Notes - The following is the first of the four Lexx TV movies that formed the first season of the show. Therefore it is considered as the series premiere.

Credits
We see some cylindrical objects move past a background of stars
and a brightly-colored nebula or something
Kai (voice-over): I am Kai, Last of the Brunnen-G. Millennia
ago, the Brunnen-G lead Humanity to victory in the War against the Insect
Civilization. The Time Prophet predicted that I would be the
one to destroy the Divine Order and the League of Twenty Thousand Planets.
Someday, that will happen. But not today, as today is my day of death.
The day our story begins.
The scene disappears in a flash of light, and then the Divine Shadow's
symbol appears, with the words "Tales From A Parallel Universe", and then
"1.0 I Worship His Shadow", and then another star-field background.
The camera pans up, and a planet appears at the top of the screen, and
we see six tiny dots flying from it, they fly toward the camera, and we
see that they're scorpion-like vessels with the Brunnen-G warriors in them
Kai: Vyo e o. Vyo e o, hom va-a re.
Brunnen-G Warriors: Vyo e ra, jerum Brunenji. Vyo e o,
hom va-a re. Vyo e ra, (we see Kai now) jerum Brunenji, vyo
e o, hom va-a re, vyo e ra, jerum Brunenji, vyo e ra, jerum Brunenji
We see a giant ship, hard to describe, but something like a cross
between looking like an eight-pointed star and a spider web. It is
shooting greenish energy-pulses at the planet below, creating large black
splotches where it collides
Kai: Stingers!
The "tails" of the Scorpions are lifted so that their tips are pointed
in the same direction as the ships
Brunnen-G Warriors: Stingers ready.
The tips open up, revealing a missile inside
Kai: Our one chance, and our one chance alone, is to hit His
Shadow's control pod. Good luck. Very, very good luck.
A Brunnen-G: Foreshadow in range
Kai: Fire now!
The Brunnen-G fire, there's an explosion, but it doesn't seem to
do the Foreshadow any damage, the planet continues to be bombarded, and
two Brunnen-G ships are hit, exploding, then a third one is hit, we see
one more hit on the planet, this one causes explosions all over the surface,
we hear screams, then we see Kai's face, an expression of shocked horror
on it, which then changes to determination
Kai: Crash into the Control Pod!
The Foreshadow is now shooting directly at the little vessels, one
is quickly destroyed, then we follow Kai, in the background, a fifth vessel
is destroyed, leaving Kai as the only surviving Brunnen-G, we see the Control
Pod on the Foreshadow, it seems to be covered in some kind of glass, but
large doors are covering the glass, Kai is avoiding fire, and crashes into
the Control Pod just barely in time to break thru the glass, unfortunately,
the damage appears to be minor. Kai is thrown out of his vessel,
landing on his back, as the doors continue closing, and within seconds
are closed.
The scene changes, and we see the a robed man walking along, we
only see his legs, he walks up to Kai
Kai: His Shadow
His Shadow: His Divine Shadow, yes.
Kai: The Brunnen-G will defeat you.
His Shadow: I do not think so. The Power of Order has
destroyed your planet, the Power of Order will destroy you, and you are
the last of the Brunnen-G left alive.
Kai: The Time Prophet has seen your Order destroyed by the Brunnen-G
His Shadow unsheathes a knife, and we see his head, or rather, the
part of his robe covering his head, he is completely covered from head
to toe.
His Shadow: The Time Prophet's vision appears to be flawed.
He sinks his knife into Kai's chest, Kai dies. His Shadow
places his hands above Kai's face, and light goes from Kai to His Shadow's
hands, we see images going from Kai's face to His Shadow.
Officer: We will incinerate the carcass.
His Shadow: No. This last specimen of a now-extinct
culture of romantic dreamers merits punishment beyond death.
Transport it to the Bio-Scholars.
His Shadow bends down and picks up a piece of Kai's ship.
His Shadow: An insect. Curious.
2008 YEARS LATER
We see a planetoid with a small portion of it covered in a brown
region, shaped as a triangular grid. The words THE CLUSTER CAPITAL
OF THE LEAGUE OF 20,000 PLANETS appear over it. Now, for the capital
of an empire extending over 20,000 planets, the inhabited portion of The
Cluster appears unrealistically small, to me. We see the sun rising
over it. We now see the surface. It is exceedingly dismal,
the sky is covered with ugly brownish clouds, there's some street lights,
but they're not very bright, the whole place looks dark and foreboding,
in the background, we see a lot of ships, very distant, so that they're
hard to see. We now see Stan, he is sleeping in a very tiny box,
perhaps no more than 3 or 4 feet wide, and barely long enough for his body.
It looks to be about as tall as it is wide, less than 100 cubic feet in
volume. By his feet is a darkened circle, there is music playing,
and the screen lights up, it is a very vague light that clears into two
hands, it is in black-and-white, the whole time, Stan is trying to ignore
the voice to get a few more zees. This film is very future-retro,
completely in black-and-white, with martial music in the background, a
scratchy, like a very old film.
Voice: Only a thin dimensional barrier separates us from the
festering evil, the malignant depravity, and alien chaos of the Dark Zone.
(the hands separate, and we see on the left, a maroon-colored dot, and
on the left, a greenish dot, the dots expand into two larger spheres)
The Dark Zone is not separate, like two different planets. The Dark
Zone co-exists in the same space as our universe, in the same place, at
the same time. (the spheres lose their color becoming grey, and they
merge into a single sphere). The Dark Zone has no rules, no sense,
no Order. We give thanks to His Divine Shadow for his ceaseless vigilance,
protecting our universe of Light and Order from the Horrors and Disorder
of the Dark Zone. We worship His Shadow, long may he reign!
A badly-drawn computer face appears, the voice has the quality of
computer voices you hear on automated systems, the kind with a few stock
phrases put together, it also seems to be in need of maintenance, as it
skips in several places.
Computer Voice: Goo-Good morning, Security Guard, Class
4, number 47632943, department 511, Level 4, Th-th-th-this is your thir-ir-ir-third
wake-up call. If you are late, you will receive 7 demerits.
You already have 991 demerits.
Stan gets up, and walks out of his "apartment", stepping down with
a ladder.
The scene changes to the exterior of a prisoner transport ship in
space
Male Voice: Prisoner Transport 58K603, you've passed the Frontier,
commence your revival sequence.
The scene changes to the interior, we see the empty cockpit, and
a black screen just like in Stan's "apartment", the same computer face
appears
Computer Voice: Due-ue-ue-ue due to a bulkhead malfunction,
Prisoner Transport 58K603, you are being diverted from gate 417, punishment
level 2, to gate 511. (we see the crew, two people, waking up)
Due to a bulkhead malfunction, Prisoner Transport 58K6 ...
Scene changes to exterior of ship, we see that it's only one of
dozens of similar ships headed for the Cluster
Back to the interior, one of the crew climbs down to a storage room
where the prisoners, kept on slabs, about 14 it seems, with a yellow object
in the back. The one on the left-front is dead.
Crewmember: Number 11 freeze-dried again!
He walks down the line, checking each prisoner, third down on the
left is Gigerotta, she spits at him, fifth on the right is Zev
Crewmember: I've seen a lot of women in my life, and you know
something? You've gotta be the ugliest one I ever laid eyes on.
Does this mean anything to you?
Zev: No, nothing means anything to me, handsome.
Crewmember pushes some kind of button, and she's shocked by electricity.
He continues to walk down the line till he gets to the yellow object, he
knocks on it, and inside, we see two eyes
Crewmember: It's your day of justice, Thodin!
We see the exterior again, we watch a large number of ships flying
thru the clouds covering The Cluster, they pass over an impressive city,
they pass by the Lexx, then pass over Cobalt Stadium, which is packed with
people, this part is rather lengthy. The ships are all flying toward
a large building, we follow one as it enters a long passageway
Now we see Stan at his work-station, he's throwing nuts and bolts
at a stoic robot, apparently trying the get them into a small hole on the
ground right behind him. He puts them down when a holographic screen
appears
Major: I worship His Shadow.
Stan: I worship His Shadow.
Performs a small gesture, his right arm is held touches the left
side of his chest at mid-chest level, then goes straight out away from
his body; vaguely reminds me of the "Heil Hitler" gesture. I wonder
if that was intentional, or if I'm reading too much into it?
Major: Prisoner Transport 58K603, requesting docking beam.
Stan lifts up a plastic lid covering a red button
Stan: Authority code.
Major: Code? Nobody asks for code anymore.
For several seconds she just stares at Stan, then sighs and you
hear buttons being pressed, there's a buzz, and Stan closes the lid
Stan: Wrong code.
Major: I can't remember the code.
Stan: I suggest you try another gate, then.
Major: What rank are you?
Stan: Security Guard, Class Four.
Major: Security Guard, Class Four, sir! I'm a line
major, and I'm ordering you to turn on your docking beam, understand?
Stan: I can't do that.
Major: Why not?
Stan: You've got the wrong code.
Major: I am giving you a direct order, fourth class security
guard!
Stan: I can't help you!
Stan tosses a bolt and it gets right into the hole, there's a crashing
sound, and a bright light, Stan looks over, and then hides the bolts, and
we see a pompous-looking official, presumably Stan's direct superior
Official: I worship His Shadow
Major: I worship His Shadow
The official lifts the lid and presses the button
Official: Docking beam is engaged now, sir. And Security
Guard Class Four Stanley Tweedle is presently being entered for correction
and punishment himself.
Major: I request that he be demoted.
Official: Class Four is already the lowest.
Major: And I trust his punishment will be severe.
Official: That, will happen, sir.
Major: May His Shadow fall upon you.
Official: May His Shadow fall upon you.
The image vanishes
Official (to Stan): You must enter yourself into correction
center number 40 before watch change today, Stan, (pats Stan's head),
Stanley Tweedle, and may His Merciful Shadow fall upon you.
Stan: May His Merciful Shadow fall upon ... (sees that the
official has left) me, preferably!
The transport arrives
Now we see Clerics rushing with a stretcher, on which is His Dying
Shadow (that is actually how he's credited in the end credits)
Cleric: Passing thru! Passing thru! We're losing
Him!
Clerics enter a room wherein a thuggish looking man is bound up,
with a bizarre object stuck in his mouth
Cleric: We have little time!
Clerics place some kind of gel on his temples
Cleric: The sedative
Another Cleric: No time!
Two poles are placed on each temple, one cleric looks at the Chief
Cleric, who nods, another cleric turns a knob, and electricity comes from
the poles, in his struggling, the Bound Man knocks a Cleric over, who then
accidentally blasts himself, another Cleric rushes up to restrain him,
this time they blast him with the electricity for several seconds
Chief Cleric: He fought well
Cleric: Truly vicious human being
Chief Cleric: He will prove to be a good host.
Chief Cleric begins to walk off
Cleric: Second vac!
Chief Cleric: We do not have time, one will have to do!
Another Cleric: But he may not be fully cleansed.
Chief Cleric: We will have to risk it.
The thing in which Bound Man is restrained is rotated, so that he's
now facing the ground, His Dying Shadow is brought underneath him, so that
he is looking on Bound Man's face
Chief Cleric: Divine Shadow, you must perform the Kiss.
Divine Shadow, the Kiss!
His Dying Shadow opens his eyes, and you see that they're completely
utterly black, no iris, no white, just black as death, he opens his mouth,
and a bluish smoke comes out of his mouth, and into the object in Bound
Man's mouth. His Dying Shadow then stops moving, Bound Man's thing
is turned so that he is right side up again. A Cleric takes His Dying
Shadow's head, and saws it open (we don't see the sawing), another cleric
then gives him a tool, which he uses to loosen the brain (we don't see
that either), and then he pulls the brain out, and we see it, still steaming,
it is placed in the strange object, with some kind of wires attached to
it, a plastic covering, with the image of a face, is placed over it, the
object on which the brain-case is is then moved to a spot on the floor
by two Clerics
Clerics: We worship you, Divine Predecessor
Both Clerics use the same gesture used with the I worship His Shadow.
All of the Clerics then surround it, and bow down before it. The
spot on the floor rises, and becomes a great pillar, like many others around
it. The Clerics then release Bound Man, who is lethargic, he takes
a step forward, and then we see his eyes covered by black, so that is becomes
like His Dying Shadow's eyes were, the robes on His Dying Shadow vanish,
and become black smoke, which envelops the new His Shadow, and forms impressive
robes, His Shadow sits down on a spot on the floor, surrounded by bowing
Clerics, the spot then rises, just like the Brain, and he is on the same
level as that brain, surrounded by a lot of brains
Divine Predecessors: Divine Shadow, may your reign by long and
orderly.
His Shadow: Divine Predecessors, I thank you for your gift of
selection. I will serve Order, I will serve you, and I will serve
myself.
The Divine Predecessors gasp
Divine Predecessors: Divine Shadow, today is a dark day for
heretics and infidels thru-out our universe, the Lexx will soon be fully
grown, and you will be able to send it on its voyage bringing destruction
upon all those who would oppose the League of Twenty Thousand.
His Shadow: And how will we know which planets shelter Enemies
of Order? Which planets are to be chosen for destruction?
Divine Predecessors: That will be your task.
His Shadow: Then my task is complete. I choose to destroy
them all.
More gasping
Divine Predecessors: That is not in our plan!
His Shadow: Divine Predecessors, I am formed from you, but my
host-brain was not fully cleansed, and therefore, I am also partially formed
from him. I will choose my own path, and I choose that I, myself,
will command the Lexx on its voyage of destruction!
Divine Predecessors: But the Prophecy!
His Shadow (screaming): I HAVE NO PATIENCE FOR YOUR ANCIENT
SUPERSTITIONS! The Brunnen-G have been extinct for over two thousand
years!
Divine Predecessors: The Divine Shadow must never leave The
Cluster unless there is grave peril! We need each other's strength.
His Shadow: I agree, Divine Predecessors. I will not risk
being separated from your wisdom and guidance, as you will join me on my
voyage.
The brains' pillars descend, while His Shadow remains where he was
Now we see the Brains in a ship, flying toward the Lexx
Divine Predecessors: The Prophecy is upon us! Impossible,
the Prophecy is false! The Brunnen-G are extinct!
Brain no. 14 (I believe that this is the Brain No. 14 in
the credits): Brethren, I was the one who killed them all, but I did
not destroy them all. One specimen was preserved.
Another Divine Predecessor: Impossible!
Brain no. 14: Predecessors, look into me.
We see Kai's memories being stolen again
We then see the Time Prophet
Brain no. 14: I was the one who took his life, I have his memory.
Kai: Prophet! I have come to you because the forces of
His Shadow grow stronger, and we Brunnen-G no longer have the weapons to
combat him.
Time Prophet (echoing): I have the strength to answer
one question. Say to me your question.
Kai: Will the forces of His Shadow destroy us?
Time Prophet: Time as you know had a beginning, and time has
an end, and then time begins again, as we shall each live our lives again,
exactly as before. I have been gifted to see into the old
Cycles of Time, not very clearly, mind you. But I have learnt that
in the Future-Past, the Brunnen-G, the great victor in the War against
the Insect Civilization, shall be destroyed at the hand of His Shadow.
But after His Shadow leaves The Cluster, they will be destroyed at the
hands of the Brunnen-G. This has happened before, it will happen
again.
Divine Predecessors: We are boarding the Lexx, we'll all be
destroyed!
Now we see Stan's workspace again, he's watching the prisoners being
unloaded, one of the prisoners recognizes Stan.
Prisoner: You! You, I know you! Stanley Tweedle!
It's him, Stanley Tweedle!
Another Prisoner: Murderer!
Prisoner: Stanley Tweedle! (The slab that he's on falls down,
and he gets squished)
Another Prisoner: Traitor!
The prisoners are being taken to a place with what looks like a
judge's bench. Zev is second, and behind her is a blue (!) woman,
the slabs stop, and a robot rolls over an intimidating-looking contraption
to him, three holograms appear, a judge, a defense attorney, and a prosecutor,
a robot manipulates some controls, and the prisoner's head is restrained.
Holo-Defense Attorney: My client (hologram freezes)
Voice: Argon Protopi, Piemaker, Class 2, Orbital 5
Holo-Defense Attorney: Is innocent of the charge of (pauses
briefly, then a slight skip) Failing to pay money owed to the Temple,
and throws himself upon the mercy of this court, secure in the knowledge
that His Shadow's wisdom will prevail upon these proceedings.
The contraption injects a needle into his head
Computerized Voice: Memory search commencing.
On a screen, various images flicker by
On screen:
Clerics: Alms, alms, alms.
Argon: I don't care anymore, I've had enough, I'm not paying
the Temple any more money, period!
Robot hits a button
Computerized Voice: Memory search complete.
Holo-Judge: You (freezes)
Voice: Argon Protopi, Piemaker, Class 2, Orbital 5
Holo-Judge: Have been found guilty of failing to pay money owed
to the Temple, you are therefore sentenced to (pause, hologram skips)
have your individual life terminated. However, His Merciful Shadow
will allow many of your vital organs to live on, as components used
in the making of robotic drones. Your usable flesh will be contributed
to the Protein Bank, where it will recycled for purposes that serve His
Shadow (hologram skips) -poses that serve His Shadow.
Robot flicks a switch. Argon's slab is moved to another rail,
and is then being moved to a small chamber wherein there are outlines of
a number of organs
Argon: You can take whatever you want! I'll pay!
I promise!
Holo-Defense Attorney is replaced by a Cleric
Cleric: In the execution of this sentence, you are hereby cleansed
of your crime against the people of the 20,000 Planets, may His Merciful
Shadow fall upon you.
The outlines of the organs now have small saws that begin to move
Robots: I worship His Shadow.
The slab then enters the chamber, and pretty much completely covers
the opening, we see several organs dropping into a small plate, while Zev
looks on in horror, a bit of blood flies onto her face, then the plate
is drawn away, and a plastic bag appears in its place, as the cut-up remains
of Argon's body falls into it, the bag is then dropped thru a hole, and
onto a conveyer belt with lots of other such bags, the camera zooms out,
and we see more conveyer belts, and finally it zooms out far enough that
we see seventeen conveyer belts, all full from side to side with
bags of human flesh, all being fed into the greedy mouth of the Lexx!
Several hundred bags are being fed into his mouth every second!
Now we see Stan heading for the correction center, wherein is a
Class Two security guard
Stan: I was supposed to escort a prisoner here, Stanley Tweedle,
467329-43, Department 511, Level 4
Guard: Yeah?
Stan: He is refusing to turn himself in.
Guard: Yeah?
Stan: I thought that if you could tell me what his punishment
would be for not showing up, that might help persuade him.
Guard: Oh, give me that number again?
Stan: 467329-43, Department 511, Level 4
Guard: If he's not here, when we close at watch-change, termination
order will be issued automatically. That's about, uh, 20 minutes.
Stan: Termination?!
Guard: That's what it says, termination
Stan: But he's a Designated Data Co-operator, he can't be terminated
because he might be needed some day for important information!
Guard: DDC, hunh? Oh, sorry, that expired 5 months ago.
Let's see, he's a Level 4, Class 47 transgression, normally, cauterization.
But, he's got 991 demerits, and there's a special rotation, so, it looks
like ... 1 to 3 organs.
Stan: One to three organs?
Guard: Yeah, he'll have to donate 1 to 3 organs, depending on
demand.
Stan: Demand?
Guard: Demand for soft organs is red-hot right now, so he's
pretty well sure of being a triple-donor.
Stan: But he didn't even do anything, it's just a mix-up!
Guard: Life's a mix-up, hunh?
Stan: What organs?
Guard: Usual combo, eyeball, kidney, testicle. If they
want bone, they'll take an arm or a leg, but, we haven't done a limb-cut
in days. I'd suggest he turn himself in, after all, triple-organ's
better than a termination, hunh?
Stan: May His Merciful Shadow fall upon you.
Stan walks dejectedly off, and kicks a little drone thingy
Back in the "court"
Holo-Defense Attorney: My client,
Voice: Zev Bellringer of B3K
Holo-Defense Attorney: Is innocent of the charge of failing
to perform her wifely duties and humiliating her husband in the Temple,
and throws herself upon the mercy of this court, secure in the knowledge
that His Shadow's wisdom will prevail on these proceedings.
Computerized Voice: Memory search commencing.
We see a youngish boy, maybe 12 or 13, with two adults, presumably
his parents, behind him
Zev: You are my every dream come true.
Boy: This must be a mistake! There's no way I can marry
that cow!
Zev: Husband, I shall serve, I shall love, I will live ...
Boy: She makes me wanna throw up! (parents look at him angrily)
Get her out of here!
Zev punches that brat in the nose
Computerized Voice: Memory search complete.
Holo-Judge: You,
Voice: Zev Bellringer of B3K
Holo-Judge: Have been found guilty of failing to perform your
wifely duties and humiliating your husband in the temple. You are
therefore sentenced to be transformed into a love-slave, and to be given
t-t-to
Voice: 7R8166145
Holo-Judge: To be used for their pleasure, may His Shadow fall
upon you.
Zev is transferred to the right rail
Zev: Oh, please! Put me out of my misery I volunteer
for the protein bank! I don't want to live this terrible life anymore!
The thing that Thodin was in, which looks vaguely insectoid, "walks"
up to the "Court"
Holo-Prosecutor: You, Thodin of the Ostral-B Pair, are accused
of -
Voice: Due to the special nature of his crimes, the Arch-Heretic
Thodin of the Ostral-B Pair will be tried in Cobalt Stadium. Following
that, his sentence will be immediately executed for the entertainment of
His Shadow's loyal followers.
Thodin's thing is lifted.
We now see the robot leading Zev, her slab is lowered so that she's
facing straight up, a screen is moved in front of her face, and we see
a Cleric.
Cleric: In the execution of this sentence, you are hereby cleansed
of your crime against the people of the 20,000 Planets. May His Merciful
Shadow fall upon you.
Zev: Whatever.
Stadium, an opera-like voice is singing, there are sounds of people
stomping and clapping rhythmically, while bright lights shine into the
air, there is a giant holographic screen showing Thodin's thing being lowered,
which we also see as it's happening, for the benefit of those in seats
far away from the action, there's also a giant holographic Prosecutor.
Holo-Prosecutor: The Arch-Heretic, Pirate, and Rebel of the
Ostral-B Pair, Thodin!
Crowd chants "Thodin, Thodin!"
The thing opens up, and we see Thodin bound, with Cluster Lizards
behind bars.
Thodin doesn't look too worried. Out of his right nostril,
something that initially looks like mucus comes out, but then we see that
it's an insect-looking device, it's Bug-Bomb! It has helicopter-like
wings.
Bug-Bomb: Bug-Bomb activated! Bug-Bomb searching, Thodin.
Turning left. Bug-bomb searching, Thodin.
Stadium again, the crowd is cheering, as the holo-screen shows Cluster-Lizards
being fed.
We see Stan walking around.
Stan: Three organs? Three organs? Better
than termination!
Stan begins to run to the Correction center, jumping over the little
drone-things, he encounters Bug-Bomb and hits hit, causing it to crash
Bug-Bomb: Bug-Bomb searching. Bug-Bomb malfunction.
Holo-Prosecutor: Thodin, of the Ostral-B Pair, is accused of
Heresy in the First Degree, of 26 counts of Piracy, of influencing the
minds of believers, questioning His Shadow's truth and wisdom, destroying
231 military vessels loyal to His Shadow.
Stan again, running, we see on the clock that his time is almost
up, just seconds before he reaches the center, time's up, and a gate lowers
Voice: This correction center is now closed.
Stan: It's me! I'm here!
On screens all over the place, his face appears.
Voice: Fugitive alert, fugitive alert! This fugitive wanted
for immediate termination.
Bug-Bomb on the ground.
Bug-Bomb: Bug-Bo-, Bug-Bomb reactivating, Thodin.
Bug-Bomb gets up and flies.
Bug-Bomb: Bug-Bomb searching, Thodin. Target conduit located,
Thodin.
Flies into a conduit.
Bug-Bomb: Target cable located, Thodin. Target signal
located. Bug-Bomb detonation sequence initiated, Thodin. Mal-Mal-Malfunction.
Falls off, gets back up and flies up
Bug-Bomb: Target signal relocated, Thodin. Malfunction.
Bug-Bomb lost head.
A new room, there are bright yellow banners with the Shadow-Symbol,
and lots of grey-cloaked people, there is a ship docked, and red carpet
for the people of it, the door opens showing a young child with her parents,
there are other children behind her with their parents
Official: His Shadow bids welcome to the finest example of youthful
devotion in all the 20,000 Planets.
Bug-Bomb: Bug-Bomb searching, Thodin. Incorrect signal.
Back at the room from before, there is an awards ceremony being
conducted. The children are being given nice medals.
Holo-Official: You young 50 have been selected from the best,
the brightest, and the most loyal of all His Shadow's subjects from thousands
of planets. Among plain stones, you are bright, shining jewels.
And after you receive your Awards of Merit today, you will return to your
home planets, where you will dedicate the rest of your lives to helping
His Shadow's light reach those unfortunate dark corners where it still
does not yet fall.
Back at the Stadium
Holo-Prosecutor: Of training enemies of His Shadow in military
tactics, of slandering Clerics from 11 planets,
Thodin: You are slaves! Rise up! Free yourselves
from the tyranny of this false religion! You're all slaves!
Bug-Bomb: Target signal relocated, Thodin. Ma-malfunction.
Detonation imminent.
Holo-Prosecutor: And, finally, of six counts of blasphemous
self-aggrandizement!
Bug-Bomb: Cannot locate correct signal.
Explodes
Back at the Stadium, the Holo-Prosecutor becomes staticky, and is
replaced by Holo-Judge
Holo-Judge: Due to the severe and heinous nature of your crime,
you, Thodin of the Ostral-B Pair, are
Holo-Cleric: Recognized for selfless love and devotion to His
Shadow.
Holo-Prosecutor: Of 26 Counts of Piracy, -s of Piracy, -s of
Piracy
Crowd becomes confused
Holo-Judge: You, Thodin of the Ostral-B Pair
Holo-Cleric: You are hereby given an Award of Merit
Back at the Awards Ceremony
Holo-Official: A shining example for every planet, you are hereby
Holo-Judge: Sentenced to be devoured by Cluster Lizards, such
sentence to be executed immediately!
The Cluster-Lizards are released into the Awards Ceremony
Cleric: Cluster-Lizards!!
Pure chaos breaks out, children and their parents are running all
over the place, many of them are eaten
Holo-Official: Among plain stones, you are bright, shining jewels.
Holo-Judge: You have been found guilty.
Holo-Judge: Guilty, Guilty
Back at the Stadium
Holo-Prosecutor: Eleven planets, 11 planets
Holo-Defense Attorney: My Client
Voice: Zev Bellringer of B3K
The Cluster Lizards are now in the audience, everyone begins running
in panic
Holo-Defense Attorney: My Client
Thodin's thing closes, and he's descended to where the Cluster Lizards
would've been.
Back where Zev's sentence is being carried out, a sort of lid is
being lowered, and then stops, the robot places eyeglasses on her, and
manipulates controls, red dots travel down her body, and on a computer
screen, an outline of her form is created. An electrical bolt hits
her crotch. The robot manipulates some controls, and the image on
the screen changes.
We now see one of the screens with Stan's face, it's showing him
with different hair styles and facial hair
Voice: Watch for disguises. Some fugitives may try to
fool you.
Back where Zev is, the machine lowers, a Cluster Lizard enters
Now we see Stan trying to hide.
Thodin's thing is returned to the Court
Holo-Defense Attorney: My client
Holo-Judge: You have been found guilty.
The prisoner is carried away to execution. Thodin's thing
opens up, and he gets up, we see his glittery pink skirt now
Robots: Hail Thodin of the Ostral-B Pair, winner of His Shadow's
Award of Merit
Thodin breaks off a metal pipe from the memory-search contraption,
and frees the most-recently condemned prisoner
Holo-Defense Attorney: My client
Voice: Gigerotta the Wicked, Boral-7
Holo-Judge: Found guilty.
Holo-Defense Attorney: Is innocent of the charge of cannibalism
of men, women, children, and clerics of 62 Temples
Gigerotta: More like 162!
Holo-Defense Attorney: And failing to perform her wifely duties,
and throws herself on the mercy of this court
Holo-Cleric: Upon the execution of this sentence you are hereby
cleansed of your crime against the people of the 20,000 planets, may His
Merciful Shadow fall upon you.
Holo-Defense Attorney: Secure in the knowledge that His Shadow's
wisdom will prevail on these proceedings.
Holo-Prosecutor: Thodin, Planets!, the Ostral-B Pair
Holo-Judge: Guilty!
Robots: Hail Thodin of the Ostral-B Pair, winner of His Shadow's
Award of Merit.
Gigerotta: Hey, what about Gigerotta?! Swing me, muscle-brains,
I'm next!
Heretic: What about her?
Thodin: We can't get sidetracked.
Gigerotta: Hey, boneheads! Gigerotta's about to die!
Thodin frees her
Thodin: You, take care of the others!
Gigerotta: Don't think so.
She goes down the hole where bodies were dropped
Thodin: Let's do it.
Several other heretics are freed
Holo-Prosecutor: Self-aggrandizement!
Holo-Cleric: May His Merciful Shadow fall upon you.
Zev's sentence, again
Cluster lizard spits out robot's head, starts to leave, then notices
Zev, and heads for her, to bite her head, however, just as it's about to
reach her, the machine lowers and cuts its head off, the head is thus trapped
in the machine with Zev, while the body falls to the floor. The machine
continues to function, when it's done, it raises, and both the Lizard-head
and the original Zev are gone, and in their place is a gorgeous woman,
who frees herself, and looks around, then notices that the machine's not
finished, another device is lowering to where her head was, she grabs the
robot-head (790), and sticks it under the machine
790: I will love you forever!
Zev laughs, then drop-kicks 790, she sees the dead Lizard, and then
rips off the bottom of her dress
790: Zev of B3K, don't leave me. No one will ever worship
you like I do.
Zev (pulling off veil on her head): See ya, lover-boy!
790 controls one of those rolling things that we've seen a number
of times to come near him.
Zev walking away, sees Stan's face on the screens, then sees Stan
Voice: This fugitive wanted, for immediate termination.
Zev: Nice picture.
She encounters two large robots, who block her path
790: Zev of B3K, you are the woman of my dreams!
Robots: Zev of B3K, surrender at once!
She turns to flee, Stan, when he sees her running, starts running
too, he comes up to a gate, and tries to use his security pass to get thru,
but it doesn't work
Computer: Invalid code, access denied.
Zev runs up to the doors, and she and Stan try to force it open,
but then she catches herself in the mirror
Zev: I'm beautiful!
Robot: Zev of B3K, there is no escape!
Zev grabs Stan to hid behind, the robots shoot, and they duck to
opposite sides, the blasts hit the doors blasting them open, they run thru
790: I'm with you, Zev!
We now see His Shadow on his pedestal, meditating. In front
of him a holographic screen appears, showing a face
General: Divine Shadow, we have a level 3 security break, hundreds
have been killed!
We see His Shadow open his eyes, revealing the totally black eyes.
His Shadow: General, you have disturbed my meditation.
When it is completed, I will deal with you, and also with this minor matter.
He waves a hand, and the screen disappears.
Now we see Zev and Stan running again, Stan tries again to use his
pass, but fails.
Computer: Invalid code, access denied.
Robots: Zev of B3K, there is no escape, surrender at once.
790 is ahead of them coming after Zev. Stan grabs Zev's arm.
Stan: I've got her! I have her! I've got Zev of
B3A!
Voice: Fugitive alert! This fugitive wanted for immediate
termination.
Zev grabs 790 and holds him up to the lock
Zev: Okay, open it!
790: I can open many wonderful things for you, darling of all
darling things.
Stan: I worship His Shadow, I worship His Shadow!
The doors then open, and he and Zev go thru, but then they see two
Cluster Lizards, Stan hides in terror behind Zev, while Zev merely stares
at them
Robots: Surrender at once.
Zev produces Cluster Lizard noises, Stan's face changes from terror
to amazement, the Lizards leave Zev and Stan and attack the robots
Stan: How did you do that?
Zev: I don't know. Maybe I've got some Cluster Lizard
in me.
Stan: I could get past that.
790: Don't you even think about it, fugitive! She's my
woman.
790's machine follows them
Now we see Thodin and his band running, there are 9 of them, they
encounter two robots
Robots: Hail, Thodin, winner of His Shadow's Award of Merit.
Thodin walks up to the robots, and takes their weapons
Thodin: Good boys.
The Heretics walk on by
Robots: Hail, Thodin, winner of, correction, Award of Merit
rescinded. Thodin, Arch-Heretic and Rebel, you are wanted for immediate
termination.
The robots raise their arms as if to shoot.
Robots: Please return our weapons.
Thodin and his second in command shoot the Robots.
Thodin: May His Shadow fall upon you.
His Shadow is in a room with a holographic image of the Lexx floating
in the air. A General and a Major are on their hands and knees in
front of His Shadow, while three other officers are in the background
General: They appear headed for the Special Projects area, Divine
Shadow.
Major: There are many access points where they could potentially
enter the Lexx.
His Shadow: They cannot control the Lexx.
His Shadow raises his right hand, and it briefly glows
Major: We are closing all the (?)
His Shadow: General, do you believe that time flows in a straight
line?
General: I have observed that time is continuous.
His Shadow: Major, do you believe that time flows in a circle,
that it is possible to see into the future by looking into the past?
Major: I am not aware of any such Divine Teaching.
His Shadow: So you do not believe that it is possible?
Major: No, Divine Shadow.
His Shadow: I am a more complex being than my Divine Predecessors.
Unlike them, I do not believe time travels in a circle, and therefore,
I do not believe in prophecies.
General: Divine Shadow?
His Shadow: Yes?
General: How shall we deal with the Heretics?
His Shadow: We shall ensure that they make their way to the
Special Projects Area, uncontested. The time has come to prove that
all Prophecies are false, that no one can know the Future.
Major?
Major: Yes, Divine Shadow?
His Shadow: Kill him.
Major: Kill him?
His Shadow: Yes, kill him.
She pulls out her gun, and looks at His Shadow. His Shadow
nods.
General: I worship His Shadow.
She fires.
His Shadow: Thank you. Now, kill yourself.
Major: Kill myself?
His Shadow: Yes, now kill yourself.
Major: But, I, I
His Shadow: Shoot yourself.
Major: I worship His Divine Shadow!
His Shadow: Shoot!
She shoots, blasting her head off
Now we see the heretics climbing up some kind of structure, two
are killed, Thodin and his second shoot back, hitting a force-field.
We see two giant robots and a human.
Robots: Disengage, repeat, Disengage
The Heretics continue climbing
Mortuary, His Shadow walks over to a "coffin", and moves his hand
thru the air, a red dot appears on his hand, and a drawer is opened, revealing
KAI, from the opening sequence, but now dressed in black with tubes leading
into his chest
His Shadow: Awake, Last of the Brunnen-G. You will show
my misguided Predecessors that I make my own destiny.
Kai "wakes up"
Kai: Who would you like me to kill?
Zev and Stan fleeing, Zev hold 790 up to each lock
790: Code access denied, Buttercup.
790: Access denied. All access denied, except to the gates
of my heart.
The come upon an already-open door. Zev walks thru it.
Stan: I don't like it!
Nevertheless, Stan follows. Then an elevator door opens.
Stan: We can't go up there, that's the Special Projects Area.
Zev: Do we have a choice?
Stan reluctantly follows
Gigerotta's following a Cluster Lizard
Now we see Zev and Stan in the elevator, Stan is pacing very nervously
Computer Voice: Only authorized persons are admitted to the
Special Project Highest-Level Security Area. If the system is not
able to recognize your facial images from its library of authorized persons,
your flesh will be disposed of as useful organic material and added to
the Protein Bank.
Stan: Doesn't this thing have a down button? It's not
fair, I was just doin' my job!
Zev: Life is not fair! Something I know well.
Computer Voice: Special Projects Sector Elevators offer their
special passengers complimentary snacks (a compartment opens revealing
candy), and upon arrival, you will be welcomed by elite officers of
His Shadow's Personal Guard.
Stan reaches for the candy, then the compartment closes
Computer Voice: The system does not recognize your facial images.
You are unauthorized passengers. You will be disposed of as useful
organic material to be added to the Protein Bank. May His Merciful
Shadow fall upon you.
The doors open, and guns are pointed at them
Stan: Don't shoot! I'm Ostral-B!
Angle changes to show Thodin and the other Heretics, Thodin's face
turns to one of utter disgust
Thodin: Stanley Tweedle!
Stan: Thodin? You're alive! It's a miracle!
A wonderful, wonderful, miracle!
Stan tries to hug Thodin, who pushes him away
Thodin: I should kill you on the spot, worm!
Zev hands 790 to Stan, and walks up to Thodin
Zev: Hi, I'm Zev.
Thodin: Thodin.
790: 790.
The Heretics walk off, with Zev and Stan following. There
are only 3 Heretics, I can't figure out what happened to the other four,
they look at the Lexx.
Zev: What is it?
Thodin: Why don't you tell her what it is, Arch-Traitor?
Stan: It's the Lexx, the most powerful destructive force ever
built.
They head for it
Stan: I don't think it's necessarily a good idea to go in there.
Thodin (turning to face Stan, pointing a finger accusingly
at him): Do you remember Araco? The only reason that millions,
MILLIONS, sacrificed their lives for that over-heated ROCK was because
two Aracans were bio-code specialists from The Cluster! We fought
that war, Traitor, so that
I could be here today. They
died so I could have the Key to the Lexx. (shows his right hand, it
glows)
The Heretics continue to make their way to the Lexx. The one
in behind turns around to see Kai just a moment before he's decapitated.
Thodin and his Second shoot Kai, but Kai is unhurt.
Second Heretic: He must be inorganic
Thodin: He's decarbonized. My life means nothing in the
great equation.
Passes the Key to Second Heretic, who runs into the Lexx with Stan
Thodin: Beauty such as yours must live on.
Thodin kisses Zev, and then pushes her thru an orifice, he hits
a control, and the orifice closes
Zev: Don't leave me! Everybody always leaves me.
790: I will never leave you.
Back in the place with the holographic Lexx, an official is on his
hands and knees before His Shadow
Official: The Divine Personal Guard can be there in less than
one minute.
His Shadow: No. I do not believe in Prophecies.
Thodin (to Kai): Is it possible? You look Brunnen-G!
Could you be the fulfillment of the Prophecy?
Kai: Brunnen-G?
Thodin: I guess not.
Rips out his RIGHT EYE, which he throws to the ground, producing
smoke that makes him almost completely invisible, only his outline is apparent.
On the Lexx, Second Heretic is turning around a corner with his
gun
Stan: Wait for me!
Second Heretic: You're on your own, Traitor!
Stan: We better go with him.
They follow, then we hear a Cluster Lizard. We see that Second
Heretic has been eaten! His right hand, the hand with the Key, is
sticking out of the mouth waving, Stan waves back, and the Key shoots into
his hand. The Lizard faces Stan and Zev. Zev does her Cluster
Lizard bit, the Lizard looks at Stan, Stan hands 790 back to Zev and runs
off
Back on the bridge to the Lexx, Kai is trying to fight Thodin, who
he can barely see, he shoots, but misses. Thodin grabs Kai's wrist-brace,
and cuts off his left arm.
Stan runs into a moth, as the Lizard tries to get to him, Zev opens
the other window to get in, but Gigerotta grabs her
Gigerotta: Excuse me!
Gigerotta pushes Zev out of the way and gets in, Stan tries to figure
out the moth's controls, while Gigerotta closes the window, and Zev bangs
on it
Gigerotta (to Stan): I think it wants you.
Zev: Let me in!
790: Let her in!
Zev runs to the back of the moth, as Stan figures out how to fly
the moth
Gigerotta: Gigerotta drives!
Zev is riding on the moth's tail, holding 790 to her chest, 790
is looking at her chest
790: Oh, bosom of electrical delight!
Stan: Look! Over there, that looks important!
Back to the fight. Thodin cuts off most of Kai's head
Back to the Lexx, the moth lands by the Bridge, they all get out
Gigerotta: Anybody know how to drive this thing?
Zev gets off the tail and attacks Gigerotta, the two struggle briefly
Zev: Later!
Back to the fight, Kai's disembodied arm grabs Thodin's leg, and
Kai shoots Thodin, once he punctures Thodin's chest, the invisibility wears
off
Thodin: Today, I, Thodin
Drops dead
Kai picks up his arm and reattaches it good as new
Back on the bridge, Zev gets in the Command Chair, and a green hand
appears, she puts her hand on it, but it vanishes, she gets down
Zev: Stanley?
Stan: Hunh?
Zev: Come here.
Stan: What?
Zev: Come here. Up!
Stan: Up?
Zev: Up! Your hand.
Stan puts his hand on the green hand
Lexx: What planet would you like me to destroy, Divine Shadow?
Stan: Hunh?
Lexx: What planet would you like me to destroy?
Zev: This one!
Stan: This one!
Lexx: This planetoid is a member of the League of 20,000.
I'm not permitted to destroy it.
Zev: Then, take us out of here!
Stan: Take us outta here!
Lexx: As you command. Destination?
Gigerotta: The Frontier!
Stan: Yes. Take us away from here, take us out past
the Frontier, take us some place better!
Lexx: As you command, Divine Shadow.
Kai picks up his head and reattaches it, he then picks up his wrist
brace, and enters the Lexx, just as it begins to leave. His Shadow
leaves the room head down, the Lexx leaves.
His Shadow enters a room, black smoke accumulates in front of him
His Shadow: Shadow, I gather you. Divine Predecessors,
I have failed you. But I will not fail you again.
He removes his hood, and gets on a kind of operating table, where
he's restrained.
His Shadow: Predecessors, forgive me for my pride. Predecessors,
this sacrifice I make for Order, this sacrifice I make for you.
His Brain is head is sawed open and his brain removed without any
anesthetic or anything. This scene, I hear, was cut out of
the British version.
His Shadow: Shadow, take my body!
The shadow enters his empty head
Back on the bridge
Stan: Who could ever imagine all this could be built from a
tiny capsule of amino acids in my tooth?
Zev: What? You are really the famous Arch-Traitor Stanley
Tweedle?
Stan: I am not a traitor.
Gigerotta: The Stanley Tweedle?
790: Formerly Designated Data Co-Operator, and presently fugitive,
Stanley Tweedle is the one who provided the forces of His Shadow with the
amino acid codes used to destroy a hundred Reformed Planets.
Stan: It was the Sub-N's. They did things to me, to every
part of my body. No man could've stood up to it. It was more
like 94 planets, not a hundred.
Gigerotta: So, why did they let you live, Tweed-man?
Stan: In case they ever needed any more questions answered.
Frontier Official (on Lexx's screen): This is Frontier
Station 65-798-4-8. Unidentified vessel, please provide your exit
code.
Gigerotta: Earn your keep, Security Guard.
Stan: No-one asks for the exit code anymore!
Frontier Official: To pass the Frontier, an exit code is required
100% of the time. Exit code, please. If you pass the Frontier
without the proper exit code, I will arm the outer-ring mines, and your
vessel will be destroyed. Exit code, please.
Zev grabs Stan's shirt, and whispers something in his ear
Stan: Lexx, would you please destroy Frontier Post 65798-4-8?
Lexx: As you command, Divine Shadow.
The Frontier Post is destroyed, but so is the asteroid it was on
and the planet that asteroid orbited around.
Stan hugs Zev, and starts kissing her, 790 is growling, Zev isn't
exactly complaining, and seems to even be enjoying it, then she nuzzles
him, making a kind of growl-purr sound, and then starts biting him!
Gigerotta is watching with interest, then Zev makes a Cluster Lizard noise
and pushes him down, and behaves with a combination of predatory and sexual
behavior, Stan's frightened
Zev: Stanley, I've got new appetites.
As Stan backs away from Zev, he backs into Gigerotta
Gigerotta: (?) the liver!
Stan: Ladies! I've got the hand, the Key to the Lexx.
It only does what I tell it, remember?
A very large ship is on the Lexx's screen
Stan: What's that?
Lexx: His Shadow's personal flagship, the Megashadow, and The
Cluster's 24th Attack Wing.
Stan: Ah, Lexx, could you please destroy them, if you don't
mind?
Lexx: I cannot fulfill your command, they are forces under the
immediate direction of His Divine Shadow.
Kai: And you are not permitted to destroy them.
Stan: I'm Security Guard Fourth Class Stanley Tweedle, and I've
been captured by these escaped prisoners, and I'm surrendering the Lexx,
and I truly worship His Divine Shadow!
Gigerotta: You waste of skin!
Chokes Stan.
Kai shoots his wrist brace at her, grabbing her throat.
Kai: You are Gigerotta, also known as the Wicked?
Gigerotta: You got a problem with that?
Kai uses his brace to throw her over into the vast chasm of the
Lexx
Kai: You are minor heretics, disloyal to His Shadow?
Stan: Very, very minor.
Kai: Are there other minor heretics with you?
Zev: Lots. They're coming up here now, and they're heavily
armed.
Kai: No. You are alone.
Stan (getting down on his hands and knees): We worship
His Divine Shadow and beg his forgiveness!
Zev: Don't, Stan! Die with some dignity.
Stan reluctantly gets to his feet.
Stan: I, the Arch-Heretic, am Reformer Stanley Tweedle.
Altho only an Assistant Deputy Backup Courier, I did everything I could!
I really tried! But, I was captured by Sub-Nebulae mercenaries, and
I tried my best, but they found the codes. And, then, what could
I do after they made me Security Guard Fourth Class on The Cluster?
But I tried, I really tried, I did.
Zev: Give the Lexx back, let us go!
Kai: I do as His Shadow instructs. I will kill the both
of you.
Kai prepares to kill them, but then he hears screaming, we see a
Cluster Lizard where all the brains are. Kai jumps in a moth and
flies to them, Zev and Stan are left alone looking confused, as they didn't
hear the scream.
We see His Shadow with his officers on the Megashadow, viewing a
holographic image of the Lexx and the Megashadow.
His Shadow: And if I do not return, destroy the Lexx.
Admiral: But the Divine Predecessors
His Shadow (interrupting): Will understand that my priority
must now be to end this Prophecy! The Last of the Brunnen-G
must be destroyed!
Kai enters the Brains' corridor and kills the Cluster Lizard, it
has already killed several Brains
Divine Predecessors: Who are you?
Kai: I've been sent by His Divine Shadow, I've been instructed,
number one, to protect you, and number two, to kill those who are trying
to steal the Lexx.
Divine Predecessors: Yes, kill those who have done this terrible
deed! Kill them quickly! No, kill them slowly, make them feel
pain as no living thing has suffered before.
Kai notices a tiny piece of brain in an empty slot, he picks it
up, and hears a tiny bit of the Brunnen-G Battle Song.
Kai: I know that sound.
Brain no. 14: But you cannot remember it, as you do not remember
who you are.
Kai: I am Kai (Brains gasp) Last of the Brunnen-G.
A Brain: The Prophecy is upon us!
Brain no. 14: The Brunnen-G are no more. You are animated
flesh that kills as His Shadow instructs.
Kai: You were once His Shadow. You killed me.
Brain no. 14: You may have recovered your memory, but you are
nothing. You have no willpower of your own.
Kai: Wrong. I have willpower. You have given it
to me.
Kai proceeds to crush the Brain, flashes of light travel from it
to Kai
Outside, the Megashadow docks with the Lexx, and an "arm" pierces
the body of the Lexx, we see that His Shadow traveled in that "arm", he
gets out, and we see the Megashadow withdraw
Stan: But they're not firing, they're not shooting at us.
Zev: For how long? Stan? Do you have any idea where
we should tell the Lexx to go?
Stan: Yes!
Zev: Where?
Stan: My tooth!
Zev: Your tooth?
Stan: Yes! The Sub-N's never knew about my second tooth,
it contains co-ordinates of a location supposedly inaccessible to His Divine
Shadow!
Zev: Which tooth?
Stan: This one, I think.
Zev puts her hand in Stan's mouth, trying to pull it out
Zev: It won't come out.
Stan: Of course not!
Zev punches Stan very hard, knocking out two teeth. Zev picks
up a tooth, and runs over to 790, she uses 790 to hit the tooth
790: Thank you!
She does it again
790: Harder, harder!
Zev picks up something from the ground, something that was in the
tooth
Zev: This it?
Stan nods, Zev holds it up to 790's eyes
Zev (to 790): Read it!
790: It contains detailed flight-path co-ordinates.
Zev: You're a regular bundle of surprises, Stanley Tweedle.
Up!
Stan: Lexx, follow the co-ordinates exactly.
At this point, a moth lands in the background
Lexx: As you command, Divine Shadow.
790: Hold course, X axis 5-6.3441 Y-axis 18.32815
Kai jumps out of moth, Stan and Zev hear it and turn to look.
Kai: I've killed mothers with their babies. I've killed
great philosophers, proud young warriors and revolutionaries. I've
killed the evil, the good, the intelligent, the weak, and the beautiful.
I have done this in the service of His Divine Shadow and His Predecessors,
and I have never once shown any mercy! (looks to the side)
Divine Shadow!
His Shadow: I feel a loss of power from my Predecessors.
What have you observed?
Kai: The Divine Predecessors have suffered casualties, but they
are now safe.
His Shadow: And why are these, who are disloyal to my rule,
still alive?
Kai: The Prophecy, perhaps?
His Shadow: You do not know that word! You have no memory
from your life, the proto-blood only allows you to do as I instruct!
Kai: I have the memory of one of your Predecessors, as well
as the memories of all those he killed.
His Shadow: Kill them!
Kai: I will not do that.
His Shadow: Then kill yourself!
Kai: I'm already dead.
His Shadow: Then you cannot fulfill the Prophecy.
Kai: I think, I think you should've listened to your
Predecessors, Divine Shadow. Or perhaps, Not-So-Divine Shadow, as
your Divine Predecessors will now die!
Kai jumps into the chasm
His Shadow: No! You will die.
His Shadow jumps down as well, using his cape to break his fall.
Kai uses his wrist-brace to catch a pipe, allowing him to land where he
wants to land. He runs to the Brains. The Lexx is now heading
for the Fractal Core
On board the Megashadow
Officer: Admiral, if we maintain this course, it means death.
Admiral: Having never before followed anyone into a Fractal
Core, I do not know that with certainty.
Officer: It is composed of anti-particles crunched together
by infinite gravity. Even light cannot escape its pull!
Admiral: I do know with certainty the fate of those who fail
to obey His Shadow's orders. We will stay with the Lexx.
Officer: I worship His Shadow.
Zev: What is that?
790: That, perfection in the female form, is our destination,
a Fractal Core! A universe of danger!
Zev runs to a moth.
Stan: What are you doing?
Zev: I don't exactly know. Coming?
We now see Kai running into the Chamber of Brains, His Shadow is
right behind him
His Shadow: Farewell, Last of the Brunnen-G.
He blasts Kai with some kind of energy coming from himself
Divine Predecessors: Kill him! Murder him! Kill
him!
His Shadow: Die, Kai!
The small ships hit the sides of the Fractal Core, being destroyed,
the Megashadow and the Lexx are both headed for the center of the Core
Zev and Stan run into the Brain-room, Zev grabs a brain and throws
it on the ground, Stan does the same, His Shadow turns to face Zev
His Shadow: Foolish woman!
Stan: Don't hurt me, Divine Shadow!
His Shadow turns to face Kai again, but Kai takes the opportunity
in His Shadow's distraction to shoot at him, slicing off the top of His
Shadow's head, the Essence comes out, and attacks Kai, who seems about
to be destroyed, until the Lexx goes thru the Fractal Core, and the Essence
leaves the Lexx. The scene is distorted, to show the effects of the
Fractal Core.
790: Zeeeev!
On the other side, we see a much darker Fractal Core, with the Lexx
coming out of it, we see the scene returning to normal. Stan starts
to destroy another brain
Kai: No need. He's gone.
Zev looks at Kai with a certain look, Stan sees her looking at him
that way, and is a bit concerned
Kai: Thank you.
Zev: You're welcome.
Zev smiles at Kai, Kai doesn't respond, Stan looks upset, realizing
what her look means.
Now we see the moth landing back by the Bridge, and everyone getting
out.
Zev: Hey, Lexx, you did good! 790, sweetheart, you too.
Zev kisses 790, then the Lexx is hit by the Megashadow, which also
made it thru the Fractal Core
790: The Megashadow made it thru the Fractal Core, too!
Lexx: Ouch
Officer: Admiral, if we target the accelerator, its energy will
be released, and the Lexx will be destroyed.
Admiral: Target it!
The Megashadow prepares for a major shot. The Lexx
begins to turn.
Officer: The Lexx has directed its ocular parabola at us, Admiral.
Admiral: The Lexx is not permitted to fire on His Shadow's vessels.
Lexx prepares his weapon, and then fires at the Megashadow!
Zev and Stan shout for joy.
Stan: But, Lexx, that was one of His Shadow's ships!
Lexx: Who is His Shadow?
790: I perceive that much of Lexx's memory was erased when we
passed thru the Fractal Core.
Stan: That's what I call a positive development.
Zev: I say we don't waste any time, we turn the Lexx around
and blow the Cluster into little tiny Shadow-bits right now! Okay,
propeller-head (?), let's find a course back to the Cluster.
790: I have no knowledge of this area, love-dumpling.
Zev: What kind of robot are you?
790: I'm a robot that wants to live in your underpants, and
I have knowledge of all sectors of our universe, but I have no knowledge
of this sector, Angel-Breath.
Kai: Welcome to the Dark Zone.
Zev: The Dark Zone?
Stan: We're in the Dark Zone?
Zev: So, what are we supposed to do now?
Kai: Perhaps you should find yourselves a home.
Stan: B-but, the Dark Zone is full of depravity, and, and, and,
and evilness and, and, darkness, and
Kai (interrupting): My ancestors came from the Dark Zone!
I was taught that altho there are not many good planets, there are some.
