Previously on Laguna Beach…

Kristin: (V.O.) Mammoth was such a blast. But poor Jessica. She had no fun. She was still bummed about her breakup with Jason.

Jessica: I’m like the kind of person where I blame everything on myself.

Kristin: (V.O.) She kept trying to call him the whole time.

Kristin: Get off your cell phone!

Kristin: (V.O.) But no surprise. Jason had already moved on to Alex. What a player.

Casey: So you guys are going out boyfriend/girlfriend?

Kristin: (V.O.) Jessica had no idea, until she came home.

Kristin: Jason’s here. You’re nervous.

Kristin: (V.O.) And now she was gonna have to see them at the bonfire. At the same time, the two Alex’s were making up and trying to bring the cliques together.

Alex H: I think at this point, we can all finally just hang out.

Kristin: (V.O.) I just hope they didn’t expect me to be friends with Taylor.

CUT TO: A Restaurant.

Alex M and Alex H are meeting there.

Alex M: Hey Al.

Alex H: Hi.

Alex M: Hi. What’s going on?

Alex H: Nothing. How are you?

Alex M: Good.

Alex H: How’ve you been?

Alex M: Good. Good, good, good.

Alex H: Good. I do want to start hanging out though, like, more. If you want to.

Alex M: No I do. I never ever would’ve thought it’d be weird or awkward to talk to you, you know?

Alex H: I’m gonna start crying if I talk about it too much.

Alex M: It’s okay. Thanks for calling me. Now we just have to have Taylor and Kristin be like good.

Alex H: I don’t know if that’s gonna work.

Alex M: And then everyone can hang out. Have you talked to Jessica at all? 

Alex H: I haven’t talked to her in a little bit. Have you talked to her?

Alex M: She sent me a text message.

Alex H: What’d it say?

Alex M: She was like “So are you guys dating?” And I wrote “Yeah”. And then that was it.

Alex H: You just said “Yeah”?

Alex M: Yeah. I was like “Yeah we are”.

Opening Credits

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Kristin and Jessica are talking about the Jason/Alex M relationship.

Jessica: So I get back from Mammoth and I get to hear about Jason and Alex being together but…

Kristin: Have you talked to Alex?

Jessica: When I first found out, I was in class, and I was like “Great”.

Kristin: It was in class when you found out?

Jessica: Mm-hmm.

Kristin: Mm…

Jessica: Oh yeah.

Kristin: Who told you?

Jessica: Kendra.

Kristin: Mm.

Jessica: And she was like “Are you mad at Jason? Or are you over it?” I was like “Why would I be mad at Jason? About what?” And she’s like “About Alex”. And I was like “Okay what about Alex?” And so I sent her a text message just being like so frustrated. I was like  “I’d rather hear it from you then everybody else, like are you and Jason together?” “’Cause if you aren’t, then I don’t wanna get worked up over another Laguna rumor”.  You know? Like it’s stupid. She goes “Yeah we are”. And that’s it. And it sucks more ‘cause we don’t even like talk anymore.

Kristin: Who, you and Alex?

Jessica: No, me and Jason. Alex, I don’t care about Alex at all. Whatever, she’s dumb. (They laugh)

CUT TO: Gym

Alex M and Taylor are there, exercising on treadmills.

Alex M: I want this one.

Taylor: 30 minutes?

Alex M: 30? Yeah. Good.

Taylor: Looks like something bit you on your neck Al. What is that?

Alex M: I told Jason I hated hickeys and he latched on my neck and wouldn’t let go. I got really mad.

Taylor: So who’s gonna be at the bonfire?

Alex M: Kristin, Jessica. Do you think Jessica and Jason will talk?

Taylor: No.

Alex M: No. I don’t really care.

Taylor: They won’t I don’t think.

Alex M: I just don’t want to hurt Jessica’s feelings.

Taylor: It will just make it worse by being all over him in front of her.

Alex M: No I’m say I wouldn’t do that.

Taylor: I think that’s the right thing to do.

Alex M: It’s not right yet, you know?

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Kristin, Jessica, and Alex H are going to the bonfire.

Kristin: Are you guys excited?

Jessica: Oh I’m absolutely enthralled.

Alex H: I think it’s gonna be kinda fun.

Kristin: I can tell you’re excited Jess.

Alex H: We can make it fun if it’s not.

Kristin: We can make it fun.

Alex H: We can make it fun.

Kristin: We always make things fun.

Jessica: Oh yay. To the bonfire. (They get in the car)

CUT TO: The Beach

Everyone is gathering there for the bonfire.

Kristin: Oh there’s Talan. (Kristin and Jessica laugh)

Alex H: Oh god.

Kristin: (Casey shows up) She’s wearing high heels. I told you she would be. She’s a little slut.

Casey: Hi guys. (Jake and Cedric show up)

Alex H: Hi Jake.

Kristin: Hey Jakey.

Casey: Um, I got ‘em…

Alex H: Ooh look at our fire.

Kristin: Let’s roast marshmellers.

Alex H: Ooh okay.

Kristin: Okay.

Alex H: Ooh I’ll roast a wiener. 

Kristin: Ooh yeah. Ooh okay. But let’s do marshmallows first.

Casey: Jess, are you okay?

Talan: I know what you’re thinking. You feel awkward ‘cause Jason’s coming. You’re gonna cry, you’re gonna cry.

Jessica: I am?

Talan: You’re gonna squirt one. I can see it. Jessica…

Kristin: I want a wienie.

Talan: If you make it look like you’re sweating…

Alex H: Well I’m cooking too.

Talan: Then…

Jessica: Do I look like I’m bummed?

Kristin: Jess, do you want one?

Talan: Yeah you do.

Kristin: Yeah.  Move around.

Jessica: Okay all right fine. Bitches.

Alex H: I want a bun.

Talan: You look like…like…

Jessica: I’m having so much fun.

Talan: If they say “Oh my god, I know she’s having a bad time and she looks like she’s not”.

Kristin: Jess get bugs.

Jessica: Where are they? Right here.

Cedric: Your wieners are not black like mine.

Kristin: You’re right.

Talan: Whoa! That looks so disgusting. (Morgan S, Alex M, and Taylor show up)

Jessica: Oh wonderful.

All: Hi.

Morgan S: Some skewers for the wieners.

Kristin: Yeah.

Alex H: Somebody looks really tan.

Alex M: I look tan? Yes!

Alex H: Is Jason coming?

Alex M: I don’t know.

Jake: He’s at a baseball game right now but yes you do know.

Alex M: Okay. Yeah maybe.

Morgan S: Case. Are those new sunglasses?

Casey: Do you like them?

Morgan S: I like them. I almost got them.

Casey: I don’t think they look good on me.

Morgan S: I do.

Taylor: Why’d you buy ‘em?

Casey: I don’t know.

Alex M: Jessica I think we need to talk. (They move away from everyone to talk) Now that we’re finally can talk. You and me. Instead of you talking to everyone else but me.

Jessica: What am I supposed to say to you? I was never really mad.

Alex M: Oh yes you were.

Jessica: No, no, no, no.

Alex M: Oh yes you were.

Jessica: I was like extremely like bummed out because I guess I was really, really just surprised. I wasn’t like…I don’t get…it takes a lot to get me truly, truly mad.

Alex M: Out of respect…if you have respect for me…

Jessica: Talk to you.

Alex M: You should…yeah exactly.

Jessica: I know.

Alex M: I’m just saying that…it’s like…Jessica like…if Jason were to come here, well he is on his way here, but out of respect for you, I would never kiss him in front of you. Like even if it wasn’t you. If it was his ex-girlfriend who I have no idea who she was. (To Cedric) Oh pass it over here. (She misses it. She hugs Cedric.)

Cedric: Hey why are you going on walks with me?

Alex M: J. Wahl’s here.

Cedric: Where?

Alex M: Well he’s coming.

Taylor: Is he here?

Alex M: Yeah.

Jason: Dude we got so beat.

Kristin: Jason’s here?

Jessica: We’re just gonna have splendid fun, okay?

Kristin: You’re nervous.

Cedric: What was the score?

Jason: 8-0.

Cedric: 8-0? 8-0?

Jason: Hi hon.

Alex M: Hi babe. Finally. (Jason hugs Alex M)

Jason: Why are you being weird?

Alex M: I’m not weird. Where have you been?

Jason: I came straight here after I was done. I didn’t get a good chance…I threw clothes on, put water in my hair.

Alex M: I called your mom. She said otherwise. Come here. I’m kidding. (They hug again. They kiss. Jessica watches them.) What are you looking at?

Jason: What are you talking about?

Alex M: Since you’re laughing at me.

Jason: I’m not laughing at you.

Alex M: Then give me a hug and kiss me and say hi.

Jason: I am. (They hug and kiss. Jessica gets up) Let’s go. (Jason and Alex M walk)

CUT TO: The Next Day – Outside

Kristin, Jessica, and Alex H are walking on the street.

Kristin: Did you guys have fun last night?

Jessica: It wasn’t that bad but then seeing him walk up I was like…

Alex H: I had fun.

Kristin: I did too. Well it’s not like I had fun but it wasn’t like…

Jessica: Bad.

Kristin: No, no, no I think it was very necessary to have that because a lot of…

Jessica: Drama got solved?

Kristin: Yeah.

Alex H: It was like a little peace bonfire. Everyone like made up and hung out and had fun.

Kristin: I didn’t make up with anyone but I didn’t like have a fight with anyone. 

Alex H: Mm-hmm.

Kristin: Alex just wanted me to like make up with Taylor and whatever but like Taylor, I don’t not like her, I just don’t care for her you know? So you + Alex talked Jess. Like what happened?

Jessica: She’s like “I never intentionally wanted to hurt your feelings…” but blah, blah, blah. “I just assumed you were over it”. I was like “Well just like you assumed I was over it, I assumed you didn’t care”. So like…you know?

Kristin: Yeah.

Jessica: It’s the same thing. We both assumed.

Kristin: But like I’m over Stephen but like if one of you went out with Stephen I would like flip.

Jessica: I would never do that ever.

Kristin: Oh I know but…

Alex H: That’s like an un-written law. You don’t do that.

Jessica: Yeah.

CUT TO: Aliso Creek Inn and Golf Course

Talan, Cedric, and Jason are there, golfing.

Talan: Okay this is called the pimp juice. (He hits the ball)

Cedric: Dude oh my god that’s your first like good shot.

Talan: You see that shot right there?  Here. (Cedric hits the ball)

Jason: David Hasselhof.

Cedric: Yeah we’re doing a re-do on that one.

Jason: Should I call Jessica, to see what was up with her?

Cedric: No don’t do it J Wahl.

Talan: Are you dating Alex still? (Jason calls Jessica) He had mad facial hair dog.

Jason: Hey what are you doing?

Jessica: Uh nothing. What are you doing?

Jason: Oh you are? (Talan makes a noise)

Jessica: Why?

Jason: Well we’re just seeing if you wanted to chill.

Cedric: No.

Talan: What? Really?

Cedric: What?

Talan: Bail.

Cedric: Yeah bail dude.

Jason: Yeah cruise over here.

Cedric: No J Wahl no. Are you serious?

Jason: Okay.

Cedric: All right I’m leaving. I swear to God.

Talan: Why’s Jessica coming here?

Jason: I just have to talk to her real quick.

Talan: Is she coming solo?

Jason: Yeah.

Cedric: Did you guys see that shot? I got skills now.

Jason: Why are you so mad that she’s coming?

Cedric: Basically I never liked Jessica that much.

Jason: Stupid Cedric.

Cedric: (They leave) Nice little round of golf.

CUT TO: Car

Alex H is driving when Alex M calls her.

Alex H: Hello?

Alex M: Hey Al.

Alex H: Hi Al.

Alex M: What’s going on?

Alex H: Um, nothing much. What are you doing?

Alex M: I was just wondering, do you wanna go to dinner maybe? Yeah, dinner like you, me, Kristin, and Alex. I mean you, me, Kristin, and Taylor.

Alex H: Yeah I think that’d be fun.

Alex M: Do you think Kristin’s gonna wanna go?

Alex H: Yeah I’ll have to ask Kristin, what’s up with that whole deal, whatever, but I’m sure it’ll be fine. I mean, I think at this point we can all finally just hang out so…I’ll call you later on today.

Alex M: Okay.

Alex H: All right.

Alex M: Bye bye Al.

Alex H: Bye.

CUT TO: Canyon Lodge American Grill

Jason and Jessica are there talking.

Jessica: Hi man.

Jason: What’s up?

Jessica: Nothing. How was golfing?

Jason: It was all right. So tiring. (Jessica laughs) Geez.

Jessica: I have a question for you.

Jason: Yeah.

Jessica: Did you tell Alex that I was talking s**t about her? Don’t lie to me, right now don’t lie. Don’t lie. What did you say I said?

Jason: I swear to God I never said that.

Jessica: Don’t lie.

Jason: Oh here let me call her real quick and I’ll ask her.

Jessica: Oh from my phone that would be good, no.

Jason: I’ll block the call.

Jessica: No.

Jason: What’d she say I said?

Jessica: Nothing she was just like “You sit there and talk s**t about me to Jason” I’m like…

Jason: I don’t know what she’s talking about.

Jessica: I hate our town sometimes.

Jason: What are you gonna do the rest of the day?

Jessica: I don’t know. Wanna hang out?

Jason: Yeah. Let’s go to the beach.

Jessica: Okay.

Jason: Let’s go. (They get up and leave)

CUT TO: That night – Alex M.’s House

Her and Taylor are getting to go to dinner with Alex H and Kristin.

Taylor: I’m sorta nervous.

Alex M: Why are you nervous?

Taylor: I don’t know because you and Al are fine and…

Alex M: Well what do you think I’m just gonna be like clinged to Alex?

Taylor: Like I just don’t know at the beginning, are we like “Hey!”

Alex M: Yeah.

Taylor: I hope that they’re sitting down when we walk in.

Alex M: Well who knows if we’ll get there first.

Taylor: No but if we’re there first do we just get up?

Alex M: No.

Taylor: See I’m over analyzing this. This is not that big a deal.

Alex M: This isn’t met to be a disaster you know what I mean?

Taylor: I’m happy we’re doing this before Cabo too.

Alex M: Oh yeah.

CUT TO: Restaurant

Alex M and Taylor sit down at a table, waiting for Kristin and Alex H.

Taylor: Oh this is nice and close to each other.

Alex M: Yeah.

Taylor: I don’t like sitting here and waiting. I wanna go home. (It shows Kristin and Alex H walk. They talk and laugh. They come to the table) Hi guys.

Alex H: Hi.

Alex M: Hi.

Kristin: Have you guys been here a long time?

Alex M: Yeah.

Kristin: You have been?

Taylor: That’s all right though.

Kristin: Sorry.

Alex M: No, no it’s fine. We thought we were late.

Taylor: What’s on your earrings? Oh they’re just red. They looked like little Mickey Mouse’s at first.

Kristin: You know Alex. (Kristin and Alex H laugh. They look at the menu.)

Alex M: So…(She laughs)

Taylor: What are you guys doing next year?

Kristin: Next year I’m going to USC and she’s going to Santa Monica City. You’re going to Arizona?

Taylor: Uh huh.

Kristin: Are you excited?

Taylor: I’m so excited. (Alex M.’s cell phone rings)

Alex M: Yeah. I’m in the middle of dinner right now. No, no tell me right now. Will you text message me? Okay. Bye.

Taylor: What’d she say?

Alex M: Something about Jason.

Taylor: She wouldn’t tell you?

Alex M: She’s like “I can’t say it right now”. (Her phone makes a sound) Oh. Oh. Oh wow.

Taylor: What did she just tell you?

Alex M: That Jason and Jessica were next to each other and he was like kissing her on the cheek and stuff. (Kristin gets a shocked look on her face.)

Alex H: Oh my god. She’s a f***ing idiot.

Alex M: What a dumb little…what the hell…how conniving…how conniving is that like? (Kristin nods) Wait ‘til she gets the wrath of Alex.  

CUT TO: Store

Taylor and Alex M are shopping.

Alex M: Let’s see what this store has in store for us.

Taylor: So what exactly happened with Jessica and Jason?

Alex M: Well supposedly I guess Jessica and Jason like walked off by themselves and they hooked up.

Taylor: How do you know that for sure?

Alex M: Because Cami walked in on them. Cami and like two other people.

Taylor: He admitted it to you.

Alex M: He admitted it to me. Yeah he was like “Yeah she like pretty much she took advantage of me”.

Taylor: Yeah but still, it takes two.

Alex M: And I was like “Did you guys kiss?” He was said “Yeah”.

Taylor: You don’t need someone like that.

Alex M: He said the only reason he calls her is because he’s trying to like to get me jealous. I hope Jessica doesn’t hit me on the wrong night in Cabo. It would not be good. I’m gonna call him, to see what’s going on. But I’ll call you for sure afterwards.

Taylor: Okay.

CUT TO: Jason

Alex M calls him. It shows them both as they talk.

Jason: Hello?

Alex M: We need to talk Jason. Can you come meet me right now?

Jason: Yeah.

Alex M: Um…I’m down by Thalia.

Jason: All right I’ll be there in like fifteen minutes.

Alex M: Okay. 

Jason: All right bye.

Alex M: K, bye. (They hang up. Alex M walks to meet him)

CUT TO: Store

Kristin, Alex H, and Jessica are there.

Jessica: Thank you very much.

Kristin: Hey Jess. What happened yesterday with Jason?

Jessica: Nothing.

Kristin: Weren’t you like…didn’t you like go off with him and like in a room and stuff?

Jessica: No.

Kristin: You were never alone with him?

Jessica: Not in a room, ever. We were outside.

Kristin: Were you ever alone with him?

Jessica: For about two minutes until Cedric walked outside.

Kristin: Was he kissing you?

Jessica: No! We didn’t touch, we didn’t kiss. Alex is not my favorite person but I wouldn’t do that to her. Like I wouldn’t. I just…I can’t…I…

Kristin: Seriously, put yourself in her position. Not only do I not like you hanging out with Jason because of Alex or whatever, but he like…you shouldn’t be hanging out with Jason. All he does is hurt you.

Jessica: I know. I know. I know. And we’re not like…it’s not like…

Kristin: Don’t even talk to him. Why would you want to talk to someone who did that to you Jess?

Jessica: Because it wasn’t like…I don’t know. I don’t know.

Kristin: You shouldn’t want to Jess. All he does is hurt you. No I’m serious.

Jessica: I know. I can tell you’re serious.

Kristin: Well you should just be like “F**k you Jason” and not talk to him. Seriously.

Jessica: All right.

Kristin: Okay. (They leave the store.)

CUT TO: The Beach

Jason and Alex M are there talking.

Jason: How you doin’?

Alex M: What’s goin’ on?

Jason: Not much.

Alex M: So…

Jason: I don’t know. What did you want to talk about?

Alex M: What do you think I want to talk about Jason? I want to talk about you and me.

Jason: Okay well what do you want to talk about?

Alex M: What happened? Why would you do that with Jessica?

Jason: I wasn’t thinking. I don’t know why I did that.

Alex M; It doesn’t even seem like you even like me.

Jason: You know I do.

Alex M: Then why would you wanna hook up with another girl?

Jason: It was a mistake. I mean, I told you I’m sorry.

Alex M: Do you like me?

Jason: Yeah.

Alex M: Do you wanna be with me?

Jason: I don’t know.

Alex M: Honestly?

Jason: Yeah and no. (Alex M looks like she’s gonna cry.)

Alex M: I just can’t really trust you. I don’t know. We should just all go to Cabo, you go to Costa Rica, and we’ll talk when you get back. (He nods. Alex M leaves. It shows Jason standing there alone.)
