Kristin: (V.O.) Jason and Lauren were so into each other. But he couldn’t control himself around Jessica.

Jason: I still care about you. Don’t worry about it. (He kisses her)

Kristin: (V.O.) Lauren was really pissed.

LC: I watched you kiss Jessica! Get away from me! Don’t touch me. Get away from me.

Kristin: (V.O.) And Jason was devastated.

LC: I don’t ever wanna talk to you again.

Kristin: (V.O.) Now the summer was coming to an end so Lauren decided to throw this big farewell party before everyone left for school. And she ended up inviting someone I never would have expected.

CUT TO: LC’s House

LC, Jen and Dieter are sitting outside, talking.

LC: When does everybody leave?

Jen: I leave a week. You leave…?

Dieter: Four days.

Jen: Four days?

LC: Are we gonna do something before everybody leaves?

Jen: Yeah I really wanna see everyone.

Dieter: You know what my dream of the night would be?

LC: (Throws popcorn to Jen) What?

Dieter: I want everyone here and we’ll get like a bunch of cool food and like…

LC: No, no, this is what it’s gonna be. We’re all gonna get dressed up, we’re gonna get it catered…

Jen: We are dressing up?

LC: We’re dressing up.

Dieter: ‘Cause it’s like our last night together in Laguna.

LC: Who am I inviting to my house?

Dieter: Jessica, Jason.

LC: Are you insane? Why would I ever invite that girl?

Dieter: You should invite Kristin. She’s so much more mellow now.

Jen: Kristin?

LC: Whatever, I’m so over it. We’re gonna be living in the same town, LA’s a small place. (Her cell phone starts ringing and she looks at it and she gets a weird look on her face)

Jen: Jason? He’s calling you right now?

LC: I’m not gonna talk to him. He won’t be coming.

Jen: He won’t be coming? He’s not invited to our party?

LC: He’s not allowed at my house, not after the benefit.

CUT TO: Opening Credits

CUT TO: Talan’s House

Jason is sitting outside when Talan joins him.

Talan: Flava flave! 

Jason: What are you doin’?

Talan: (High fives Jason) Ruffling dog, champion of the world! (Talan sits down)

Jason: Oh, what are these?

Talan: My mom. Looks like you had a rough night. Lost the love of your life. I’m just kidding.

Jason: Funny, huh?

Talan: It got worse?

Jason: It got worse.

Talan: Dude, that chick like wanted you dude. Like I was like “So you and Jason?” Dude she was like “I love that kid”.

Jason: After it happened or before?

Talan: Before everything started. I’m not making you feel bad?

Jason: Dude it sucks ‘cause I really liked her. And it like wasn’t supposed to happen like that. Like I wanted to f**king like marry the chick. God, why does Jessica have to be there?

Talan: You should call her and go “Look LC, I need you to talk to me”.

Jason: But Lauren’s the kind of girl that dude you can’t like…

Talan: I think that she feels so hurt, she put so much into like you, like “I like Jason a lot, we’re so good together” so I think that’s what it is. It’s like…she’s just so hurt that you like…you should go, call and leave a message and go “Look LC, I need you to talk to me, I need to literally like sit down and have a person to person conversation and you need to talk to me. I’ll meet you anywhere, anytime, whatever I want to talk to you”.

CUT TO: The Beach

Kristin, Jessica, and Alex H are walking down the stairs to the beach.

Kristin: Hey, you going to Lauren’s tonight?

Alex H: I don’t know if I am.

Jessica: I’m not.

Kristin: Why aren’t you going?

Jessica: Are you serious?

Alex H: Think of the situation.

Jessica: I’m not gonna go on her territory after I like hooked up with her boyfriend.

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: You created a little bit of drama.

Jessica: Okay I…

Kristin: I can’t believe you would do that to Lauren. But you know.

Alex H: I can’t believe you kissed Jason! (Pushes Jessica)

Kristin: No honestly I love you 20 times more than Lauren but like…

Jessica: Yeah.

Kristin: That’s like…you don’t do that.

Jessica: Are you kidding me? I hate people who do s**t like that. Are you kidding me?

Kristin: You’re one of them.

Jessica: I know.

Kristin: Did you seriously kiss Jason?

Jessica: No…

Alex H: Yeah.

Jessica: Can I seriously…can I tell you something and can you not freak? (They sit down in the sand) It’s not like I went and pursued him and tried to kiss him. It just happened. He grabbed my face, we kissed. Yeah, it takes two people to kiss and do that stuff so yeah like I’m at fault too but like it’s not l like went and pursued him, you know?

Kristin: Yeah I know.

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: I don’t know what to do with you.

Jessica: Ugh.

CUT TO: Morgan S.’s House

Alex M, Taylor and Morgan S are talking in her kitchen.

Taylor: So Lauren’s party tonight.

Morgan S: I’m so excited.

Alex M: It’s gonna be fun.

Taylor: I know but like at the end we have to say goodbye to everyone. That’s like the last time I’ll see like 95% of those people.

Alex M: Or we’ll all be together.

Taylor: Yeah.

Alex M; This is really sad.

Taylor: I wonder if Kristin will say gonna say goodbye.

Morgan S: No I wouldn’t count on it.

Taylor: I don’t care. I don’t want her to. I don’t think Kristin’s ever been to Lauren’s before. It sucks when like the girl you hate and you walk in and the house is amazing and you’re like “This makes me hate her more”. But I think tonight will be fun. It’s like a cool spot and it’s like the ultimate Laguna.

Alex M: Beautiful. It’s gonna be so much fun, it’s being catered. It’s gonna be really nice.

Morgan S: What are you gonna wear? ‘Cause it’s kind of like cocktail.

Taylor: Yeah it’s like dressy.

Morgan S: Like dressy.

Taylor: Summer dressy a little bit.

Alex M: Is Jessica going?

Morgan S: I heard that she wasn’t invited. I don’t know…

Taylor: And not allowed.

Morgan S: Uh…

Taylor: Lauren’s really hurt. She really liked Jason.

Alex M: Freakin’ A! Everyone needs to just get over Jason. (Morgan S laughs) Come on. When will people learn?

CUT TO: LC’s House

LC is setting up for her party. Cedric and Talan show up. LC tries to light the bonfire. Lo shows up. LC lights torches. Stephen ands Dieter come inside.

Stephen: Party house. (Cuts to outside. Heidi sits next to Lo)

Lo: Are all those younger girls coming?

Heidi: Mm-hmm.

Stephen: Wanna share a ass cheek with me? (LC pats the seat next to her and he sits with her)

Heidi: You’re my buddy right now.

Stephen: How is that move, eh? An eight? A nine? A seven? Kinda workin’ my game here.

LC: That was pretty good.

Heidi: Hey baby. Come sit.

Stephen: Who’s coming over?

LC: It’s like basically everyone, minus Jessica and Jason.

Stephen: Jason and Jessica, what are they doing tonight?

LC: Uh…

Stephen: Do they have a hot date tonight? (They all laugh and Heidi hits him) That’s my cue to exit. (He gets up)

Heidi: No! (Lo laughs)

LC: Yeah we don’t want you here anyway.

Cedric: Oh there’s the skewers. Excuse me, excuse me.

LC: Oh the food came. (She gets up)

Cedric: Oh you go first Lo.

LC: Thanks Ced.

Heidi: Lauren?

LC: Yeah?

Heidi: What a great party thank you.

Talan: Lauren we love you. I love your bruscetta. 

LC: Mmm…these are good. (Everyone sits down to eat)

Lo: Lauren, I love you.

LC: Lo, I love you.

Alex M: (Comes down the stairs with Morgan S and Taylor) Hello!

Morgan S: Hey.

Lo: Oh actually I like all of them.

Alex M: Hey friends.

LC: (Hugs Taylor) Hello. You look so cute.

Talan: I was so nervous.

Alex M: Your first time ever?

Talan: I was so nervous.

Alex M: Ever performing?

Talan: I was nervous, I was shitting myself.

Alex M: No you did awesome.

Talan: I was beside myself, I was so nervous.

Taylor: Well congrats on you not letting Mister…

LC: Jason.

Taylor: Yeah.

LC: I just told him he’s not welcome at my house anymore.

Taylor: All of us were like “What is she doing?” but at the same time you have to experience it for yourself. Like whatever anybody told you, you got to see it for yourself and you saw it and…

LC: It sucks to care about him as a person.

Taylor: Yeah.

LC: He’s a cool guy.

Taylor: It’s hard not to though. Like I love bad boys.

LC: You wanna be the one to fix it.

Taylor: ‘Cause you wanna be the one whose like good for them. You wanna be the one whose like…

LC: You just have to hope that you’re worth changing for. 

Taylor: It’s also hard not to forgive him ‘cause it’s like he’s so nice when he’s saying sorry.

LC: He’s a good apologizer.

Taylor: They all are. Ah! Boys.

LC: Boys suck.

CUT TO: Jessica’s House

Alex H: Do you guys think they’re really having fun at Lauren’s?

Kristin: Mm-hmm.

Jessica: You guys should go.

Kristin: Mm-mm. Imagine walking in.

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: At Lauren’s house.

Alex H: I mean everyone’s saying, everyone’s like “You would be welcome because it’s for everyone to go see everyone before they go”.  You know? I think we should just stop by. Or maybe this can finally be like…

Kristin: Like closure to like everything.

Alex H: Yeah. You and Lauren should just be like “What’s up? Let’s be friends” like…you know?

Kristin: If we stop by, if I seriously like want to leave will you leave with me?

Alex H: Of course. Yes of course.

Jessica: I think you should go.

CUT TO: LC’s House

Taylor: Well I’m like excited.

Cedric: Have you started packing, Tay-tay?

Taylor: No.

Cedric: She leaves Tuesday. She leaves Tuesday.

LC: Oh my god.

Taylor: I can’t believe I’m leaving. It hasn’t like hit me. It’s like…

Stephen: Isn’t it like a weird feeling? I couldn’t tell if I was depressed or not but then I was just kinda like taking it all in like last month…once you get to the last couple days, then you start getting pumped.

LC: I felt like when it came I was like I felt like it had come too fast.

Stephen: What, what?

LC: Stop it. Like when it finally happened I was like “Whoa”. (Stephen phone rings) It just happened really fast.

Stephen: Fashionably late or are we just tardy?

LC: Who is that?

Stephen: It’s Kristin.

LC; Tell her to get her little butt up here.

Stephen: Uh, kinda. I think so. It’s chill though. (Laughs) It’s chill. Mm…no. I think it’s only supposed to be us…it’s like only supposed to be us. I don’t know. All right. (Hangs up)

CUT TO: Kristin’s Car

Kristin and Alex H are driving to LC’s House

Kristin: Can we seriously be bitches only?

Alex H: Bitches only! (They laugh)

Kristin: I never thought I’d be driving up to Lauren’s house being like “Yeah let’s go like hang out”.

Alex H: Oh that’s…

Kristin: But the like walking in part. That’s the part I don’t like ‘cause that’s when it’s like…

Alex H: It’s like her territory like walking in…

Kristin: See that’s what I mean.

Alex H: Hey.

Kristin: Here’s the thing. I’m going to college. And there’s no point in us having this like stupid…

Alex H; I know.

Kristin: Bickerness between each other. The Stephen thing, that happened and it sucked that it had to happen.

Alex H: I mean that’s not cool to steal someone’s boyfriend, that’s not.

Kristin: Like I’m over it, whatever. I don’t hold grudges like I did for a while with her but that was for obvious reasons. I really loved Stephen and like that wasn’t cool so…

Alex H: I just got kinda nervous.

Kristin: I can’t believe we’re at Lauren’s house. (Pulls into LC’s driveway) 

Alex H: We’ll just go. I’m nervous for you but I didn’t wanna say anything. (They get out of the car. Kristin locks the car.)

Kristin: Oh my god.

Alex H: Ow! (They open the door and go in. Kristin sighs before going in. They open the other door and go inside her house)

Kristin: I can’t believe I’m at Lauren’s house. (It cuts to outside where everyone is.)

LC: Gonna have like an empty…

Morgan S: We have a pool? (Stephen gets up)

Dieter: I didn’t know that. I thought you…I didn’t even know…(Stephen goes up the stairs)

Alex M: Hey friends. 

Heidi: Hi baby.

Kristin: Oh yeah.

Heidi: Hello.

Alex H: We didn’t know it was like a dress-up party. Everyone’s wearing dresses, but whatever. (They go down the stairs)

Stephen: Found these girls outside in the bushes.

Alex M: Hey Kristin.

Kristin: (Walk past everyone) Lauren, I’m supposed to talk to her but…(Laughs)

Taylor: That’s really rude.

LC: Yeah I haven’t been doing so hot lately. (Stephen sits with Kristin and Alex H)

Kristin: Yeah this is really comfortable.

Stephen: I’ve been trying to…stop (Kristin and Stephen laugh) I’ve recently found out that girls are like no one likes when you’re like…(Touches Kristin’s shoulder)

Kristin: Ow! God! (Hits him)

Stephen: Yeah…

Alex H: ‘Cause it’s like they think that you’re gonna like hook your arm around them.

Stephen: Not even that but like always if you were to like hug and like right here and I do it right here and you’re always “No…that hurts”.

Kristin: It does!

Stephen: I found it’s better to just like squeeze.

Kristin: Ow!

Alex H: Put your arm around and be like…

Alex M: They’re clicking again.

Kristin: God this is swell.

Stephen: You wanna leave?

Kristin: Yeah I wanna go right now.

Alex H: Let’s go right now.

Kristin: Let’s go. (Stephen laughs)

Jen: Kristin, are you leaving with Stephen? (Kristin hugs Heidi and Stephen hugs LC)

Stephen: Thank you for having me over, it was a pleasure.

LC: Thanks. (Kristin hugs Morgan S)

Kristin: Wait let me…whatever I don’t care. (Stephen, Kristin, and Alex H leave)

LC: That was kind of mean.

Morgan S: Guys, where’d Stephen go?

Heidi: He left with Kristin.

CUT TO: The Next Day – Kristin’s House

Jessica, Alex H, and Kristin are talking about LC’s party.

Kristin: You’re really amped you didn’t go last night. It was…so much fun.

Alex H: And it was like…we show up, I’m wearing jeans, Kristin’s wearing a little jean skirt, everyone’s like wearing dresses.

Kristin: Oh yeah, everyone’s wearing like dresses and stuff and we were like…”Um…”

Alex H: And all the guys were dressed all nicely and we’re like “Okay”.

Kristin: Yeah we’re like “This would have been good to know”.

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: It was like a cocktail party.

Alex H: Yeah it was like a fancy thing.

Jessica: How…?

Kristin: And then walking downstairs I was just like “This is so awkward right now”. And it didn’t help the situation with Lauren at all because I didn’t even talk to her. So I’m like…my whole point of coming up there was worthless.

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: Stephen left with us.

Jessica: What’d you guys do?

Kristin: Went and got more food. (They laugh) And it was like the first time I’ve hung out with Stephen in a long time where it’s just been like friends and…

Alex H: Yeah.

Jessica: Was it like good?

Kristin: Yeah. It was just fun. (Jessica’s phone rings)

Jessica: Oh my god. Can I get my phone?

Kristin: (Sighs) Are you expecting a phone call from someone?

Jessica: No.

Kristin: Like Jason? (Alex H laughs)

Jessica: I’m not. What? (They all laugh)

Kristin: Just kidding.

CUT TO: A Store

LC, Heidi, and Jen are shopping.

Heidi: Last night was like one of the most relaxing nights I’ve had in a while.

Jen: Yeah it was really relaxing.

Heidi: Who left first last night? Did Stephen and Kristin leave first?

Jen: They did not stay very long last night.

Heidi: No.

LC: I think I need new shoes.

Jen: I always need new shoes.

LC: After a rough couple of days, shoes make me feel happy.

Heidi: When it doubt shoe it out.

Jen: Shoe it out. I love shoes.

LC: I just can’t wait to move to LA.

Heidi: Oh my gosh. We’re all moving to LA this week.

Jen: Who do you think we’ll be hanging out with?

LC: I don’t know. I mean…

Heidi: Are you hang out with Stephen at all?

LC: I don’t know. He might do his own thing up there.

Jen: Are you gonna hang out with Jason?

LC: We’ll see.

Jen: You know what Jason said to me? He said he was devastated.

Heidi: He’s such a good guy. It’s just an unfortunate event.

Jen: I wouldn’t say he’s a good guy after that.

Heidi: No I think…

Jen: No he’s a good guy at heart. He’s a good guy at heart.

Heidi: He’s just selfish sort of.

Jen: And he means well. So there’s no chance that you would ever…? (LC shrugs)

CUT TO: Jason’s House

He gets out his phone and calls Jessica.

Jessica: Hello?

Jason: Hey what up?

Jessica: Nothin’ what are you doin’?

Jason: Just chillin’. You wanna cruise by real quick?

Jessica: Um, sure.

Jason: All right bye. (They hang up. A minute later, Jessica shows up at Jason’s House) What up?

Jessica: Hi Jason. (Sits down across from him) How are you?

Jason: Good. You know kinda, kinda feeling sick but…

Jessica: I’m sorry.

Jason: What you been up to?

Jessica: Same old stuff. What about you?

Jason: Just getting ready to leave to LA.

Jessica: Excited?

Jason: Yeah. Yup, yup, yup.

Jessica: How’s Lauren?

Jason: We’re trying to work things out, after what happened.

Jessica: It’s like amazing that something like that little can like…whatever. First Alex, now Lauren. Great I’m just on a roll. (He laughs) I have you to thank for that.

Jason: It was you.

Jessica: I didn’t kiss you.

Jason: Yeah you did.

Jessica: Are you kidding me?

Jason: No way.

Jessica: People saw you grab me and kiss me thank you very much. I did not kiss you. You can not blame that on me.

Jason: Summer’s been crazy.

Jessica: Certainly has. You should call her.

Jason: Thank you.

Jessica: Yeah. I’m gonna go.

Jason: K.

Jessica: Good luck with life.

Jason: All right.

Jessica: Bye Jason.

Jason: Bye. (They hug. She leaves and he goes inside)

CUT TO: Road

Jason is driving when he calls LC. LC hesitates, but eventually answers.

LC: Hello?

Jason: Hey what are you doing?

LC: Sitting at my house.

Jason: Is it cool if I stop by real quick and talk to you?

LC: Yeah that’s fine but you can’t come inside, my dad won’t let you.

Jason: Okay.

LC: Okay, bye.

Jason: Bye. (They hang up. Jason pulls up to her house and LC comes outside. Jason gets out of his car.) How’s it going?

LC: Fine.

Jason: How’ve you been?

LC: Good.

Jason: I wanted to come over here and apologize to you. To say I’m sorry for…

LC: Kissing another girl? In front of me?

Jason: Yeah. But um, I don’t know. This sucks ‘cause I still like you and stuff but I know what I did was…

LC: Dumb?

Jason: Dumb. But I don’t know I just wanted to know that I’m really sorry and that I still do like you.

LC: That’s supposed to make it better?

Jason: No. But it’s true. How do you feel about everything?

LC: I feel like you kissed another girl in front of me and I trusted you and if you were gonna do it on front of me then I don’t even wanna know what you did not in front of me. Like put yourself in my position, honestly.

Jason: I know.

LC: Like how would you feel if I kissed an ex-boyfriend right in front of you? But I was sorry. (He laughs)

Jason: I would’ve been pissed too, I know.

LC: You don’t go to a family function, in front of all of my family and all of my friends and kiss me if front of all them and then kiss another girl and have everyone know. Like that’s humiliating for me.

Jason: No I totally understand.

LC: It just sucks like I don’t understand like you ruined everything. You know that, right?

Jason: Yup.

LC: I don’t know what you want me to say.

Jason: Nothing more.

LC: Hmm?

Jason: Nothing more. All right well…(Jason gets in his car. LC opens the gate. Jason leaves as LC goes down the stairs. She opens the door and goes inside and shuts it. Jason drives away.)
