Lauren: Whitney, can you go to eleven?

Whitney: (To Bryan, the event producer) Yeah.

Bryan: The one in the hat always crashes every party and that boy…

Whitney: Right there?

Bryan: And he’s not allowed in ever usually…

Whitney: Right here, sitting right in front of us?

Bryan: Yeah.

Whitney: Really?

Bryan: Find out who from Carlos who… (Cut to Lauren backstage, who fiddles with her walkie then back to Whitney)

Whitney: (To Lisa Love) You wanna take your seat?

Lisa: Yeah. I think we need to start.

Whitney: Yeah, yeah. Okay. I think…

Woman: Do we have seats?

Whitney: For who? Oh hi. Yes…um…just like…that way. (Lauren comes over to her since Whitney wasn’t responding to her pages)

Lauren: I don’t think you can hear me on this.

Whitney: No it’s out right now. It’s just crazy.

Lauren: How close are we to being all…?

Whitney: Um…like honestly a couple minutes.

Lisa: (To someone) Sit down so we can roll up the carpet. (They start rolling up the carpet)

Jennifer: (To Whitney) All right let’s get off the aisle?

Whitney: We’re good?

Jennifer: We’re good.

Whitney: Okay.

Jennifer: (As she and Whitney get out of the aisle) Nice Job Whit. (Pats her on the back) Way to crack the whip.

Whitney: Oh my gosh I just started putting people…

Jennifer: That’s what you gotta do, roll with it. (Cut to backstage) Yes. Let’s go ladies!

Whitney: Lauren. (To Jennifer) Lauren’s right there. Should I tell her we’re good?

Jennifer: Yup. (Whitney gives Lauren a thumbs up) Go we’re ready to go.

Lauren: You’re good?

Jennifer: Yeah we’re good. (Lauren runs backstage)

Juliana: Wait, wait. We’re bringing Hilary Duff in so we’re not ready.

Whitney: Oh.

Juliana: Tell Lauren to wait.

Whitney: Okay. (Cut to backstage)

Lauren: Erik, they’re all good.

Erik: Susie? Susie?

Lauren: (Taps Erik on the shoulder) They’re good.

Erik: Yeah?

Lauren: They said we’re ready to start.

Erik: All right you guys. (Cuts to Whitney)

Whitney: (On the walkie) Hi are you there?

Lauren: (Cut to backstage as Lauren goes over the list of models) Corina…Will…

Whitney: (Cut to Whitney) Lauren… (Cut to backstage)

Erik: We’re going.

Whitney: (Through Lauren’s earpiece but Lauren doesn’t hear her) Lauren!

Lauren: Should I get going?

Erik: Yeah.

Lauren: All right here we go.

CUT TO: Vibiana Church

Whitney: (To Amy Astley) We’re just waiting on Hilary Duff. (Cut to backstage)

Lauren: Eric wait. They’re seating Hilary Duff right now.

Eric: Okay guys in your positions. (Cut to Whitney, who is standing with Lisa)

Lisa: We’re just waiting for one person?

Whitney: She’s coming in right now I see her. (Shows Hilary Duff as she comes in and talks to someone) (On earpiece) Okay she’s here. (Cut to backstage)

Lauren: They’re good to go.

Erik: All right you guys. Let’s make this show hot. (Cuts to the fashion show. Everyone watches as the fashion show begins)

Lauren: (Cut to backstage) I’m gonna do one more… (She leaves and it cuts back to the fashion show and it cuts to Lauren backstage as the models come back)

Erik: Right behind each other you guys. (Then it cuts to the fashion show again then back to backstage again)

Lauren: Tell ‘em we’re good to go to the finale. (Cuts back to the fashion show. It shows Whitney watching. Everyone claps as the show ends. It curs to Lauren backstage as she squeals) Good job guys.

Erik: (Claps) Thank you so much. (Everyone claps along with him, including the models as they come backstage and it cuts to the front where everyone is clapping then back to backstage)

Lauren: Good job everyone.

CUT TO: One Sunset – The Ruse’s After party

Audrina, Justin and The Ruse are there.

Audrina: (Looking at a menu) I’m gonna get one of those, I think.

Waitress: Which one?

Audrina: The naughty school girl.

Guy: We’re gonna get the red wine…

Audrina: Naughty school girl.

Guy: Naughty school girl?

Audrina: Yes. (They all laugh)

Guy: I love that. That’s good. (Audrina laughs) I don’t know why…in the naughty school girl, there’s actually a sucker…a lollipop…

Audrina: There’s a lollipop in there. (She reaches in the drink and reveals a lollipop, which makes everyone laugh)

Justin: Keep it.

Guy: (To Justin) She has her own. Thank you guys.

Audrina: Cheers. (They hold up their glasses and do cheers)

Guy: Cheers to naughty school girl. (They do cheers again)

Audrina: With the lollipop. (They all laugh) It’s really good. My new favorite drink.

Justin: I’ll be back. (Justin gets up so Mark begins to chat up Audrina)

Mark: Where are you from?

Audrina: I’m actually from Orange County.

Mark: Oh okay.

Audrina: So…southern California, born and raised.

Mark: Sweet.

Audrina: Yeah.

Mark: I don’t know how late you guys feel like staying out tonight but…there’s always an after-after party.

Audrina: Always. (Justin comes back)

Justin: Hey!

Guy: What happened over there?

Justin: I don’t know man.

Guy: Ton of hair you got going on.

Justin: Yeah dude.

Mark: All right I’m gonna grab another one.

Justin: (Finishes a drink) Oh that was so good.

Mark: (Talking to one of the band guys over at the bar about Audrina) She’s great. I just…I don’t know what’s going on with that guy over there.

Guy: (Looks over at the table) Justin? Did you ask her?

Mark: Not in a so direct fashion but…

Guy: What do you think?

Mark: I don’t know. I think…I think she’s feeling it a little bit.

Guy: Okay good. That’s all that matters. (Cuts back to the table)

Guy: Tomorrow, we’ll hang out.

Guy: Yeah, yeah. All right cool

Audrina: It was nice meeting you.

Guy: It was nice meeting you as well. (Shakes her hand. Cuts to Mark talking to Justin)

Mark: What’s the situation with Audrina over there? You guys pretty hot and heavy?

Justin: We’re cool.

Mark: Yeah.

Justin: Yeah. We hang out a lot.

Mark: She’s great.

Justin: Yeah. She’s a good girl.

Mark: She’s awesome.

Justin: She’s a really good girl. Yeah. She’s a good person.

Mark: Is she like, available to be asked out? I just wanted to ask you before, you know…

Justin: She’s pretty good.

Mark: So, are you guys like, full on?

Justin: She’s pretty good. (Audrina goes back over to Justin)

Audrina: Hey.

Justin: You getting ready?

Audrina: Yeah. (To Mark as she and Justin get up) Nice meeting you. See you soon. Thank you.

Justin: Pleasure, pleasure.

Audrina: Bye. (They all wave at them as they leave) Come on Justin. (She laughs as they go outside)

CUT TO: Vibiana Church – After the fashion show

Amy, Lisa and Bryan are talking about the fashion show.

Amy: (To Bryan) Did Lisa like it? Did you have fun?  What are you hearing out here?

Bryan: I did have fun but I thought it was an amazing, amazing…I was walking…

Amy: It looked amazing…

Bryan: I thought it was amazing. (Lauren and Whitney approach them)

Lauren: Did it look good? It was by standards?

Lisa: Yeah it looked great.

Amy: It looked great.

Whitney: You enjoyed it?

Amy: Yes! I thought it was great. Are you hearing good things from all the guests?

Whitney: Yes.

Lisa: The show was amazing.

Lauren: Really?

Lisa: Yeah. Every year should be a different designer.

Whitney: I agree. Different designer…different location and…

Amy: Yeah. Good work.

Lauren: We did it.

Amy: Yay! (High fives Whitney) Done!

CUT TO: Justin and Audrina

They are walking home from One Sunset.

Audrina: Those guys are nice.

Justin: Yeah.

Audrina: That one was a little too touchy, the tall one.

Justin: (Teasing her) He liked you.

Audrina: He kinda grabbed me

Justin: (Teasing her) He wanted you.

Audrina: Yeah but I’m going home with you.

Justin: That’s why we work so well together.

CUT TO: Restaurant

A cake is lite for Heidi’s birthday. 

Spencer: This is a very important wish. Do not rush it.

Heidi: I’m so glad that this year like last year was so crazy and it was such like a big party, all this drama and Audrina trying to come over and like…this year, I’m with the love of my life, it’s so like…much easier and low key and…this is what I want, you know? (He nods and she smiles at him)

CUT TO: Lauren & Whitney

They are leaving the Young Hollywood party.

Whitney: Long day. You feel good about it?

Lauren: It was perfect. It couldn’t have gone any better.

Whitney: Yeah. We’ve come a really long way since the first Young Hollywood party.

Lauren: Nice job, boss lady.

CUT TO: Restaurant

Heidi is eating a slice of cake as Spencer is texting someone. As she puts a napkin on her lap and drinks from her glass, she doesn’t look too happy. Then it cuts to an air view of the city of LA.
