Previously on The Hills…
Lauren: (V.O.) My new life in LA was off to a great start.
Heidi: Hi!
Lauren: (V.O.) Already I had moved into an awesome new apartment with my
best friend Heidi and landed a dream internship at Teen Vogue.
Lisa: You work for us, you represent us, you look great, you don’t
behave badly.
Lauren: (V.O.) My first big assignment was to work a huge Hollywood
party.
Blaine: Your job is simply to stand here and guard this area.
Lauren: You got it Blaine.
Blaine: Okay.
Lauren: You have fun!
Lauren: (V.O.) It was pretty amazing party which is probably why Heidi
decided to crash it.
Heidi: Can you get us in?
Lauren: Seriously?
Lauren: (V.O.) Heidi did what she wanted, when she wanted. Of course she
didn’t do it quietly.
Heidi: I didn’t do anything. Calm down.
Lauren: (V.O.) And now I was gonna have to answer to my boss.
Lisa: We’ll talk about it on Monday.
Lauren: Okay.
CUT TO: Hillside Villas
Heidi: Should I wear this over it? (She holds up a white top)
Lauren: That’s a little short.
Heidi: You and me, we have different shorts. (Puts the white top on)
Come on Teen Vogue girl help me out here.
Lauren: Speaking of Teen Vogue I got yelled at.
Heidi: No way.
Lauren: No I didn’t get yelled at. (Heidi puts on a jacket) I got like
scolded.
Heidi: What?
Lauren: Because a couple of my friends showed up at that Teen Vogue
party. (Heidi buttons her jacket)
Heidi: Lame, who did that?
Lauren: And they made a scene and I got in trouble.
Heidi: No! But you didn’t get fired right?
Lauren: You can’t just crash anymore of my work things.
Heidi: Okay we’ll make that a rule.
Lauren: Yeah that’s gonna be a big rule.
CUT TO: Opening Credits
CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices
Whitney: Hi, how are you?
Lauren: You look cute.
Whitney: Thanks so do you. What did you think about the party? We didn’t
even get to talk about it. I don’t know if like no one ever said anything to me
about letting them in but hopefully everything’s okay.
Lauren: I mean I didn’t want them to come. Heidi shouldn’t have gone and
like gotten in a fight with her boyfriend at my work.
Whitney: No that wasn’t really responsible.
Lauren: And then like Lisa came over, remember?
Whitney: And you haven’t talked to her since? (Lauren shakes her head)
She’s a little scary.
Lauren: This is gonna be interesting.
CUT TO: Pan Pacific Park
Jordan and Brian are playing basketball.
Brian: You and Heidi got an argument…again. You guys both get so jealous
of each other.
Jordan: That’s because she’s all over everybody dude.
Brian: She thinks she’s just being friendly but what she doesn’t realize
is like guys get the wrong impression.
Jordan: She knew she was wrong. She admitted it to me.
Brian: So what happened?
Jordan: We made up.
Brian: How many times did you make up? (He laughs) Did you ever ask
Heidi if you could have a threesome with Lauren?
Jordan: No I haven’t gotten that yet.
Brian: You gotta ask these types of questions. You’re…you’re in
Hollywood now Jordan, this isn’t North Carolina.
CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices
Lauren is erasing something while Whitney looks through clothes.
Lauren: (Leans over) There’s no printer is there? (Blaine comes in)
Blaine: Hi.
Lauren & Whitney: Hi.
Blaine: (Points at Lauren) Lisa wants to talk to you. (Lauren gets up
and leaves. It cuts to her walking down the hall to Lisa’s office. She knocks
on Lisa’s door)
Lisa: Hi, come in. Have a seat. (She sits down as Lisa gets up and shuts
the door) We have to talk about the Teen Vogue party. I just wanna hear your
side.
Lauren: Um…
Lisa: Your friends’ behavior? I heard that they were quite drunk and had
a fight.
Lauren: Um…
Lisa: Who let them in?
Lauren: I mean I wasn’t out there…
Lisa: Right.
Lauren: I don’t know exactly how they came in, they came in so…
Lisa: I really do not approve of any alcohol or substance abuse at all
by anyone that we know. Just remember always constantly you’re representing us.
Okay?
Lauren: Okay.
Lisa: So it’s really important.
Lauren: I understand it, I’m sorry.
Lisa: Um, I’m going to New York next week for Fashion Week, so while I’m
gone, behave. (Lauren nods) And that’s about it.
CUT TO: Intern Room
Whitney is on a computer when Lauren comes back.
Whitney: You okay? (Lauren sits down) What happened?
Lauren: I got scolded.
Whitney: No you didn’t. What’d they say?
Lauren: She was basically wanted to know, she’s like “Well how did they
get in? Why were they there? Like, why did you let them sit? I don’t understand
how your friends got in”.
Whitney: Oh god.
Lauren: And I was like “I don’t know”. I was like “Something must have
let them in the front”. She’s like “You don’t know how?” And I was like “I
don’t know”.
Whitney: Oh my god. Honestly, thank you so much. I mean like you saved
my ass.
Lauren: Well I asked you to do it.
Whitney: I know but like I did it. So…maybe that was my fault for
letting them in.
Lauren: No, it’s Heidi’s fault.
CUT TO: Hillside Villas
Heidi is by the pool, calling Audrina.
CUT TO: Quixote Studios (Audrina’s work)
She answers the phone.
Audrina: Good afternoon, Quixote.
Heidi: What are you doing?
Audrina: I’m working. What are you doing?
Heidi: Oh, kind of recovering. What are you doing tonight?
Audrina: Today I have to work until 6. And then…
Heidi: That sucks.
Audrina: Yeah I work everyday from 9-6. We should all go out and do
something.
Heidi: We can go to this new club called LAX. I think Brian might be
there.
Audrina: That’s interesting. All right I’ll give you a call.
Heidi: Okay bye. (She hangs up)
CUT TO: That Night – LAX
Heidi, Jordan, Lauren, Brian and Audrina are walking to the club.
Heidi: Did Lisa Love talk to you today?
Lauren: Yeah and I got in a lot of trouble. She’s all scary like…
Heidi: I don’t like that lady. You guys excited to go out?
Jordan: Woo!
Heidi: Party at LAX. (They wait in line to go in) If we don’t get in,
let’s just go to Mood’s.
Audrina: I know the guy who works the door there. This is supposed to be
a really great spot.
Brian: What’s up dude? How are you? (They go inside the club. Heidi and
Jordan are moving around, being dorky)
Lauren: You guys are the biggest dorks. (Heidi laughs at Jordan)
Brian: They said they had all this trouble like finding someone that
tall who could act.
Audrina: That’s you.
Brian: For the role. So I’ve got the uh, audition tomorrow so…(They
laugh) I’m gonna go right now! Where’s Heidi? (Jordan looks around for her.
They show her talking to someone)
Lauren: Where is Heidi? (She looks for her)
Heidi: Thanks. (She goes back over to everyone) Guess what, guess what,
guess what?
Lauren: There you are.
Heidi: I got an interview with Brent.
Brian: Wait, what did you do?
Heidi: He owns Bolthouse. So they do like celebrity parties, and they
do…
Audrina: Events, clubs.
Heidi: …they own clubs, they do clubs, they’re like, opening hotels.
Jordan: Is he single?
Heidi: Actually I was trying to get another boyfriend. Is that the
answer you want? I’m like “What do I love doing? Partying”.
Brian: Some dude just gave your girl a business card.
Heidi: Don’t rain on my parade.
Lauren: With his number on it.
Heidi: (Jordan gets up) Don’t rain on my parade. (He sits back down)
Brian: So you’re going to be working at all these, like, events and
parties, like that are cool?
Heidi: And then I’ll get you guys in.
Lauren: Heidi, what time are you going home?
Heidi: About two.
Lauren: Two? You’re gonna stay out till they close? We have school
really early tomorrow.
Heidi: I’m so excited. Are you proud of me? (She kisses Jordan)
Lauren: I’m gonna go then.
Heidi: Yeah, yeah, yeah! (She gets up and starts jumping around)

Heidi: Oh my god I can’t believe…I don’t wanna do this. That’s bad, I’m
already planning on like ditching my classes.
Lauren: You can’t ditch your first class, Heidi.
Heidi: Why?
Lauren: Why, seriously? (They go inside. Lauren goes down a hall and
opens a door and goes in and sits down)
Teacher: Ashley? Sarah? Thank you. Laical? Lauren? (Lauren raises her
hand) Conrad? Okay are we all here? Yes? (Lauren flips through a book) Ready to
roll?
CUT TO: Jordan and Brian’s Apartment
Brian: Oh! Oh my god dude. (He rubs his eyes) My head is killing me. (He
sits down on the couch with Jordan) What’s going out every night is getting uh…?
(He laughs)
Jordan: Yeah.
Brian: What’s Heidi and Lauren doing today?
Jordan: They’re at school.
Brian: I wanna hang out with like me, you, Heidi and Audrina.
Jordan: Ah-ha! Of course you do, of course you do. Dude Heidi is like
the supreme person to hook up people.
Brian: She goes up to everyone, you hear her go “You have to meet the
best guy ever”. And from now on I’m just gonna be like “Heidi, her”. (Jordan
laughs)

Heidi: Well do you like him?
Audrina: I don’t know, he’s seems really sweet, he’s cute and nice and

Heidi: Um, I didn’t finish.
Lauren: What do you mean you didn’t finish? Did you just leave?
Heidi: Yeah.
Lauren: Heidi you can’t just walk out of a class.
Heidi: Whatever.
Lauren: What other class do you have?
Heidi: Art, I already missed it today. Because I couldn’t find it so I
was just like “Screw this, I’m not going”.
Lauren: Heidi you can’t just like not go to your classes.
Heidi: Well I don’t think they want me to go an hour late.
Lauren: Well they want you to go.
Heidi: Art is really lame, you know?
Lauren: Yeah but Heidi I would give it more than a day.
Heidi: I will, I’ll give it more than a day.
Lauren: Heidi…are you gonna go? (She gets up)
Heidi: Yeah.
Lauren: I gotta go to work.
Heidi: (Getting up) I’m ready for a nap. (She laughs)
CUT TO: 3rd Street
Heidi and Jordan are walking, holding hands.
Heidi: No listen to movies.
Jordan: I can’t believe you believe everything in movies. (They get to a
restaurant) You are retarded.
Heidi: Are you…? (Laughs)
Jordan: Sit down. (They both sit down) I’m so tired from last night.
Heidi: I would be if I were you too. (He laughs)
Jordan: What, you saying uh, you wear me out?
Heidi: I had a hard day at school today.
Jordan: What’d you do at school?
Heidi: I hate it. You know when you get the feeling you’re not meant to
do something?
Jordan: Yeah.
Heidi: You just know you’re not meant to do it. I just know I’m not
meant to do school right now. ‘Cause if I already have this interview and if I
get the job then that’s what I’d be going to school for.
Jordan: Oh Bolthouse? (She nods)
Heidi: I mean school’s not meant for everyone.
Jordan: I’m not in it.
Heidi: Yeah.
Jordan: You have any classes with Lauren?
Heidi: No but it’s like…
Jordan: No?
Heidi: Lauren doesn’t understand that I’m not meant to do what she’s
meant to do.
Jordan: Quit.
CUT TO: The Next Morning – Hillside Villas
Heidi is picking out clothes for her interview with Bolthouse when
Lauren comes in the room.
Lauren: Good morning, good morning. Rise and shine.
Heidi: Should I wear this? With the tank under it?
Lauren: Do you care what you look like? I wear sweats to school.
Heidi: I’m not going to school.
Lauren: Why?
Heidi: I’m going to that interview with Bolthouse.
Lauren: What time is it though?
Heidi: It’s at the same time as class. But I think that um, if I get
this job I’m not gonna go back to school.
Lauren: Like for a semester?
Heidi: Like back period.
Lauren: You’re not gonna go to school at all, Heidi? (Heidi shakes her
head)
Heidi: No because like what I’m going to school for is to you know get
the job that I’d be getting ‘cause it’s like my dream job so I don’t know, and
then if it doesn’t work out I could always go back to school but I might as
well take a chance.
Lauren: (She sighs) I thought we moved here to go to school together.
Heidi: This is like a once in a lifetime opportunity to get this kind of
job.
Lauren: Well I mean if you think that it’s like something that’s not
gonna come along again…
Heidi: I don’t. So I’m gonna drop out if I get it for sure. (Lauren
nods) I don’t know let’s see what happens.
Lauren: Mm-hmm.
CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices
Lauren is already there when Whitney comes in.
Whitney: Hi.
Lauren: Hello.
Whitney: How are you?
Lauren: Good how are you?
Whitney: (She sits down) I’m very good. Okay so what’s up?
Lauren: Well we went out to the club LAX
Whitney: Ooh.
Lauren: Heidi my roommate met um, this guy Brent.
Whitney: Mm-hmm.
Lauren: And he plans events and that’s like what she wants to do.
Whitney: Ooh.
Lauren: She’s going in for an interview today for like an assistant
position for him.
Whitney: Are you serious?
Lauren: (Laughs) She’s not the best at interviews.
Whitney: She’s not?
Lauren: Okay when you’re in an interview, you’re supposed to lie.
(Whitney laughs) Okay, here if I’m interviewing you and I say, “What is like
your biggest flaw?” You make it a positive flaw. Like, like “I have difficulty
like not finishing things, like I always have to finish something”. If you ask
Heidi “What’s your biggest flaw?” she’s like “Yeah like I don’t really go to
school”. (Whitney laughs) “I don’t really finish stuff”. (They both laugh) So
she didn’t go to school today so that she could go to the interview and she’s
saying that if she gets the job she’s not gonna go back.
Whitney: I don’t know. Hopefully it will be a positive thing for her.
Lauren: Yeah, we’ll see. We’ll see if she even gets it though.
Whitney: Hopefully.
Lauren: Yeah.
CUT TO: Bolthouse Offices
Heidi goes inside and up a flight of stairs. It cuts to inside
Bolthouse.
Deb: Brent’s just wrapping up a call so…
Heidi: Okay.
Deb: Just have a seat out here. I’m gonna take that into him.
Heidi: Okay. (Hands Deb a paper)
Deb: You want water or anything?
Heidi: Uh, no. I’m great, thank you.
Deb: Okay he’ll be back in, in a sec.
Heidi: (As Deb goes in Brent’s office) Okay great, thank you.
Deb: Ready? I have her resume. (To Heidi) You ready?
Heidi: Sure. (She comes in his office)
Brent: I’m just gonna finish sending this.
Heidi: I love your office.
Brent: Hi.
Heidi: I’m so nervous.
Brent: Don’t worry.
Heidi: I know, take a deep breath.
Brent: So tell me why you think you should work here.
Heidi: I think that um, because I’m extremely hard working and I’ll go
the extra mile and I won’t quit until everything is like exactly the way you
want it and I don’t give up easily and…
Brent: I need a second assistant so that means you’d kinda like just…
Heidi: Right.
Brent: Help keep our live where we’re kinda like the hub of the company.
(She nods) I hate drama so as little drama as possible.
Heidi: Yeah that’s good to hear.
CUT TO: Teen Vogue Offices
Lauren’s phone vibrates.
Lauren: Whoa! Hello?
Heidi: Guess what, guess what, guess what?
Lauren: What?
Heidi: I got a job!
Lauren: No you didn’t.
Heidi: Yeah I seriously got it. The number one like event planning PR
firm and I’m working for them. I’m like I have a job and it’s not like…Oh my
god I’m so excited. I get a salary.
Lauren: That is awesome. Congratulations Heidi.
Heidi: I know and oh my god the office is gorgeous like inside it has
like brick walls and like these awesome paintings and I got like a lunch break
and stuff.
Lauren: A real lunch break? (They laugh)
Heidi: Okay I’m only like 19 and I have my dream job.
Lauren: Oh good for you. What could go wrong?
Heidi: I’m so excited and I think I start like Monday. (Lauren hangs up
on her. Her phone vibrates but she doesn’t answer)
Lauren: Weird.
Heidi: Lauren?
Lauren: (Singing) Fashion school dropout (Whitney joins in) no
graduation day for you.
Heidi: Lauren?
Lauren: Fashion school dropout. (Heidi hangs up her phone and puts it
away. Then she walks down the street. Then it shows Lauren and then Heidi
again. Then the camera shows cars driving down the streets of LA. )
