Previously this season of The Hills…

Lauren: (V.O.) I never would have guessed that my life could change as much as it has since I moved to LA.

Jason: It’s not just like that easy to like not see you.

Lauren: I know but it’s harder to see you.

Lauren: (V.O.) After breaking up with Jason, and risking my standing at Teen Vogue…

Lisa: Lauren didn’t go to Paris. Do you regret that decision? (Lauren nods)

Lauren: (V.O.) I had to watch my best friend get more and more involved with the wrong guy.

Kristen: Spencer. He walked in with two blond bimbos.

Heidi: What blond bimbos?

Kristen: I don’t know.

Lauren: (V.O.) It was tearing our friendship apart.

Heidi: I feel like I have to choose between you and Spencer. It’s like…

Lauren: You don’t have to choose. But you have chosen.

Lauren: (V.O.) But I was moving on. I had new responsibilities at work, was dating new guys…

Brody: I’m glad you came.

Lauren: (V.O.) I was learning who my real friends were.

Lauren: It wasn’t all Brody. It was you!

Lauren: (V.O.) And now Whitney was headed to New York to compete for a full time job at Teen Vogue.

Whitney: I feel like I am really ready for this responsibility.

Lauren: (V.O.) While Audrina and I had become closer, Heidi and I were growing further apart.

Lauren: You know that it’s not gonna be okay until you and Spencer are broken up. Like we don’t have any problems without him.

Lauren: (V.O.) And to make matters worse, Spencer was pressuring Heidi to move in with him.

Heidi: Why now? Why are you…?

Spencer: I’ve been waiting! We’ve been talking about for over a month!

Heidi: Well my answer is no.

Spencer: Sweet, my answer is get out of my car.

Lauren: (V.O.) For a minute, we all thought they were done. But knowing Heidi, something tells me it’s not over yet. CUT TO: Hillside Villas

Lauren is sitting on the couch reading when Heidi comes in. She comes upstairs from her room, because of her fight with Spencer, she stayed there the night before.

Heidi: Good morning. (Sits down on the couch)

Lauren: What are you doing here?

Heidi: Um, I slept here last night.

Lauren: That’s a first. (Closes her book and puts it down)

Heidi: Got in a little bit of a fight with Spencer so I stayed in.

Lauren: What about?

Heidi: He um, asked me to move in with him again.

Lauren: Do you want to move in with him?

Heidi: I don’t know. I want to make like a rational decision. Not like ‘Oh great let’s just move in’ ‘cause like his whole logic is like ‘Why wouldn’t you want to move in with me?’ like ‘You don’t wanna move the relationship forward?’

Lauren: Because people don’t just move in together…

Heidi: I know.

Lauren:…That soon like…you told me at the beginning of this relationship,  you said, ‘I will never move in with someone unless I’ve been dating them for at least two years’.
Heidi: Yeah.

Lauren: Like you said that to me.

Heidi: I know.

Lauren: I don’t know. Do you really wanna just change everything you believe in because some guy’s pressuring you?

Heidi: It’s not like I don’t wanna live with him ‘cause obviously I do, you know?

Lauren: What is your reason for not moving in with him?

Heidi: You know, I’m living with you and I don’t want, you know, to move out. It’s like…

Lauren: Well don’t let me be your excuse ‘cause I mean you don’t even live with me. I live with your stuff. CUT TO: Opening CreditsCUT TO: New York City – Teen Vogue Headquarters

Whitney gets out of a limo and goes inside. CUT TO: Inside Teen Vogue Headquarters

Whitney is sitting, waiting, when Emily comes in.

Emily: Hey.

Whitney: Hi.

Emily: Hi. (Whitney gets up) How are you? (She hugs Whitney)

Whitney: Good how are you?

Emily: Good. Nice to see you.

Whitney: You too.

Emily: Welcome to the Big Apple.

Whitney: Thank you. (Picks up papers)

Emily: Your resume?

Whitney: Resume and everything.

Emily: All your things?

Whitney: Yeah. (Emily starts to lead her to Amy’s office, where she’ll be interviewed)

Emily: Come on in.

Whitney: Thank you.

Emily: How was your flight?

Whitney: It was good, it was easy.

Emily: Uh huh. So are you nervous?

Whitney: I am nervous. Job interviews are so scary.

Emily: Right. (Emily leaves as Whitney goes in a room. Inside the room is Amy Astley, editor in chief of Teen Vogue, and Whitney’s interviewer)

Whitney: Hi.

Amy: Hi Whitney. Nice to see you again.

Whitney: Nice to meet you. (They shakes hands)

Amy: How are you?

Whitney: I’m great. How are you?

Amy: Good, great. Have a seat. (Whitney sits down, as does Amy)CUT TO: LA – Bolthouse Offices

Heidi is talking with Elodie and Kristen about Spencer.

Elodie: Well I can’t believe he gave you that ultimatum.

Heidi: I can’t believe it either.

Elodie: I mean after everything he’s done to you, I can’t believe you’re still with him and that you’re even considering moving in with him.

Heidi: I think we’re like technically broken up right now.

Kristen: Because you wouldn’t move in with him?

Elodie: What a jerk.

Heidi: I don’t even know.

Kristen: Does any part of you want to really move in with him and like try and like…?

Heidi: I mean…most of me, you know, really wants to move in and try. But there’s a big part of me that’s just like ‘What’s the rush?’ I mean who’s the first guy that you guys lived with?

Elodie: Never lived with a guy.

Heidi: Never lived with a guy?

Elodie: Well that’s ‘cause my boyfriend lives with his brother and he’s obsessed with him so he’s never gonna move out.

Heidi: Okay. (They all laugh) Okay.

Kristen: I’ve lived with almost every boyfriend I’ve had.

Heidi: And?

Kristen: It’s…it’s not always a good thing.

Heidi: I don’t know. It’s one of those decisions where you’re like ‘How will you ever know if you’re right or wrong? How will you ever know if it’s the right decision or not, unless you do it?’ You know?

Elodie: We’re your friends, we’re gonna support you no matter what. But that’s why we’re giving you our honest opinion. I still don’t think you should move in with him. (Kristen shakes her head in agreement) CUT TO: New York City – Teen Vogue Headquarters

Whitney’s Interview with Amy Astley.

Amy: What we look for is that one or two very special people, who can really know everything that is happening in LA before it happens.

Whitney: Okay.

Amy; So I would love if you could give me a little bit of input into what photographers you like, what designers you like, so I’ll have more of a sense of you, your visual taste.

Whitney: Okay. Bruce Weber is the favorite of the magazine, as well as mine.

Amy: Right.

Whitney: Mario Tutsenio.

Amy: He’s always flattering.

Whitney: Yeah always.

Amy: Girl always looks great.

Whitney: Yeah.

Amy: And what about designers you love?

Whitney: Designers I love…I love um, Balensiaga…

Amy: Mm-hmm.

Whitney: I love YSL…I mean those are obviously not clothes I can afford but just looking at them, just being in the presence of them, is just amazing.

Amy: Fantastic. Is this what you really want to do, Whitney?

Whitney: Yes. Most definitely.

Amy: You wanna be a fashion stylist or fashion editor?

Whitney: Most definitely. Yes.

Amy: You love it?

Whitney: I love it.

Amy: You love clothes?

Whitney: Love clothes.

Amy: Well listen, I don’t really have any more questions for you.

Whitney: Okay.

Amy: You know we’re interviewing several girls for the job.

Whitney: Mm-hmm.

Amy: It’s one position. Lot of competition.

Whitney: Mm-hmm.

Amy: But we’ll definitely be in touch with you soon.

Whitney: Okay great.

Amy: Okay?

Whitney: All right.

Amy: Nice to see you

Whitney: (They both get up) Thank you so much.

Amy: (They shake hands) Take care. Have a safe trip back to LA.

Whitney: Thank you.

Amy: Bye bye.

Whitney: Thank you. (She gets her stuff and leaves) CUT TO: LA – Bolthouse Offices

Heidi is at her desk when her phone rings. She answers it and it is Spencer.

Heidi: Hello?

Spencer: What up, sweetheart?

Heidi: Hey Spence. What are you doing? (Kristen looks at her when she hears Spencer’s name)

Spencer: I need to come meet me. We need to talk.

Heidi: Why?

Spencer: I can’t tell you. It’s a surprise.

Heidi: Well maybe I can’t go if you can’t tell me.

Spencer: Heidi, come on. Just meet me. I have a huge surprise for you. (Elodie looks at her)

Heidi: Okay fine. Where are you?

Spencer: I’ll text you the address. Just come here.

Heidi: Okay.

Spencer: Come meet me. It’s gonna be great.

Heidi: Okay, all right. Bye. (She hangs up. She gets up to go meet Spencer)

Elodie: Where are you going?

Heidi: Um…just break. I’ll be right back. (She leaves. Elodie and Kristen look at each other, shaking their heads and Elodie rolls her eyes, because they know she’s going to see Spencer)CUT TO: Apartment

Spencer is waiting for Heidi. She pulls up in her car. She parks behind his and opens the door and gets out. He gets up and approaches her.

Heidi: What’s this all about?

Spencer: A little surprise, little surprise.

Heidi: Surprise… (He hugs her)

Spencer: Give me a hug.

Heidi: Oh you’re excited to see me. (He kisses her)

Spencer: (Takes her hand as they walk up the stairs) Just a little irritated the other day. This is the surprise. Come on. (They go inside the apartment) Drumroll please. (He imitates a drumroll) CUT TO: Inside Apartment

Spencer opens the door and leads her in.

Spencer: Okay. Here’s your surprise. Oh, oh wait. You’re already walking past. We got a skylight right here. (He shuts the door) Kitchen. (They go into the kitchen) You don’t look too excited. A little shocked. (They keep on walking through the apartment)

Heidi: I mean…last time I talked to you, you were just kinda like ‘Get outta my car’. (She puts her purse on the shelf near the kitchen area)

Spencer: Oh it was get outta my car.

Heidi: I know. I just thought…

Spencer: I was frustrated when with the fact that we’ve been arguing about this. Just don’t understand…(They start walking around again) why it’s difficult for you to not live with Lauren and come live here. That’s why I got us this place.

Heidi: Well it’s really nice. I…you know? (He nods)

Spencer: This is uh, your new bedroom. (They go into a room) We can fit a nice uh, California king right here in the middle. (Cuts to them on the balcony) Check out the balcony now.

Heidi: Oh my god.

Spencer: Oh yes.

Heidi: All of Hollywood is right here.

Spencer: Right here, looking down on it. (Points) We got Les Deux right there, (Points again) Blowfish right there…(She puts her hand over her eyes to see) We got Don Antonio’s way down there. (Points way far away and they laugh) So? You sold?

Heidi: If I do this with you, you’re gonna be serious, right? No more messing around? No Playmates? No any of that? It’s gonna be me and you here, right?

Spencer: Deal.

Heidi: I don’t want any of those things to happen again, you know? I want this to be a serious…

Spencer: A night in a club with a bunch of girls it’s not like…

Heidi: I’m just saying, is a night in a club with a bunch of girls gonna happen again, if you think it’s no big deal?

Spencer: Um…it will not happen again.

Heidi: Okay. Promise me that.

Spencer: I…swear. I mean, I’m not trying to move in with you for any other reason than to be with you more. It’s like…

Heidi: Okay. Let’s um, let’s do it. Let’s move in.

Spencer: In this apartment with me?

Heidi: Yeah, I’m gonna move in. (They high five. She laughs and he hugs her.) All right then. You know, I think this’ll be really good. CUT TO: Hillside Villas

Lauren is in the kitchen when Heidi comes in.

Heidi: Hi.

Lauren: Hello.

Heidi: What are you doing?

Lauren: Just about to leave for work.

Heidi: Um…I stayed at Spencer’s last night.

Lauren: Yeah I figured. You didn’t come home.

Heidi: Yeah. (She laughs)

Lauren: So I’m assuming you made up?

Heidi: He was like ‘Hey can you meet me at this place?’ And I went there. And he surprised me with this apartment.

Lauren: He got an apartment?

Heidi: Yeah he was like ‘You can move in here if you want’. If I want to live with him, then I should…you know? Just like he said…so…

Lauren: So you’re moving out?

Heidi: Yeah so…

Lauren: Okay. Do you know when you’re moving out?

Heidi: Um…I think…kinda soon.

Lauren: Well you have to let me know ‘cause I have to start looking for a new roommate…

Heidi: Yeah.

Lauren: And to let ‘em know when to move in.

Heidi: Well that’s exciting.

Lauren: Yeah.

Heidi: A new roommate who will be here all the time.

Lauren: Mm-hmm.

Heidi: Oh my gosh. But the apartment’s so nice. And really high ceilings.

Lauren: That sounds like everything’s perfect.

Heidi: I know, after a hard year, it’s a good step.

Lauren: What could go wrong?

Heidi: Yeah so…(Lauren dumps out her cup)

Lauren: I’m gonna go to work. Well congratulations. (Lauren opens the door and leaves) CUT TO: Brody’s Condo

Spencer and Brody are sitting, talking.

Brody: Damn. You’re not moving out. You’re getting married is basically what you’re saying.

Spencer: No ‘cause if I was getting married, I’d have to buy a ring. I’m not buying a ring.

Brody: Why even move in? Why not just keep it the way it is? Live here and just keep seeing her like you are? Why do you have to move in with her?

Spencer: ‘Cause I don’t want her living with Lauren. As long as Lauren’s in that girl’s life, we’re gonna have fights. ‘Cause any time that girl comes around, there’s al…automatically a problem ‘cause she hates me.

Brody: What, we gotta plan…we have to like plan this in advance for the boys to go out and party and hang out or…?

Spencer: No just call the homeboy phone. (Shows him the phone) It’s right here.

Brody: (Laughs) The homeboy phone?

Spencer: I got the girlfriend phone, I got the homeboy phone. (Brody laughs) Just hit that one up, you’re covered. I was born a player, dog that’s what I do. I’m not gonna change. Spencer’s Spencer.

Brody: Playboy Spence. (Brody laughs)

Spencer: Still the man.

Brody: You are gonna be outta there so fast. (Spencer laughs) CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Lauren calls Whitney.

Whitney: Hello?

Lauren: Whitney…

Whitney: Hi. How are you?

Lauren: I’m okay. How’s New York?

Whitney: It’s so cold here.

Lauren: You okay?

Whitney: Yeah I’ll be fine. So what’s up?

Lauren: So I talked to Heidi and she gave me official notice that she’s like definitely moving out now and moving in with Spencer.

Whitney: Oh my gosh. Are you serious?

Lauren: Mm-hmm.

Whitney: Oh my gosh.

Lauren: Oh wait. I forgot to ask you. How did your interview go?

Whitney: I haven’t heard anything yet. We’ll see.

Lauren: I’m sure you did great. That is so exciting. When do you get back?

Whitney: Um…I’ll be back tomorrow morning.

Lauren: Call me the second you come back. I wanna hear sooner.

Whitney: Okay definitely.

Lauren: Okay have a safe flight. I’ll see you when you get back.

Whitney: Okay bye. CUT TO: Hillside Villas

Lauren walks down the hall. We see some of Heidi’s stuff sitting outside the door. Lauren opens the door and go inside. Heidi is taping up a box. There are boxes of her stuff everywhere.

Lauren: Hi. What are you doing?

Heidi: Un, just packing. I’m moving today.

Lauren: You’re moving today?

Heidi: Yeah. Today. I just thought I’d get started.

Lauren: I didn’t know you were moving today.

Heidi: Yeah. (Lauren sits down on the couch) So…I feel like it’s a break-up almost, you know? It’s like moving out, separating our stuff. Um…I definitely think since I’m moving out, I need to make, you know more of…like Taco Tuesday and like really come every Tuesday.

Lauren: But what’s the difference between you moving out? You don’t do it now and you live with me.

Heidi: But like I want to make sure I do, you know?

Lauren: Well I mean it’s…ball’s in your court. If you want to make an effort, that’s fine.

Heidi: Well I don’t want it to be like I move out and that’s the end of…you know? It’s not like that at all.

Lauren: It might be though, Heidi. You’re with somebody you really love and like I’m really glad that you’re happy but…

Heidi: yeah.

Lauren: You’re not gonna be able to have both when you move in with him. I mean it sucks and it makes me sad because like you were my best friend that I moved here with.

Heidi: Well I’d like to still try and make an effort so…but really make one.

Lauren: Okay. No I mean it’s nice to hear. It’s just like we’ll see. (Cut to outside. The truck is all packed. Spencer is closing the back)

Spencer: Ha ha. Let’s rock and roll. (He gets inside the tuck. Heidi walks over to Lauren to say goodbye to her)

Lauren: Well let me know if you need help.

Heidi: Yeah for sure.

Lauren: K.

Heidi: Yeah.

Lauren: And you know you can always come back. I mean, you know, I hope that this works but I’m saying if it doesn’t…

Heidi: Yeah. Okay well I guess…get going.

Lauren: Okay. I love you. (They hug)

Heidi: I love you. Okay. (Heidi gets in the truck with Spencer)

Spencer: What’s wrong? You look so serious. You won’t regret this, I promise you. This is the best choice ever. (She doesn’t say anything, she just looks sadly out the window) You ready to go?

Heidi: Yeah, let’s go.

Spencer: You sure?

Heidi: Yeah.

Spencer: All right. (He starts the truck ands they drive away, with Lauren watching. As they do, we see Heidi’s sad face in the rearview mirror, almost looking like she is looking at Lauren. When they are gone, Lauren goes back inside Hillside Villas) CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices

Heidi is at her desk, looking through papers when Elodie approaches, now with brown hair.

Heidi: Oh my god. Your hair looks so good.

Elodie: You like it?

Heidi: I love it.

Elodie: Really?

Heidi: It looks so pretty.

Elodie: Thank you. It was a big change.

Heidi: Yeah for sure. That’s a life changing thing.

Elodie: Yeah.

Heidi: Oh my god.

Elodie: How are you?

Heidi: Good. Speaking of life changing um…

Elodie: Yeah?

Heidi: I moved in with Spencer.

Elodie: After all my grown up advice to you and you didn’t do what I said?

Heidi: it’s good though because it was like the advice I needed to hear to make the decision I did, you know? It’s like I’m really happy though. I’m gonna cook him dinner tonight.

Elodie: Tonight?

Heidi: Like a first…I never cooked for him before. This is like our first romantic…

Elodie: Have you ever cooked dinner?

Heidi: No. (She laughs)

Elodie: Oh my gosh.

Heidi: I know.

Elodie: What are you cooking?

Heidi: I think pasta or something easy.

Elodie: I mean, do you even have all of the equipment to cook…what’s it called?

Heidi: Oh my god. No, I have to go get it.

Elodie: What’s it called?

Heidi: Dinner.

Elodie: No.

Heidi What? Pasta? (Elodie laughs) What?

Elodie: The equipment to cook like…Oh…pots and pans.

Heidi: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have to go get all that.

Elodie: Oh okay. Well good luck with that.

Heidi: I know. (She laughs)

Elodie: And good luck with dinner tonight.

Heidi: Thank you. If I need anything or if the kitchen’s on fire, I’m calling you.

Elodie: All right. Bye.

Heidi: Bye. (Elodie walks away, clearly thinking Heidi made a mistake by choosing to move in with Spencer)CUT TO: That Night – Hillside Villas

Lauren comes in after a day at work. We seem boxes everywhere, meaning Lauren has found a new roommate. She has pizza and champagne with her. She puts the pizza and champagne down on the table and puts her purse on the floor. She goes in a cabinet in the kitchen and gets two glasses. She picks up the pizza and champagne and brings them and the glasses over to the table by the couch. Lauren’s new roommate comes downstairs and it is…

Audrina: Hey roommie.

Lauren: Surprise!

Audrina: You brought pizza and champagne?

Lauren: Mm-hmm. Best combo ever.

Audrina: How was your day at work? (Sits next to Lauren on the couch as Lauren starts to open the champagne)

Lauren: It was good. You’ve already moved like chairs and stuff in here.

Audrina: I know. I finally got two of my chairs and there’s boxes everywhere.

Lauren: I brought us a very elegant dinner. (She laughs)

Audrina: I love it.

Lauren: It’s to celebrate our first night together as roommates. (She starts to pop open the cork on the champagne)

Audrina: Oh…you’re so nice. (Points) Do it that way Lauren. (She does and it goes everywhere) Oh my god. (They both scream) Oh my god. All my boxes are wet. (They laugh) CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Spencer is lying on the floor. Heidi slides over to him and falls next to him. He puts his arms around her.

Heidi: I definitely think I made the right choice.

Spencer: I can promise you made the right choice. (They laugh.) I love you.

Heidi: I love you. (She leans down and kisses him. Then he hugs her) CUT TO: Hillside Villas

Lauren: It’s kinda weird though, like not having Heidi in our apartment anymore. But you know…I have another great friend to live with and I’m sure she’s really happy so…good for her.

Audrina: What if she breaks up with Spencer and comes back and she expects everything to be the same and…

Lauren: But you know what? It kinda would be.CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

They are eating dinner.

Spencer: I think you moving out is gonna be the best thing for your guys’ relationship ever. I feel like one day without Heidi makes me go crazy. Lauren’s gotta be going crazy without you.  (Heidi nods) CUT TO: Hillside Villas

Their glasses are now full of champagne. They hold up their glasses to do a toast.

Lauren: Toast.

Audrina: Cheers.

Lauren: To my new roommate. There’s no one I’d rather live with. (They do cheers)

Audrina: Aw…

Lauren: Cheers. CUT TO: Heidi & Spencer’s Apartment

Spencer: I’m still a little mad that it took you this long to move in.

Heidi: You know, I made a rule for myself and I wasn’t going to move in with anyone that I hadn’t been in a relationship with for like two years. So…don’t make me regret this, Spencer. (It shows them and the room they’re in, in the apartment. They are sitting on the floor, with boxes and other stuff in the room. Then it shows the city of LA, all lit up)
