Night air view of city. The view passes inside a tall building window. There is a long haired man strapped to metal bed. He is shirtless and has red pants on. He is surrounded by guards. A doctor enters and comes up to the man. The man continues to struggle against the restraints.
Doctor: "Easy now. Just need to pull some blood."
Obervant window. Another doctor enters. As he goes about his business, he hears a noise. He goes to the observant window. Sees the room below is a mess. A couple of lamps are knocked down. The guards that were there are laying on the floor. Suddenly, the man leaps up in the air directly in front of the man. He crashes through the observant window and knocks the doctor down. He quickly gets up and takes off down the hall. There is a group of men with guns that head down the hall searching for the man as an alarm echoes through the halls. The man jumps in view, dashes to other side of the hall, kicks off doorframe and is barely missed by a bullet. He crashes through a door and continues to runs down the hallway. Searchers continue down the hall. The man suddenly crashes through a side room window with another man. Nash enters one room and sees a window is open. He looks down to the street below seeing nothing but rain, then he looks up and sees the man crawling up to the roof.
Nash: "He's headed up to the roof."
The man climbs up on the roof. He hears voices coming closer to the roof door and dashes out of sight. The roof door opens and the group of men with guns come out looking around. The long haired man jumps from above behind them. One man up front turns around and sees him. As the long haired man lands, he knocks two men's rifles down onto the foor. He hits the first man in the stomach with his right arm. He turns to the man on his right and hits down his rifle. He sees another man to his right. He uses the man in front of him as leverage as he jumps off the ground and kicks the man on the right in the chest. The long hiared man lands on his feet as the other man flies back and lands on the roof. He takes the man he used as leverage and throws him aside onto the roof. The man he kicked in the chest gets up and faces the long haired man. The long haired man crouches on all fours,w hirls around in a half curcle, and uses his feet to trip the mna and send him back on the roof on his back. He leaps to another man and begins to beat on him. Another man comes up behind the long haired man. He goes to hit him. The long haired man grabs the other man's arm, gets down on his back, puts his food on th eman's chest and sends him over his head. The long haired man rolls with the man. When the man is on his back, the long haired man hits him once with a strong right fisted backhand. Another man stands. The long haired man kicks him on the side of the head sending him back on the roof. The lon ghaired man ape-crawls a couple leaps, then stands up and sees all the men down. Nash comes up the stairs and opens the door to the roof. He sees all the men are down. He takes a couple of steps letting the roof door close behind him. The long haired man jumps from above and kicks the gun out of Nash's hands. he grabs Nash by the shoulders and throws him aside. Nash lands on his back. The long haired man steps to Nash who has rolled onto his stomach. The long haired man stops and looks over his shoulder to the roof door. Two men open the door with rifles and look around. Nash gets up and goes to the edge of the roof. He looks at the sreet below. The long haired man hangs from a bird statue on the corner of Greystoke Building.
Morning.
Picture of Michael and Jane. Six thirty radio comes on. Jane wakes up, does pull ups, sit ups, push ups, takes a shower. She stands in front of a mirror dressed. Her hair is back in a ponytail. She picks up her cell phone, badge, gun, and puts the clip in her gun. She is in the kitchen pouring a shake in a cup. Nicki enters the kitchen.
Nicki: Morning.
Jane:
Nicki. How
about those dishes from last night?
Nicki: I move away from Mom only to move in with Mom the sequel. I wish
I lived in a dorm or something.
Jane: You can live in a dorm. Work two jobs and go to school like I did.
Nicki: I'd rather rob a bank.
Jane: You could do that, but then I would have to arrest you.
Jane answers smiling as she looks at a newspaper.
Nicki: Your own sister?
Jane: Yep. Hey check it out.
She shows Nicki a picture of Michael on the front page.
Nicki: Wow he looks good.
Jane: Is he amazing or what?
Nicki: Why is he dating you again?
Jane puts the paper down and sighs while standing.
Nicki:
Hey, what's
wrong?
Jane: Nothing, it's just, working a case like that, can you imagine how
great that would be?
Nicki: You'll get there.
Jane: Yeah right.
Precinct. Michael in front of a board with a couple of pictures and writing on a dry erase board.
Michael: Third victim, same m.o. We don't know the score. It's a serial case now. Victims are homeless. Flamables carosine. They're alone and he sets them on fire. There's nothing.
Sam: What about Edward Kreel?
Jane: (Quietly) Sam don't.
Michael: What about him Sam?
Sam: They sound kind of similar. Maybe your boy's a copy cat. Might provide some of that focus you're looking for.
Captain: We don't think so, it's a different m.o. Besides, he died in prison after you busted him Sam.
While he talks, Jane and Michael smile at one another.
Captain: No one really remembers Kreel anymore.
Gene: Don't you two have a dog to catch?
Sam: I don't know, Gene, is your wife missing?
Michael: Sit down.
He puts a hand on Gene. Sam and Jane walk away.
Jane: I bet you thought that was hysterical.
Sam: I've seen Gene's wife.
Jane: You've been in front of the review board twice this year. You are always pissing people off. What is your deal?
Sam: You want to know the truth?
Jane: Yes.
Sam: You really wanna know?
Jane: Yes.
Sam: The truth is I like pissing people off. I'm super good at it and that is my deal.
Jane: Good.
Sam: Jane, Jane Jane, Jane. Hold up, Listen to me. There's no trick to this. You want to step up to the show this is how. When you get a hunch you chase it down no matter what.
Jane: I just think that's-
Sam. Try not to. Just trust your gut. I'm going to poke around this inferno case, see what I can see. I want your help.
Jane: It's not our case. It's Michael's case. And we should to our job.
Jane walks away leaving Sam to stand there.
Nash on roof. A couple other men looking around.
Woman: Sir.
Nash goes up to piece of metal (spear?) finds torn piece of cloth from the man's red pants.
Jane and Michael on the street. Jane is eating a doughnut.
Michael: Anyway, we're on for Thursday, right?
Jane: Forensic seminar remember?
Michael: How lame. We can't even hook up for dinner and a rental.
Jane: We can hook up alright. Suprise me back (?)
They give a quick kiss and walk separate ways.
Michael: Jane.
Jane and Michael come back.
Michael: (Sighs) So, I was thinking. You know I've had my apartment it's so small. My lease is up in a couple of months. I never get to see you.
Jane: What are you telling me here?
Michael: Look. Alright. I don't want to rush into anything. I was thinking maybe we get a place, together.
Jane stays quiet.
Michael: I think this is your cue to say something.
They hug.
Night. They walk away from a building and head to their car.
Sam: So this is the kind of cases we get. Stray dogs trashing meat markets. You know who we need on this case? A K-9 unit.
Jane notices animal control truck in alley. Dogs barking.
Jane: Hey, check it out. Animal Control. Maybe they found our dog.
They walk over and talk to driver.
Driver anxiously trying to lite a cigarrette.
Jane:
Hey what's
going on?
Driver: In there.
He indicates the alley with his chin. A growl is heard in the alley, too deep for a dog growl. Sam and Jane get out flaslight and gun and walk in to investigate. They find a group of dogs eating, and a blanket the same height as the dogs backs. The man looks up.
Sam: Hey!
The man jumps up, lets the blanket fall to the ground and climbs up a fire escape ladder. Sam goes to follow, but the group of dogs growl. He backs up not wanting to get bit. Jane heads to the roof and chases the shirtless man. The man leaps to another roof. Jane follows and lands successfully. The man jumps another roof. Jane follows. She misjudges the distance and grabs the edge of the roof. She reaches out and gets a hold of a dish cable. She pulls on it. The cable snaps loose and the dish flies over her head. She begins to loose her grip. The man grabs her wrist just as her fingers slip off the edge. He slowly pulls her up looking at her curiously. He turns and puts her on her feet. She backs up and draws her gun shakily aiming it at him.
Jane: You're under arrest.
He tips his head to the side looking at the gun. She suddenly faints. He catches her. He gently lays her down against a sky window. He genlty touches her cheek with the back of his hand while he touches his simultaneously. He moves his hand down her bottom jaw to her neck. He moves down the buttons on her shirt to her navel. She begins to wake with a slight expression of pain on her face. He mimics her action as she moves her hand to the back of her neck a moment. Jane sees him there and shoves him back. He circles on his hands and feet, unaware that his necklace has fallen to the roof, smiles then comes back over to her. She sees him look at her like he has never seen a woman before. He touches her face and lips, then touches his own. A helicopter comes. Jane turns away due to the bright light and wind of the blades from the helicopter. Four men propel down. The man ape-crawls up then stands up as if to protect the woman he just met. One man shoots him in chest. Three orange darts hit him in the chest. He looks down at them, then collapses to his knees before landing on his chest. Jane looks back and notices there is a logo on one of the man's sleeves. The men put the shirtless man in a net and take off. Jane sees the necklace and picks it up.
Next day. Precinct.
Captain: So he wore a necklace. That doesn't proof high tech comandos or helicopters in the East village.
Jane: You don't believe me.
Captain: I believe you believe it.
Sam: If she says it happened, then it happened.
Captain: Your partner wasn't on the scene. There was no cooberating report about a chopper and you suffered a mild cuncusion.
Jane: So a guy gets snatched, taken God knows where and we're not going to do a thing about it?
Captain: We're gonna fill out a wanted card and we're gonna pick the guy up.
Sam: Now can we please talk about the inferno killer? Come on, Captain. You're boys buring in the exact same neighborhood that Edward Kreel was.
Captain: They both found homeless victims in homeless areas, so what? Look, we have a solid lead. The exellerant used on the last victim was program (?) insectiside. The killer is an exterminator, Sam.
Sam: Yeah, but it still doesn't explain motive. Why is he targeting homeless people?
Jane spots the same logo she saw from the other night.
Jane: Greystoke.
Captain: What about Greystoke?
Jane picks the picture up and hands it to the Captain.
Jane: The guys from last night wore this patch. They're from Greystoke Industries. They must have-
Captain: You want to come in here with hard evidence about this, about Greystoke, then fine. Otherwise, we have nothing to talk about.
Jane: Sir, I know what I saw.
Captain: Then prove it. We're done here, with both of you.
Jane takes the necklace off the Captain's desk, then her and Sam walk out.
Alley.
Homeless woman talking with her son. They see a van pull up. A man gets out. On the driver door is 'Dead Crawler Exterminator'. Jane and Nicki at home.
Nicki: Come on, tell me, what is he? A scale from one to ten. Is he a seven? A nine? A ten?
Jane: Nicki.
Nicki: He saved your life. That's so romantic.
Jane: No, honey, it's not romantic, it's a case.
Jane looks to Nicki a moment.
Nicki: Right. Forgot. Your life can never be romantic.
Nicki walks out. Jane turns back to her computer and watches a clip.
Male Reporter: Richard Clayton, CEO of Greystokes has not been all mergers and success. There has been great tragedy as well. April 24th, 1983. Older brother John, his wife and son crashes over the Democratic Republic of Congo. John, wife Alice, and John Jr. missing.
Jane sees family photo and sees photo on locket/neckalce is same.
Male Reporter: Determined, personally mounts expeditions. Last August after millions of dollars and years of searching, he found the down sesna and the remains.
Jane enters a room where Richard is playing basketball on a small court.
Jane: Well, quite a set up you have here, Mr. Clayton.
Richard: Won't make the Knicks without practice. Think they could use a good point guard like me.
Jane: While I appreciate you seeing me.
He walks over to a talbe and pours something.
Richard: I always like to help the boys in blue, or girls. So what can I do for you?
Jane follows and keeps a few steps back, then stops.
Jane: Well, sir. I'm investigating an unusual case. A group of dogs has been causing a good deal of damage in the area recently.
Richard: Okay, what's that have to do with me?
Jane: Well, sir, I thought you might have found one of these strays.
Richard: Come on, this must be some kind of joke.
Jane: If he's hiding I'd love to take a look around.
Richard: Detective, there's no dog.
Jane: Then this isn't his collar?
She pulls the necklace from her pocket. Richard turns around and sees it. He comes up to Jane and takes it from her.
Richard: It's very important that this remain a private family matter. Walk with me.
They enter an observant room. The same man is dressed, hair back in a ponytail, still barefoot, and is sitting on the floor rocking back and forth.
Richard: Let me introduce you to John Clayton. Although, I understand you two have already met.
Jane: I'm sorry, did you just say-
She looks from the man to Richard.
Richard: That's my nephew John. Back from the dead. He survived in the jungle.
She looks back to the man as he talks.
Jane: No, that's-
Richard: A miracle? We found him less than a mile from the crash site. Found him. Brought him back stateside. It was pretty much touch and go for a while.
She turns and faces him.
Jane: Does he remember? Can he speak?
They both look back at John.
Richard: You know, it was funny. When he was a kid you couldn't get him to shut up, but now. His MRI's clean. No aphrasia, no brain trauma. No scientific reason why he can't speak. He's mute, passive.
Jane turns back to Richard.
Jane: You know he did demolish four different stores I mean, thats' not so passive.
Richard: It's not his fault. Up here (pointing to his head) he's still a kid.
Jane: You know, I have to report this.
Richard: The D.A. knows everything. We reached an agreement. All charges have been dropped. As long as we keep John here under medical and psyciatric care. I want to protect him. I owe my brother that much.
John stops as if he knows Jane is there, turns to the side as he stands, circles a little along the wall, then leaps on dresser up to the window and looks at Jane.
Tarzan/John: Hello.
Jane: Hi.
Richard pushes a button and a screen comes down.
Richard: I think John's had enough excitement for one day, don't you?
He walks away leaving Jane standing there looking at the screen that came down.
John is layed on a bed. All but one guard has a level one card clipped on their shirt. John hides it under his right side.
Someone passes by an above window. Michael and Jane are dancing. Jane looks up at the window like maybe she had seen something. Michael sees her looking up.
Michael: Hey, whatcha thinking?
She looks in Michael's eyes.
Jane: I love you, you know that right?
Michael: Yeah. Why? What's the deal?
They almost kiss. His cell phone rings.
Michael: It can wait.
He moves in to kiss her. Jane turns away and sighs.
Jane: We both know it can't.
Michael: Yeah? I can't hear you, please hold. I gotta take this. I'm sorry, baby.
Jane: I know.
He kisses her on forehead, then walks out. Jane watches him go. Michael steps out. John is standing directly in front of him. John tips his head to the side slightly. Michael sees the man standing there.
Michael: Hold on (in phone) Here (pulls out some money and puts it in John's hand) get yourself something to eat, alright? Yeah. (continues on phone walking away.)
John looks at money then at Michael. He steps up to Jane at her table.
Jane: That was-
She looks up to see it isn't Michael, but John.
Jane: John.
Tarzan/John: Hello.
Jane: What are you doing here?
Tarzan/John: I came to see you.
The manager walks up to Jane and John.
Manager: Ma'am? Do you know this gentleman?
Jane: Yes.
The manager sees John's slightly torn shirt and baggy slack like pants.
Manager: We have a strict dress code.
The manager looks at John's feet.
Manager: Is-Is he barefoot?
The manager walks around to Jane's right trying to block the view of John to the other guests who are dining.
Manager: He has to leave.
Jane: Yes, of course, I'll get my boyfriend then we'll go.
Jane stands as she talks removing her sweater from the back of her chair.
Manager: Get this guy out of here.
John steps up to the man with a slight growl. Jane steps in and shoves him back.
Jane: Whoa, whoa. Come on, let's go out the back.
Sam and Richard Clayton pull up.
Michael: I gotta go.
He hangs up his phone.
Michael: Sam, what are you doing here?
Sam: Where's Jane?
Michael: Inside, why?
Sam, Richard, and Michael go in. Michael goes up to manager.
Manager: The lady left with the barefoot gentleman.
Michael: The barefoot gentleman?
Michael turns to Richard.
Richard: If anything happens to him-
Sam: Wait, this isn't Jane's fault.
Richard: Well I knew if I found Jane I would find him. I guess I was right.
Sam and Richard face each other.
John is looking around the city at lights and signs. He hears drums and moves through a small crowd, then squats and watches the drummers. He looks to Jane with a half smile who is standing nearby, then looks back at the drummers. Jane moves through and squats next to him.
Jane: They're probably looking for you. Come on, let's get you home.
Under the street a man sprays a homeless man with something.
Homeless Man: Hey, what are you doing man?
Exterminator: Pest control.
The man lights a match and throws it on the homeless man's blanket then watches the flames.
Jane and John run in a park.
Jane: Hey, slow down
John goes up into a tree.
Jane: Up a tree, great. How did you get out in the first place? How did you find me? You some kind of bloodhound or something?
Tarzan/John: I hunt. I hunted for you.
Jane: Why?
He jumps down and stands in front of her.
Tarzan/John: What are you called?
Jane: My name? Jane Porter.
Tarzan/John: Jane Porter, I am Tarzan.
Jane: I thought your name was John.
They turn to Greystoke building.
Tarzan/John: He calls me John. I'm not going back.
He takes a few steps back.
Jane: I'm sorry, but I have to take you back.
Jane turns to him.
Tarzan/John: He keeps me caged.
Jane: How do I explain this. You belong there and you'll be safe there. It's the law and I'm a cop and it's what's right.
Tarzan/John: No, it's not.
He backs up and stands next to another tree.
Jane: Look. I don't understand. I thought he saved your life.
He turns around and pulls his shirt down to reveal a g.s.w. near his left shoulder.
Tarzan/John: He did not save me.
Jane: That's a gunshot wound.
She takes a couple steps closer.
Jane: What happened to you?
Tarzan/John: It was when I was free.
John in the jungle looking down to the ground. A gorilla lay their back on the ground. A shot is heard. Richard punches a man.
Richard: This is a rescue mission, not a hunting expidition. Put her out of her missery.
John watches as the gorilla is shot again. John starts to grunt and jump from tree to tree angrily. Nash and Richard look up in the trees. A shot is heard. John falls out of the tree and lands on the ground on his back uncontious. Richard comes up and squats next to him.
Richard: It can't be. John?
Present.
Jane: I'm so sorry.
John walks from the tree he climbed earlier and walks over to Jane.
Tarzan/John: I am glad I am here.
He walks up to her as he talks.
Jane: What? How can you say that after all you've been through?
Tarzan/John: Because I found you.
Jane scoffs.
Jane: Right. You don't even know me.
John circles behind her to her left, smells her hair, moves to other shoulder and smells again.
Jane: No, this is crazy. I can't-
They make eye contact and hold it a moment.
Jane: Right. This from a guy who walks barefoot in Manhattin.
She turns and begins to walk away.
Tarzan/John: Your voice.
Jane: I'm alright. Come on, let's get you home.
He follows her. Police cars come. John stands in front of Jane.
Jane: Don't or they'll hurt you.
Cops cuff him.
Jane: Hey, take it easy on him.
John is put in the back of a car. They both still hold eye contact. At the precinct, Jane watches John being taken in back. Captain is talking on the phone.
Captain: Yes, I'll take care of it. I know. Yes. It won't-(Sighs) Yes, yeah, thank you. Yes. Thank you.
Hangs up, looks to Jane as she turns around.
Captain: Clayton will be here in 15. I've got a killer on the streets. We've just got our fourth victim and you've got our resources wasted on this.
Jane: Clayton lied to me. He kidnapped John.
Captain: Clayton is legal custodain.
Jane: Who is holding John against his will. We have to do something.
Captain: There is nothing we can do. He has the law on his side.
Jane: I don't care about the law. This is about right and wrong.
Captain: Look, I'll handle Clayton and get to the bottom of this. I want you gone before he shows up.
Jane: Sir, I-
Captain: Out, now.
Jane leaves. Sam and Jane in Sam's car.
Sam: This whole thing with the Clayton kid, you alright?
Jane: Yeah, what do you mean? I'm fine.
Sam: Hey, Jane this is me here.
Jane: Look, I don't know what happened tonight, but it's over now and I'm okay. So, you want to tell me why we're not going to my apartment?
Sam: Okay, check this out. Mike and the Captain, right, they're digging in every bug business in town. And I'm thinking about the places that are out of business. So I started checking through some old catalogs and bankrupcy records. One name catches my eye.
Hands Jane a folder.
Sam: Dead Crawl Exterminator. I don't know why, but it just nags at me and nags, then it hits me out of the blue. Dead Crawler is an anagram. The same letters spell, are you ready for this? Edward Kreel.
Jane: Just how much scrabble do you play?
Sam: Maybe someone remembers Kreel, maybe it's a copycat afer all. All I know is I got a last known address and I thought you and I would check it out, but I can already guess what you're gonna say.
Jane: What the hell, let's do it.
Sam: Well, I guess I was wrong.
Jane: Well, someone once told me if you want to step up to the show, you gotta trust your gut.
Sam: And who was that?
Jane: I saw it on Dr. Phil.
Two cops in holding cell area.
Cop 1: Boo hoo. Lost another $50 gambling on baseball. So, who is this guy?
John squats down.
Cop 2: Some nut job. What are they going to do without Winters?
John looks up at the two cops who are close to the bars. He jumps up and hits the bars. Michael stands upright hearing an alarm. Finds two cops bound to bars. Michael dashes down the hall.
Captain: Seal the house. Nobody gets out. Nobody.
Officers come to a door. John knocks it down including the officers. He goes to freight elevator area and climbs up and onto a floor. Michael is standing there aiming a flashlight and his gun.
Michael: Hey, that's far enough. On the floor, now.
John steps forward. Michael shoots a shelf on the left in back.
Michael: Get down. Now.
John does. Michael comes up to cuff him.
Michael: You're becoming a pain in the ass, you know that? What is it you want anyway?
Tarzan/John: Jane.
Michael: Wrong answer.
Shoves John down. John flips Michael over, then takes off out door to roof. Michael lets off shot but misses. John jumps down some ladders, then slides across wire. Michael stops and looks unable to find him.
Sam and Jane at old warehouse.
Sam: Alright, this is it. You ready?
They enter. Draw guns and flashlight.
Jane: Hey, Sam, Look.
Points at driver door sign on van with flashlight.
Jane: Nice work.
They take a few more steps and see a set of stairs leading up.
Jane: I'm gonna go up.
Sam: Keep in touch.
He continues looking around while Jane goes upstairs. Jane walks upstairs and finds t.v. on and recent clothes on recliner.
Sam: (On walkman cell phone) Nothing here. You?
Jane: I might have somebody.
Sam: I'm on my way.
Sam heads for the stairs. Jane heads for the t.v. Sam comes up the stairs. Jane goes to front of chair and sees it empty. Sam is hit on head with door to upstairs and tumbles down stairs uncontious.
Jane: Sam, are you there?
T.v. turns off. Jane sees it has been unplugged. Man is behind her. She turns around, he knocks the gun away from his face. They struggle. Her gun lands shooting once. John hears shot and her voice. The man and Jane exchange blows/hits. He pushes her. They crash through wall. He gets up first. He knocks shelf on top of her pinning her legs.
Man: I can't go to jail. My father died in jail.
John crashes through above window on top of man. John beats man. Man shoves John off. They fight some more. Jane sees man reach for pipe and hit John on side of head.
Jane: John! No! Get-
John throws man in pile of stuff in corner. He goes to Jane, takes her hand, lifts the shelf, and pulls her out.
Tarzan/John: Are you hurt?
Jane: I'll survive. Let's go get Sam.
Man gets up, picks up gas flamer, moves to chemicals. John runs, then jumps up and lands on man.
Jane: John!
Explosion. Jane gets blown through wall. She looks back.
Jane: John! John!
More fire. Jane scurries down the stairs.
Jane: Sam, come on. We gotta go.
Sam wakes up and goes with her. Fire department hose down building. Michael talks with Sam.
Michael: Bug guy's name is Sam Wheaton, but guess the name on the birth certificate? Kreel. Gregory Kreel.
Sam: I knew it.
Captain: Like father, like son. What about the Clayton kid?
Michael: Fire deptartment says no chance.
Michael goes to Jane.
Michael: Hey, I'm really sorry. I have to stick around and wrap this thing up.
Jane: I know.
Michael: Come one, Gabe'll drive you home. Careful.
Jane stands and they walk to a nearby police car.
Michael: Jane, I almost lost you tonight.
Jane: No you didn't. I'm here now and everything's alright.
Michael: No, everything's not okay. All our being sensible and not rush into things is wrong. I was wrong. I want you to marry me, Jane. Marry me.
Jane: Um.
Michael: I'm sorry. Let's get you home. Careful.
She gets in car.
Michael: I'll be over as soon as I can.
Closes door. Jane is driven off. Nash comes to Richard.
Nash: What now?
Richard: He can't be dead. Keep looking.
Jane steps out of shower and looks in mirror. She hears a sound in her room. She turns the light off, grabs her gun, and goes in to find John.
Jane: You're alright.
She tosses gun on bed and coems up to him.
Jane: You can't stay in the city. We gotta get you back home.
Tarzan/John: No.
Jane: But everyone thinks you're dead.
Jane smiles.
Jane: Now's our only chance to-
Tarzan/John: No. I don't belong there.
Jane: What do you mean?
Jane's smile fades.
Tarzan/John: I belong with you.
He leans to her right shoulder and smells her scent. Jane closes her eyes not moving. The door knob turns. John sees. Jane turns around, John disappears.
Nicki: Hey, you okay?
Jane: Yeah, I'm-
Turns to see John gone. Goes up to window, looks out, sees John on adjasent roof squatting. He slowly stands as she watches him.
End of "Pilot"
