Lauren: (V.O.) We all went to Vegas for Brody’s birthday.

Brody: Where’s my birthday kiss?

Lauren: (V.O.) And he and I finally got together. But Audrina and I got into a fight about Justin.

Audrina: I know you guys don’t like Justin. I get it. You know what? I’m done.

Lauren: (V.O.) And I hadn’t spoken to her since. When Elodie left Heidi hanging at work, Heidi had to cut her anniversary short with Spencer.

Heidi: She quit yesterday? Okay I’ll see you soon.

Spencer: ‘See you soon’?

Lauren: (V.O.) I hadn’t heard from Jen Bunney since the last time she and Heidi conspired against me.

Lauren: You did something really shady and you did it behind my back. It wasn’t all Brody, it was you!

Lauren: (V.O.) But Jen and Heidi had still been hanging out. And I was about to find out Jen had something she was dying to tell me.

Heidi: You know who spread all those rumors is Brody Jenner.

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Whitney: How was Vegas?

Lauren: Brody kissed me.

Whitney: What? You guys would be quite the couple.

Lauren: I fought a little bit with Audrina in Vegas.

Whitney: You did? (Lauren nods) What were you fighting about? Justin-bobby?

Lauren: It’s just Justin was rude.

Whitney: That’s not okay.

Lauren: I know…honestly this was me and Audrina’s first fight too.

Whitney: Yeah.

Lauren: In like the two years we’ve known each other.

Whitney: And it’s inevitable.

Lauren: It is because we live together now and that happens.

Whitney: You live together, you’re best friends, you do so much together, it’s bound to happen, you know?

Lauren: (Looking at her phone) Random…

Whitney: What’s random?

Lauren: Jen Bunney just texted me.

Whitney: Jen Bunney?

Lauren: Weird.

Whitney: What does she want from you?

Lauren: She says she needs to talk to me.

Whitney: She just said ‘I need to talk to you’?

Lauren: ‘I really need to talk to you’.

Whitney: Wow. She probably wants to smooth things over. Are you ready to talk to her? You guys have a lot of catching up to do.

CUT TO: Opening Credits

CUT TO: Hillside Villas

Audrina is doing her toes when Lauren walks in.

Lauren: Hey. Painting your toes? (Sits on the couch next to her)

Audrina: Yes. What’s wrong?

Lauren: Jen Bunney just texted me. She wants to get lunch. It kinda get me thinking about stuff. I just feel like I…I’m…I’ve kinda been just like overstepping and being too judgmental, like the way I’ve been treating you with Justin. It’s hard because I’m a very stubborn person and I don’t like to admit when I’m wrong.

Audrina: Mm-hmm.

Lauren: But I just feel really, really bad and like I’m just at this point, even though it’s so far long, like I’m still really broken from last year. And it’s like I’m still dealing with all that and I think that I’m just so scared of anyone to go through the same thing.

Audrina: Mm-hmm.

Lauren: Look what I did last year, where it’s like I’m trying to think that I’m being a good friend and like I made my roommate move out. Like she couldn’t even live with me. And it’s like I’m trying not to do that again and I don’t want it to happen again. So I’m just…you have to help me though…

Audrina: I will.

Lauren: Because if I’m like being annoying, you just need to tell me to shut up. Just be like ‘Lauren shut up’.

Audrina: You’re like one of my best friends now.

Lauren: I know.

Audrina: So I’m not gonna…

Lauren: I just don’t wanna push anyone else away. And I need to just basically shut up and be happy for you when you’re happy. So I’m really sorry.

Audrina: Apology accepted.

CUT TO: Diane Merrick

Lauren & Lo are walking to the shop.

Lauren: I just talked to Audrina and apologized already.

Lo: You did?

Lauren: Yeah.

Lo: Like for Vegas?

Lauren: Just for the whole stupid Justin thing.

Lo: Justin’s a loser, whatever.

Lauren: (They walk in the shop) I think I’m just over fighting with people right now.

Lo: This store is adorable! (Picks up a shawl) Really cute.

Lauren: Oh my god.

Lo: Isn’t this pretty? Oh it’s connected.

Lauren: You should get that.

Lo: How do I wear this exactly?

Lauren: Like this. (She takes it from Lo and puts it around her neck twice)

Lo: Oh…I like…I want. What are you doing today?

Lauren: Um, I think I’m gonna go to lunch in a little. To meet Jen just ‘cause she’s been texting me and I’m gonna go talk to her. And then I don’t know.

Lo: Bunns? (Lauren nods) Really?

Lauren: Mm-hmm.

Lo: I just don’t understand what she wants.

Lauren: I don’t know. To fix things, I really don’t know.

Lo: Just, she hurt you pretty bad once and I don’t want to see that happen to you again. 

Lauren: It won’t because…trust like I had in her before is something you have to earn, you know what I mean?

Lo: I know it’s not that. It’s just like I know that you had a really hard year and in my eyes, it’s not totally worth it for you to like throw yourself back into it what made you so upset in the first place.

Lauren: I’m not throwing myself back in. I’m just going to lunch with her.

Lo: I know, I know, I know. I just…

Lauren: Thanks Mama Lo.

Lo: Don’t wanna see you upset, okay? (Hugs Lauren)

Lauren: I’m not upset.

Lo: I know but I love you and I don’t want that mean girl to be mean to you again.

CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices

Heidi goes into Brent’s office.

Heidi: Hi you wanted to see me?

Brent: Yeah. (She shuts the door) Have a seat. (She sits down) So tell me what happened this weekend.

Heidi: Um, I had Elodie covering for me on Friday and she was like ‘Oh yeah it’s fine, don’t worry, I’ll totally be there’. Elodie never showed up and so I raced over there and I got there right away.

Brent: Okay so bottom line is Elodie doesn’t work here anymore and you do so…

Heidi: Okay.

Brent: If you’re gonna have somebody cover for you, what I need you to do is you have to communicate with me or Jen or somebody on the team so we know. You have a responsibility. You fought for this position. You have to live up to everything you promised me and everything that you said you would do for this job, okay?

Heidi: Okay.

Brent: You have to be 100% on your game. You can’t let your home life interfere, you can’t let your personal life interfere. This isn’t a 9 to 5 job. This is a career.

Heidi: Okay.

Brent: You have to learn from your mistakes.

Heidi: Yeah I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen again.

Brent: To grow, you know…It can happen once but it can’t happen twice.

Heidi: Right. I’ll make sure.

Brent: Perfect that’s what I wanna hear.

Heidi: Okay.

Brent: All right.

Heidi: Great.

Brent: Thank you.

Heidi: Thanks Brent. (She gets up and leaves his office and he gets on the phone)

CUT TO: Lulu’s Café

Jen is sitting at a table waiting for Lauren. She puts something in her drink. Lauren approaches her.

Lauren: Hi.

Jen: Hi.

Lauren: How are you? (Sits down)

Jen: Good how are you?

Lauren: Good. (To waitress) Thank you.

Jen: What’s new?

Lauren: Just been working and going to school.

Jen: Working?

Lauren: I started school again.

Jen: Where, FIDM?

Lauren: Mm-hmm.

Jen: That’s pretty, where’d you get it?

Lauren: What?

Jen: Your diamond.

Lauren: Oh it’s a friendship bracelet. My friend gave it to me.

Jen: So did you hold up with that whole rumor situation?

Lauren: Not very well.

Jen: I really wanted to like call you and make sure you were okay.

Lauren: It wouldn’t have been the right time,

Jen: But…I knew that…I knew it wasn’t the right time.

Lauren: (To waitress who has brought food) Thank you. So what’s up? What’d you wanna tell me?

Jen: Uh…so I had lunch with Heidi recently. Uh, you know the whole sex tape thing? She thinks that Brody is responsible for the rumors. I don’t know. I really don’t know. Don’t wanna get involved.

Lauren: Why would Brody start rumors about me? I’ve been friends with him all along.

Jen: I don’t know.

Lauren: I know you don’t. I don’t believe it though. I think it only makes sense for her to blame it on a random person.

CUT TO: Hillside Villas

Audrina is folding clothes when Lauren comes back from her lunch with Jen.

Audrina: Hi.

Lauren: Hi. Laundry day? How are you?

Audrina: Good how are you? (Lauren sits down with Audrina)

Lauren: Good I just had lunch with Jen.

Audrina: How did it go? It’s good?

Lauren: Yeah. I mean it’s fine now like I’m obviously not mad at her anymore.

Audrina: What did she say? She just?

Lauren: I guess, um, she just recently had lunch with Heidi and Heidi was like ‘Brody was the one who said everything about Lauren like I didn’t have anything to do with it’.

Audrina: Heidi acted like she had nothing to do with it?

Lauren: But worst of all is she’s like blaming Brody who’s been my friend all along. I’m like Brody’s my friend.

Audrina: Brody has never been the one to start trouble, ever, right? No.

Lauren: It makes me mad that Heidi’s going around saying that about Brody.

Audrina: Why would she say that Brody’s been doing that? That’s like…

Lauren: Cause she’s blaming every person. I’m gonna see him at dinner though so I’m gonna ask him about it.

Audrina: That’s good.

Lauren: We’ll see.

Audrina: Yeah. That’s good. Whatever happens, happens.

Lauren: Truth and time tells all.

Audrina: (They both laugh) That’s what Justin says.

CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Heidi is in the bathroom, doing her makeup.

Spencer: I still can’t believe Brent said anything to you. That’s totally not your fault if you get somebody to cover…

Heidi: I didn’t know that Elodie quit that day.

Spencer: She was just trying to snipe you out.

Heidi: I can’t believe she was so mad about the job like…

Spencer: I mean the bottom line is if Elodie was supposed to have the job, Brent would given it to her.

Heidi: It’s not my fault.

Spencer: Wah, wah, wah.

Heidi: I’m sorry. Yeah.

Spencer: Lesson learned. Can’t depend on anybody.

CUT TO: That Night – Venice Bistro

Justin and Audrina are inside playing pool.

Audrina: This is way better than Vegas.

Justin: See I can do these things. It’s just when it gets…staticy.

Audrina: You don’t like a lot of people around.

Justin: I can’t deal with it….cracking pool… (He goes to one side of the pool table but has to move to other side because he went to the wrong side)

 Audrina: On that side. You’re stripes. (He playfully pushes her and she pretends to hit him as he takes his turn)

Justin: Is that it? Oh!

Audrina: (Sits on a stool by the pool table) Me and Lauren had a talk the other day.

Justin: You did?

Audrina: Yeah.

Justin: Oh really?

Audrina: She felt bad because she felt like she was interfering and being too controlling (Gets off the stool)

Justin: She was.

Audrina: Yeah. I just told her like I’m gonna do what I want, it’s my life and I appreciate her concern but like stay out of it, you know, like give me my space. But she apologized, she said sorry and like she’s happy for me and she’s gonna try to not butt in anymore. (Audrina takes her turn)

Justin: I think things should be happy and blissful and just mellow.

Audrina: Like it is now?

Justin: Yeah.  I…that stuff…you know how I feel about that. It’s just like…

Audrina: I know.

Justin: Why? How has the patience and…life’s too short. (Takes off his hat)

Audrina: You know, I think maybe something between her and Brody will spark up again. (She shoots a ball in) I won!

Justin: You’re amazing. I love it. (They hug) Good game. (He kisses her head)

Audrina: Two to one.

CUT TO: Restaurant

Lauren goes inside where Brody is waiting for her.

Brody: Oh! Hello.

Lauren: Hello. (They hug) Good to see you.

Brody: Good to see you too. You look stunning, as always. (They both sit down)

Lauren: I had so much fun in Vegas. I wanna go back.

Brody: That was fun, wasn’t it? That night that you crawled into my bed, my rotating bed. And then said that…

Lauren: You asked me to stay and cuddle?

Brody: Oh! You know! (They both laugh)

Lauren: Cheers.

Brody: Cheers to…

Lauren: True friends.

Brody: I agree. True friends. (They do cheers and drink. Lauren laughs) So what else? Talk to me

Lauren: Um, I did want to talk to you about something.

Brody: A saki shot for this one or what?

Lauren: Um…so I went out to lunch with Jen Bunney. I guess she still speaks to Heidi. And that um, she basically said that Heidi blamed ever reason I was upset with her, on you. She said that you spread every one of those rumors.

Brody: She’s lost her mind. They both have. If that’s what she’s going around saying, she’s completely lost her mind cause it’s not true.

Lauren: But you won’t look at me and tell me that you know they did it.

Brody: I try to stay away from that.

Lauren: I just need you to be honest with me and if I knew something like that about you, I would tell you because you’re my friend.

Brody: Yeah well I was stuck in a bad position.

Lauren: I understand that but it comes down to wrong and right.

Brody: Obviously in this situation, he’s wrong. And that’s just plain and simple. It’s easy to see but…

Lauren: Then why won’t you look at me and tell me they did it?

Brody: Lauren…

Lauren: What?

Brody: I know 100% fact that they did it.

Lauren: Thank you.

CUT TO: The Next Day – Teen Vogue Offices

They’re putting clothes in cubbies.

Lauren: What up yo? You go out last night?

Whitney: No. I went to sleep at like ten o’clock. What’d you do?

Lauren: Well I went to dinner.

Whitney: Who’d you go with?

Lauren: I just went with Brody.

Whitney: Oh how was that?

Lauren: I don’t know. It was the first time he finally admitted to me that he knows that Spencer said all those things about me.

Whitney: No way.

Lauren: Yeah ‘cause he would never admit it to me before.

Whitney: I mean first he was probably trying to have his back but now that they’re not friends anymore…

Lauren: Here’s the thing about Brody is that he…even like when he’s not your friend anymore, you know, they…he breaks up with someone…

Whitney: Uh huh…

Lauren: He never really says bad things about them, which is something I really like about him.

Whitney: That’s a good quality, yeah. That’s a great quality.

Lauren: And so I was like ‘Brody, I’m not accusing you of anything but you know, they’re out there saying you’re the ones saying these things about me....’

Whitney: So then that sparked…?

Lauren: So then he was finally like ‘You know what? Like I didn’t wanna upset you but yes, I know for a fact, he did it’.

Whitney: Oh man.  Do you think that Heidi was involved at all?

Lauren: I mean I feel like there’s a possibility that he may have done it and she knew and just kind of what along with it.

Whitney: So Jen needs to know to stop spreading rumors.

Lauren: Well I’m gonna text her and let her know.

Whitney: And set the record straight.

CUT TO: Cheebo Restaurant

Heidi is there waiting for Jen. Jen walks in and joins her.

Jen: Hi!

Heidi: Hi! Oh how cute you look (They hug)

Jen: How are you?

Heidi: Hi buddy.

Jen: What’s up? (Sits next to Heidi)

Heidi: Nothing much. Getting some lunch. What’s been going on? Any…anything?

Jen: I don’t know, same old stuff, life.

Heidi: What’s wrong? Are you okay?

Jen: Yeah.

Heidi: You seem like stressed or something.

Jen: Actually, I went to lunch with Lauren and we talked about everything and we’re fine.

Heidi: I mean I love that you’re friends with Lauren again. I think you should be friends. I thought the whole thing was silly. I thought…you know…

Jen: So you do want to be friends with her again?

Heidi: if we can put this whole thing behind us, you know…

Jen: I…I mean…that would be amazing if you guys could just…end the drama but it’s just like a sticky situation. You know what I mean? It’s not a little thing. It’s not like someone kissed someone. It’s like…someone put something in front of millions of people. But I feel like I have to like tell you. Brody told Lauren that, you know, you and Spencer did it.

Heidi: I mean obviously he’s gonna say that. It’s not…I wanna believe it.

Jen: You really, really didn’t? You really didn’t?

Heidi: You think I did?

Jen: No I…

Heidi: You think I did?

Jen: No I’m thinking…

Heidi: Okay I would think that you would know better.

Jen: I meant Spencer.

Heidi: What?

Jen: Are you sure Spencer? I didn’t say you.

Heidi: Yes I’m sure Spencer.

Jen: Okay that was all I was asking. It’s like a question. ‘Cause I was told that.

Heidi: I think it’s just funny that you’re coming and blaming me for it. I just think…

Jen: I’m not blaming you.

Heidi: But you’re coming at me like that.

Jen: No, no, no. I just asked. I’m just gonna like bring it up and you say ‘No’ and that’s that. That’s done.

Heidi: Should we get the check? Can we get the check?

CUT TO: Later that day – Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Heidi walks in the door.

Heidi: Hey.

Spencer: How was uh, you had work today, yeah? (Heidi sits at the counter)

Heidi: No I had lunch with Jen Bunney.

Spencer: Wow those are always fun, aren’t they?

Heidi: I mean, Jen was telling me that Lauren was saying ‘Brody says it was all Spencer who started the sex tape rumors’, and blah, blah, blah.

Spencer: He’s such a little bitch.

Heidi: I told Jen, I was like ‘How could you ask me that, like really? I’ve been your friend through all this, when Lauren hasn’t been talking to you’ and all of a sudden like out of nowhere, you know, it’s like they made up, I’m really happy for that but like…

Spencer: He’s so shady.

Heidi: I just think it’s so sad that they’re blaming you, right? (He doesn’t say anything) Spencer…(He just looks at her and it then cuts to an air view of LA)
