Previously on Laguna Beach…

Kristin: (V.O.) Stephen came home for the summer, thinking he was gonna hang out with Lauren. But all of a sudden, she was into Jason, random.

Jason: (Hugs LC) You look really cute.

Kristin: (V.O.) Their hook up was about to become the talk of the town.

Dieter: She’s going on a date with J-Wahl.

Stephen: Wait, wait, wait, rewind.

Kristin: (V.O.) But we all had bigger things to think about. Graduation was coming and it was bringing everyone together. After their nasty fight…

Casey: Why can’t you just be a big person and get over it?

Alex M: That’s rude!

Kristin: (V.O.) Even Casey and Alex were about to make up.

Alex M: Friends forever.

Kristin: (V.O.) And I was getting to a good place with Stephen.

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Alex H, Kristin, and Jessica are there, looking at yearbooks and talking.

Alex H: Jess, I wrote the cutest thing in your yearbook. Did you read it yet?

Jessica: Yeah, you’re such a nice girl.

Alex H: I know.

Kristin: Alex, you still have to sign my yearbook.

Alex H: I know.

Jessica: (To Kristin) You still have to sign mine.

Kristin: I know.

Alex H: (To Kristin) You have to sign mine, too.

Kristin: I can’t believe we’re graduating.

Jessica: Like 18 years like…

Alex H: 12 years of school.

Jessica: 12…yeah whatever.

Alex H: Talan’s not coming to our graduation.

Kristin: I know. I think that’s really lame. He’s not walking.

Alex H: Not…he’s not gonna be apart of the Senior activities or anything?

Kristin: Oh I don’t know but he’s just not walking.

Alex H: Really?

Kristin: He’s just gonna get his GED.

Jessica: Oh my god.

Alex H: Like…okay random. It’s weird.

Jessica: Why are Stephen and Dieter going? ‘Cause they wanna go?

Kristin: Well Dieter wants to see you graduate and Stephen wants to see me graduate.

Alex H: They’re like friends with everybody. (Jessica and Kristin laugh)

CUT TO: Credits

CUT TO: LC’s House

LC is making her bed and talking with Heidi and Jen.

LC: I didn’t eat breakfast this morning.

Jen: Neither did I.

Heidi: Did you have fun with Jason?

LC: So much fun.

Heidi: Really?

LC: No…seriously did you see the car?

Jen: No. (Heidi laughs)

LC: Oh…do you know what a hot rod is?

Jen: Yeah I know what a hot rod is.

LC: Literally, the part where you sit is like this big and there’s no doors. You just sit in it.

Jen: Why…

Heidi: Wait, is there a roof?

LC: No.

Jen: What’d you guys talk about?

LC: I don’t know, stuff.

Heidi: Was he really sweet?

LC: Yeah, he’s very sweet.

Jen: So are you gonna hang out with him again today?

LC: Yeah, I’m going over to his grandpa’s house.

Jen: What would you possibly do at his grandparent’s house?

LC: I don’t know.

Heidi: Do they have a really nice house?

LC: Yeah I guess they have a super nice house like right on the beach.

Jen: That’s so cute.

Heidi: Aw.

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Stephen pulls up and goes inside. He looks for Kristin who is in the office but he doesn’t see her at first.

Stephen: Hello?

Kristin: Stephen, I’m here, in the office.

Stephen: Oh.

Kristin: Hi. (She laughs and they hug) You get your hair cut?

Stephen: Uh, a while ago, yeah, I did.

Kristin: It looks good.

Stephen: How are you?

Kristin: Good, how are you?

Stephen: I’m good.

Kristin: (Holds up his ticket) Here’s your ticket.

Stephen: (Takes it) Well thank you.

Kristin: Mm-hmm. And then, um, Jessica’s giving one to Dieter.

Stephen: Oh really? (Puts the ticket in his pocket)

Kristin: Yeah so…

Stephen: So we’ll probably go together. So you excited to graduate?

Kristin: Yeah, yeah I know what you were going through last year.

Stephen: Yeah? What’s that supposed to mean?

Kristin: (She laughs) No, nothing. I’m just saying.

Stephen: Yeah, it was a trip.

Kristin: Like, after Prom, and that whole week, that’s when I was like “Oh my god”.

Stephen: Yeah, it’s the last big…(clicking sound)

Kristin: Yeah, that’s when I was thinking too much, you know?

Stephen: Yeah.

Kristin: But now, now I’m just excited.

Stephen: Well thanks for my ticket.

Kristin: Well I’m glad you’re coming.

Stephen: Well thank you. (Hugs her)

Kristin: You’re welcome. (She laughs)

Stephen: Bye bud.

Kristin: Buh-bye. (Stephen leaves)

CUT TO: Jessica’s House

Dieter shows up for his ticket. He honks his car horn long and loud until Jessica comes outside.

Jessica: I’m coming! You’re so rude. All right! Oh my god. (Comes down the stairs)

Dieter: Hey!

Jessica: Hi. You’re so rude.

Dieter: You’re really graduating? (She almost hits him) I’m just joking.

Jessica: I know, it’s a sight to be seen. Thanks for coming.

Dieter: I told you I’d be at your graduation no matter how much stupid s**t you do. I’ll always be at your graduation.

Jessica: How have I done stupid s**t?

Dieter: I’m just saying. I don’t know what you’ve done. I’m just saying.

Jessica: I haven’t done anything.

Dieter: That’s my one thing, I’ll always be at your graduation.

Jessica: All right. (Pats his arm and his face) Thanks buddy. Don’t run me over.

Dieter: (His car moves) I’m sorry, go.

Jessica: No. Bye. (Dieter leaves and Jessica goes back inside)

CUT TO: Taylor’s House

Taylor and Alex M are outside, talking.

Alex M: Tay, Casey called me.

Taylor: She did?

Alex M: And invited me, well all of us, over for lunch, at her house.

Taylor: Did you say okay?

Alex M: What was I supposed to do? Be like “Uh, no”.

Taylor: I thought you guys were just gonna leave it at like “Whatever Casey, I’m not gonna be mean to you, but like I don’t really wanna be friends with you”.

Alex M: Well, see, the thing is, I don’t wanna have any beef with anyone. We can get past this and make amends, I think that’s the word. Not that I’m gonna like go out of my way to hang out with her, but like I’m just like so over dramatic like awkwardness.

Taylor: That’ll be interesting.

Alex M: Really interesting.

Taylor: She’s gonna be like “Al!”

Alex M: Mm-hmm.

Taylor: (Imitating Casey) Hey guys!

Alex M: (Imitating Casey) Hi! Hey guys, come in over here.

Taylor: Oh my god, you look so pretty.

Alex M: You’re so cute. Oh my god.

Taylor: We’re so mean. Stop, stop, stop it.

Alex M: It’s not mean, it’s just Casey.

CUT TO: LC’s House

Jason shows up to bring her to his grandparent’s house. He gets out of his car and goes down the stairs and knocks. LC opens the door and comes out.

LC: Hello.

Jason: Hi hon. (LC shuts the door) Ready? (Puts his arms around her)

LC: Uh huh. (It cuts to them in the car) Do you think we’re kinda random?

Jason: What do you mean?

LC: You and me?

Jason: Like together?

LC: Yeah.

Jason: Random, yeah. Like really random.

LC: That’s so funny. I don’t think… like months ago, if you had told me that, I would’ve been like “What?”

Jason: Yeah. (He kisses her hand)

LC: Thank you.

Jason: Of course. (Pulls in to his grandparent’s house’s driveway. He turns the car off and kisses LC a few times before they get out. It cuts to the back of the house.)

LC: Oh my god. This is such a nice house. Are your grandparents home?

Jason: No. (They get in the Jacuzzi. Jason gets close to LC and they kiss.)

LC: Could you ever live away from the beach?

Jason: Yeah.

LC: Really?

Jason: Not like too far. I could live here forever.

LC: Could you?

Jason: With you.

LC: That’s cute. (They get close again and kiss a few times)

CUT TO: Jessica’s House

It’s Graduation Day and Jessica is getting ready.

Jessica: Diana, I need your fashion advice. (Holds up a bright pink dress) is this too scandalous? I know it looks like lingerie but when the dress is on, it sort of looks…(Diana laughs)

Diana: That’s so short. (Jessica gets out her cell phone and calls Alex H)

Jessica: Well it’s just kinda gnarly like how much it shows through so I don’t wanna like…

Alex H: It’s Jessica. (Answers the phone) Hey.

Jessica: Your dress is hot pink, right?

Alex H: Uh huh. Jessica, I’m nervous. I know I’m gonna cry, so…

Jessica: Yeah.

Alex H: It’s like I’ve never been through anything like this so I don’t know how I’m supposed to like feel or act or…

Jessica: Yeah, exactly.

Alex H: Anything.

Jessica: Me too.

Alex H: I don’t know. I’m excited, but okay. Okay well, um, call me when you’re leaving.

Jessica: Okay, bye.

Alex H: Bye. (They hang up)

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Judith: Hey Kristin. Hey, come on down. (Kristin comes downstairs with her friend, Blake)

Dennis: We have a graduation present for you. (Puts a box wrapped in red with a white bow on it on the table)

Kristin: Thanks.

Judith: You look great.

Kristin: Thank you.

Dennis: You look great.

Judith: Big day.

Kristin: I know.

Dennis: You excited?

Kristin: (Un-ties the bow) Yeah, it’s really weird but yeah.

Dennis: Why is it weird?

Kristin: Because I’m graduating high school.

Dennis: (Laughs) Well we’ve all done it already. (Kristin un-wraps the present)

Kristin: Dad, you already got me a car. A fry pan? Thanks, Dad.

Dennis: A frying pan babe.

Kristin: (Holds it up) No, it’s perfect though, for my apartment.

Dennis: So you can start cooking some exciting things up in your life.

Kristin: Yay! (She laughs) Thank you.

Dennis: You’re welcome. (They hug and he kisses her cheek.)

CUT TO: Alex H.’s House

Her mom gives her a gift.

Lisa: I love you, happy graduation. I’m so proud of you.

Alex H: Don’t cry. (She opens the bag and there is a box inside and she opens the box and it is a ring) Wow, Mommy, and it’s real diamonds?

Lisa: Mm-hmm.

Alex H: Thank you. (They hug) Thank you, Mommy.

Casey: I love Tiffany’s. It’s just what I wanted! And the necklace!

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Alex H comes inside.

Kristin: (Opens a box) Thank you so much. (Kristin laughs – it is a picture of her and Alex H from Prom, in which Kristin is making a weird face) Oh my god.

Alex H: Isn’t that funny?

Kristin: This is Prom.

Alex H: Yeah! (Laughs)

Kristin: I love it, I love it.

CUT TO: Alex M.’s House

She walks in a room with her cap and gown on.

Craig: Aw, I’m so proud of you. (He hugs Alex M)

Alex M: Thanks Dad. (Alex M hugs her step-sister)

Craig: We can’t believe it.

Alex M: I know. (She opens a box and there is a passport inside)

Annette: Pull it out.

Craig: What is it? What is it?

Alex M: My really pretty Passport?

Craig: You’re going to Spain.

Annette: For a month.

Alex M: No way. (She squeals) I can’t believe that! (She hugs her Dad)

CUT TO: Cedric’s House

Cedric and Jason are getting ready for graduation.

Jason: Sup, buddy? (He goes to high five Cedric, but instead they hug) Getting ready?

Cedric: Yeah. I’m getting like a full wardrobe going. What are you gonna wear?

Jason: What I have on.

Cedric: Swear?

Jason: Yeah. (They laugh)

Cedric: I guess I could go naked. Or just like in boxers.

Jason: That’s what I’d do.

Cedric: How tight this is, if you’re naked like you put on like bulge (Takes his gown off a hanger). No like socks would be kinda manly, actually. (Jason shrugs) Oh my god, when I walk up and get my diploma, I’ll just like…(He lifts up his arms and you can see his boxers) and then my boxers will show. Damn, I like this look. Woo! (Lifts up his gown)

CUT TO: Jessica’s House

She is wearing her cap and gown.

Karen: You look adorable.

Jessica: This is my right side, right?

Karen: Mm-hmm.

Diana: Are you serious?

Darrell: And you’re graduating?

Karen: Let’s see.

Diana: I know. That’s what I said.

Darrell: Wow.

Karen: The first one to graduate from high school, we’re so proud!

Jessica: Shut up!

CUT TO: Taylor’s House

She is putting her cap and gown on while looking in the mirror.

Taylor: This hat is really putting me in a bad mood. I don’t like it. I’m not sexy. Look at my potato bag that I’m wearing.

Karen: Well that’s why you need to go ultra sexy and it counteracts the potato bag effect.

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Kristin and Alex H are getting ready.

Kristin: My gown’s so huge on me. (She laughs)

Alex H: My dress is not too long but…(it cuts to them looking in a mirror, putting on their caps)

Ken: You look pretty.

Taylor: Thank you. All right, bye you guys.

Ken: Bye.

Karen: Bye, see you later.

Ken: See you there. (Taylor leaves)

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Kristin: Okay, let’s go graduate.

Alex H: All right. My goodness. It’s starting to happen.

Kristin: It’s starting to happen for sure.

CUT TO: Graduation.

Casey’s family shows up. Alex M.’s Dad shows up and goes inside. Inside, Taylor’s parent’s look for seats. Dieter and Stephen go in. Kristin, Jessica, and Alex H stand outside with their class and Jessica hugs Kristin. They all go inside, cheering. They all sit down, taking picture with friends. Everyone hugs their friends. Then, the class speaker, Alex B, talks.

Alex B: If only everyone in the world had the chance to experience the beauty and uniqueness of living in Laguna Beach. If only LBHS had a Starbucks on campus and valet parking, (people laugh) then we probably wouldn’t have been late to school so many times. (People laugh and cheer) If only all things in life lasted so much longer than they actually do. If only we didn’t have to say goodbye. On behalf of the class of 2005, I’d like to thank everyone who helped us achieve and get where we are today. (Everyone claps and the graduates stand up to get their diplomas. They show Taylor gets hers and her parents, then Alex M, then Dieter and Stephen watching, then they show Kristin and Stephen points at her. Then they show Dennis taking Kristin’s picture. Then they show Jessica get her diploma.)

Woman: Congratulations, Class of 2005. (Then everyone throws their hats in the air and everyone hugs their friends. It cuts to outside, where Kristin, Jessica, and Alex H are jumping around and cheering.)

CUT TO: The Next Day – Alex H.’s House

Alex H and Kristin are lying in the bed.

Alex H: Let’s take a picture.

Kristin: All right, I got it. (Alex H takes a picture) That’s gonna be a bad one.

Alex H: I know. I can’t believe I graduated.

Kristin: It really hasn’t hit me yet.

Alex H: I know. You know how Alex B made the speech and she’s like “It’s the beginning…it’s the end of the beginning”.

Kristin: Yeah.

Alex H: For like 15 minutes, Jake was trying to explain to me what it meant and I still have no idea. The end of the beginning. I really honestly, I don’t…I don’t get it.

Kristin: I love that saying. Well…

Alex H: The end of the beginning.

Kristin: I’m not gonna explain it to you, I don’t have like enough patience right now. It’s like the end of one chapter and the beginning like of the rest of our life.

Alex H: It’s not. It’s the end of the beginning.

Kristin: I know. (Kristin makes a frustrated face)

Alex H: Whatever. We’re now college students. What if we gain the freshman fifteen?

Kristin: You will, I won’t. (Alex H laughs)

CUT TO: Casey’s House

Alex M, Morgan S, and Taylor show up for lunch at Casey’s House.

Taylor: Do you think anyone’s ever sat right there? (Points at a chair as Alex M knocks. Casey answers the door.) It’s kinda awkward.

Alex M: Hi. (They come inside)

Casey: How are you? (She hugs Alex M)

Taylor: (Hugs Casey) Such a cute sweater.

Casey: I made you guys lunch.

Alex M & Taylor: Aw.

Casey: (Cuts to outside) Welcome.

Alex M: This is so cute. (They all sit down) How cute is your table?

Morgan S: I know. Thanks for much for having us.

Casey: We’re having sandwiches (She and Alex M laugh)

Alex M: How wondrous. What a wondrous day. (A maid brings them sandwiches)

Casey: So we graduated. I can’t believe it you guys.

Morgan S: The guy that was like, like “Next year, you won’t talk to 95% of the people so stand up and look around at your graduating class, ‘cause this is it”.

Casey: It’s a huge thing, you know? It’s like…

Morgan S: I always think about everyday I’m not gonna be coming back to my house.

Casey: Me too.

Morgan S: And coming back to like…

Casey: That’s exactly like…

Morgan S: A place where I’m like comfortable.

Taylor: Yeah.

Casey: Oh my gosh you guys. It’s sad.

Taylor: I know. It’s weird.

Casey: We’re growing up.

Alex M: We’re turning into women. (Casey laughs)

Casey: I’m so glad you guys came over. I’m so glad.

Morgan S: It’s good to work stuff out before college.

Taylor: Yeah, you don’t want to leave with all the drama.

Alex M: Yeah.

Casey: I’m so glad we became friends again. Forgot everything. (She grabs Alex M.’s hand)

Alex M: Friends…friends forever.

CUT TO: The Beach

Jason and LC are sitting in the sand, with Jason’s surfboard in the sand nearby.

LC: Are you excited schools out?

Jason: Yeah excited for summer.

LC: Are you? (She laughs) Oh so am I.

Jason: What, you’re moving to LA soon, aren’t you?

LC: Yeah I’m not gonna stay here the whole summer, I’m gonna move up there kinda soon, ‘cause I’ve been here long enough.

Jason: I think I’m gonna go up to LA.

LC: You’re gonna move to LA?

Jason: Possibly.

LC: Everyone’s moving to LA.

Jason: Yeah it’s gonna be crazy.

CUT TO: Another part of the beach

Alex H comes up to Kristin and Jessica, sitting in chairs, and she sits with them.

Alex H: Hey bitches! What’s up?

Kristin: Hey man.

Alex H: I have some good stuff to tell you guys.

Kristin: What’s goin’ on?

Alex H: Lauren and Jason, are dating.

Kristin: What?

Alex H: Mm-hmm.

Jessica: What?

Kristin: Lauren.

Alex H: Yeah. Lauren and Jason are like a couple, like together.

Kristin: That’s the most random thing I’ve ever heard in my life.

Alex H: I know, I know.

Jessica: Are you serious?

Alex H: Yeah.

Jessica: Maybe he’ll treat her better. (She laughs)

Kristin: I wonder how that started.

Alex H: I think Lauren’s more into it than he is, like always.

Jessica: Like with every girl, yeah.

Kristin: Jason is weird with girls, like he doesn’t show any emotion or act like he even likes anyone.

Jessica: He treated me horribly, he treated Alex horribly. She’s not gonna be able to change him as much as she thinks she will.

Alex H: I give it like two more weeks.

Jessica: That’s funny.

CUT TO: The Beach where Jason and LC are.

They get up to leave.

LC: Don’t forget your surfboard. (She laughs)

Jason: (Picks up his surfboard) Waves were epic today. (LC laughs again) I love Lauren.

LC: What?

Jason: I love Lauren.

LC: Aw.

Jason: This is unbelievable.

LC: Is it unbelievable?

Jason: Unbelievable.

LC: You’re unbelievable.

Jason: Thank you.

LC: You’re welcome. (As they walk, Jason pushes LC. She goes toward him, but then stops. LC puts out her leg and he trips over it.)
