Previously on Laguna Beach…

Kristin: (V.O.) My weekend in San Francisco was a disaster. Stephen just didn’t get it, that we couldn’t be a couple anymore.

Kristin: It’s like you still treat me like I’m your girlfriend and that’s not what I want.

Kristin: (V.O.) And after her horrible time in Cabo, Jessica was moving on too.

Jessica: I want Jeff so bad.

Kristin: (V.O.) Luckily for her, he was a great guy. But we were about to have a raging fiesta and I did something I probably shouldn’t have. Jessica had been through so much drama. I just wanted her to be happy and I was glad the old Jessica was starting to come back.

CUT TO: The Beach

Jessica and Alex H sit down.

Alex H: Let’s, um, talk about Jeff.

Jessica: I am doing so good with Jeff and it’s unbelievable.

Alex H: I know you are.

Jessica: No, because like he called me this morning, with Jason, I always had to call first, always. With Jeff, I’m like doing the opposite of everything I did with Jason. And it is like rewarding me. I’m like finally my good karma is catching up to me.

Alex H: What’s that saying? It’s like “Don’t hate the player, hate the game” is that how it goes?

Jessica: “Don’t hate the game, hate the player”.

Alex H: “Don’t hate the game, hate the player?

Jessica: Yeah.

Alex H: I hate the f***ing game. Look I like you, I don’t like you, why does he have to mess with you? I hate that.

Jessica: If there was an answer to that, my like problems would be solved.

Alex H: Oh my god. And it sucks because like you know how the girl can play the game too? Like I don’t how to play the game.

Jessica: I don’t know how to play the game either. I don’t know how to play the game.

Alex H: I don’t know how to do that. I feel like every time I talk to a guy I mess it up somehow because I’m not playing the game right.

Jessica: ‘Cause you don’t know how to play the game, I’m the exact same way.

Alex H: I hate that. Whatever I need to learn how to play the game.

CUT TO: Alex H.’s House

Kristin and Alex H are setting up for their fiesta. They put streamers up.

Kristin: Let’s just do it like that.

Alex H: Yeah. (They’re putting up a piñata) Well do you see like a nail?

Kristin: Yeah there’s like one right there. It’s little.

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: Yeah. (Kristin puts up something that says “Happy Fiesta” on it) That’s not good. Whatever, we’ll just…

Alex H: Where should we put it? Like right here?

Kristin: Yeah. (Cuts to inside. Kristin is on the phone with Talan) Hey Talan, it’s Kristin. What are you doing? Come to our fiesta. Okay well that’s fine, but it starts at 2:30, so whatever just come right now. I never said that…Morgan…hold on. Alex, he says, “Why can’t Morgan come?” It’s not my house.

Alex H: She can come if she wants.

Kristin: Talan…

Alex H: She’s more than welcome to come.

Kristin: She can come, Morgan can come, but she can’t bring all of our friends. Don’t get me in the middle of it. I…

Alex H: Tell him Morgan can come.

Kristin: Morgan can come, Talan, Morgan can come but she can’t bring all of her friends. Just because, I’ll tell you later. Okay but are you gonna come? Okay I’ll see you then. Bye.

Alex H: You know what is really funny? Like two of the people, I won’t say their names but…

Kristin: I know.

Alex H: Had parties that we weren’t invited to.

Kristin: That’s why we’re not stressing about it.

Alex H: I’m not, I just think it’s funny. (To Billy) You’re a trooper. Okay, we’re ready for our party.

CUT TO: LC’s House

Jen is there while LC packs.

LC: I hate packing.

Jen: I love this shirt.

LC: Thank you.

Jen: What are you gonna take? Everything, as usual?

LC: Mm-hmm.

Jen: Are you gonna see Stephen up there?

LC: Um, I probably should because I’m up there.

Jen: What are you going to be doing up there?

LC: Um, I’m going up for the trunk show.

Jen: What’s the trunk show?

LC: A trunk show is when they bring like a whole collection, all of their styles, all their sizes, all their colors.

Jen: That’s so cool.

LC: I know.

Jen: What are you doing for it, like…?

LC: I’m just helping out.

Jen: That’s such good experience, for like what you wanna do.

LC: I know.

Jen: That’s so cool.

LC: I know. I’m excited.

Jen: Lauren I don’t know about this guy.

LC: I love that shirt.

Jen: I don’t know, man. We’re just gonna put that over here, along with this little guy. (LC calls Stephen. It shows Stephen.)

Stephen: Hello?

LC: Stephen? Hey.

Stephen: What is going on?

LC: I’m coming to San Francisco with that company I’m interning with.

Stephen: Back to your old stomping grounds, back up here. (She laughs) Told you you’d be back.

LC: Only for a day.

Stephen: Yeah dude that’d be cool. Let’s go get some food or something.

LC: So if you want tomorrow when I’m there I can just call you and give you the address and you can come meet me when I’m done.

Stephen: Sounds good. Buh bye. (They hang up. Goes back to LC in Laguna.)

Jen: Dinner as friends, right?

LC: Yeah.

CUT TO: Alex H.’s House

Jessica and some other people show up first to the fiesta.

Kristin: Welcome to the fiesta.

Jessica: Aye, aye, aye.

Kristin: Aye, aye, aye. (Jason and Cedric come. Jessica sees Jason and gets an annoyed look on her face. Talan comes.)

Alex H: (Goes to outside) Oh Talan’s here.

Kristin: Oh Talan’s here. Talan you’re not very talkative.

Talan: Sorry.

Alex H: Talan, did you lose your sidekick?

Talan: Yeah I don’t have it.

Kristin: Thanks J for smithering.

Jessica: Hi.

Kristin: What’s wrong bitch?

Jessica: Um, nothing.

Kristin: Don’t lie to me.

Jessica: Nothing’s wrong, I’m just like tired.

Kristin: Why? You’re really upset and I know it’s because of Jason. Jessica smithering…

Jessica: Will you listen to me for a sec?

Kristin: Okay what?

Jessica: It’s not like completely because of Jason, it’s just like, I don’t know why, no it’s like me, like I’m mad at myself.

Kristin: The feelings that you had with him.

Jessica: Yeah.

Kristin: Like seriously, I still think I have feelings for Stephen, but it’s not even like that. It’s like you have feelings for someone, but… and they come back, but the thing is like you have feelings for Jason, but it’s not like you want to be with him feelings.

Jessica: Yeah.

Kristin: It’s more like you miss what you guys had.

Jessica: Yeah.

Kristin: You don’t get mad at yourself for that, Jessica. Hello, the whole reason I wanted Stephen after he was hooking up with Lauren because Lauren…because I couldn’t have him anymore. So I was like “Wait a minute, wait a minute”.

Jessica: Yeah.

Kristin: You know?

Jessica: I know.

Kristin: So…

Jessica: I know okay.

Kristin: There’s a complete difference biotch. I love you. (They hug.) You know I love you. But seriously…(They hug again. Alex H comes out shouting and everyone stares at her.)

Alex H: It’s a fiesta!

Kristin: Yeah!

Alex H: Everyone stand up out of their seats, piñata. Stand up out of your seats and go that direction. (She points. Jason puts a hat on JP’s face)

Kristin: Yeah!  

Alex H: Wait let me guide you in the right direction. Right there, okay?

Jason: It’s right here dude.

Alex H: No Jason stop. Right here, okay?

Jason: (JP hits it) That’s two shots. (He hits it again and all the stuff comes out. Jason removes the hat. Everyone cheers.)

Alex H: Yeah! (Alex H and Kristin walk)

Kristin: Miss America, Miss America, Miss America. (She waves her hand. Goes to Alex H, Jessica, And Jeff taking pictures.)

Jessica: Smile.

Alex H: Yeah. close your eyes too. Oh that was a cute one. (They laugh) I’ll get you two here.

Jessica: Okay ready? Jeff are you gonna be nice? (He puts his arm around her)

Alex H: It’s a cute picture honestly. That’s totally cute. (Alex H and Jessica are near the water. Kristin is on the deck with Jeff. She bits his arm)

Kristin: Did I give you a hickey?

Jeff: No.

Kristin: Jason thinks I like Talan. I don’t like Talan like that. I was hooking up with him for like two weeks. I do care about him. Obviously I care about Talan. He’s one of my good friends, I care about him.

Guy: What are you guys doing out here?

Alex H: Looking at the ocean.

Jessica: The scenery. (Kristin kisses Jeff’s cheek. She hugs him.)

Kristin: I love you though.

Alex H: It’s getting really cold out here. (Kristin and Jeff kiss. They stop then it shows Alex H and Jessica. Kristin and Jeff kiss again.)

CUT TO: The Next Day – San Francisco

It shows a plane, then San Francisco. It goes to LC getting out of a cab. She goes to a place called The Grocery Store.

Sarah: We’re here! Good morning. Did you meet Lauren?

Susan: I did, I did, I said hi.

Sarah: You will learn a lot from Susan. Okay great let’s move our bags and then we’ll start a meeting with everybody.

CUT TO: Laguna Beach – Morgan S.’s House

Alex M, Taylor and Morgan S are playing pool.

Morgan S: Did you stuff about the barbecue we weren’t invited to last night?

Taylor: I heard it was lame.

Morgan S: Well I heard that like Jake called you and he was like “I just wanna get out of here”.

Taylor: Yeah he was like “Please Taylor like tell us something else to do, we’ve got to get out of here, it’s so boring”.

Morgan S: I heard that Kristin and Jeff Boyle hooked up last night.

Taylor: What a bitch. Doesn’t Jessica like…?

Alex M: That is rude to do to Jessica.

Taylor: Jessica likes him. See, no feelings.

Alex M: What a bitch, dude.

Taylor: I’m not surprised, actually.

Alex M: Wait, was Jessica there?

Morgan S: I don’t know where else she would be.

Alex M: Oh my gosh. I would be so mad.

Taylor: Talan called me last night after he left and he was like “How come Taylor, Morgan, and Alex aren’t allowed to be here?” And she goes, “Morgan’s allowed to come here”. And he was like “Well what about the other girls?” And she’s like “I’ll tell you later”.

Morgan S: If they’re gonna do that kinda crap then it pisses me off.

Taylor: Yeah they’ve declared it war.

CUT TO: Heidelberg Pastry Bistro

Alex H, Kristin, and Jessica are sitting outside.

Alex H: Come on, bitches!

Kristin: Yesterday was a lot of fun.

Jessica: I had a lot of fun, after I got over the initial, “Oh I miss Jason, no wait I don’t really”.

Alex H: I like how it was like all boys. (They laugh) But supposedly Alex and Taylor were like really mad that they weren’t invited.

Kristin: Well I’m sorry.

Alex H: It’s like, seriously, we don’t hang out with them.

Kristin: Why would we invite them if we don’t even talk to them? I mean like…That’s why I don’t wanna go to the wave thing cause being on a little bus with that whole crew of people to San Diego just doesn’t sound too appealing to me.

Alex H: No. I’m scared of waves, why would I wanna go to a fake wave?

Jessica: I wanna go cause Jeffrey’s going.

Kristin: You really like Jeff, huh? Yeah you do.

Alex H: Mm-hmm.

Kristin: You do.

Jessica: I don’t know if I really like him or I just think he’s so cute and like…and like… 

Alex H: You get this smile on your face everytime you talk to him.

Jessica: Okay here’s the thing…

Alex H: You’re trying to cover it up. 

Kristin: You’re blushing.

Jessica: Shut up! No I’m not! Okay here’s the thing. I think it’s like a good opportunity for like Alex and I to be in the same vicinity and not like have her want to ring my neck. 

Kristin: Mm-hmm.

CUT TO: San Francisco – The Grocery Store

LC is writing something. It goes to her hanging up clothes. She holds up one shirt to her. Stephen comes in. LC hugs him.

Stephen: Hi. (She squeals) How are you?

LC: Good.

Woman: (Stephen and LC leave) Bye!

Stephen: Thank you.

LC: Bye. Thanks.

Stephen: Bye.

CUT TO: Stephen’s Car

Stephen is driving them to go eat.

LC: So you’re coming up for summer and have you decided if you’re coming back here?

Stephen: Um, me and my brother are looking for a place in Manhattan Beach.

LC: So you’re moving to LA?

Stephen: Yeah, I’ll like probably take classes at Santa Monica.

LC: Now Stephen, senior year, I decided I wanted to go to San Francisco.

Stephen: Uh huh.

LC: And then you decided you wanted to go to San Francisco. Then I decided to move to LA. Stephen are you following me?

Stephen: You wish. (She laughs)

LC: It’s okay, I understand. (It cuts to them walking to a restaurant. Stephen opens the door for her.) Thank you. (They go in and sit down)

Woman: Here you go.

LC: Thank you.

Stephen: Ooh.

Woman: Enjoy your meal.

Stephen & LC: Thank you.

Stephen: How’s the good old LB?

LC: I’ve like never in Laguna. I have school twice a week, at Irvine and they’re ten hour days.

Stephen: Oh yeah you told me. That’s gnarly, you’re there all day.

LC: Kristin’s moving to LA too.

Stephen: Yeah her and Alex have a place in like Marina Dell Way.

LC: That’s what I thought. How are you guys?

Stephen: We’re chill. We’ve both been doing our own thing like obviously we’re still chill and like I talk to her every once and a while.

LC: So you’re still close?

Stephen: Yeah, yeah, we’ll always be close. Like obviously we will, like I don’t know. Like I never thought like senior year like one night we randomly just happen to kiss.

LC: It was all you.

Stephen: Hey you were holding the door open, just with a big sign, “Stephen! Come in!”

LC: No you were looking through my yearbook, to try to find a guy…

Stephen: I knew exactly what you were doing. That was a good pick up, I’ll give you that.

LC: No, actually that was the sweetest first kiss I’ve ever had.

Stephen: No that was cool. I think it was kinda always something I wanted to do. That’s probably why.

LC: Oh, Stephen.

Stephen: What do you think would have ever happened if me and you like full on like had a relationship that like lasted?

LC: I don’t know. I just could…(He laughs) So funny. (They leave.)

Stephen: It was so good. (They walk)

LC: I’m tired now.

Stephen: Good dinner, yeah?

LC: Very good dinner.

Stephen: Interesting topics on that one. (She laughs)

LC: We always do.

Stephen: Yeah we do get into some funny conversations. What a view, what a view.

LC: Is that the Bay Bridge?

Stephen: Yeah, it goes into that island right there and then there’s more.

LC: Yeah. That’s the one you take to get to the airport, right?

Stephen: Oakland, yeah. That’s where I picked you up. (Stephen looks at her)

CUT TO: The Next Day – The Wavehouse – San Diego

Morgan S: Holy crap!

Alex M: Oh I am so not going on that.

Morgan S: That’s a little spinet. 

Cedric: So good.

Taylor: I would never do that. No way. (Cedric tries to go on but his board slips)

Morgan S: Yeah, Ced!

Jessica: (Talan takes his shirt off to go on) Here comes Talan. (He gets on)

Morgan S: Talan’s doing better. (He slips)

Jessica: Oh my god.

Morgan S: No way.

Jessica: (Jeff gets on) Here comes Jeff, here comes Jeff, here comes Jeff. He’s so cute. (He slips and they laugh)

CUT TO: Laguna Beach – The Nail Co.

Alex H and Kristin are getting their nails done.

Kristin: Thank you.

Alex H: Are you sad cause you didn’t go to The Wave?

Kristin: Yeah. (They laugh) The Wavehouse. Obviously Jessica doesn’t surf so it’s not like she was amped on the whole surf thing.

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: But Alex is going so she can…

Alex H: Make up with Alex.

Kristin: Yeah and then she’ll hang out with Jeffrey. Do you think she’s mad that I kissed Jeff? Like it wasn’t…

Alex H: I don’t think she’s mad but I think she was probably kind of like “Damn…” She would have wanted to…

Kristin: It’s not like I like Jeff.

Alex H: Oh I know.

Kristin: You know? (They laugh) And she wouldn’t tell me if she was mad.

Alex H: No she wouldn’t. And she would act like she didn’t care when she really does.

Kristin: Yeah deep down she’d be like “Bitch”. I was just not thinking straight. (They laugh) And I happened to be sitting right there.

Alex H: Jessica’s the kind of girl that will do anything for a guy.

Kristin: That’s not good.

CUT TO: Wavehouse.

Jessica: I want Jeff so bad, Oh my god. It’s so obvious too, huh?

Taylor: I think he likes you. 

Alex M: He does you.

Jessica: Really, you think?

Morgan S: Oh she’s so happy.

Jessica: All of his friends are like “We know he likes you, he just won’t admit it, but we know he does”. And I was like…

Morgan S: Do Kristin and Alex still hook up with him?

Alex M: Were you pissed? Didn’t Kristin hook up with him?

Jessica: At her fiesta?

Taylor: Yeah.

Jessica: And it’s like Kristin too, who’s like twenty times prettier than me, twenty times like better than me so I’m like this sucks so bad.

Taylor: No Jessica, I sweat to God, it’s not true, trust me. You’re not only pretty on the outside, you’re gorgeous on the inside and that’s something that she’s lacking.

CUT TO: Laguna Beach – Nail Co.

Kristin: This is a little bit better than uh sitting with a bunch of people I don’t wanna be with.

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: Everyone’s like…(She makes yelling noises)

Alex H: I don’t even get why they wanna go on a fake wave.

Kristin: Uh…

Alex H: Didn’t Talan set it up for all of them to go?

Kristin: I guess.

CUT TO: Wavehouse

Jessica: I like don’t wanna call Kristin today and be like…

Jeff: Mad at her or something?

Jessica: I just know she’ll give me s**t for coming down here.

Jeff: Why?

Jessica: She’s Kristin.

Jeff: She’s an idiot. She should get out here. It’s so fun.

Taylor: Why would she give you s**t for having fun?

Jessica: It’s like she didn’t wanna go so it was kinda like assumed like all of us weren’t going and it’s like annoying.

Taylor: You would think that like how much she likes dislikes me you’d think I actually did something.

Jessica: Yeah.

Taylor: But like I’ve never done anything to her, ever.

Jessica: Yeah, no.

Taylor: I really never met someone who had so much fun hating me before.

Jessica: Yeah. (It goes to Jeff and Jessica walking on the beach)

Jeff: You surprised. I didn’t…I was sitting on the bus, I was like “There’s no way Jessica’s going on”.

Jessica: I told you I would go on. All the things you never thought I would do, I did. Like surfing.

Jeff: The one thing, the one thing. I don’t know. Yeah we still have to go surfing. We can cruise down, I’ll teach you how to surf.

Jessica: Will you teach me?

Jeff: We’ll tear it up, yeah. I don’t know.
