Previously on
the Hills…
Lauren: (V.O.)
Spencer made some changes to his and Heidi’s apartment.
Spencer: You
said we needed to get some art.
Lauren: (V.O.)
And that wasn’t all he was changing.
Heidi: (In tears
as she puts on the ring) I love you more than anything in the whole world.
Lauren: (V.O.)
Audrina was trying to decide if Justin was boyfriend material.
Audrina: I’ve
never had a boyfriend before. This is like hard for me.
Lauren: (V.O.)
But after Heidi, I was determined to stay out of it.
Lauren: I’m
keeping my opinions to myself. They just get me in trouble.
Lauren: (V.O.)
And now Audrina was about to find out, sometimes, the baddest boys are the
hardest to stay away from.
CUT TO:
Hillside Villas
Audrina:
Tonight, me and Justin are gonna go get drinks at Bella. You should come meet
with us. We should all go out.
Lauren: How are
you guys? Are you guys good?
Audrina: It’s
not like…I’m not gonna rush it and be boyfriend and girlfriend and like…I’m…I’ve
never really had like a real relationship so…like I have commitment issues.
Lauren: Do you
want him to be your boyfriend? Or do you just like…whatever?
Audrina: I
wanna like hang out with him a little more before I make that decision.
Lauren:
Honestly like I don’t even know the guy. Know what I mean? Like I’ve talked to
him like two seconds…
Audrina: Yeah.
You can talk to him tonight.
Lauren: Well
it’ll be fun. I wanna meet you guys for drinks.
Audrina: Yeah.
You should come out.
Lauren: You
know. You’re a smart girl. You know what you’re doing. Go with your gut but use
your head.
Audrina: Yeah.
We’ll see.

CUT TO:
Bolthouse Offices
Elodie is
sitting on the couch, working when Heidi comes in.
Heidi: Hey.
Elodie: Hey
Heidi.
Heidi: How are
you doing?
Elodie: Good
how are you?
Heidi: Good.
Working?
Elodie: Yup.
(Heidi sits down at her desk) (Notices Heidi’s engagement ring) What’s that on
your finger?
Heidi: (Shows
her the hand) This?
Elodie: Come
over here right now. (Heidi laughs. She gets up and joins Elodie) OMG! (Heidi
laughs again, showing Elodie the ring) Oh my god. It’s so beautiful!
Heidi: Thank
you.
Elodie: So tell
me all the details. When did it happen?
Heidi: Okay. So
it was last weekend and um…
Elodie: Oh my
god.
Heidi: We were
up at the beach house and he was like ‘I have a surprise for you’ and you know…
After like the spray paint…
Elodie: And you
did not see it coming?
Heidi: No, no,
no…’cause after like the spray painting on the walls…
Elodie: I
didn’t hear anything about that.
Heidi: You
don’t know he spray painted on the wall?
Elodie: No.
Heidi: So he
did that and I was just like ‘Oh…what kind of surprise is it?’ you know like…
Elodie: You’re
not pregnant, are you?
Heidi: Oh…no
way!
Elodie: Okay.
Heidi: No way.
(She laughs)
Elodie: So
you’re fully engaged?
Heidi: I think
I’m about to have a panic attack thinking about like planning a wedding and
everything.
Elodie: Oh
yeah. How you gonna do it like big wedding or small wedding? Or you’re not even
thinking about it?
Heidi: I’m not
even…I have no idea.
Elodie: Can we
just have a lingerie brunch instead?
Heidi: Yeah.
Elodie: I think
when I was at your age, I couldn’t…I would have been like ‘Are you kidding me?
No way’.
Heidi: But it’s
like if you meet a Spencer at my age, you know, it’s a whole different thing
like you know it’s like…he’s not only my fiancée (Elodie squeals and they
laugh) you know it’s like…
Elodie: Oh no.
Heidi: He’s
like my soul mate. You know it’s like…
Elodie: Yeah I mean
my advice to you is just to make sure that you take a lot of time with your
engagement…
Heidi: Yeah.
Elodie: I don’t
think you should buy a wedding dress any time soon.
Heidi: No. Long
time.
Elodie: Maybe
you should just start with the magazines. (They laugh) Like let’s just start
with the magazines.
CUT TO: Street
Brody and
Spencer are walking.
Brody: (As they
pass a furniture store) You need to get some furniture for your pad. Last time
I saw it, it looked ganky…
Spencer: Oh
dude we need to get furniture. Heidi wanted to go furniture shopping.
Brody: Heidi’s
probably like ‘Let’s go’. (As they enter a store) I wanna go in here. (Spencer
opens the door) Thank you Spencer.
Woman: Hello
gentlemen.
Brody: Hello.
Spencer: It’s
summer time player. Get my gear on. We need to get board shorts for Cabo.
Brody: (Looking
at a pair) Black. Hell yeah. So how did uh, I’m scared to ask. How did Santa
Barbara go?
Spencer: It
went amazing. I never thought I’d be at twenty-three wanting to marry a girl.
It’s like I used to think marriage was the dumbest thing for guys who couldn’t
get laid that were like ‘Here I’ll give you half my money’.
Brody: I
remember you used to say that.
Spencer: I
know. I used to say like it was from back in the day. They’d say ‘Hey! I’m
gonna give you half my money. All you gotta do is make my food and hang out
with me’.
Brody:
(Laughing) Make my food. (Tries on a hat)
Spencer: So I
was very against it. And you meet somebody like Heidi and it makes you realize
you can spend your whole life with one girl, forever, and be happy.
Brody: Yo, I’m
curious to know if you’re getting married, where we going for this bachelor
party?
Spencer: I’ll
throw you a bachelor party.
Brody: I’m not
getting married any time soon.
Spencer: No
that’s my point. It’ll be called ‘A Bachelor Party for single Brody’.
Brody:
(Laughing) Oh shut up. (They leave the store) You said, you’ve been a bachelor
for twenty-three years. That’s good ‘cause you’re about to be married, you’re
not gonna have any sex at all. (He laughs) I know married couples, they don’t
have sex. (He laughs)
CUT TO: Teen
Vogue Offices
Whitney: So
what’s going on, girlie?
Lauren: Not too
much. What have you been up to?
Whitney: Just
working. What about you?
Lauren: Well
tonight I’m gonna go out with Audrina and Justin. Third wheeling it.
Whitney: That’s
fun. (She laughs)
Lauren: I don’t
know what attracts her so much to him.
Whitney: He’s a
good looking guy. But looks can only take me so far.
Lauren: He like
abandoned her in Vegas.
Whitney: And if
those bad traits show up right at the beginning of a relationship, it’s just
like red flag immediately.
Lauren: Like I
wanna try really hard to like him, you know what I mean? Like I’ve never really
sat and had a conversation with him…so we’ll see. Maybe he deserves another
chance.
Whitney: You
gotta tell me how that goes.
Lauren: Oh I
will.
CUT TO: Heidi
& Spencer’s Apartment
Spencer is near
a video game he bought when he moves away to look at his phone when Heidi comes
in.
Heidi: Hi.
Spencer: Your
hair looks amazing.
Heidi: Thanks.
(He hugs her and they kiss)
Spencer: Um…so
I went shopping with Brody today.
Heidi: What is
that?
Spencer: What
is that? (They walk toward the game) It’s a little detail for the pad.
Heidi: It’s an
insect?
Spencer: No the
insect’s gonna be covered by uh, lethal enforcer.
Heidi: Are we
gonna put like painting over this or something?
Spencer: (Heidi
tries it) These are original, vintage graphics from 1980’s, collector’s item.
Wanna play one player or two?
Heidi: Neither.
I have to get dressed.
Spencer: Just
try it, just try it. (He starts playing)
Heidi: When is
it going back?
Spencer: What?
Heidi: When is
it going back?
Spencer: What
do you mean going back?
Heidi: (Presses
the buttons) Going back to wherever you got it from.
Spencer: It’s
for here forever.
Heidi: What?
Spencer: (Moves
and almost hits his head) Whoa watch your head. (He starts picking up stuff)
Heidi: I
thought we were getting a table in here.
Spencer: All
right let’s get a pool table.
Heidi: A table.
Like to eat on. Or something. (She walks away from
the game and
over to Spencer) Oh my god. (She gets the stuff she came in with)
CUT TO: That
Night – Bella
Audrina and
Justin walk in and sit at a table, waiting for Lauren.
Justin: When’s
Lauren coming?
Audrina: She’s
on her way. You look comfy.
Justin: I know.
I was lying around all day.
Audrina: Are
you sick?
Justin: I feel
like s***. I don’t know what it is. (Lauren comes in and sits with them)
Audrina: Lauren
hi.
Lauren: How are
you?
Audrina: Good
how are you?
Lauren: Good.
(To Justin) So you drove your bike here?
Justin: Yeah.
Lauren: I love
bikes but…(Points her finger at him) you be careful. (Justin puts his hood back
on)
Justin: Yeah.
Lauren: It’s
precious cargo you got there. (Justin burps)
Audrina: You
burp a lot. (He keeps burping. She tries to cover his mouth) Excuse you mister.
(She laughs)
Lauren: So any
who…
Audrina: So
what do you think Lauren? Do you think he’s a good guy?
Lauren: You
know, it takes more than a couple drinks to tell.
Justin: It’s
not all about me this time, you know. I got some questions for you.
Lauren: Tell me
what you think about me. Give me my evaluation. (He shakes his head) But I want
it. I wanna hear it.
Audrina: (To
Justin) You love Lauren, right?
Justin: I’m
actually really in love with her. I mean I don’t know how to…
Audrina: Date
her.
Justin: I’m
trying to but I gotta get through you to get to her.
Audrina: You’re
such a f***ing ass. (He laughs)
Lauren: Do you
want to hear your evaluation?
Justin: No I
don’t care.
Lauren: Audrina
cares.
Justin: It is
what it is. Let’s go.
Audrina: It is
what it is.
Lauren: Well
I’m glad we did drinks. (Cut to outside. Audrina is saying goodbye to Lauren as
Justin starts up his bike) Audrina call me later.
Audrina: I love
you.
Lauren: I love
you. (They hug) Be safe.
Audrina: I’ll
call you in a little bit.
Lauren: Justin
please be careful driving with her. (Audrina gets on, he starts it up more and
they drive away. Lauren shakes her head and walks away)
CUT TO: The
Next Day – Hillside Villas
Audrina and
Lauren are by the pool, chatting about last night.
Lauren: You’re
so sleepy today.
Audrina: I
think I could sleep right now. So Justin last night was being weird. It was so
awkward.
Lauren: It was
awkward for you?
Audrina: I’m
glad you were there with me.
Lauren: You
should try being the third wheel on that date.
Audrina: He
wasn’t nice.
Lauren: No he
wasn’t. Sorry.
Audrina: Yup.
(She laughs) He was really rude and disrespectful.
Lauren: Really
though, like when you look at Justin, do you say ‘Oh there looks like a
gentleman’?
Audrina: No.
(Lauren laughs) Do you think I should even call him and hear what he has to
say?
Lauren: Do you
really want to know what I think or are you just asking?
Audrina: Well
obviously not. (She laughs)
Lauren: You
know what I’m gonna say.
Audrina: I know
what you’re gonna say ‘cause that’s what I’m thinking. Just leave it.
Lauren: You
should have a guy that like makes you feel happy or not upset. You know what I
mean? I don’t think that’s much to ask for.
Audrina: Time
to move on.
Lauren: So are
you done? Are you like 100% done? (Audrina doesn’t answer. She just sits there,
thinking as Lauren looks at her)
CUT TO: Heidi
& Spencer’s Apartment
Heidi is
sitting on the couch, eating while Spencer is in the kitchen.
Spencer: Um…so
after cooking I realized that on Monday, we need to go (Goes over to Heidi)
like you’ve been saying. Buy plates, (sits down with her) spoons…
Heidi: A table.
Spencer: Yeah I
definitely think you’re right. We need to get a uh, a coffee table. Or
something.
Heidi: Or a
dining room table.
Spencer: A
dining room table?
Heidi: Mm-hmm.
And…what else do we need? We need everything. We don’t even have anything in here.
Spencer: This
mural is so much more fun to look at (Shows the mural) than a blank wall.
Heidi: I feel
like we’re literally in a playhouse. I talked to Elodie about living here and
about this (She points up at the mural) and the video games and she was just
like ‘Spencer doesn’t make the decisions with you? He just does that?’ And I
was just kinda like ‘Yeah I guess he does’. (She laughs) I guess we’re not
making these decisions together.
Spencer:
They’re not decisions, they’re surprises.
Heidi: Okay.
There’s a difference between surprises and coming home and seeing like spray
paint all over the walls and video games there and like…
Spencer: That’s
stressful.
Heidi: It was a
little stressful.
Spencer: What
part was stressful?
Heidi: Thinking
the landlord’s gonna come up and kick us out.
Spencer: Wow. I
love having this power. (Heidi looks at him, not happy at all)
CUT TO:
Pinkberry
Lauren and Lo
are sitting outside, eating ice cream and talking about Audrina and Justin.
Lo: I’m so
excited for Pinkberry. I love Pinkberry.
Lauren: You’re
such a little kid. I love it.
Lo: I know and
I got Fruity Pebbles too. (They sit down. Lauren laughs) I haven’t had Fruity
Pebbles in a real long time and they looked really good.
Lauren: I
hadn’t had ‘em like ever.
Lo: Where’d you
go? What was last night? Wednesday? Les Deux? Anything fabulous happen?
Lauren: (She
shakes her head) I’m kinda in a rut.
Lo: Well let’s
get you out of a rut. (Lauren rolls her eyes) How was uh, Audrina? Is she still
dating Justin-Bobby or whatever?
Lauren: I went
out to have drinks with them the other night.
Lo: Mm-hmm.
(Lauren rolls her eyes again)
Lauren: It was
not good.
Lo: What do you
mean?
Lauren: He’s
just weird like…I don’t know. It was just like he was being like disrespectful,
you know what I mean? If it was any other guy, I would’ve like been like ‘No’
but I was like trying to like him for her sake.
Lo: Well…I
don’t know.
Lauren: We’re
supposed to work out.
Lo: What?
Lauren: We’re
supposed to work out in like an hour.
Lo: Are you
going to?
Lauren: I
really don’t want to.
Lo: Then don’t.
Skip it. Eat your Pinkberry and enjoy life.
Lauren: (Goes
through her phone) Yeah I’m calling Audrina real quick.
Lo: Okay. (Lo
looks through her phone)
Lauren: (On the
phone) Hey um, question. Did you decide…are we going to the gym? Are you
really? Okay. Well um, I wish you luck. Well I’ll talk to you later. Bye.
(Hangs up) Ooh…she’s going to meet Justin-Bobby.
Lo: Why?
(Lauren shrugs) I thought he was being mean.
Lauren: I hate
it. I really want to like…like I want to like the guys she likes but…I can’t do
the roommate thing with the sucky boyfriend.
Lo: Yeah you
already did that once and it didn’t work out so well.
Lauren: I can’t
do it.
CUT TO:
Charcoal
Audrina is
there waiting for Justin.
CUT TO: Street
Justin is
walking to go meet Audrina.
CUT TO:
Charcoal
Audrina is
still waiting just as it shows Justin walking in from outside. He walks up to
her and starts making noises behind her.
Audrina: Are
you eating my hair? (He laughs) Hi.
Justin: Hi.
(They hug)
Audrina: I
haven’t talked to you in like a week.
Justin: I know.
Why? Why?
Audrina: I
don’t know ‘cause Friday night was weird.
Justin: Yeah I
know. It was weird.
Audrina: Wasn’t
it? (He sits down) It was a bad night for me and it just kept getting worse.
Justin: Why?
Audrina: You
were grumpy and mean and…
Justin: I know.
I was sick.
Audrina: You
were sick? You shouldn’t have come out if you were sick.
Justin: I know.
But I wanted to hang out. I didn’t think it was that big of a thing. Sorry.
Audrina: I
don’t know. It was awkward. A weird situation.
Justin: How is
your roommate?
Audrina:
Lauren? She just thought that some of your comments were really rude.
Justin: I
didn’t mean anything by it.
Audrina: I don’t
know. I thought she…I…
Justin: It’s
not a big deal. I don’t really care, truthfully.
Audrina: I
don’t know. Maybe we’re just better off just friends. What do you think?
Justin: I mean…
Audrina: You
tell me. I don’t know. I’m not good with commitment. I’m not good with…I don’t
know.
Justin: Well
you’re like me and that’s why we have these issues.
Audrina: I
know.
Justin: So…we
have a choice. We have a choice to either be like ‘F*** it peace’ and you know
kick rocks and…
Audrina: Yeah.
Justin: Be acquaintances.
Or we can be cool with each other and enjoy the company and have fun when we go
out and do things and not let the bull s*** get in the way and if we look
beyond it and we’re just cool…
Audrina: So do
you wanna look beyond it?
Justin: I’m
already looked beyond it. I don’t…I…I take you for who you are and the person
you are and the heart that you have and I don’t let anybody interfere with
that. I think truth and time tells all.
Audrina: All
right (Holds up her glass) to truth and time.
Justin: Okay.
CUT TO: Heidi
& Spencer’s Apartment
Heidi is
painting over the mural with white paint and a roller when Spencer comes in.
Spencer: Yo,
yo.
Heidi: Yo, yo.
Hi. (Spencer doesn’t look happy when he sees what she is doing) Surprise! I
have surprise for you!
Spencer: Are
you kidding right now?
Heidi: I mean,
were you kidding when you put it up? This is a surprise, just like you
surprised me.
Spencer: I
surprised you with a beautiful mural. You surprise me with…
Heidi: A
beautiful white wall.
Spencer: Boring
white wall.
Heidi: You
can’t really be mad at me.
Spencer: I
can’t?
Heidi: No.
Spencer: I mean
I just can’t even believe you did this. (Goes over by her)
Heidi: Well…we
can decide what to do with this wall together. I mean, I don’t know what to
tell you. You can’t be mad at me. I mean…(She gets up off the couch)
Spencer: I can.
Heidi: No you
can’t. I mean I thought we should make decisions together. What furniture we
get, what we put on the walls, what dishes we get, you know? It’s all…us being
together, that’s what part of…
Spencer: I
totally agree.
Heidi: You
know, if we’re really gonna, you know, do this engagement thing and everything,
it’s like our whole lives, our decisions, are together. (She sits next to him
on the couch) Hmm?
Spencer:
Hmm…yeah.
Heidi: Hmm…so
from now on, do we agree to make decisions together?
Spencer: What
could I do without you?
Heidi: Don’t
say it like that. (She gets up) Anyways…so this is what it is so…
Spencer: So
this is what it is. So great. (He claps) Great, great paint job.
Heidi: Thank
you. I thought I did well. (She leaves the room. Even though Spencer hates what
she did, he continues painting over the mural. Then it shows all of LA at
night)
