Lauren: (V.O.) I had a great Christmas with Jason.

Heidi: Oh!

Jason: She still like answers his phone calls.

Lauren: Now he’s mad at me. Hey, why are you mad at me?

Lauren: (V.O.) But when I got a call from another guy on New Years’, we had our biggest fight yet.

Lauren: I apologized. What do you want?

Jason: You keep making mistakes over and over Lauren.

Heidi: Why is he yelling at you?

Lauren: Because some guy called me.

Lauren: (V.O.) We barely made up before midnight. But I finally got my New Year’s kiss. I wanted to put it all past us. Because it was my twentieth birthday. Jason was planning a romantic night. And now, my only problem was figuring out what to wear.

CUT TO: Streets of LA

Lauren, Whitney, Heidi and Audrina are walking down the street, shopping.

Whitney: Sunglass time.

Lauren: I know, right?

Whitney: Guys, I’m glad I’m skipping school for this day.

Heidi: I love ditching. It’s like a thing I love.

Lauren: She loves ditching so much she permanently ditched school.

Heidi: I did.

Lauren: I have to find a pretty birthday dress.

Whitney: I feel like LA, anything goes.

Heidi: (They pass a bridal shop) Hey guys, let’s go try on wedding dresses. Come on. (They go inside the bridal shop)

Whitney: Are we all trying them on for real?

Heidi: Mm-hmm.

Audrina: (Wearing a green dress too big for her) Yes. I feel like my boobs are too big for this.

Heidi: (Dancing around) La, la, la! (Lauren comes out in a wedding dress) Oh!

Whitney: Oh my god. You actually look beautiful like…

Heidi: Yeah surprisingly.

Lauren: Surprisingly?

Heidi: Oh you look so beautiful.

Audrina: You do look really pretty. (Cuts to them leaving)

Lauren: ‘What’d you do today?’ ‘Nothing’.

Heidi: Nothing, nothing to do with wedding dresses okay?

CUT TO: Opening Credits

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Blaine: Lisa? Here you go. (Lisa looks up as Lauren and Whitney come in) 

Lisa: Hey, hi.

Whitney: Hi.

Lisa: How are you?

Whitney: Good, how are you?

Lisa: Good, good.

Whitney: Sit down?

Lisa: Sure, sure. (Lauren and Whitney sit down) Um, next week Laura Banomo, who’s our, uh, model booker, is coming to town. And she’s gonna do a casting of uh, models for a bathing suit story we’re working on. It’s uh, called ‘A Go See’ in our business. You’ll set up um, a casting. What I’d like you to do is call as many agencies, go on as many web sites. Let’s get as many pictures of boys that you think are right.

Whitney: Is there a certain kind of look? Like surfer kind of look?

Lisa: You’re gonna be looking for seventeen to twenty year old boy bathing suit models. (Lauren and Whitney start talking to each other and laughing. Lisa gives them a ‘look’ and they stop) Behave accordingly. All right?

Lauren & Whitney: Okay.

CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices

Heidi is working at her computer when Brent calls her.

Brent: Hey Heidi!

Heidi: Mm-hmm?

Brent: Will you come in here? Please? (Heidi enters Brent’s office) Will you shut the door?

Heidi: Mm-hmm. (Shuts the door and sits down)

Brent: Okay so tonight we have our William Morris Grammy party. You’re gonna work at LAX.

Heidi: Mm-hmm.

Brent: But none of us are gonna be there. Jennifer’s not there. It’s gonna be like you, Grace, it’s almost like we’re competing against ourselves. So we literally have to make sure that LAX is great tonight.

Heidi: Right.

Brent: So what I was thinking is maybe you should call some of our girlfriends, invite some people down that you know.

Heidi: To LAX.

Brent: Grace is calling extra people.

Heidi: Okay so it’s gonna be me and Grace.

Brent: You and Grace doing everything. All right.

Heidi: (Gets up) Is that it?

Brent: Anything else? No I think that’s good. I want a full report tomorrow.

Heidi: You’ll get one.

Brent: Okay.

Heidi: Okay.

Brent: Thanks Heidi. (She leaves)

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Lauren is on the computer, looking for male models for the shoot, while Whitney is on the phone, calling agencies.

Whitney: Oh okay yeah, send an e-mail. That’s awesome. Thank you so much. All right, bye. (Hangs up the phone) Okay so we have Ford, Will, and Nina.

Blaine: (Comes in) Cards come in?

Whitney: Um not yet. But we have some questions. For the um, call sheet, do you already know what studio the um, ‘Go See’ is?

Blaine: It will be at Quixote Studios.

Whitney: It will be. Okay.

Lauren: Oh that’s where Audrina works.

Blaine: Okay?

Whitney: Uh huh.

Blaine: Cool thank you. (He leaves)

Whitney: So that’ll be fun. She’ll be there when we’re there.

Lauren: Mm-hmm.

Whitney: That’s so cool.

Lauren: Hey Whitney. You wanna see the LA models? (Moves the computer screen so Whitney can see it)

Whitney: Let’s look at the men. (Points at one) Oh he’s kinda cute. (Lauren clicks on another’s picture) This guy’s hot.

Lauren & Whitney: Enrique!

Whitney: Enrique! Ooh. He’s cute but…

Lauren: You don’t like him?

Whitney: No I do. I like all these guys.

Lauren: Do you want me to leave you alone for a little bit? (They both laugh)

CUT TO: That Night – LAX NightClub

Lauren and Jason show up, and talk to Heidi before going in.

Heidi: Hi. (Hugs Lauren) Thanks for coming and not disappointing me. (To Grace) Okay, you wanna take ‘em in? (To Lauren & Jason) Bye guys. That’s all I’m gonna see you for the night.

Lauren: We’ll be out here.

Heidi: All right. All right buh bye.

CUT TO: Inside LAX

Lauren and Jason sit down at a table.

Lauren: Babe, you gonna give me a kiss? (Jason & Lauren kiss. It shows that Jordan and Audrina are also sitting with them)

Jason: How’s work going and stuff?

Lauren: (Points at Audrina) We rented out one of her stages. We’re scouting models for a…for like a swimsuit…bathing suit model. (Points at Audrina again) And it’s at her work.

Jason: What kind of models?

Lauren: Like, girl swimsuit models.

Jason: Isn’t there gonna be dudes? I don’t understand what you’re doing.

Lauren: I don’t know, baby. I just know that I called girls between a certain age.

Jason: No buff dudes?

Lauren: I got all girls. I called all the agencies, all girls.

Jason: I was just asking.

CUT TO: Hillside Villas

Lauren is on the floor, looking through a magazine while Heidi sits on the couch.

Heidi: You know the last two nights I’ve slept a total of six hours, about?

Lauren: But that’s your job. You need to like…do you ever nap in the day?

Heidi: No. I work in the day.

Lauren: You’re a full time worker.

Heidi: I am.

Lauren: Remember I told you about the modeling call?

Heidi: No you didn’t tell me about it.

Lauren: We’re doing a modeling call for a bathing suit shoot.

Heidi: For guys or for girls?

Lauren: For both. I told Jason it was only girls. So he’s gonna get mad at me. But why? They’re like young guys.

Heidi: Are they kids?

Lauren: They’re not kids. They’re like guy models.

Heidi: He’s gonna get mad at you.

CUT TO: The Next Day – Quixote Studios

Lauren and Whitney are taking stuff for the casting call out of Lauren’s car. Cuts to inside.

Audrina: Hi.

Lauren & Whitney: Hi.

Audrina: You guys look cute.

Whitney: Thanks so do you.

Audrina: Thank you. Welcome to my work.

Whitney: Oh my god.

Audrina: I’ll show you where your stage is.

Lauren: Okay.

Whitney: Okay.

It cuts to the stage

Audrina: You guys are in here. I know it’s right next to me. (Lauren & Whitney walk in)

Whitney: Yeah it’s so trippy. (Lauren runs up to the back)

Audrina: How far back?

Lauren: How far back? (She laughs. Takes pictures of Whitney) Smile.

Whitney: Hi, my name’s Whitney.

Lauren: Tell me a little bit about yourself.

Whitney: Okay. My name is Whitney and I’m from…

Lauren: Yeah it still doesn’t work.

Whitney: It doesn’t work?

Lauren: No. (It cuts to them setting up. Whitney lifts up a board)

Whitney: Oh and then you put this…You’re a genius. I’m so bad at this stuff. Does that work?

Lauren: Yeah. (Blaine and Lara come in)

Woman: Hi. 

Blaine: Hello.

Lauren & Whitney: Hello Blaine.

Blaine: How you guys doing?

Lauren: Good.

Whitney: Good.

Blaine: Set up? Looks good looks great.

Lara: It looks excellent.

Blaine: This is a pretty intense casting set up.

Lauren: Yeah.

Blaine: I like it. Good work.

CUT TO: Audrina’s Desk

Models for the casting call walk in.

Audrina: Hi. Are you for the Teen Vogue casting?

Man: Yes I am.

Audrina: (Points) it’s right in this room.

Man: Okay thanks.

Audrina: You’re welcome

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Casting

We see many shirtless men. Lauren & Whitney are taking their pictures.

Whitney: (To a model) Um…I would take off your shirt. (The model takes off his shirt) (To another model) Wanna take your shirt off?

Model: Hell yeah.

Whitney: (Laughs) Okay.

Lauren: God, you’re such a perv, Whitney.

Whitney: (Laughs) Sorry.

Lauren: (To model) Okay um, look at me. Straight on, straight on. Serious. (Takes his pictures) And smile. (Takes another picture. Shows Whitney the picture and she laughs)

Whitney: Oh!

CUT TO: The Casting

Blaine and the others are interviewing models.

Blaine: How long you been in LA?

Model: About six months or so.

Blaine: You like it?

Model: Yeah it’s cool, definitely.

Blaine: Come out here to act, model, the whole deal?

Model: Yeah pretty much. That and music.

CUT TO: Backstage

Audrina is talking to a model named Brad.

Audrina: What are you guys all doing tonight?

Brad: I don’t know, not too sure. It’s Friday night.

Audrina: Well we’re all going to Bella, like around eight, eight-thirty.

Brad: Well if you give me a number. If you give me the right number.

Audrina: I’ll give you the reject number. (Shakes his hand) Well nice meeting you.

Brad: See you.

Audrina: Okay.

Brad: Bye.

Audrina: Bye. (Brad leaves)

CUT TO: Casting

They’re interviewing another model.

Blaine: Perfect.

Lara: You are good, brah.

Blaine: Thanks dude.

Lara: Thanks man.

Model: (Gets up) Thank you.

Blaine: Thanks for coming in. (Shakes his hand)

Model: Nice meeting you.

Whitney: (Laughs) He was really cute.

Blaine: How’s it going in there? Are there people waiting?

Whitney: Yeah a lot.

CUT TO: Backstage

Lauren is looking through the models’ pictures.

It cuts to Whitney talking to a model.

Model: How long have you been doing this internship?

Whitney: Um, since like September.

Model: Where’s the party at tonight?

Whitney: Um, I don’t know. (Laughs) Where’s your party at tonight?

Model: I’m gonna be all over. (She laughs) I’m gonna be everywhere.

CUT TO: Casting

Whitney and Lauren walk in.

Whitney: Hello we’re finished.

Blaine: That’s it?

Whitney: Yeah.

Blaine: Amazing. Good work today. (Cuts to Lauren and Whitney leaving)

Whitney: Okay.

Audrina: You guys are done?

Whitney: Yeah. (They all laugh)

Whitney: We’ll see you tonight?

Audrina: Yeah. Bye.

Whitney: Bye.

Lauren: Bye.

CUT TO: That Night – Bella Restaurant

Heidi, Lauren, Audrina and Whitney are sitting at a table, talking about the model scout.

Heidi: Oh my god, tell me about the model scout.

Lauren: Oh, one of the models, it was really funny. He wanted to leave and I was like ‘You can’t leave yet’. (To Audrina) And you came in and I was like ‘This is Audrina’.

Whitney: She pointed him out. She’s like ‘The one in the white shirt’. And so I wrote a little note to Lauren.

Lauren: It was cute though ‘cause…and then you like started talking.

Audrina: He might come tonight. I don’t know.

Whitney: He was really cute.

Audrina: So we’ll see.

Lauren: Whitney was like…all the models like ‘Yeah take off your shirt, baby’. ‘He’s my favorite, I’ll take down his number’. (Whitney laughs)

Whitney: (As they eat) That is delicious. Oh my god. (Heidi wipes her mouth for her) Thank you.

Audrina: (To Lauren) I don’t know, like the pretty boys are nice to hang with or whatever but they’re boring. That’s why I like that mysterious like, you know? I always go for the bad boy. You do too.

Lauren: Jason’s not a bad boy. I like that he’s a little more rough around the edges, you know what I mean? (We then see that Audrina’s model and his friend are at the bar)

Audrina: Oh my god. He’s over at the bar. (Lauren stands up and looks) I’m gonna go say hi. (To Lauren) Want to come with or no?

Lauren: (Gets up so Audrina can) No you’re all over this.

Heidi: Bring him back.

Audrina: You want to meet him? I’ll bring him back.

Heidi: Bring him back. (Audrina goes over to Brad and his friend)

Brad: (Sees Audrina) Hey.

Audrina: Hi. (Hugs him)

Brad: How you doing?

Audrina: How are you?

Brad: Good.

Heidi: What is his friend wearing?

Audrina: (Brad follows her) Come over here.

All: (As Brad comes over) Hi.

Lauren: (Shakes his hand) I’m Lauren. (They all make room for Audrina and Brad)

Brad: (To Audrina) So what are you doing out here?

Audrina: Well I moved up here to pursue modeling and acting more.

Brad: So where you all going after this?

Audrina: We’ll see. (Laughs)

CUT TO: Brain & Jordan’s Apartment

Brian, Jordan & Jason are there, talking and drinking.

Jordan: (To Brian) Can you uh, fix me a glass?

Brian: Ooh I have an idea. I’m gonna mix, I’m gonna mix orange Gatorade with orange soda. Sometimes with Jordan you gotta make things kinda girly in life. (Jordan pours more Gatorade in his drink and they all laugh) First thing he does is put more Gatorade in it.

Jordan: Guys, guys…got a body like me, gotta you know…

Brian: Oh my god.

Jordan: Gotta love it.

Brian: We were joking around, Audrina’s got like more like, she’s always got like a new guy or a new date.

Jordan: Random guys. I mean…

Brian: I don’t do that.

Jordan: From one extreme to the other extreme. There’s a Teen Vogue casting for like a bunch of male models.

Jason: Wait, when and where was this?

Jordan: Quixote Studios, where uh, Audrina works. There were all these guys.

Jason: What kind of guys were they?

Brian: I don’t know. I just find it funny when people are like ‘Yeah, I’m a model’. Like, I don’t know. Even when we were in New York City doing that a lot, I’d never say that. Like I don’t even say I was an actor for like my first…(Jason gets up and leaves the room)

CUT TO: The Next Day – Hillside Villas

Heidi and Jordan are doing laundry.

Heidi: Um, did you say something to Jason about there being guys at the Teen Vogue model scout or something?

Jordan: Yes.

Heidi: Why’d you do that?

Jordan: Why would I not say that?

Heidi: What?

Jordan: Their relationship sucks. Lying about guy being at a casting. That’s just retarded. They’re both insecure, immature. It just…they’re not even ready to be in a relationship.

Heidi: It’s so sad if you’re stuck in that.

Jordan: Well…no, no, no.

Heidi: Like New Years’ Eve. That was terrible.

Jordan: What do you mean stuck in it?

Heidi: When you’re stuck in a relationship like that.

Jordan: How do you…how are you stuck in a relationship?

Heidi: Because if you love someone so much but it’s just like…

Jordan: No. I don’t even…No, no, no. They don’t love each other.

Heidi: Yes. You fought with me all the time.

Jordan: How can you love somebody…?

Heidi: We’re fighting right now.

Jordan: Whatever.

CUT TO: Later – Hillside Villas

Heidi is talking with Audrina.

Heidi: I’m so annoyed.

Audrina: Why? What’s wrong?

Heidi: Right on Lauren’s birthday, Jordan has to be like ‘Oh by the way, did you know that there were boys at the photo shoot?’

Audrina: Jordan told Jason that?

Heidi: Yeah.

Audrina: So Jason got pissed off?

Heidi: Yeah so now Jason’s mad and it’s like…

Audrina: If he’s mean to her on her birthday…

Heidi: But it’s like this is her day. You know what I mean? Like you have to know when you say something like that…

Audrina: Jason gets pissed off easily.

Heidi: Good job Jordan. Yeah really freakin’ good job.

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Lauren and Whitney are packing stuff into Lauren’s car.

Lauren: Just push it. There. And then maybe this’ll like fold in the way back? (Takes things off a rack) Um, there. (Puts them in back and gets in the car. Lauren looks at her phone) Uh!

Whitney: Is everything okay?

Lauren: (Closes her phone and starts driving) Jordan just told Jason there was guys at that stupid model thing and I hadn’t told him yet. He…when we went to that club that night, he asked me. He’s like ‘Are there gonna be guys at that model casting?’ And I was like ‘No’. I just never told him.

Whitney: Yeah.

Lauren: And I was gonna tell him and I forgot. I just…uh…it makes me so mad.

Whitney: Well…

Lauren: And like it wasn’t that I was hiding it, it wasn’t that. It was just like…Jason’s just like sensitive so I can’t just be like ‘Oh and there was guys there so don’t be mad’.

Whitney: Right.

Lauren: Because he’ll get mad.

Whitney: Right. Can’t you just call him and be like ‘Dude, it’s my birthday’.

Lauren” No ‘cause I don’t feel like arguing with him. I’m just gonna tell him, be like ‘Be mad at me, I’m not even gonna argue with you’.

Whitney: He needs to get over this little trust ish. Why do you think he’s so sensitive?

Lauren: I just…it’s just like whenever we like all plan a night out, something goes wrong at the end of the day, always. It never fails. (Jason calls her and she answers) Hello? Hey.

Jason: (On the phone) Heard there were boys at your photo shoot, you little liar.

Lauren: Please don’t fight with me right now.

Jason: I wasn’t mad that there were people, like guys, just the fact that you lied about it.

Lauren: I am really sorry baby.

Jason: Baby, I don’t care. I don’t care who’s there.

Lauren: I’m sorry.

Jason: I love you.

Lauren: I love you too.

Jason: Okay bye.

Lauren: Bye. (She hangs up) He handled that well.

Whitney: That was okay.

Lauren: He didn’t even get mad at me.

Whitney: Yay!

CUT TO: Hillside Villas

The doorbell rings.

Heidi: Who is it? (Heidi answers it and it is a woman with flowers for Lauren, from Jason) Hi come in.

Woman: Are you Lauren?

Heidi: (Points at Lauren) No this is Lauren.

Woman: (Hands Lauren the flowers) Here you go.

Lauren: Thank you very much. (The woman leaves. Lauren puts the flowers down and opens the card that is with it)

Heidi: Happy birthday flowers.

Lauren: (Reads the card) ‘Be ready at five, a car will be waiting. Be sure to pack a bag for school. Love, Jason’.

Heidi: Pack a bag for school? What does that mean?

Lauren: That means I won’t be coming back here.

CUT TO: That Night – The Standard Hotel

Lauren gets out of a limo. It cuts to her arriving to a spot from an elevator, with Jason waiting for her. She walks up to him. He hands her a rose and they kiss and hug.

Jason: Happy birthday baby. I got you this rose.

Lauren: Thank you. (It cuts to them walking to a hotel room. They go inside Inside, the room is decorated with roses and candles everywhere)

Jason: Surprise, surprise.

Lauren: Oh…it’s so pretty. (She hugs him and kisses him)

Jason: I’m so hungry. (She laughs) I ordered it for us.

Lauren: Oh did you? (Cuts to her sitting down as Jason serves the food)

Jason: Here you go.

Lauren: Thank you.

Jason: (He sits down) I didn’t know what you wanted, I just got like calamari and stuff so…

Lauren: Thank you.

Jason: Of course. (They start eating) What you want to do the rest of the night?

Lauren: Whatever you want.

Jason: Would you want to go out tonight or you just wanna hang out here?

Lauren: I wanna hang out here.

Jason: Brian’s doing a thing at National.

Lauren: Who is?

Jason: Brian.

Lauren: Mm…if you want to go to National that’s fine. I just thought you’d want to spend my birthday with me.

Jason: I do. Do you wanna go meet up with Heidi and Jordan later?

Lauren: It’s up to you. I don’t care whatever.

Jason: You okay? What’s bugging you?

Lauren: I’m just looking around.

Jason: It’s kinda different. (Laughs) I never thought I’d do something like this. Just kidding.

Lauren: No it’s sweet. I’ve never had anyone do anything like this for me.

Jason: You’re saying you just want to chill and then hang out?

Lauren: You really want go out? I’d rather just spend the night with you.

Jason: No I just wanna hang out with you. I don’t care. What do you wanna do?

Lauren: Just hang out here.

Jason: What’s up?

Lauren: I…Jason look at me. I told you I would rather stay here and…

Jason: Okay.

Lauren: You know?

Jason: Then we can stay here.

Lauren: Okay.

Jason: I don’t understand what you wanna do like do you wanna watch a movie? Do you wanna do something else? I mean…

Lauren: I’ll do whatever. I don’t care. You can’t just be with me?

Jason: I can.

Lauren: Then whatever you want.

Jason: So you just wanna watch a movie then?

Lauren: Mm-hmm. (Cuts to Jason and Lauren lying next to each other on a bed. It cuts to show the city of LA at night)
