Previously on the Hills…
Heidi: Well I heard about that job opening
up of the Event Director…
Lauren: (V.O.) Heidi was moving up the
corporate ladder at Bolthouse. But her new promotion came as a surprise to
Elodie.
Elodie: Good for you. As long as you, you
know, appreciate it as much as I would have.
Lauren: (V.O.) Dating wasn’t going so well
for me.
Derek: I kind of like you more than
everyone I’ve ever met.
Lauren: No you don’t.
Lauren: I have a one date curse that I need
to break.
Whitney: Not everyone’s gonna be like your
Prince Charming.
Lauren: (V.O.) So I decided to see Jason
for the first time since we broke up.
Lauren: I had to make a clean break from
you.
Jason: It was just hard to get over.
Lauren: I know.
Lauren: (V.O.) Audrina got back together
with Justin…again. And they took off for the weekend. There’s just something
about those bad boys that we always end up going back to.
CUT TO: Hillside Villas
Lauren is getting something in the kitchen
when Audrina comes back from her weekend with Justin.
Audrina: Hi.
Lauren: Hell there. (Hugs Audrina) You’re
back. Hi!
Audrina: Hello!
Lauren: Come sit. Come tell me about your
trip.
Audrina: It was so much fun.
Lauren: What did you do? (They both sit
down)
Audrina: We had like good talks and fooled
around and silly and…it was fun.
Lauren: Fooled around, eh? (Audrina laughs)
Where do you and Justin stand, like now, after your trip?
Audrina: You know, he said, make it or
break it…make it.
Lauren: Ooh….Audrina has a boyfriend!
Audrina: It was fun. I think we needed
that. Get out of LA. What did you do? What have you been doing?
Lauren: Not too much. I went to go get
coffee with Jason yesterday.
Audrina: What? Did anything happen? (Lauren
shakes her head) Lauren… (She shakes her head again) Oh my god. I can’t believe
Jason’s back.
CUT TO: Opening Credits
CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment
Heidi walks out of the bathroom
Heidi: Oh look who put the toilet seat down
(Heidi shuts the door)
Spencer: (Reading the paper) Woo! Do I get
an award?
Heidi: Yes you do. (Heidi is now in front
of a mirror, using a makeup brush to put on make up for work)
Spencer: Does that mean we get to go to
breakfast before work?
Heidi: Uh…I don’t think I have time.
Spencer: How’s your friend Elodie handling
your big promotion?
Heidi: She’s fine. It’s business, nothing
personal. (Heidi looks at the jacket she put on in front of the mirror before
walking over to Spencer. Spencer whistles at her)
Spencer: Very cute. Hey. (He leans in to kiss
her but she stops him)
Heidi: (Pointing to her lips) Lip gloss.
Spencer: Okay. (He kisses her very gently
so as not to return her lip gloss)
Heidi: Ooh! (She touches his lips with her
hand) Oh! (She laughs as he puts his arms around her and kisses her neck) So
anyways…I gotta get going to work pretty soon. (He stops kissing her neck)
Spencer: Can I come with you today?
Heidi: I gotta get going ‘cause I have a
lot of responsibility to handle in the office.
Spencer: Will you call me from work?
Heidi: I will.
Spencer: I’ll miss you.
Heidi: I’ll miss you. (Heidi leaves for
work)
CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices
Whitney and others are meeting with Lisa
Love.
Lisa: (Walks in the room) Hello. Hi, hi.
(Sits down) This year, the young Hollywood party is taking a whole new look. Amy
Astley’s decided that she wanted a fashion house involved. And Marc Jacobs is
showcasing Marc by Marc. And I want a lot more people this year. Normally we
have 800 names. I would like to see 1,500. (Whitney is writing all of this down)
Juliana: It’s the first time that Marc
Jacobs is doing a show in LA. Amy’s really passionate about it. So we’re kind
of being out of the box, doing something new, making it a really fun party.
Lisa: If we can narrow the location down to
two options to present to Amy that would be ideal.
Whitney: Okay.
CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices
Heidi walks into the office.
Heidi: (To Lacey) Good morning.
Lacey: Good morning. You have some
messages. I’ll bring those in to you.
Heidi: Okay great. (Heidi goes into her
office)
Lacey: Sure. (Heidi sits down at her desk
as Lacey picks up the paper with Heidi’s messages and brings them in to her as
Elodie watches) One guy, who name was Jake, he said you knew who he was. And
then a guy from the sweet nothings place wanted you to call him back.
Heidi: Okay.
Lacey: So I took down their number.
Heidi: Yeah…but um, like, the calls that
will always get through are (Counting on her fingers) Spencer, Brent, Jen…but
other than that, these are pretty much just…yeah.
Lacey: I’ll patch them through for sure.
Heidi: Exactly yeah.
Lacey: And then the rest, I’ll just write
down for you.
Heidi: Thanks Lacey. (Lacey leaves and
returns to her desk. Elodie looks then looks away, obviously not okay with how
things turned out)
CUT TO: Location Scout – Regent Beverly
Wilshire Hotel
Lauren and Whitney are looking at this as a
possible location for the Young Hollywood Party.
Monica: (Giving them a tour) So the dining
room, on the right. (Cut to another room) And then here you have the living
room.
Whitney: Oh pretty.
Monica: And then (Cuts to another room)
next to that you have the library. So if you have a logo or something from Teen
Vogue, you can project it on the three plasmas.
Whitney: Right. And maybe even while the
fashion show is running, we can like put the fashion show…
Lauren: Oh…
Whitney: On here so people can watch it
upstairs and downstairs.
Lauren: That’s a good idea.
Monica: Mm-hmm. I’m just gonna make sure
the terrace door’s unlocked, okay? You guys can kind of look around…
Whitney: Okay.
Monica: Take pictures if you want to.
Whitney: Yeah okay.
Monica: Okay I’ll be right back. Relax,
okay?
Whitney: Thank you.
Monica: You’re welcome. (She leaves)
Whitney: I’m gonna take a picture of this
place.
Lauren: So guess who I went to get coffee
with yesterday?
Whitney: (Taking pictures) Who?
Lauren: Jason.
Whitney: (Her eyes bug out) Jason, as in
ex-boyfriend Jason? (Laughs)
Lauren: Mm-hmm.
Whitney: Oh my god. That’s like big step.
How was that?
Lauren: Good.
Whitney: It was good?
Lauren: Yeah.
Whitney: Like what kind of good?
Lauren: Good like it was like good to see
him again, obviously.
Whitney: Yeah.
Lauren: ‘Cause he used to be the one I told
everything to, you know what I mean?
Whitney: Mm-hmm.
Lauren: And you don’t get many people like
that in your life that you just tell anything to.
Whitney: Yeah.
Lauren: He’s like a different person.
Whitney: Hopefully.
CUT TO: The Next Day - Teen Vogue Offices
Lauren and Whitney enter the office that
they share. They put down their stuff and sit in their chairs.
Lauren: (On the computer) There’s another
place that won’t work.
Whitney: Yeah not at all. I definitely
think that it’s too small for the Young Hollywood party.
Lauren: It’s difficult ‘cause she wants so
many people.
Whitney: We have to fit the band and the
runway show.
Lauren: I feel like we should look outside
of hotels because I don’t think a hotel’s gonna have the space.
Whitney: I don’t think so either.
Lauren: So Audrina went away with Justin this
weekend.
Whitney: I didn’t know that they were…back
on. (Lauren makes a face and shrugs) Well, they probably worked it out on their
own. No need for anyone else to get involved.
Lauren: Nope.
Whitney: No.
Lauren: Mmm…
Whitney: Bad news.
Lauren: Yeah.
Whitney: Uh huh.
Lauren: Lesson learned.
Whitney: For sure.
Lauren: Stay out of your friend’s love
life.
Whitney: Never do it.
Lauren: Mm-hmm. (Whitney laughs as Lauren’s
phone rings) (Answers her phone) Hello? Hey Jason. Good how are you? Mm-hmm…yeah,
come pick me up. Okay I will. Bye. (She hangs up)
Whitney: That was Jason? (Lauren nods)
Lauren: He wants to go to dinner over at
Ketchup.
Whitney: That’s romantic. Catching up on
old times. Or catching up on recent times. (Lauren shrugs)
CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices
Lacey is putting cards in envelopes when
Heidi arrives.
Heidi: Good morning.
Lacey: Good morning.
Heidi: (Putting stuff down) Um, I just got
a new phone. Would you mind transferring like the Bolthouse contacts and all
the contacts from this phone into the new one?
Lacey: Not a problem.
Heidi: Thanks Lacey.
Lacey: Not a problem. (Heidi goes into her
office. It then shows Lacey transferring the numbers like Heidi asked her to.
Lacey looks up as Elodie walks by, not looking happy, which Heidi sees from her
office) (Lacey picks up Heidi’s new phone) Hi Heidi’s in. Yes, hold on one
second, I’ll get her for you. (Goes into Heidi’s office) Spencer. (Hands Heidi
the phone then goes back to her desk)
Heidi: Hello?
Spencer: Hey beautiful. How are things
going with the new job?
Heidi: Um, it’s going pretty well.
Spencer: So I was thinking tonight we go to
the new place, Ketchup, and celebrate the big promotion. (Heidi laughs)
CUT TO: That Night – Ketchup
Lauren and Jason go inside.
Jason: (To hostess) Hola. (It cuts to an
elevator. Lauren and Jason took it up to their table.) Here we are. After you,
my love. (They get out of the elevator)
Lauren: Thank you. (They sit down at a
table)
Jason: This place is sick. (Jason acts
goofy to the music playing)
Lauren: That’s good. You should do that
when you meet people. (She does it along with him and laughs) I really wanna
have like red lights in my room because red lighting makes… (Jason looks away)
Jason.
Jason: What? (She gives him a weird look)
You think I was checking her out?
Lauren: Yes. (Jason laughs)
Jason: You know me too well.
Lauren: I know you better than anybody.
(Cuts to outside. Spencer and Heidi are going inside)
Spencer: Here we go, Ketchup! (They go up
in the elevator. Lauren notices them)
Lauren: Jason. (He sees them too)
Spencer: (To Lauren & Jason) It’s great
to see you guys back together. (Puts his hand on his chest) It’s heartwarming. (Lauren
rolls her eyes as Spencer walks away to join Heidi. Spencer sits down with
Heidi) That is just too funny.
Heidi: Oh my god. I just can’t believe
that.
Spencer: Go say hi to her. She is your best
friend.
Heidi: Best friends don’t yell at best
friends. (Cuts to Lauren and Jason)
Lauren: I just hate him.
Jason: They really make you that mad?
Lauren: I just don’t like the kid breathing
near me.
Jason: Don’t let it bother you, who cares.
(Cut to Spencer and Heidi)
Spencer: Maybe she picked him up at rehab.
Heidi: Maybe she picked him up outta jail.
(Spencer laughs)
Spencer: Oh I wouldn’t know. (Heidi looks
over at them)
Heidi: Maybe they’re back in the movie
making action.
Spencer: That is crazy. (Cuts to Lauren and
Jason)
Jason: I just don’t like them at all.
Lauren: I know.
Jason: I don’t think anybody does. (Cut to
Heidi and Spencer)
Heidi: I’m gonna send them over a drink.
(Waitress comes over) What should we send them?
Spencer: Um…a bottle of water for him.
Heidi: (To Waitress) Send over…yeah…and
then a drink of whatever she’s drinking.
Spencer: (To waitress) And a Shirley
temple.
Heidi: Thanks. (Waitress leaves and it cuts
to Lauren and Jason)
Jason: I can’t help it. I just wanna like
stare.
Lauren: if you’re my friend, you’ll just
sit here and talk to me and behave. (Waitress comes over with what Heidi and
Spencer sent them)
Waitress: (To Jason) Water for you. (Cuts
to Heidi and Spencer. Heidi is watching from behind her menu) Shirley Temple
(Cuts back to Lauren and Jason)
Lauren: We’re actually fine, thank you.
Jason: Yeah. (Cut back to Heidi and
Spencer. Heidi looks as if she can’t believe they refused the drinks sent over)
Heidi: They just sent the drinks back. Well
that was rude. (Cuts back to Lauren and Jason)
Jason: I think there’s gonna be some
serious beat down. I so want to right now.
Lauren: Look at me. (Raises her hand high)
Them… (Lowers her hand) you. You’re above it. Besides if you get hurt or
something happens, I got no driver so…
Jason: Me get hurt by…?
Lauren: I’m kidding.
Jason: Big mouth?
Lauren: I’m kidding. I know. I’m kidding. (Cut
to Heidi and Spencer. Heidi is now sitting next to Spencer)
Heidi: You know what I find actually
disturbing?
Spencer: What?
Heidi: That after everything she’s been
through with Jason, everything….
Spencer: That she’s even sitting with him.
Heidi: And that me, who was there for her
through all of that hell, is the one she won’t talk to, because of you. I mean
it’s just baffling. It’s like ‘Are you…are you really…are you kidding me?’
(Cuts to Lauren and Jason)
Lauren: I wanna go home.
Jason: Let’s go. Are you in a bad mood now?
Lauren: No. (They get up. Heidi sees them
leave)
Heidi: Bye! (Waves as the elevator closes)
Have a good night! (Cut to Lauren and Jason in the car)
Jason: She found a perfect match though,
that’s for sure.
Lauren: Honestly, I just feel bad for the
girl.
Jason: I just knew from day one that the
chick was shady. She’s like the most lying, con…
Lauren: She really reached a higher level
of betrayal…that she did to me and it’s like…
Jason: What do you mean, to you? She did it
to me too.
Lauren: I know, I know.
Jason: That other thing was super annoying.
It’s like, dude, I never met the kid, first off.
Lauren: Why would he…
Jason: I never would want to meet him.
Lauren: It’s like what was the point of
coming up and saying that? It’s like you…you didn’t know us when we were
dating, don’t be like, ‘Oh I’m really glad to see you back together’.
Jason: It was just like unnecessary
like…(He scoffs) ‘Glad to see you guys back together’. (It cuts to Jason
pulling into Hillside Villas and parking)
Lauren: Sorry that…it was a little bit
interrupted but…
Jason: Oh it’s okay. (She opens the door)
Lauren: Good night. (She shuts the door and
goes inside as Jason leaves)
CUT TO: The Next Day – Teen Vogue Offices
Whitney is at her desk when Lauren comes
in.
Whitney: Hi.
Lauren: Good morning.
Whitney: You look so adorable.
Lauren: Thank you. (Sits down)
Whitney: Lisa agreed we should scout some
places other than hotels.
Lauren: Good.
Whitney: What’s going on?
Lauren: So I had my dinner last night.
Whitney: With Jason? (Lauren nods) How was
it?
Lauren: Um, it was good until Heidi and
Spencer showed up.
Whitney: (Laughs) What do you mean they
showed up?
Lauren: They went to the same restaurant.
(Whitney laughs)
Whitney: So you didn’t like have an
encounter?
Lauren: Oh no there were encounters.
Whitney: There were? (Lauren nods) did they
come…did they say hi to you?
Lauren: First they sent us drinks and we
sent them back. (Whitney laughs) Homeboy would poison my drink, are you
serious?
Whitney: Okay, okay. Then next? Next
encounter?
Lauren: Spencer, who, was never met Jason
before, feels the need to walk by and be like (Impersonating Spencer) ‘I think
it’s really great you guys are getting back together…good’. (Whitney gives a
‘WTF’ look) Like so rude. And I’m like…
Whitney: That’s so strange. Did it end with
you guys just walking out and…?
Lauren: Oh no. Um, they like yelled goodbye
across the restaurant.
Whitney: So what did Jason say when they
came up to you guys and sent you drinks? Was he…?
Lauren: He doesn’t like her. I mean
obviously. He never liked Heidi.
Whitney: He never liked Heidi?
Lauren: He always was like ‘I really don’t
like her, I don’t trust her as your friend like I don’t think…I think she’s
gonna screw you over and…’
Whitney: So he had a good intuition about
her.
CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices
Elodie is sitting, writing something when
Heidi walks in.
Heidi: Hi.
Elodie: Hey Heidi. What’s up?
Heidi: Oh, you’ll never guess who I ran
into. (Cuts to Heidi sitting with Elodie) I went to dinner at Ketchup and guess
who was there two tables away from us? Lauren and Jason. See first of all, when
we walk up, they’re sitting there. I just can’t believe she’s talking to her
crazy, abusive ex-boyfriend, who went to rehab and jail. And she can’t forgive
me? It’s like, is she out of her mind? So we try to send them over drinks, to
be like ‘let’s be out of the water’ like, you know. So they send them back. So
we’re like ‘Okay’.
Elodie: So what exactly did you do to her
that makes her not even wanna accept a drink? And also, you know, you were also
friends with Audrina and now she doesn’t talk to you anymore. You were friends
with Whitney too. You don’t even know what’s wrong and what’s right anymore.
It’s so sad. Well I’m gonna finish up on this so…see ya. (Heidi looks really
pissed off now)
CUT TO: Coffee Place
Jason is looking at a newspaper and using a
red marker on it. Lauren comes and joins him.
Lauren: Hey.
Jason: Yo. (Lauren puts down her purse and
sits down)
Lauren: What are you doing?
Jason: Just checking out places.
Lauren: Have you found any yet?
Jason: Not that I like.
Lauren: I’ll help you find places. I get
the weekend off so…
Jason: Well there’s…a couple places in Santa Monica. It’s right by the beach. I wouldn’t mind being close to the water again.
Lauren: If you live with someone, it needs
to be someone who’s sober.
Jason: None of my friends are sober.
Lauren: I’ll have sober nights with you. We
can go bowling! And we can go to the movies! We could go to like a comedy club.
Jason: Exactly! That’d be really fun. Nice
purse.
Lauren: (Both look at it and laugh, because
it is the purse Jason gave her in the Christmas episode during season one)
Thanks, my uh, loser ex-boyfriend gave it to me. (They laugh) You’re such a
jerk! (They laugh again)
CUT TO: That Night – Don Antonio’s
Heidi and Spencer sit in a booth.
Heidi: Oh…our table.
Spencer: So excited! They need to get us a
little plaque right here that says ‘Spencer and Heidi’s table’.
Heidi: Oh I know. (They both laugh)
Spencer: (Their glasses raised) I’d like to
propose a toast. To my favorite event director, Heidi Montag, the love of my
life, who reached out and got what she deserved. I told you, you wouldn’t
regret it. (Heidi lays her head down on the table) Tired?
Heidi: (Nods) I’m so tired. I went to bed
at three.
Spencer: What were you doing up that late?
Heidi: I couldn’t fall asleep. I’ve been
stressing out a lot about my job. I’ve been doing this job for two years and…I
just feel like I really deserved this promotion. Elodie has to understand, it’s
just business. It just kinda sucks. (It then cuts to an overview of LA, all
lite up)
