STARGATE SG-1
2X06 - Thor's Chariot

Transcribed by Sarae

Scene: SGC - 'Gate Room/Control Room
Sam is pointing to the star map at the back of the Control Room. The rest of SG-1 and Hammond are present.

Carter: "P5C-629 is located directly in the corridor the Goa'ulds used to reach our solar system. This is our best platform for the Seeker Project. Now, the theory is that a Goa'uld ship that magnitude would leave a foot print, even at thrust beyond lightspeed. So we're using the technology we already possess we can determine..."

Suddenly, the alarm begins wailing.

Hamond: "What the hell?" (He and SG-1 walk to stand behind the female technician.) " No one's due back today."

Female Technician: "We have an inbound traveller. No SG signal code." (Then over the intercom) "Intruder alert. Inbound traveller is unauthorised. Repeat, inbound traveller is unauthorised."

The iris never opens, but we hear a thump against it. The 'gate deactivates and the iris is opened to reveal nothing. There are puzzled looks on the faces of SG-1.

Scene: SGC - Briefing Room
SG-1 and Hammond are present around the conference table.

Carter: "There was no organic residue, but they did pick up a faint nuclear signature. Traces of iridium."

Jackson: "Iridium, that's the radioactive stuff we put in the Sagan lnstitute box we left on Cimmeria."

Carter: "You got it. I wanted it there because it would leave a very recognizable signature."

Jackson: "Same stuff?"

Carter: "Yeah."

O'Neill: "Weren't the locals supposed to give that box to...Thor? Whoever, whatever he is?"

Teal'c: "We assume he is a member of the Asgard, an extremely advanced culture."

O'Neill: "The fact of the matter is, we really don't know."

Jackson: "The Asgards must've gotten the box and sent an answer. General, we have to respond before they leave."

O'Neill: "Um, you all know I take great pride in my title as Mr. Positive. However, we did destroy their de-Goa'ulding thing. Might not they look unkindly on that?"

Jackson: "We did that to save Teal'c. I'm sure the Asgards didn't expect to trap a Jaffa who isn't an enemy. I'm sure they'd understand."

Hammond: "All right. I'll tell you what. We'll send a probe though at 1300 hours. If everything checks out, you have a go."

Scene: SGC - 'Gate Room

Tech: "Probe proceeding to iris!"

Scene: SGC - Control Room
Sam is manning the computer that receives MALP telemetry.

Carter: "The probe should be there... now."
The video feedback shows a dead or wounded Cimmerian lying on the ground, sword in hand.

Teal'c: "Those wounds appear to have been caused by staff weapons."
The video pans further to reveal a Jaffa along side the Cimmerian. The Jaffa bears the mark of a bird on his forehead.

O'Neill: "Friend of yours, Teal'c?"

Teal'c: "Clearly Cimmeria is no longer safe from the Goa'uld."

Jackson: "Whoa, pan right. That's Gairwyn. The woman who showed us around. She's saying something."

Carter: "Turn up the gain on the MALP's mike."

Gairwyn (crying and cradling the head of a male in her arms): "Please...the Etins have come. Please help us. Please...the Etins have come. Please help."

Scene: SGC - Briefing Room

Jackson: "Cimmerians use the word Etin for Goa'ulds. Gairwyn said the Etins are there. For a thousand years, Cimmeria was safe from Goa'uld attack and then we show up and screw up Thor's technology."

Teal'c: "Daniel Jackson is correct. The Goa'uld usually send an advance scout though the Stargate to determine a planet's worth and vulnerability. If none of the scouts report back, it is a deterrent to invasion."

Carter: "The point is, sir, the Goa'uld are there and the locals aren't exactly much of a match for them."

O'Neill: "General, if we did screw up their world, we should take a little responsibility for fixing it, don't you think?"

Hammond: "I understand that. But let me play devil's advocate for a moment here. It's not our world. Is it really any of our concern?"

Teal'c: "The destruction of the hammer device to save my life may have caused this. If so, I am responsible."

O'Neill: "General, I gave the order."

Daneil: "And I fired the staff at the machine."

Carter: "And I...was there."

O'Neill: "To answer your question, sir...yes, I think we should be concerned."

Hammond: "All right. But keep your heads up on this one."

Scene: Cimmeria
SG-1 walks through the Stargate.

Carter: "No hostiles in sight, sir."

They survey the area, noting several dead Cimmeria and a Jaffa or two. Jack notices something off in the distance to their right. It is a pyramid ship under construction. Sam comes to see what he's looking at.

O'Neill: "Holy...Kids...Now, that...is no weekend hunting lodge."

They all turn as they hear a twig snap behind them. Teal'c aims his staff weapon.

Jackson: "Gairwyn!"

Gairwyn: "You returned! Kendra said you'd come. She never doubted it."

Carter: "What happened?"

Gairwyn: "We thought it was Ragnorock."

Jackson: "That's the Norse Armageddon...the end of the world."

Gairwyn: "There was fire in the heavens. Five or six bursts in the sky in a straight line. But no sound. Then we heard an evil thunder and a great metal point came through the clouds..."

Teal'c: "A Goa'uld Hatak, a pyramid ship."

Gairwyn: "Kendra knew it was the Etins, even before the burning and the killing started. Our village is gone and most of our farms."

Jackson: "You said Kendra knew we'd come. How?"

Gairwyn: "She gave me a box. She told me to fly it through the portal. She said you'd know what it meant. The cost of sending it was great."

Carter: "The men who died here?"

Gairwyn: 'My husband and his brothers."

Carter: "I'm sorry."
A staff blast explodes near the base of the 'gate. More blasts follow and a Jaffa sounds a warning horn.

O'Neill: "All right...get under cover. Teal'c!" (O'Neill and Teal'c lay down cover fire while Daniel and Sam get Gairwyn away. Jack fires a few volleys, then throws a grenade.) "Let's go!" (Two more Jaffa chase Jack and Teal'c through the Cimmerian woods, firing the entire time. Eventually, Jack and Teal'c shake their followers. They surprise Sam, Daniel, and Gairwyn, who nearly attacks Jack with her sword.) "Agh! Everybody all right?"

Carter: "Yeah."

O'Neill: "All right...where to?"

Jackson: "Well, uh, as a former Goa'uld host, Kendra would probably be a help. Can you take us to her?"

Gairwyn: "This way."

Scene: Cimmeria - Kendra's Grave

Gairwyn: "Kendra and her family reside here. Hopefully, she is now with Thor." (Gairwyn walks to Kendra's grave.) "My dearest friend. Kendra used her knowledge only to heal...and this was her reward. They've already killed over half of our people." (Later...) "It's customary to leave a person's favorite items outside their grave to take with them on their journey to Thor. These items are of no use now to any of us. They belong with Kendra."

Sam is looking over the items. There appears to be a Goa'uld hand device and a healing device. Sam puts on the hand device.

Jackson: "Sam?"
She turns the palm toward herself and the devices starts to glow, startling both Gairwyn and her.

Gairwyn: "You possess the power!"

Carter: "What?"

Jackson: "Well, that would make sense, wouldn't it?"

Carter: "Why?"

Jackson: "Well, Kendra retained the ability to use Goa'uld technology because she used to be a host to a Goa'uld. You must be able to retain the ability 'cuz you were a host to Jolinar."

Carter: "Yeah, but... I have no control over this."

Gairwyn: "Kendra said it took her years to master the magic of the power."

O'Neill (just walking into the picture): "Are you ready to move outta here?"

Jackson: "Uh...little discovery here. Sam seems to have the ability to use Goa'uld technology."

O'Neill: "Really? Let's see."

Carter: "Well, it-it seems to have a mind of its own...sir."

Gairwyn: "Concentrate."
Sam tries again. After a few seconds, she blows up a piece of ground in front of them, sending dirt and chunks of debris flying. They are all startled...Sam most of all.

O'Neill: "Hey, hey! Watch where you're...pointin' that thing!"

Carter: "Sorry." (Slightly freaked, she struggles to remove the device as quickly as possible.)

Jackson: "Do you realise what this means? I mean...Sam could use one of these ribbon devices to help us fight the Goa'ulds! She could use one of those healing devices we saw Kendra use." (Sam picks up the healing device next.) "Just... concentrate, like you did with the other thing." (Sam tries to make it work, but has no luck.)

Gairwyn: "You mustn't give up. You must strive to master control of the power. It takes time."

O'Neill: "Yeah, well, that's gonna have to wait. Why dontcha bring that stuff with you. We should find a place that's a little less public."

Gairwyn: "Let me show you where my people hide."

Scene: Cimmeria
After a trek through the country side, they arrive at a cave entrance and follow Gairwyn inside. As they enter the interior of the cave, several men draw swords.

Olaf: "Halt!"

Gairwyn: "Olaf, these are friends. They came to us through the ring."

Olaf: These are the dogs of Midgardr. Thor has abandoned us to the Etins because of them...because they destroyed Thor's hammer! It is these that have brought this down on us!"

Gairwyn: "And it is these who can save us! With their help, we can still summon the power of Thor."

Olaf: "Don't you understand, woman? Thor has abandoned us because of their evil."

O'Neill: "For crying out loud, don't you understand that this woman is right? We can help you if you'll let us."

Olaf: "How?"

Carter: "We've fought the Goa'uld before and we've beaten them."

Teal'c: "And I will remain here to do battle with you until the Goa'uld are driven from this land."

O'Neill: "Of course, we have to know what we're up against first. You willing to help us on that one?"

Olaf: "I know a way around the patrols. I'll take you."

O'Neill: "Good."
Teal'c and Jack follow Olaf back into the woods.

Later...
Sam is looking at the healing device again, trying to make it work, with no success.

Gairwyn: "If Olaf is right and Thor has rejected us, our last hope lies with you."

Jackson: "Gairwyn... I doubt Thor's angry. Now, he may just be far away. That's why he left the hammer to protect you."

Gairwyn: "If only we could gain access to the Hall of Thor's Might. I know he would help us."

Jackson: "What is the Hall of Thor's Might?"

Gairwyn: "Oh...the ancient tales tell of a hall in which Thor placed all of his powers to help us, to defend us."

Jackson: "That may signify some sort of Asgard weapon, or weapons."

Carter: "You think they kept weapons hidden here somewhere?"

Jackson: "Where is this Hall of Thor's Might?"

Scene: Cimmeria
Jack, Teal'c and Olaf are scoping out the Goa'uld.

Olaf (pointing): "There!"
We see a valley and a ridge across the valley from where Jack, Teal'c and Olaf are crouching. On the top of that ridge are three pyramids at various stages of completion. There are several groups of tents in the valley and many Jaffa milling around.

O'Neill: "Now...you wait here?"

Olaf: "All right."

Jack and Teal'c move closer. They stop and Jack pulls out his field glasses. He takes a closer look.

O'Neill: "What's with the heads? They look like those guys who used to be with Ra back on Abydos."

Teal'c: "They are Horus. They guard the family of Ra. These probably guard the Goa'uld Heru-ur."

O'Neill: "And he'd be Ra's what? Cousin? Uncle? What?"

Teal'c: "He is the son of Ra and of Hathor."

O'Neill: "Nice pedigree."

Teal'c: "He's a very powerful System Lord. Much feared, even among the Goa'uld. He is a conqueror. He eliminates all who dare tread in his shadow, including other Goa'uld."

They hear a commotion behind them and turn to discover that several Jaffa have captured Olaf.

Heru-ur (in full armor): "Kneel before your God!"

Olaf: "God is Thor! He taught us to stand as equals!" (The Jaffa behind him smacks him behind the knees to make him kneel.) "Agh!"

Heru-ur (retracts his helmet to reveal his head): "Your god cannot help you now. Only I can. Strangers came through the device you call the portal. Who are they? Answer! Answer. Answer!"
Jack and Teal'c are preparing to fire at the Jaffa.

Olaf: "Thor taught us to have... no fear of death!"

Heru-ur: "What did he teach you about pain?"
Heru-ur uses a hand device on Olaf.

Man: "No! Aaargh!"
Teal'c and Jack let lose, they take out all the Jaffa, but Heru-ur uses a personal shield device and is protected. The duo rush forward and pick up Olaf. As they are leaving, Teal'c turns and fires his staff weapon at one of the staff weapons Heru-ur was reaching for. They two exchange a look and Heru-ur's eyes glow.
More Jaffa arrive as the three are making their escape.

Heru-ur: "Place heavy guard at the Chaapa-ai! Find them!"

Scene: Cimmeria - the Caves
Jack, Teal'c and Olaf return.

Jackson: "What happened? Did you run into Apophis?"

O'Neill: "Not exactly."

Teal'c: "It was the Goa'uld called Heru-ur."

Jackson: "You're kidding!"

O'Neill: "Friend of yours?"

Jackson: "Horus the Elder, ancient Egyptian god. Pretty mean one, especially considering the fact that his parents were Ra and Hathor..."

O'Neill (interrupting): "We know."

Carter: "So, did you find anything we can use?"

O'Neill: "Well, the good news is, with enough artillery, we could blow those pyramids to high hell."

Jackson: "And the bad news is?"

Teal'c: "The Stargate is now heavily guarded. The Goa'uld are aware of our existence here."

Carter: "Which means we can't evacuate the Cimmerians."

Jackson: "Well, I guess we'll just have to hole up in here a while till things calm down."

Teal'c: "Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson. They will, in fact, calm up."

O'Neill: "He means things will escalate, of course."

Teal'c: "The new pyramids in the valley are landing pedestals for the Goa'uld mother ships. They will most likely arrive very soon and contain large numbers of death gliders."

O'Neill: "I'm afraid we're on our own, kids."

Carter: "If-if we can use C4 to blow up a Goa'uld ship, couldn't we use it to blow up the camp?"

O'Neill: "Well, it's a small practical problem. If we use all the C4 to blow the camps now, what do we use when the ships and gliders show up later?"

Jackson: "Guys, there's a-a...there's a third option here we might want to consider. There's a legend around here about a Hall of Thor's Might."

O'Neill: "Daniel... there's a time and place for mythology."

Carter: "Uh, with all due respect, sir, we thought Thor's hammer was a myth until we proved it was real."

Jackson: J"ack, I think Thor's might may refer to... uh... an alien weapon or weapons that have been hidden away for centuries."

Carter: "We could use the fire power, sir."

Jackson: "And Gairwyn said she'd take us there."

O'Neill: "Well, much as I hate to admit it, it sounds like our old buddy Thor is our best bet. Why don't you two try to find this...weapon, or whatever it is? Teal'c and I'll lay some explosives...see if we can slow the attack."

Carter: "Yes, sir."

O'Neill: "Olaf?"
Teal'c, Jack and Olaf move out again.

Scene: Cimmeria - At the obelisk entrance to the Hall of Thor's Might
Gairwyn has brought Daniel and Sam to the obelisk.

Gairwyn: "This is it."

Jackson: "This is the Hall of Might?"

Gairwyn: "You were expecting something different?"

Jackson: "Well, uh...uh, maybe a hall?"

Carter: I don't see anything that could be a weapon."

Gairwyn: "I'm sure this is it."

Jackson: "Well, maybe this will send us somewhere else. Like the obelisk sent Jack and Teal'c to Thor's hammer."

Gairwyn: "It is forbidden to touch the stone."
Daniel, of course, ignores this and reaches out a hand to touch the red jewel in the center of the obelisk. The jewel begins to glow and a beam washes over the trio.

Scene: Cimmeria - Inside the Hall of Thor's Might
The trio are now in pitch blackness.

Carter: "Daniel?"

Jackson: "Wow! What a ride."

Gairwyn: "Where are we?"

Jackson: "Agh!" (Sam shines a flashlight right in his eyes.) "Well, this is a step in the right direction. At least it fits the definition of the word ''hall''."

Carter: "I have a really bad feeling about this."

Jackson: "I don't understand. No inscriptions, no alien devices, and no visible way out."

Carter: "Wait." (Her flashlight illuminates a smaller obelisk on the opposite wall. The jewel in it's center begins to glow and a hologram image of Thor is emitted.)

Thor: "I am Thor. You are brave to come before me."

Gairwyn: "O mighty Thor, we need your help."

Thor: "However, only the worthy may witness Thor's might."

Gairwyn: "Do you not think me worthy?" (The hologram disappears.) "Why has he forsaken me?"

Carter: "It's just a holographic recording. It's being projected through that hole in the ceiling."

Jackson: "Oh, yeah, if you say so."

Carter: "So... what does it mean?"

Jackson: "I'm not sure. Maybe somehow we have to prove that we're worthy before he'll trust us with his might."

Carter: "Which you still think is a weapon."

Jackson: "I'm hoping so, at this point."

Gairwyn: "How can we prove our worth?"

Jackson: "Well, given that the rest of the room is empty, I assume it has something to do with this stone."

They begin to walk toward the obelisk, but retreat when they feel the floor start quaking and hear a great rumbling.

Gairwyn: "Thor is preparing to strike us down!"

Jackson: "No, he's not! He's-he's not a wrathful god."

Carter: "Then what is he doing?"

Suddenly, most of the floor in front of them falls away to reveal a deep cavern. There is still a narrow strip of floor connecting them to the obelisk.

Jackson: "Oh, this is... this is definitely a test."

Carter: "So, uh... we're supposed to go across this?"

Jackson: "Yeah... I don't suppose this is the best time to bring up my problem with heights."

Scene: Cimmeria - Forest
We see Jack and Teal'c setting explosives out in the forest. Then we see Olaf watching with curiosity.

Scene: Cimmeria - The Hall of Might

Carter: "We had to cross a beam way worse than this in basic training."

Jackson: "Please, be my... be my guest."

Carter: "Of course, we had a net." (Sam crosses the beam.) "OK. Come on. Come on..."

Gairwyn starts across the beam. When she is about half-way, the ground shakes and she stumbles. She is now laying on the beam, hanging on.

Gairwyn: (gasps) "Oh!"

Carter: "Gairwyn! Just... Just slide across. You can do it."

Gairwyn: "Thor shook the beam! He wants me dead!"

Jackson: "No, he doesn't!"

Carter: "It's OK. Just stay there. I'll come and get you."

Jackson: "No. I'll do it. You're already across."

Daniel starts across the beam.

Jackson: "Yeah, I'm right behind you now. Almost there...OK...now, what we're gonna do here, you're gonna give me your hand. I'm gonna help you get you back on track...and then we're gonna finish this thing together. OK? OK."

Just as Daniel is bending down to help her, the beam gives way and both Daniel and Gairwyn tumble downward.
Gairwyn: "Argh!"

Sam is momentarily stunned, but then sees both of them lying on the now restored floor and slowly walks over to them.

Carter: "Are you guys OK? OK. So... uh... what was that all about?"

The Thor hologram reappears.

Thor: "You have shown true selflessness and bravery. Willingness to sacrifice oneself to save another is honourable trait. I salute you. Now you must add wisdom to courage. Solve the riddle of the runes and I will show you my true might."

The hologram disappears again. They move closer to the obelisk, shining their flashlights on it.

Jackson: ""How did he know what we did?"

Carter: "There must be some sort of advanced sensors in here. So, uh, now what?"

A beam washes over them again and they are transported to another room. There are four runes on the wall and the room is illuminated by a fire in the center.

Jackson: "Now we try to solve the riddle of the runes."

Scene: Cimmeria - Forest
Jack and Teal'c are still setting charges. Olaf notices a contingent of Jaffa approaching.

Olaf: "Sons of Midgardr! The Etins approach! A large contingent coming up the lower path. We must fight!"

O'Neill: "Yeah, yeah, yeah." (Jack drags him into hiding with he and Teal'c.)

Olaf: "You said you would help us fight."

Teal'c: "Quiet."
There are several explosions and Jaffa go flying. Jack and Teal'c shoot several other Jaffa. A quiet descends.

Olaf: "Thunder...and fire! You do possess Thor's might. Hyaaaaaa!" (Suddenly he hurls a hatchet in between Teal'c and Jack. It hits a Jaffa that was sneaking up behind them.) "Now we are matched."

O'Neill: "Thanks."
There are Goa'uld warning horns heard blaring.

Teal'c: "O'Neill, another patrol approaches. We should leave this area immediately."

Olaf: "Come."

Scene: Cimmeria - Hall of Thor's Might

Carter: "Daniel, uh, we don't have time for this."

Jackson: "Well, the faster we solve the riddles, the faster we get whatever Thor's might is."

Carter: "Riddles. OK."

Gairwyn: "Is Thor testing us?"

Jackson: "I figure it's some sort of safeguard. He wants to be sure that whoever finds the weapons is smart enough to understand the technology and use it wisely. Its like he wants to be sure his children have grown up enough before he, uh, hands them the keys to the armoury. Which might not have been a bad idea if we'd done the same thing on Earth."

Carter: "Well, it doesn't make any sense that he would waste this kind of time when the planet's under attack."

Jackson: "Well, remember, he thinks this is a protected planet...that his anti-Goa'uld devices are infallible. I mean, he couldn't know there would be any hurry to find whatever Thor's might is."

Carter: "Well, there-there is a hurry. C-Can you solve this?"

Jackson: "Uh...OK. Um...they aren't letters, or words. Originally, runes were ideographic."

Carter: "So each rune stands for an idea."

Jackson: "Right. Now, the first one is associated with Thor's protective power."

Carter: "Well, that could mean anything. It could be the Goa'uld detector they had at the gate or-or even the hammer device."

Jackson: "Uh...this last one represents a wagon, but it was also called Thor's chariot. Now, that could be a... spaceship."

Carter: "Great. What about the middle two?"

Jackson: "Um... One is a dice cup, or fate. The other is a horse or... movement."

Scene: Cimmeria - Forest
The trio is hurrying through the forest. They continue to hear Jaffa warning horns blaring in the distance.

O'Neill: "What's going on, Teal'c?"

Teal'c: "They are signalling their position. They will close into an interlaced pattern that will sweep in and corner us. It is an old Jaffa hunting technique."

O'Neill: "Come on, Daniel."

Scene: Cimmeria - Hall of Thor's Might
Sam and Daniel walk to another wall and find a triangle, a pentagon, a circle and a square on the wall.

Jackson: "I've never seen simple geometric shapes in any runes. I have no idea what these are about."

Carter: "Well, if we don't come up with an answer soon, we're gonna have to find a way outta here. The colonel will need our help."

Gairwyn (who is looking at another set of markings on another wall): "Daniel... could the answer be here?"

Jackson: "No. Those aren't runes. They're pictographs." (sighs) "OK. One wall has runes, one has pictographs, and one has simple geometric shapes. I have no idea what he wants us to do."

The hologram reappears.

Thor: "There is no shame. Perhaps in more time you will have come of age."

Jackson: "Uh, excuse me. Could you, uh...could you just, uh...please just... One second!" (The hologram appears to freeze.) "OK. Norse runes were ideas, but in later years they became letters. But they were also numbers, three...fourteen...fifteen... nine. It's no use. It-it-it-it's... It-it doesn't mean anything."

Carter: "Yes, it does. 3.14159. It's pi!"

Jackson: "It's pi?"

Carter: "Pi!"

Jackson: It's pi?! It-its..is that-that's what you wanted us to figure out? Right, um, the word ''Pi'' is an Earth term. We have to depict it somehow...on the geometric shapes."
They walk back over to the wall with the shapes on it. They approach the circle and Daniel begins touching it, exploring.

Carter: "This has to be it."

Jackson: "The inside of the circle is soft like sand."

Carter: "Pi is the formula for finding the circumference of a circle by measuring the radius."

Jackson: "The radius." (Daniel draws a radius in the circle. The sand begins moving and an orb is pushed through the sand. The orb is read with ornate gold markings on it.) "That's it."

Daniel touches the orb and the hologram dissolves to reveal a projection of Thor...the real one.

Jackson: "Oh, my God."

Thor: "I am the actual one... whom you know as Thor."

Scene: Cimmeria - the Caves
Jack, Teal'c and Olaf return.

O'Neill: "Olaf, get your people as far back into the cave as possible. Keep them quiet! Put the fires out." (Then turning to Teal'c who has followed them in.) "How're we doing?"

Teal'c: "We have been located, O'Neill."

O'Neill (sighs): "Come on, Daniel."

Scene: Cimmeria - Hall of Thor's Might

Carter: "Daniel, this is uncanny. It looks just like the descriptions of the Roswell Greys back home."

Jackson: "I guess there's some truth to those stories after all."

Carter: "You think the Asgards may have visited Earth?"

Jackson: "Why not?"

Thor: "I am the supreme commander of the Asgard fleet."

Gairwyn: "How can this be?"

Thor: "In the ten-span since I created this world, you are the first to reach this level of contact. You have finally grown wise enough to see me in my true form."

Gairwyn: "These are the wise ones. I would never have come this far without their help."

Carter: "Gairwyn, it's a hologram. It was probably recorded a thousand years ago. It can't hear you."

Thor: "On the contrary. My image is a living transmission. I am communicating to you from my quarters aboard the Asgard ship Biliskner."

Jackson: "You mean you're the real...Thor? This is...this is...this is great. Um...we need your help. The Goa'uld are-are here."

Thor: "Impossible. Cimmeria is a safe world."

Jackson: "Yeah...we sorta messed that up."

Carter: "Oh, Daniel...careful."

Jackson: "If we want them to be our friends, we have to show them they can trust us. You see we-we came here a year ago to meet you and your people, to make an alliance against the Goa'uld. One of our-our party, a Jaffa, was trapped in your labyrinth."

Thor: "The Jaffa serve the Goa'uld."

Gairwyn: "This one does not. He stands with them, and now with us, to fight the Etins."

Jackson: "You see, so, we had no choice but to destroy the hammer to free our friend."

Thor: "And by doing so, you have opened Cimmeria to attack by the Goa'uld."

Jackson: "Yeah, apparently."

Carter: So, uh... if you have any weapons that might be of help, we would really like to set things straight."

Thor: "Weapons?"

Jackson: "Isn't that what all those tests were here to protect?"

Thor: "The tests were designed to tell us when the Cimmerians would be advanced enough to see us as we really are. We did not anticipate outside interference."

Jackson: "Well, you see, we don't -we didn't mean to interfere. No, wait!"

The beam shoots out of the obelisk again. Sam and Daniel are back out in the forest in front of the first obelisk.

Jackson: "Where's Gairwyn?"

Carter: "Good question."

Scene: Cimmeria - the Caves
Daniel and Sam arrive.

O'Neill: "That's timing for you. The parade's about to begin."

Carter: "They're getting pretty close. How many are out there?"

Teal'c: "We are outnumbered approximately 20 to one."

O'Neill: "Daniel, you look suspiciously empty-handed."

Dancil: "Yerr...yeah."

O'Neill: "Y-y-yeah what?"

Jackson: "There's nothing, Jack."

O'Neill: "Nothing?"

Carter: "Well, we did meet the real Thor."

O'Neill: "Did you, now? Nice fella?" (An explosion rocks the cave. There is a combined gasp from those in the cave.) "All right. Here we go."

SG-1 head outside the cave entrance and take up defensive positions. Teal'c stands a bit longer to survey the enemy before ducking down with the others. There are a lot of Jaffa with big, honkin' guns.

Teal'c: "Shield yourselves!"

Jaffa: "Intruders...from the Chaapa'ai! Throw down your weapons! Surrender now and the slaves of this world will be allowed to live and serve Heru-ur! Fight, and they will all die!"

Carter: "Colonel, we don't have enough weapons to go around."

Teal'c: "They will all be killed, O'Neill. Women and children included."

Jackson: "If we are responsible for this invasion, we can't allow that to happen."

O'Neill turns to see a young child clutch at the legs of his/her parent. Then he looks back at the Jaffa and raises his weapon in the air in a show of surrender. The rest of SG-1 soon follows suit.

O'Neill (to Olaf): "Take care of your people."

Scene: Cimmeria - Path to Goa'uld Camp
SG-1 is being escorted by a whole host of Jaffa.

Jackson: "Before they rode into battle, the Sioux used to say ''This is a good day to die.''"
Jack smacks Daniel's arm.

Suddenly there is a loud clap of thunder. Everyone stops walking and looks skyward. Jack looks around at the Jaffa, who seem intimidated.

Jackson: "Then again, maybe not."
Daniel taps Jack's back to get his attention. Jack looks up to see a massive black storm cloud forming over the pyramids.

O'Neill: "Oh...my!"

Jackson: "Ladies and gentlemen, I think this is... Thor's chariot."
An Asgard mother ship descends through the cloud.

Teal'c: "An Asgard mother ship. I've heard them described in Jaffa legend."
Suddenly, beams of light engulf the Jaffa and they disappear. We see Heru-ur walk through the Stargate as he sees the Asgard taking his entire camp and the pyramids away in beams of light. Then Gairwyn is deposited on the road behind them.

Gairwyn: "The Etins are gone. Thor sends his thanks. It was your help that made this possible."

Jackson: "Well, to be honest with you, I think we got kinda lucky."

Gairwyn: "He told me to give you a message to satisfy your curiosity. I'm to tell you he's a member of a species who have visited your world often. They are a friend to all, protector of all...except the Goa'uld, with whom they are at war."

O'Neill: "Well, that's very nice...but I'd still like to meet the old guy."

Gairwyn: "Well, he said that, like us, you're still much too young. For us there is still much to rebuild. Thor has promised to leave an Asgard teacher behind to help us."

Teal'c: "Then Cimmeria will be a safe world again. That is good."

Gairwyn: "Yes, it is. I'm to tell you that Thor's new hammer will make an exception for the one called Teal'c. You are welcome here any time."
