Last season on The Hills…

Lauren: (V.O.) Living in Los Angeles taught me some tough lessons last year. I broke up with the love of my life. And my oldest and best friend totally betrayed me.

Lauren: You did something really shady and you did it behind my back. It wasn’t all Brody. It was you!

Lauren: (V.O.) My roommate Heidi started dating a guy that I just didn’t trust.

Kristen: Spencer. He walked in with two blond bimbos.

Heidi: What blond bimbos?

Kristen: I don’t know. I’ve never seen ‘em before.

Lauren: (V.O.) And eventually, it tore us apart.

Lauren: He’s a sucky person! He’s a sucky person!

Heidi: Lauren.

Lauren: (V.O.) Heidi finally decided to move in with Spencer.

Heidi: If I do this with you, though, you’re gonna be serious right? No more messing around? No Playmates?

Spencer: Deal.

Lauren: (V.O.) And I knew our friendship would never be the same.

Heidi: I don’t want it to be like I move out and that’s the end of it. You know, it’s not like that at all.

Lauren: It might be though Heidi.

Lauren: (V.O.) But a lot’s happened since then. Whitney graduated from college and she got the job at Teen Vogue.

Lisa: There’s a world of difference between being an intern and an employee.

Lauren: (V.O.) And now, she’s my boss. Audrina and I settled in as roommates. And it’s been so much fun. I felt like I had it all back on track. But then I heard something that made me realize that Heidi and I could never be friends again.

CUT TO:Teen Vogue

Whitney is at her new desk when Lauren comes in.

Lauren: Hi.

Whitney: Hey.

Lauren: Look at you, with your own desk.

Whitney: I know, so official.

Lauren: (Looks around) Oh my god. They moved everything around in here.

Whitney: I know.

Lauren: It looks good, though.

Whitney: And all the clothes are more organized and everything too. Like all the sweaters and the shoes right there.

Lauren: (Now sitting in her chair) I’m so proud of you, with your new job.

Whitney: Thank you.

Lauren: Are you gonna be my boss man?

Whitney: Supposedly. How are you doing?

Lauren: I didn’t tell you what happened?

Whitney: No.

Lauren: I started having like my friends coming up to me and just telling me like really like rude horrible rumors and like the next thing I know, all of like the exact same things they were telling me like ended up on the internet.

Whitney: Horrible.

Lauren: And it got back to like Laguna and my parents.

Whitney: What were the rumors?

Lauren: They basically were saying that like me and Jason made like inappropriate videotapes…

Whitney: Oy…Who does that?

Lauren: I just could never understand hating someone so much that you’d wanna do something like that to them.

Whitney: Have you heard from Heidi lately? (Lauren shakes her head)

CUT TO:Opening Credits

CUT TO:Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Heidi is working on invitations for her and Spencer’s housewarming party when Spencer comes in, with people bringing in a fishtank and TVs.

Spencer: Delivery!

Heidi: Hey. (Puts the invitations aside) You got the TVs? (Gets up as she sees the fishtank) What is that?

Spencer: A jelly aquarium.

Heidi: (Laughs) What? (Then men put it in) I didn’t even know you were looking for a fishtank.

Spencer: You working on invites?

Heidi: Yeah I was. I need the guest list of who’s coming for the housewarming party.

Spencer: The guest…I don’t think we have a guest list. Cause I invite friends and tell friends to invite friends so I don’t know what…(The men pour water into the tank)

Heidi: So how many people are coming?

Spencer: I invited Brody, Frankie. I invited your boy. I invited Gino, Panaro…What about you? Who are you gonna invite?

Heidi: I’ll invite Lauren and Audrina and then um, Whitney, I already invited. But that’s pretty much it.

Spencer: We’ll see if we can get ‘em on the list. (He laughs)

CUT TO:Epic Records

Audrina is at her desk when Heidi comes in to invite her and Lauren to the housewarming party.

Heidi: Hi.

Audrina: Hi.

Heidi: How are you? (Approaches her desk)

Audrina: Good. I haven’t seen you in so long.

Heidi: How’s work going?

Audrina: Good.

Heidi: Yeah? You’re just here by yourself? (Audrina nods) Um, Spencer and I are having a little housewarming party and wanted to see if you and Lauren wanted to come. (Gets the invites out of her purse and puts them on the counter in front of Audrina) For both of you. If you want to come, I talked to Whitney and I think she should be coming.

Audrina: Whitney’s gonna go?

Heidi: Mm-hmm.

Audrina: Okay. I’ll give it to Lauren.

Heidi: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So if you guys can come…

Audrina: Yeah.

Heidi: If not but…

Audrina: Um, but it was good seeing you.

Heidi: Of course.

Audrina: I have to go take these to the mailroom.

Heidi: Okay. Bye.

Audrina: Bye. (Heidi leaves and Audrina gets up to go tell Chiara about what just happened) Oh my god. Chiara. (Sits down)

Chiara: Hi.

Audrina: Oh my god. Heidi just came in here right now.

Chiara: Is she still here?

Audrina: No she just left.

Chiara: What was she doing here?

Audrina: She came here to give us housewarming invitations. Ugh…I didn’t even tell you this story. But like…she hasn’t called Lauren once since she’s moved out. We’ve heard from friends that her and Spencer were talking so much crap on Lauren. Saying really mean, mean things. Saying that Lauren was no one without Heidi and she could never get into any club without her.

Chiara: That’s so pathetic.

Audrina: You know what’s the bad thing? Lauren’s mom called her. She was like ‘Lauren…there’s these rumors on these websites saying that you and Jason have a sex tape out’. And Lauren’s like ‘What?’

Chiara: I can not even imagine.

Audrina: Even if these rumors are going on, she could have called her and been like ‘You know like I’m sorry like are you okay?’

Chiara: Right. Even if they had nothing to do with the rumors in the first place.

Audrina: We don’t have any real proof but they were best friends and…

Chiara: Yeah.

Audrina: For Heidi just to stand back and not do anything. And then for her to come in here and give us invitations and expect us to go to her housewarming party. It’s not gonna happen.

Chiara: No. That’s really weird…ugh.

Audrina: I mean, I have Lauren’s back, regardless.

CUT TO:Milk

Lauren is sitting outside with Whitney, telling her about Heidi coming to Audrina’s work.

Lauren: Oh my god. I have to tell you something. Audrina was at work today and Heidi walked into her work.

Whitney: Really?

Lauren: She came in to give us invitations to her housewarming party tonight.

Whitney: That’s strange. So she really thinks you’re gonna go?

Lauren: No. She can’t think I’m gonna go.

Whitney: I feel bad not going but at the same time I just think I would feel really uncomfortable being there. She’s in a different world.

Lauren: Yeah.

Whitney: Oh well. Hope she has fun. So what are we doing tonight?

Lauren: We’re going to Les Deux. You should come. Almost every time I go there, I meet a cute guy.

Whitney: Really? That sounds fun. (Whitney laughs)

CUT TO:That Night – Les Deux Nightclub

Lauren, Audrina and their friends go inside.

CUT TO:Inside Les Deux

Lauren: (With a cute guy) Girls. Girls, this is Jason. And he has an accent.

Jason: I’m intimidated…You’re a very good looking girl.

Lauren: You come sit with me. Come here. (They go sit down) Come on, Jason. (To her friends) He’s so cute, right?

Jason: I can’t believe I’m leaving tomorrow. I’m absolutely devastated.

Lauren: You’re leaving tomorrow? Audrina. Audrina. I just found…an adorable boy…from London…with an accent…who’s leaving tomorrow. Jackpot.

CUT TO:Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

A lot of people are there for the housewarming party.

Brody: (Making drinks) Unbelievable. Wait till you taste these things. (Someone knocks at the door. Heidi answers the door and it turns out to be Jen Bunney, who is now Heidi’s friend instead of Lauren’s.)

Heidi: Bunney! (Hugs Jen) Hi. (Jen squeals)

Brody: Spencer’s about to pay me for this s***.

Heidi: (To someone) Hi nice to see you. You guys…margaritas in here.

Jen: Your apartment is so cute. (Heidi leads Jen somewhere)

CUT TO:Les Deux

Jason: Is that a sidekick?

Lauren: It’s a Blackberry.

Jason: All you Americans e-mail.

Lauren: Americans? Am I American?

Jason: I like to hope so. (Whitney comes in)

Lauren: Whitney! Whitney, come here. Whitney come here. (Whitney sits next to Lauren) I met a cute guy, come here. Tell me if you think he’s cute ‘cause I’m drunk.

Whitney: Where? (Lauren points next to her at Jason) No. (They laugh)

CUT TO:Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Brody: Refill, player boy.

Spencer: I shouldn’t even be drinking.

Brody: It’s Friday night. You’re twenty-three years old.

Spencer: Brody’s such a good influence.

Brody: Who wants one? (Cut to the balcony. Heidi is out there, talking with Jen)

Heidi: What a nice party. I’m so glad that you came.

Jen: I know. I’m so glad.

Heidi: So, so glad…I missed you so much.

Jen: I’m totally focused on like my real friendships right now and like you’re a very important person to me. I’m just glad that, you know, I’m here and we’re talking.

Heidi: I’m just glad that you’re part of my fresh start. You know, I’m glad that you’re here to really be a part of all this…

Jen: Of course, obviously.

Heidi: Because you know you mean so much to me.

Jen: Did you invite Lauren?

Heidi: I did. I wish, you know, she were here to like see how much fun this is. (Heidi sadly looks at the door as if she expects Lauren to walk in)

CUT TO:The Next Day – Hillside Villas

Lauren and Audrina are trying to get over last night’s fun at Les Deux.

Audrina: Lauren. I think the girls’ pre-party before going out isn’t always a good idea.

Lauren: No, no more. We can’t start so early.

Audrina: I have the worst headache.

Lauren: What time did you get home?

Audrina: Six in the morning.

Lauren: The club closes at two. What did you do for four hours?

Audrina: We went back to Justin’s apartment.

Lauren: So you hooked up with him?

Audrina: We made out. (Lauren laughs) You made out with that guy from London.

Lauren: Oh god.

Audrina: You guys kissed a lot.

Lauren: No we didn’t.

Audrina: It wasn’t just once.

Lauren: Really?

Audrina: Yes!

Lauren: (They laugh) No!

CUT TO:Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Spencer is making something in the blender as he and Heidi talk about their housewarming party.

Heidi: I liked all your friends last night.

Spencer: You know, they love you, actually.

Heidi: They seemed very nice, all of them.

Spencer: Oh! Frankie invited us to his birthday party at Les Deux tonight.

Heidi: Oh yeah? Is um, Lauren going?

Spencer: Um, she actually just called me. I just missed her call. I’ll call her back and ask her and see what she says.

Heidi: I wish Audrina and Lauren would have come last night.

Spencer: I mean, I totally accept that she doesn’t like me…

Heidi: Yeah.

Spencer: But she shouldn’t take that out on you.

Heidi: I know. Our friendship shouldn’t suffer from it.

CUT TO:That Night – Hillside Villas

Lauren and Audrina are getting ready to go to Frankie’s party, the same one as Heidi and Spencer.

Audrina: So what time do we have to be at Frankie’s?

Lauren: Let’s go around ten.

Audrina: So I told you I show Brody, right?

Lauren: Mm-hmm.

Audrina: He came up to me and he was really nice at first. And then he started saying how we didn’t go to the housewarming party and how we missed out.

Lauren: That’s just rude, though.

Audrina: It is really rude.

Lauren: When you disrespected someone so much, they’re not gonna be there for you.

Audrina: They’re not…no.

Lauren: And at this point, I have no intention in being there for her.

Audrina: What can you do?

Lauren: All I know is thank you for getting out of my life because now I have a better roommate and a better apartment and I’m just in a better situation.

Audrina: Yeah.

Lauren: Cheers. Frankie’s birthday. (They do cheers with their Red Bulls)

Audrina: Let’s go have fun. Who cares? It’s done and over with.

Lauren: It’s gonna be a long night.

CUT TO:Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

They are also getting ready to go to Les Deux for Frankie’s party. Heidi comes out where Spencer is in a dress and he whistles at her.

Spencer: That looks good. (Heidi puts on shoes) And those the shoes?

Heidi: I think so. (Heidi looks at herself in the mirror with the shoes on)

Spencer: I’m dying to see if Lauren, Audrina and Whitney show up to Frankie’s birthday. Somebody they’ve known for three months and they didn’t show up to their like best friend’s housewarming party.

Heidi: (Comes out with a letter) So I wrote Lauren a letter about not coming to the housewarming party.

Spencer: Let me read these.

Heidi: (Takes them away from him) Well how about you don’t read ‘em? They’re personal.

Spencer: Oh…(She leans down and kisses him)

Heidi: Okay. So should we go?

Spencer: (He gets up) Oh look at this. (Heidi helps him put on a jacket) God, you come in handy so often these days.

CUT TO:Inside Les Deux

Lauren and Audrina walk inside, talking with people. Lauren hugs someone. Lauren is talking with Natania and they laugh. Lauren signals to Audrina and Audrina walks over to her. Audrina twirls Lauren around. They then sit down. Frankie enters the club.

Lauren: Frankie’s here! The birthday boy! (He runs up to Lauren and hugs her just as Heidi and Spencer enter the club)

Audrina: Frankie. Happy birthday.

Heidi: Oh yeah.

Spencer: Just take it.

Heidi: Take all of it. (Lauren sees Heidi & Spencer and she does not look happy)

Audrina: (Hugging Frankie) Happy birthday.

Heidi: (Her and Spencer are near Lauren & Audrina. Heidi hands Lauren the letter) Here Lauren. I wrote you a letter. (Lauren takes it) Frankie’s birthday! (Now sitting next to Spencer) Happy birthday!

Lauren: (Looking pissed, Lauren gets up) I’ll be right back. (She leaves)

Heidi: (To Audrina) It sucks that we can’t be at the same place, you know for no reason.

Audrina: I think you and Lauren should talk.

Heidi: I would love to talk to her. I have no idea what’s even going on. I don’t know what to say.

Spencer: I’m ready to go.

Heidi: Yeah, let’s go. (Heidi and Spencer get up and leave the table)

Audrina: (To a friend) Heidi knows exactly what she did. She acted stupid like ‘What did I do? Why did she get so mad at me?’ We’ve heard all the s*** you guys have been talking about Lauren. You know what you did. Go talk to her.

Guy: You need to go talk to her.

Audrina: I’m going to go find her. I’ll be back. (Audrina gets up to find Lauren. Audrina tries a door) Are you in line?

Guy: No.

Spencer: (To someone) Thank you for coming over to the pad last night, appreciate it. Good friends came. (Cuts to the bathroom. Lauren and Audrina are in there)

Lauren: I can’t believe her.

Audrina: What did the letter say?

Lauren: Oh, I want to read that. (Lauren opens up the envelope) Lauren. I wish you were there, we need to catch up. I really miss you. I understand you don’t like Spencer, but I didn’t do anything. I have always loved you, call me when you get a chance. P.S. The housewarming party wasn’t the same without you. She won’t f***ing admit it. (They leave the bathroom)

Heidi: (To Spencer) That’s her problem I guess.

Spencer: Let’s roll on her.

Heidi: What?

Spencer: Go roll up on her right now. Just be like, what’s your problem? (Heidi & Spencer go outside where Lauren and Audrina are)

Heidi: Lauren.

Lauren: I don’t wanna talk to you.

Heidi: What is your problem? I don’t understand.

Audrina: Heidi, you’re a different person.

Lauren: You’re not the same person. You’re not my friend anymore. I really, I don’t care about you. I don’t ever, ever wanna talk to you again.

Heidi: I think that’s really sad, Lauren.

Lauren: I think you’re really sad. That’s reality. That’s reality! (Her and Audrina walk away) I feel bad for you.

Heidi: I always feel bad for you Lauren! Always!

Lauren: (Comes back outside, followed by Audrina) No Heidi you’re the bad person. What did I do? What did I do?

Heidi: I was there for you through everything and now you’re mad at me? It’s like…oh come on, seriously.

Lauren: Do you know why I’m mad at you?

Heidi: Why, Lauren?

Lauren: You know why I’m mad at you.

Heidi: Why? Why?

Lauren: You know what you did.

Heidi: What did I do?

Lauren: You know what you did!

Heidi: What did I do? What?

Lauren: Heidi, you’re brainwashed. You’re a different person now.

Heidi: You guys are crazy.

Audrina: Yes…you’re crazy.

Heidi: What did I do? What did I do?

Lauren: You guys are sick people.

Heidi: What did we do?

Lauren: What did you do? What did you do? You started a sick little rumor about me.

Heidi: I didn’t start any rumor about you.

Lauren: Oh really? Nothing? Nothing?

Heidi: No.

Lauren: You’re a sad pathetic person. (Audrina follows Lauren inside)

Audrina: Lauren. (They sit down with friends) She’s playing miss innocent. She knows exactly…

Lauren: I’m so freakin’ mad right now.

Audrina: You don’t know…

Lauren: I’m so mad right now. (Cuts to Spencer and Heidi driving away in his car. Heidi looks upset as Spencer looks at her.)

CUT TO:The Next Day – Street

Heidi is walking with Elodie, telling about what happened with Lauren the night before.

Elodie: Oh I’m so hungry.

Heidi: Oh my god. I totally forgot to tell you what happened.

Elodie: What?

Heidi: I went to Les Deux for um, Frankie’s birthday, right?

Elodie: Uh huh.

Heidi: So I walked in with Frankie and everyone. Lauren was at the table, right? And she got up from the table and left. So I was like ‘Okay…’

Elodie: What?

Heidi: Yeah. And it’s like I didn’t even think we had a problem. So I go downstairs to see what’s wrong…

Elodie: Uh huh.

Heidi: And she starts…mad…she’s looking at me so crazy. She’s like ‘You know what you did!’ Starts screaming at me. ‘You’re pathetic! You’re brainwashed! Spencer brainwashed you!’ I was like ‘What are you talking about?’

Elodie: Oh my…

CUT TO:Bolthouse Offices

They go inside.

Elodie: What are you guys gonna do now?

Heidi: I don’t know. I guess…not really friends…I don’t know. (They walk up stairs)

Elodie: I mean, do you even care?

Heidi: I mean, I do…

Elodie: Like do you miss her?

Heidi: I mean, only to an extent. It’s like, you know, she hates my boyfriend…

Elodie: Yeah.

Heidi: Hates my life.

Elodie: It’s more drama than anything.

Heidi: Yeah. It’s like I’m not…

Elodie: And then for Audrina just to take her side.

Heidi: I’m not a catty girl and I’m not…you know, I don’t have time for this.

Elodie: Forget it.

CUT TO:Teen Vogue Offices

Whitney is already there when Lauren comes in.

Whitney: Hello.

Lauren: How are you?

Whitney: I’m good. How are you?

Lauren: (Sits down) Good.

Whitney: You look pretty.

Lauren: Thank you. I like your jacket.

Whitney: Thank you.

Lauren: Did you go out last night?

Whitney: No actually. I took the night off. Did you?

Lauren: It was Frankie’s birthday.

Whitney: Oh yeah? Did you have a good time?

Lauren: It was all right. I got in a fight with Heidi though.

Whitney: Heidi was there? (Lauren nods) Was there a confrontation?

Lauren: She was like ‘I don’t understand why you’re mad at me’.

Whitney: WTF.

Lauren: And she just won’t take any responsibility for it. It’s sad that you know I lost her as a friend. It’s sad the things she did to me.

Whitney: Mm-hmm. But maybe you haven’t lost her forever.

Lauren: I don’t want a friend that I know I will never trust again.

Whitney: Right. You know I feel like lately, or at least since I’ve known you, it’s been really difficult with friends. Like you’ve had a lot of problems with friends.

Lauren: I’m lucky that I have Lo that moved back and I have you know, you at work…

Whitney: Yeah.

Lauren: And I have Audrina in my apartment.

Whitney: Right.

Lauren: I literally feel like one of my friends died. You know what I mean?

Whitney: Yeah.

Lauren: Like that friend, is gone.

Whitney: So sad.

Lauren; She’s just not a part of my life anymore. Maybe that’s a good thing.

Whitney: Yeah and maybe you’ll be better off, you know?

Lauren: I am so far. (It then shows a sky view of LA)
