Previously on The Hills…

Lauren: (V.O.) A lot had happened since I moved to LA. Jason had come back into my life.

Jason: Seeing as we live in LA now, start fresh.

Lauren: (V.O.) I was happy about that but not everyone was.

Heidi: I will kill him if he does it again.

Lauren: (V.O.) Heidi would have to get over it because Jason and Jordan had already become friends. Meanwhile, Audrina had hooked up with Brian but she was still keeping her options open and I was working on getting everyone together for Jason’s birthday.

CUT TO: Store

Lauren and Heidi drive up, park the car, get out of it and go inside.

Lauren: Golf clubs a good gift right?

Heidi: I think so.

Lauren: ‘Cause I really like can’t think of anything else to get him.

Heidi: What’s like even a good brand?

Lauren: I have absolutely no idea. (They walk around)

Heidi: Nike? Callaway has to be good ‘cause it’s like everywhere.

Lauren: It just sounds kinda golf like Callaway.

Heidi: Oh my gosh there’s so many of these.

Lauren: Why are they so much money?

Heidi: (Laughs) I don’t know.

Lauren: (Looking at golf clubs) These ones are pretty.

Heidi: Those ones are really pretty.  What are we even doing for his birthday?

Lauren: (Picks up a golf club) We’re doing dinner at Blowfish.

Heidi: Are you gonna give it to him that night? ‘Cause you should give it to him so he can use it right?

Lauren: No, no, no. That’s the thing. I don’t wanna give it to him at night. So I’m gonna have… I have to figure out a way somehow to just like have them in the trunk like covered with stuff.

Heidi: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why don’t you get Jordan to do that?

Lauren: We’ll figure out something. I just wanted to get ‘em so he can play with ‘em.

Heidi: Do you get like a bag with it? Or do you have to buy a bag also?

Lauren: I don’t know.

Heidi: (Laughs) Maybe we should get help. (They look around for someone to help them)

CUT TO: Opening Credits

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices

Whitney: Jeans can be addicting. There’s always like new ones and you feel like you have to have them. I can’t do it. (They laugh)

Lauren: Did they call you to work tomorrow?

Whitney: No.

Lauren: For the next day?

Whitney: They called me for Wednesday and Friday.

Lauren: Wednesday is Jason’s birthday.

Whitney: Really? Do you have to plan something? (Lisa comes in)

Lisa: Hi.

Lauren: Hi.

Lisa: (Another woman comes in) This is Gloria.

Whitney: Hi. (Whitney shakes her hand) She’s the fashion director for Teen Vogue.

Gloria: (Lauren gets up) Hi how are you? Nice to meet you.

Lisa: This is Lauren. (Gloria shakes Lauren’s hand) This is Whitney (Points at Whitney)

Gloria: Nice to meet you.

Lisa: We have a big shoot on Wednesday and uh…(To Whitney) what’s your schedule this week?

Whitney: Wednesday, I just have a class at noon.

Lisa: So Whitney won’t be able to go to the shoot on Wednesday.

Gloria: No.

Lisa: So Lauren, you’re gonna be assistant.

Gloria: There’s gonna be a lot going on so you’re kind of gonna be…

Lisa: Everything.

Gloria: The organizer there. (She laughs) All day. So you’re really gonna be…

Lauren: On Wednesday?

Gloria: It’s Wednesday. We’re counting on you to really kind of let it run smoothly.

Lauren: Mm-K.

Gloria: All right.

Lauren: Thanks.

Gloria: Thanks

Lisa: Bye.

Gloria: Thanks.

Whitney: Bye. (Lauren and Whitney sit down as they leave)

Lauren: That’s his birthday.

Whitney: Oh no…

Lauren: That sucks like I already had plans for the day and everything. (Lauren gets a mad look on her face)

CUT TO: That Night – Hillside Villas

Audrina and Heidi are in the Jacuzzi.

Audrina: Remember that guy I told you about?

Heidi: Danny, the really cute one?

Audrina: We’re gonna go out tonight.

Heidi: It’s so cute.

Audrina: I think this one is a good one. He seems really nice. He like looks like he has a good body like he’s built.

Heidi: Well if he’s a model I would hope so right?

Audrina: Well yeah. (They laugh)

Heidi: That’s the perk of dating a model.

Audrina: I wonder if he likes to be called Dan or Danny.

Heidi: Or Daniel.

Audrina: Or Daniel.

Heidi: Dan the man.

Audrina: (Laughs) Dan the man.

Heidi: Is anything happening with Brian?

Audrina: We never like…

Heidi: You hooked up but you didn’t like…

Audrina: We just hung out but we never like took it to the next level.

Heidi: (Laughing) You never took it to the next level.

Audrina: (Laughs) I don’t know. (They laugh)

Heidi: Are you gonna take it to the next level with Dan?

Audrina: I don’t know it’s depends. I don’t know anything about him.

Heidi: Hello! (Laughs) I have to make sure this guy’s good enough for you. If it’s a really bad date, we’ll have a signal or something.

Audrina: Yeah.

Heidi: And then you’ll call me.

Audrina: Yeah I always usually have those little…

Heidi: I always did that with guys.

Audrina: Me too.

Heidi: Always.

Audrina: I think it’s gonna be good.

Heidi: I hope it’s good. You deserve a really good guy.

Audrina: I know.

Heidi: I’m living my single life vicariously through you.

Audrina: We’ll see how long this guy lasts. (They laugh)

CUT TO: Lauren and Heidi’s Apartment

Lauren is on her sidekick when Jason comes in

Lauren: Hi.

Jason: What up?

Lauren: Baby! (Closes her sidekick)

Jason: What are you doing? (Sits down with her) How was work?

Lauren: It’s all right. (They kiss) I missed you.

Jason: Missed you too.

Lauren: So remember I told you they asked me if I could work like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday?

Jason: Mm-hmm.

Lauren: Lisa Love came in and she said that, that Whitney has school all day.

Jason: Mm-hmm.

Lauren: And that like “You’re the only person and they don’t have an assistant that day…”

Jason: Mm-hmm.

Lauren: So I have to go in and do a shoot.

Jason: So you have to work? On my birthday? Whatever.

Lauren: I’m sorry.

Jason: Don’t worry about it.

Lauren: I wanted to spend your birthday with you.

Jason: Yeah.

CUT TO: Audrina’s Apartment

Danny is knocking on her door to pick her up for their date while she is talking to Heidi on the phone.

Heidi: Call me after.

Audrina: Okay, okay. He’s here.

Heidi: Tell me everything.

Audrina: I’ll call you later okay? Okay bye.

Heidi: Bye.  (Audrina hangs up the phone and answers the door)

Audrina: Hi.

Danny: Hello baby. How are you?

Audrina: Good how are you?

Danny: It’s fancy seeing you again.

Audrina: (Hugs him) It’s good seeing you.

Danny: How you doin’?

Audrina: Good. (It cuts to them leaving Hillside Villas)

Danny: It’s nice. It’s been nice all day. Did you go outside?

Audrina: On my lunch break.

Danny: Oh that’s right. I apologize, you work. (He laughs. It cuts to them getting inside his car to go to dinner. He opens the door for her and she gets in.)

Audrina: So why did you move here?

Danny: Um, uh modeling and acting. I mean just to give it a shot.

Audrina: Yeah. So what beach did you go to?

Danny: Today? I live at the beach.

Audrina: Oh.

Danny: Wait, did I say I was going to the beach? I must have lied. It’s amazing. (They pull into El Coyote Restaurant. It cuts to them going inside and sitting down at a table) Well here’s to an interesting night. (They toast with their drinks) I had a friend from high school and she just got brand new fake boobs, which I think is great.

Audrina: Yeah.

Danny: And of course she gets too drunk and gets encouraged to show…

Audrina & Danny: To show off her brand new boobs.

Danny: I’m gonna check my machine if you don’t mind.

Audrina: No go ahead. (He gets out his phone and sits there listening to his machine for a while) You have a lot of messages?

Danny: (Shuts his phone) It’s my agent. (Waitress brings them food) Oh.

Waitress: Here you go.

Danny: Thank you. Oh that looks wonderful.

Audrina: (They are eating) So when was your last relationship?

Danny: Relationship?

Audrina: Well…I don’t know.

Danny: I haven’t had a long-term relationship probably…ever. (Audrina’s phone rings) Pick it up.

Audrina: Sorry.

Danny: It’s okay. It’s the right thing to do.

Audrina: (Picks it up) Hi. (It turns out it is Heidi)

Heidi: Are you sitting with him?

Audrina: Yeah.

Heidi: Okay so I’ll say something and if he’s really cute and sweet,  then tell me that the food is great, okay?

Audrina: Okay.

Heidi: How’s the food?

Audrina: It’s a little greasy but…(Heidi laughs)

Heidi: Okay well call me after and definitely meet up with us.

Audrina: Okay bye. (She looks at her phone and then hangs up)

Danny: (Eating his food) This salad’s like a party.

CUT TO: Bella Restaurant

Jason and Lauren and Heidi and Jordan go inside and sit down.

Jason: Yeah so uh, who’s, who’s, is anyone meeting us here?

Heidi: Okay, Audrina’s just coming off of a date. Brian doesn’t know she was on a date.

Jason: Brian doesn’t know?

Heidi: No!

Lauren: Nobody say anything.

Jason: That’s what I’m telling you guys. I was like…it’s gonna be awkward.

Heidi: (Brian joins them) Brian!

Brian: Hey what’s up? (Highfives Jordan)

Heidi: Hey!

Jason: Yo! (Shakes Brian’s hand)

Brian: How’s everybody doin’? (Sits down) Thanks for saving me bread.

Heidi: (Shows him a plate) But we did save you oil and vinegar. (Jason and Lauren laugh. Then Audrina shows up)

Audrina: Hi.

Brian: Hello there.

Heidi: Hi.

Lauren: Audrina!

Heidi: Are you alone?

Audrina: I’m alone.

Heidi: You wanna scoot in? (Audrina sits down) So tell us.

Audrina: It was good, it went good.

Heidi: Are you gonna see him again?

Audrina: I don’t know.

Lauren: Is he a good guy?

Audrina: He feels like a genuine guy but I don’t know him that well. It’s a first date.

Heidi: So what is the basic info about him?

Audrina: Moved here five months ago, he wants to be a model or an actor, he’s never been in a relationship.

Brian: He’s gay. (Everyone laughs)

Heidi: Shut up! I wanna hear more, I wanna hear more.

Brian: Oh god please enough already! (Jordan taps his drink)

Audrina: Let’s make a toast.

Lauren: Okay.

Jane: (As Lauren takes shoes out) When you’re done with that, I think all the sneakers are in there.

Lauren: There’s sneakers?

Jane: Lauren if you wanna do them by category like sneakers, ballet flats, and then pumps that would great. (Lauren nods. She goes back to sorting shoes) Should we have Lauren steam that a bit? (It cuts to Lauren steaming a skirt)

Lauren: (Hands the skirt to someone) Here you go. (Everyone goes outside to watch the shoot)

Blaine: Did you go buy golf clubs?

Lauren: I did. I stopped by and I was like “I don’t know anything about golf, what are the best things you have?” and he showed me and I got the ones like down from that because they were way too much money.

Blaine: Okay, so you’re gonna give it to ‘em tonight?

Lauren: No, actually he’s golfing right now and they’re waiting for him there with like a bow. Happy birthday!

Blaine: And are you gonna see him tonight?

Lauren: Yeah we’ll be at dinner.

Blaine: Just the two of you?

Lauren: No it’s a big group of us.

Blaine: Nice.

Lauren: Yeah.

Jordan: No! Yeah it’s from me, it’s from me. It’s from Lauren.

Jason: She got…oh my god. (He takes the clubs out of the trunk) She couldn’t have got ‘em at a better time huh? I can not believe she bought these.

Jordan: Call her dude.

Brian: Yeah those are Callaways.

Jordan: Call her right now. (Jason gets out his cell phone and calls Lauren)

Jason: Unbelievable. (It cuts to the Teen Vogue Photoshoot. Her phone rings and she answers it)

Lauren: Hello?

Jason: (Cuts back to Jason) Hey baby.

Lauren: Hey.

Lauren: Okay I love you bye.

Jason: K bye. (They both hang up)

Brian: All right let’s go already.

Jason: (Puts the bag on his shoulder) Brian would you like to carry my golf clubs? (Brian makes an “oh please” sound and then cuts back to Lauren)

Jane: Lauren we need everyone to sign a release form, just saying that we can use their photo in the magazine.

Lauren: (To a model) Just put your name.

Guy: Yeah of course.

Lauren: And your signature. (He signs and Lauren looks at the clock. She hands a paper to woman) And you get one too.

Woman: Okay.

Lauren: (To Jennifer, a model) How long did they say you’d be here till?

Jennifer: I have no idea.

Lauren: They didn’t say?

Jennifer: They haven’t told us absolutely anything.

Brian: (Shoots the ball) Oh!

CUT TO: Teen Vogue Photo Shoot

Lauren is writing something when Jane comes over to her.

Jane: All of these trunks I don’t wanna have to bring them back to the office or my hotel room. I would arrange the pick up just in case…the shoot goes overtime, past 6:00.

Jane: Yes.

Lauren: Okay. Thanks okay so 6:00. (Lauren puts sneakers in a trunk. Someone takes them away) Thank you.

Lauren: Do you like, do you need me there?

Jane: I mean we’re pretty set but if you just wanna take it in and see what’s going on.

Lauren: Do…I mean if you need me to do something there I’ll go, otherwise I have like something I need to be at.

Lauren: If you could have anything for your birthday what would you pick?

Jason: Uh, prolly you.

Lauren: You already got that. What else would you want, if you could have anything?

Lauren: I don’t know we’ll see.

Jason: Okay well if you want to go home you can take my car.

Lauren: Where you going?

Jason: Huh?

Lauren: After dinner, where are you going?

Brian: Happy Birthday Jas.

Jason: Hey no worries. Pass this down.

Brian: (Making a toast) Can I get everyone’s attention really quickly? (Taps his glass) This doesn’t really work well with a wooden stick. Um, I’ve been in LA for like five or six months…(Lauren and Jason kiss) now and I feel good that I’m at a party here, new friends the point of this is happy birthday Jason. Everybody at this table is here for you.

Audrina: Shut up. (Jason gets up)

Jason: I’ll be right back.

Lauren: (Looks around) Where did he go?

Brian: He didn’t want to talk to you. He’s over you. Sorry.

Lauren: Happens.

Heidi: That is a really mean thing to say. (Jason walks around the table. He sits down on the opposite end of Lauren)

Lauren: (Looks over at Jason) Thank you for not sitting by me, that’s cool.

Jason: Hey I found a place if you wanna come live with us. It’d be trouble but…(He sees Lauren is upset) I’ll be right back. Yeah I gotta…I’ll be right back. (He sits down next to Lauren) I’m trying to be friendly you know baby? I’ll be back. (He gets up again and goes outside)

Heidi: Are you okay?

Lauren: No. It’s kinda lame he’s not sitting by me. (Jason comes back inside.)

Jason: (Highfives someone) Thank you bro. I appreciate it.

Guy: (To Lauren) Are you and Jason fighting?

Lauren: I’m just sitting here and smiling. I’m not going to fight with him on his birthday. He can’t treat me like s**t and expect me to be sweet to him, you know?

Jason: Groovy!

Guy: I get that.

Lauren: You get that?

Jason: You ready to go out baby? (He kisses her)

Lauren: I’m not going out sweetie.

Jason: You’re not going out? All right I’m outta here. (It cuts to everyone outside) Why are you mad at me, Lauren?

Lauren: It’s your birthday sweetie, I’m not gonna fight with you on your birthday okay? I love you. (She kisses him)

Jason: Will you tell me why you’re mad?

Lauren: I rushed home for your birthday. Put yourself in my situation. (He walks away from her. He leaves with someone. Lauren watches him go. He gets in a car and leaves. Lauren gets in Jason’s car with Heidi and Jordan. Heidi, Jordan and Lauren leave. It then shows the city of LA.)
