Kristin: (V.O.) I seriously had the best year of my life.

Kristin: Look at all the boys!

Kristin: (V.O.) We all had so much fun.

Kristin: Yeah!

Kristin: (V.O.) I mean from Winter Formal, to Mammoth, to Cabo, to Prom, it was crazy. There was so much drama.

Casey: Why can’t you just be a big person and get over it, why?

Alex M: (To Jessica) Are you a slut? Yeah I think you are.

LC:  (To Jason) I watched you kiss Jessica.

Kristin: (V.O.) And now, I couldn’t believe it was all over. The summer had finally come to an end and everyone was starting to say goodbye.

Jessica: (To Jason) Good luck with life. (Jason hugs Jessica)

Kristin: (V.O.) I was getting really sad. I didn’t realize it was gonna hit me so hard.

Cut to: Restaurant

Kristin, Jessica, and Alex H are talking.

Kristin: I cried so hard last night and I was like holding it in too.

Alex H: Yeah.

Jessica: I can’t wait till our high school reunion just to see where everyone ends up.

Alex H: Oh my god.

Jessica: I can see Jason like strolling in, with the big like beer belly and like scruffled face.

Alex H: Oh what is Jason gonna do…Let’s write our goals like what we want to happen happening, expectations.

Jessica: Relationships.

Kristin: I’ll still be single. (To Alex H) You’ll be like engaged.

Alex H: Jessica…

Kristin: You’re gonna be married.

Alex H: Jessica will be married with like eight kids. (They all laugh)

Jessica: Okay, career. Kristin, I can see you being like a TV host or something. Either a talk show or like an entertainment television thing.

Kristin: Really?

Alex H: Jessica.

Kristin: You’re gonna be…

Alex H: Like Susie Homemaker.

Jessica: I’m gonna be owning a daycare.

Kristin: I was just gonna say I could see you running a daycare.

Alex H: Oh my god.

Jessica: But I need to hire a lawyer and figure out liability. God! Alex.

Kristin: It’d be awesome.

Jessica: I can see you owning your own little like clothing boutique.

Alex H: That’s not fun, god.

Kristin: How is that not fun?

Jessica: Are you kidding me? How successful would you be?

Alex H: But it’d have to be like really cute.

Jessica: Yeah.

Kristin: Yeah obviously it’s gonna be your store.

Alex H: Okay cool.

Kristin: Yeah.

Jessica: Where are we gonna live?

Alex H: Well if I’m gonna own a boutique I’m gonna open it up in LA.

Kristin: Yeah so we’ll still be living in LA.

Jessica: I want to live in like Virginia with my little like SUV (They laugh).

Kristin: Driving in your kids in your like min van. You’re like “Come on!”

Jessica: Never have a mini van, thank you.

Kristin: You’re such a mini mom.

Jessica: I’m not.

Kristin: Oh my god, I can’t wait to see like what happens.

Alex H: I know, I know.

Kristin: Oh my god.

Cut to: Opening Credits.

Cut to: The Beach

Talan, Cedric, and Jason are surfing.

Jason: Last time surfing. Let’s go bro. (Jason and Cedric get in the water. After surfing a little bit, they get out of the water) Talan dude! Let’s cruise!

Cedric: Water’s getting colder.

Jason: Water’s freezing. How weird is it, like leaving?

Cedric: It’s weird. (Talan comes out)

Talan: Last day catching.

Cedric: I know. Last day out here. (He high fives Talan and then Talan high fives Jason)

Talan: I’m gonna miss ya. (Jason laughs)

Jason: It’s sad dude.

Cedric: It’s just gnarly to see everyone going their own way.

Jason: It’s gnarly. I never thought this day would come.

Cedric: I know. It’s really sad actually like I really wanna cry. (He laughs)

Jason: Yeah but it’s like we’re all close friends so we’re gonna stay in touch, it’s not a big deal.

Cedric: Yeah.

Jason: Let’s get out of here.

Cedric: (They all start to leave) Goodbye Thalia. (Jason laughs) Say goodbye dude. (They walk up the stairs. Cedric pauses a minute before leaving.) Intense dude. (They leave the beach)

Cut to: Taylor’s House

Alex M shows up as Taylor is packing. Alex M knocks and Taylor answers.

Alex M: Hi.

Taylor: Hi. (Cuts to Taylor’s room) What have you been doing today?

Alex M: Cleaning up my house.

Taylor: It’s weird, everything’s empty.

Alex M: Oh my god. Oh wow. You’re really leaving.

Taylor: It’s weird. Wait till you pack. It’s really weird. (Alex M nods) it hasn’t like hit me that I’m like actually gonna drive out of here and like not be coming right back.

Alex M: I don’t know, it’s just really sad.

Taylor: I know.

Alex M: I’m sad.

Taylor: Don’t cry. You’ll make me cry.

Alex M: I’m sorry. It’s just like…

Taylor: It’s okay. We’re both gonna be having so much fun, you know? (She nods) You can still call me, you know?

Alex M: I know, it’s just…

Taylor: Different.

Alex M: It’s gonna be a lot different. Like who am I gonna hang out with? (Taylor zips up her suitcases. Her and Alex M and her mom bring her stuff out to her car. Her mom closes the trunk after her stuff goes inside)

Taylor: Say goodbye to Al.

Karen: Okay. I know honey. (They hug) You’re special.

Alex M: Love you too. I can’t! (She cries) I like don’t wanna go. (Taylor hugs her)

Taylor: Okay.

Alex M: Have fun.

Taylor: Don’t find any new best friends.

Alex M: Yeah.

Taylor: I love you.

Alex M: I love you too. (They hug again)

Cut to: LC’s House

Stephen comes in as LC is packing. 

Stephen: Hello! (He comes in LC’s room) Hi! (He gives her a hug)

LC: Hey you. (He presses her against the bed and she screams) How are you?

Stephen: I’m good. Look at you. Pack, pack, pack. Special child. (He hugs her again) Need help?

LC: No I need a break.

Stephen: Oh okay. That’s what I’m here for.

LC: Mm-K. (It cuts to LC’s backyard. Stephen and LC stand near the bonfire pit to look out)

Stephen: Look at that view. The good old view. Ever since we first came here I knew I was gonna fall in love with this place.

LC: Aw. (It shows the beach)

Stephen: I like never get sick of it. Sweet. (LC gets down and sits in a lunge chair. Stephen joins her) This summer went by so fast. Oh yeah. We had fun though. You excited about moving? (He pets her dog)

LC: Are you kidding me? I can’t wait to get out of here.

Stephen: You ready to try it again?

LC: It’ll work out this time. I love LA. I feel completely different from last time. Last time I was scared out of my mind to leave and now I’m like I know I can do it. I’m gonna be a single girl in the city.

Stephen: You’re gonna find someone so quick I bet. Do you want to find somebody?

LC: I don’t wanna look. I want someone to find me.

Stephen: You don’t want to look?

LC: (She sighs) I just don’t have very good luck dating. (She laughs) I have bad judgement. (He murmurs) You were gonna disagree with that?

Stephen: No I’m not. I was just…Mmm…

LC: Like with Jason, momentary lapse of judgement. I just love that everyone changed so much but when we all got there like the summer, it was like the same. You know how everyone’s changed and they’ve grown but you’re always gonna have that group of friends that like you can come back to. Like I still feel like I just as good as friends with you.

Stephen: Think about all the s**t we’ve all been through. But it’s all made us better friends I think.

LC: Yeah Stephen you’re stuck with me as a friend.

Stephen: Uh oh.

LC: You ready to conquer another city with me? (She laughs)

Stephen: You didn’t conquer s**t in San Francisco.

LC: I know, I left.

Stephen: San Francisco conquered you.

LC: I know.

Stephen: Nah, I’m excited. Oh yeah. It’s gonna be perfect.

LC: I hope so.

Stephen: Me too, me too. (LC sighs) Here we go again. (They get up out of the chairs.) Time to go. (It cuts to the front of her house. They walk up the stairs to his car.) Almost me, my little buddy. (They hug) Bye bud.

LC: Bye bye, buddy. Safe drive. I’ll miss you.

Stephen: You better miss me. (He gets in his car.) Um, yeah. (She waves goodbye) Buh bye! You know where to reach me. (He drives away and she watches him. She goes back inside after he leaves)

Cut to: The Beach

Kristin is sitting in the sand by herself when Stephen comes down the stairs. She sees him and smiles. Then they laugh as he sits down.

Kristin: Hi. (He hugs her)

Stephen: How you doin’?

Kristin: Good. What’s goin’ on?

Stephen: Nothing much. What’s goin’ on with you?

Kristin: Nothing. I’m really…I don’t know.

Stephen: So you’re really trippin’ out?

Kristin: Yeah, it’s just weird.

Stephen: Yeah it’s definitely a weird time. It’s really weird especially when the first people like…I remember when Trey first left ‘cause he left really early.

Kristin: Yeah.

Stephen: That was just like …I don’t know.

Kristin: The whole year I was like F**k this, I just want to leave. I just want to like get out of here and like…you know? And now I’m like Holy s**t, it’s really happening.

Stephen: I know. It’s weird definitely. Did you have fun this summer though?

Kristin: Yeah it was a lot of fun. I wish that like Alex and I went through a phase where we were like over it and I really wish I didn’t do that.

Stephen: Too cool for school?

Kristin: No but like you know how you like go through that whole phase where you’re like “Wow it’s the same thing every night, same people…”

Stephen: Yeah it is like that. It’s like good to get away though. I definitely see myself coming back here.

Kristin; What do you mean coming back here? Like to live here?

Stephen: Yeah, maybe. Like at least have a home here. One of my homes. (Kristin laughs)

Kristin: Oh god.

Stephen: One of my houses. Well you can’t f**king leave this place like…

Kristin: I know.

Stephen: Remember our little sushi on the beach?

Kristin: Yeah.

Stephen: Remember that towel…that like one of us…?

Kristin: I know. Yeah we had a lot of fun.

Stephen: Yeah, yeah.

Kristin: See, I never have like all these negative thoughts.

Stephen: I know you do.

Kristin: No I don’t.

Stephen: If anyone should have negative thoughts it should be me ‘cause I definitely keep ‘em out.

Kristin: Okay Stephen.

Stephen: I’ve always gotten the vibe that like I did somethin’ like super, super harsh and that I’m the a**hole.

Kristin: You did. Yeah okay I’m not having this conversation right now.

Stephen: Yeah. I don’t miss the tone of that voice. (She laughs. She buries her face in his lap.)

Kristin: Come on.

Stephen: Help me up. (She gives him her hands and he takes them and he gets up. Then he jumps on her back. Then they run up the stairs to leave the beach. Then it shows the water and the sun reflecting off of it.)

Kristin: Oh I’m so emotional right now. I’ve been so emotional like the last like month. (She makes a face and laughs)

Stephen: Hang in there buddy.

Kristin: I know.

Stephen: My little bud. (He hugs her. Then they continue walking up the stairs) I’ll see you soon bud. (They hug again) Goodbye.

Kristin: Goodbye. (He kisses the top of her head) ‘Bye.

Stephen: Talk to you soon. (He gets in his car and drives off and Kristin stands there, thinking.)

Cut to: Kristin’s House

Kristin and Alex H are in her room, talking.

Alex H: It’s weird.

Kristin: I know. It’s really weird.

Alex H: (Sighs) Laguna is like so like our like comfort like we’re so familiar with everything and the people.

Kristin: It’s safety.

Alex H: And now it’s like none of our friends are here.

Kristin: So weird. Like out of this room, nothing will ever be the same to me. It’s gonna have such a different feel to it.

Alex H: Coming home.

Kristin: Yeah. It’s not gonna be the same, it’s not gonna be like…

Alex H: I know.

Kristin: I remember the first time that like Jessica, when she came up to me, she was like “I just wanna introduce myself before Alex M says anything bad about me to you”. (She laughs) The first thing she ever said to me.

Alex H: That hasn’t changed too much. (It cuts to outside, where Jessica is getting out of her car and coming inside.)

Jessica: Hi girls.

Kristin: What’s up?

Alex H: Hello.

Jessica: What are you doin’?

Kristin: I’m getting really, really sad. Oh my god and I don’t even believe I’m saying goodbye to you, J. (She gets up and throws something out) God! I’ve been like so…I’ve been such an emotional wreck the last like couple days.

Alex H: I know. (They are helping Kristin pack)

Kristin: That’s the thing. I’ve always been like I want to leave, I want to leave, I want to get out of here and now it’s happening and I’m like…(Jessica sits down) How many memories have we had in this room?  

Alex H; Getting ready like sitting right here with the mirror.

Kristin: It’s always like Jessica sitting right here and like Alex and I are in here. God! (She sighs) Are you crying?

Jessica: No!

Kristin: Please don’t cry because I’m gonna start crying.

Jessica: I’m not crying.

Kristin: I’m gonna miss you.

Jessica: I’m gonna miss you too.

Kristin: Thank God I don’t have to say goodbye to you. Oh my god. I don’t know what I would do. I can’t believe we’re going to college. Oh my god.

Jessica: I know.

Kristin: (Crying and hugging Jessica) I can’t do this right now! K, let’s go. (It cuts to them going outside. Kristin puts her stuff in her car. Then she walks back to Jessica and Alex H and hugs Jessica.) I’m going to miss you so much.

Jessica: I’m going to miss you too.

Kristin: I love you, J.

Jessica: I love you, too. The whole group. (They all hug) I love you.

Alex H: I love you, J.

Kristin: Okay I love you.

Alex H: Love you, J.

Jessica: Love you guys. (Jessica gets in her car and leaves. They wave goodbye to her and blow kisses.) Bye.

Alex H: Love you, J. I’m all sad.

Kristin: Um, well I’ll see you tonight in LA.

Alex H: Okay. Just call me then.

Kristin: Okay.

Alex H: All right.

Kristin: All right, bye.

Alex H: Bye. (They hug) Call me.

Cut to: Talan’s House

Talan and Jason are saying goodbye to each other.

Talan: This boy’s going home. (They high five)

Jason: Give me call when you get there.

Talan: Aw, my brother. (They hug)

Jason: Love you.

Talan: Love you.

Jason: All right, later. (They pound fists) Get out of here.

Talan: Call me.

Jason: I will.

Talan: Yeah. (He opens his car door and gets in.) I won’t wanna talk you then. (They laugh) Here we go. (Talan leaves)

Cut to: LC’s House

She is saying goodbye to her parents. Her dad puts her suitcases in the backseat of her car. She hugs her Dad and kisses his cheek.

LC: (Hugs her mom) Bye you. I love you. (Kisses her mom)

Kathy: You’re a great kid.

LC: Thank you Mommy. (Her dad laughs) I will call you guys later. (She gets in her car.)

Kathy: K, sweetie.

LC: Bye.

Kathy: Bye.

Jim: Bye. (She waves goodbye as she leaves. It shows her driving away and the beach.)

Cut to: The Beach

Kristin is walking near the beach. She looks out at the water and thinks of her memories of Laguna with Stephen and Alex H and Jessica.

Stephen: What’s goin’ on? Thanks for dropping by. (They hug)
