Kristin: (At her birthday party) I haven’t seen you in a long time Talan.

Kristin: (V.O.) I realized that being single my senior year wasn’t much fun. So I started hooking up with Talan again. You know friends with benefits.

Kristin: Are you dating Taylor? (Talan shakes his head)

Taylor: You’d be with Kristin?

Talan: Yeah that’s ‘cause I couldn’t get anyone else.

Kristin: (V.O.) Of course Taylor through a fit when she found out.

Taylor: K then go be with a whore.

Kristin: (V.O.) I guess it worked. Talan went running back to her.

Jason: Just the way you’re acting.

Jessica: How am I acting?

Kristin: And Jessica and Jason were now fighting all the time. What a trainwreck.

Alex M: Hi Jason.

Jason: What’s up Alex?

Kristin: (V.O.) And it didn’t help that Alex was totally hitting on him.

Jason: You got something to ask me? (Alex M looks at him)

Alex M: (Asking Jason to Formal) Woo!

Kristin: (V.O.) She even asked him to Winter Formal. (They hug) Well technically she had asked him before he started dating Jessica.

Alex M: I just wanna hang out with you like afterwards or something.

Kristin: (V.O.) But she was really into our tradition where the girl asks the guy. A little too into it if you ask me.

Goes to a house

Alex M and Taylor are planning out how to ask Talan and Jason to Winter Formal.

Alex M: Okay second clue. Two black fish and then the rest gold fish.

Taylor: Yeah out of all the fish in the sea…

Alex M: Where are we gonna put the fish bowl?

Taylor: Remember we got the surfers’ bench where everyone goes and looks out.

Alex M: Oh yeah. Okay.

Taylor: And then the beach. So we have to figure out what we’re doing at the beach.

Alex M: We can take like ribbon or something weigh it down with rocks + do “Will you go to the Formal with me?”  

Taylor: With bouquets of flowers?

Alex M: No I can’t do that with Jason. Everyone thinks that it’s like I asked Jessica’s boyfriend to Formal.

Taylor: But they weren’t even together when you asked him.

Alex M: Exactly. It’s so annoying but I’m excited. I’m so excited. (She claps) I’m so excited.

Opening Credits

CUT TO: Surf and Sport

Kristin is setting up how to ask her friend Ian.

Kristin: Winter formal is so stressful because the girls have to ask the guys.

Alex H: That’s been a tradition forever.

Kristin: So I was thinking to put the sign like hang it right there. And that just put like streamers like all over the place like whatever.

Alex H: Are you gonna hang the sign?

Kristin: Yeah. (She starts to write “Winter Formal?” on a sign)

Alex H: And then are you gonna stand below it?

Kristin: Yeah. Do you know that Ian was my first friend in Laguna?

Alex H: Yeah.

Kristin: He was my first friend in Laguna.

Alex H: Ian is always like the kind of guy that you’ll always be like really good friends with.

Kristin: Yeah. Ian’s a good guy. (She gets up and puts the sign up) Like right here?

Alex H: Yeah and then you’re gonna stand there or just like…he’s gonna see it?

Kristin: I guess I’m gonna be right here and be like “Yeah!” (They laugh) Oh okay. Streamers it is.

CUT TO: Car

Alex M and Taylor are in the car getting ready to call Talan and Jason to start their scavenger hunt to ask them to Formal.

Taylor: I think the way that we’re asking them is so cute. It’s like a scavenger hunt.

Alex M: We should just park like…?

Taylor: Should I say go to your car?

Alex M: Say there’s a little surprise on your car. (Taylor calls Talan)

Talan: Hi.

Taylor: Hi. Go outside. I left you a surprise.

Talan: Are you serious?

Taylor: Yeah, go out to your car. Okay? Have fun, bye! (She hangs up)

Talan: No way.

Taylor: He was like “Oh my god! Are you serious?” (Talan and Jason go to the car)

Talan: Did you get asked here by Alex?

Jason: Yeah she called me. (Talan takes something off the door)

Talan: Follow the clues, one by one…It may be confusing, but kind of fun…You must pop the balloons to see what the first clue will say. What? How did she think of that? (Goes to the beach where Alex M and Taylor are setting up the fishbowl)

Alex M: The things we do for these boys. (They think the balloon will fly away so Alex M gasps)

Taylor: Talan and Jason better love this.

Alex M: Next. (They leave. Goes to Kristin  and Alex H putting the streamers up)

Kristin: Stephen always asked me in a really cute way.

Alex H: Yeah what Stephen did was really cute.

Guy: (He comes downstairs) He’s here.

Kristin: Okay like two minutes. (Goes to Jason and Talan where the balloon is)

Jason: All right what does this thing say?

Talan: Out of all the fish in the sea…I told you. (Goes to Alex M + Taylor bringing cardboard down to the water)

Taylor: But really the balloons are fly away.

Alex M: I feel like the poster’s gonna fall out of my arm (Taylor lets go of her end of it. Goes to Talan and Jason in a car)

Talan: Look at the banner. Turn around and go to Treasure Island. Everyone like turns around and goes to Treasure Island.

CUT TO: Surf and Sport

Guy: Hey Ian bring up a size 62 okay? (Ian goes downstairs and sees Kristin)

Ian: No way.

Kristin: Ian will you go to Winter Formal with me?

Ian: Yes. (They hug)

CUT TO: Beach

Alex M and Taylor are hiding in boxes waiting for Talan and Jason

Alex M: Taylor?

Taylor: What?

Alex M: Are they there?

Taylor: I don’t see them.

Talan: (They are walking down) Do you kiss them on the cheek?…or do you give them a hug?

Jason: I can’t do anything because of Jessica.

Talan: No, I know, you can give them a hug and a kiss on the cheek. That’s fine.

Alex M: They’re here! They’re here! Yay! (They go up to the boxes)

Talan: Dude which box?

Jason: They have our names on them.

Talan: My box is laughing (They open the boxes.)

Alex M: Woo! (Talan hugs Taylor)

Jason: Come here.  (Jason hugs Alex M. Talan gets Taylor out of the box)

Taylor: Was that a yes? (Alex M hugs Jason)

Alex M: Did you like our little scavenger hunt?

Jason: Oh my god.

Talan: This is the best asking ever.

Alex M: Jason I know that it sucks like now that you have to go with me + you have a girlfriend. It sucks.

Jason: No it’s fine.

Alex M: No I just like I’m not like you can take pictures with Jessica + stuff like just…

Jason: Well no.

Alex M: (She hits him) Don’t be an ass h**e about it!

Jason: I was just saying like that.

Alex M: I just wanna like hang out with you like afterwards or something.

Jason: Yeah.

Alex M: Yeah Jason and Alex. No I’m just kidding.

Taylor: So you excited for Winter Formal?

Talan: Yeah. I hope everyone just has a good time, there’s no drama.

Taylor: Drama.

Talan: There won’t be any drama. Unless the girls bring it upon, you know.

Taylor: I’m not gonna bring it upon anybody. (They laugh) I’m not.

Talan: Yeah.

Alex M: Anyways, so I’m happy you liked our surprise it took us a long time to do.

Jason: It was cool.

Alex M: Yeah.

CUT TO: Jessica’s House

Everyone is outside

Jessica: All right so does everybody know the final limo list for Winter Formal?

Alex H: Oh my god.

Jessica: The five of us.

Kristin: You’re gonna name the whole list right now?

Jessica: Yeah.

Emily: Please don’t. I don’t wanna listen.

Kristin: That’s like 44 people.

Alex H: I was thinking of the limo.

Kristin: I’m excited I’m going with Ian.

Alex H: I’m excited I’m going with Jeff. It’ll be a fun thing.

Jessica: I’m excited I’m going with Jake.

Emily: You’re gonna have so much fun at Winter Formal. I can’t even explain how much fun you’re gonna have.

Kristin: Why can’t I have fun?

Jessica: I’m not gonna have f**king fun Kristin that’s the point.

Kristin: Oh. Thought you were being serious.

Jessica: No I’m gonna say like “Alex he’s your date you have to take care of him”. (They laugh)

Alex H: Oh my god.

Kristin: What? It is her date. I’d be pissed if my boyfriend was gonna with someone else. Um, Alex and I are getting hair extensions for Winter Formal.

Emily: Don’t let them look like Casey.

Jessica: Were you there when Taylor was talking about getting her hair extensions? She’s so amped to look like Casey it’s unbelievable.

CUT TO: Hair Salon

Taylor is getting hair extensions for Winter Formal.

Woman: Hi.

Taylor: Hi. I’m here for Andrea.

Woman: All right.

Taylor: Okay. I’m so excited. Okay. Thank you. (She sits down and so does Alex M who is there with her) This is my friend Alex.

Andrea: Hi.

Taylor: This is Alex.

Alex M: Nice to meet you.

CUT TO: Another Salon

Alex H and Kristin are going to get their hair extensions.

Alex H: Hi.

Kristin: Hi.

Cindy: Kristin and Alex.

Woman: Alex hi.

Cindy: Are you excited about this?

Kristin: Yeah.

Cindy: You’re gonna love this.

Kristin: Oh I’m excited.

Alex H: (Being shown the extensions) Ooh! Okay.

Cindy: So are you excited about your Formal?

Kristin: Yeah.

Cindy: Who are you gonna go with?

Kristin: I’m just going with a friend, Ian.

Cindy: Yeah.

Alex H: Kristin do you know if Taylor got hers on yet?

Kristin: I don’t know.

CUT TO: Taylor at the hair salon

She is getting her extensions on.

Taylor: Remember Kristin Andrea?

Andrea: Uh huh.

Taylor: She’s getting extensions today too.

Andrea: Shut up.

Taylor: Oh yeah.

Andrea: Yours will be so much better.

Taylor: Whatever.

Andrea: You’re cutier.

CUT TO: Kristin and Alex H at hair salon

They are getting their extensions on still.

Alex H: It’s gonna be so weird to see you with long hair.

Kristin: Yeah I know.

Alex H: ‘Cause your hair’s so short.

Kristin: It’s so funny because I was telling Casey I was getting my hair extensions and she’s like “You need to get the individuals, they’re better”. And I was like “Like yours?”

Cindy: I do individuals too.

Kristin: No, no, no. This girl has individual ones and they look like s**t. And I was like “Um…no.” (She laughs)

CUT TO: Nail Salon

Kristin, Alex H, and Jessica are getting their nails done.

Jessica: Get acrylics so that I don’t have to the only one.

Alex H: But I don’t want to be like I have fake hair so I have fake long nails.

Kristin: I’m not.

Jessica: You’re not?

Kristin: I don’t want to look like a fake bimbo.

Woman: Welcome to Beautiful Nails. You guys are all having manicures pedicures?

Kristin, Alex H and Jessica: Yes.

Woman: Okay.

Jessica: (Points to her and Alex H) We’re getting acrylics though.

CUT TO: Street

Alex M, Casey, and Taylor are walking to the same nail salon.

Alex M:  (Clapping and singing Gwen Stefani’s “Holla Back Girl”) My s**t is bananas.

Casey: Are you guys getting acrylics?

Alex M: Yeah.

Casey: Yeah me too.

Alex M: Your nails are pretty healthy for having acrylics on. You always have acrylics on.

Casey: I know. I hate it. I feel like a boy when I don’t.

CUT TO: Nail Salon

Jessica: Where’s my stupid boyfriend? God!

Alex H: What?

Jessica: He was supposed to come over this morning because he told me he had to go home at 10:00 last night.

Kristin: That was bull s**t.

Jessica: I know. Complete bull s**t. I’m like “Don’t lie to me like I don’t care like where you’re going just don’t to lie to me. You know?

Alex H: Right.

Jessica: So does he come over? Of course he doesn’t come over. Duh, it’s Jason you know? So then I call his house phone this morning just to be like you know like “What are you doing, but we’ll hang out afterwards, whatever”. Do you think he answer his house phone? No he doesn’t. (It shows Alex M, Casey, + Taylor walking outside)

Alex M: My s**t is bananas.

Casey & Alex M: Bananas.

Kristin: I honestly don’t know what you’re doing.

Jessica: I don’t either. God!

Kristin: It’s so obvious he’s cheating on you. (Alex M, Casey, and Taylor come in. Kristin, Alex H, and Jessica aren’t happy)

Alex M: Is this it? Hi! What’s going on?

Alex H: Funny.

Casey: Hi. Let me see your extensions. Are they really long?

Kristin: Yeah. Well they’re up to right here.

Taylor: Oh my god. Ours are like exactly the same.

Alex M: I’m excited to go with Jason ‘cause I think he’s really fun. Like to go out with anyway. (It shows Kristin’s shocked face, which looks really funny) He’s really fun.

Taylor: Are you getting French on your toes?

Alex M: Mm-hmm.

Taylor: Me too.

Alex M: This s**t is bananas. Bananas.

CUT TO: Kristin’s House – Day of Winter Formal

Kristin: (Looking at a paper) Lifestyles of the rich and famous. Oh if that’s even our theme. Where’s your crown? Put your crown on. Here, it’s right here. (She puts it on and takes it off. Then it shows everyone getting ready)

CUT TO: Morgan S.’s House

Alex M, Morgan S, and Taylor are getting ready.

Morgan S.’s Mom: Do you guys have boyfriends?

Taylor: No.

Morgan S.’s Mom: Who are you going with?

Alex M: This guy Jason but he has a girlfriend.

Morgan S.’s Mom: Why isn’t he going with his girlfriend?

Alex M: Because I asked him before they started dating.

CUT TO: Talan’s House

The guys are getting ready.

Cedric: I like white. You know I’m big dude.

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Alex H: Hey if you laugh I’m gonna burn your head. I’ll give you a curling iron hickey. And then you can like “Ooh look Jason I kissed a boy”. (They laugh)

CUT TO: Morgan S.’s House

Alex M: And now Jessica’s like “Well I didn’t know we were taking pictures”. She doesn’t wanna take pictures with him. Well I’m fine with taking pictures with Jason.

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

They’re getting into the limo.

Alex H: Ooh, let’s get this party started.

Kristin: Hi.

Alex H: Hi.

Kristin: Alex, moonroof baby.

Alex H: What? (They look out through the roof)

Kristin: What up? (The limo moves and they laugh) Whoa! (Inside, people take pictures) Yeah! Woo! Ow! (It shows the guys show up)

Cedric: Girlfriends in the damn limo already. So much drama now.

Talan: Yeah.

Girl: My date’s here.

Alex H: That means my date’s here.

Kristin: No mine’s not.

Jessica: Mine’s probably not.

Alex H: Oh here comes boys.

Kristin: What up boys?

Jessica: Where’s Jason?

Cedric: He left with Alex.

Jessica: Good, I don’t want to see him. I’m pissed.

Alex H: Let’s go, let’s go.

CUT TO: Jake’s House

Jessica: Like right there? Right there? Do I put it right there?

Jake: Yeah.

Ian: We’re gonna have a good time.

Kristin: We’re gonna have so much fun. (Shows Talan and Taylor together)

Casey: Got it.

Jessica: Last night he told me his parents wanted him home at 10 when he went over to Cedric’s house and spent the night at Cedric’s. If he’s gonna lie to me over something like that, what else is he lying to me about you know? It just pisses me off.

Jason: (He shows up and Jessica looks at him) Big Ced! Come on now.

Cedric: Let’s go take a picture. Here comes your girlfriend. Run!

Jason: (He pretends to run from Jessica) I’m just kidding. What’s up? (He hugs Jessica) Are you being mean now?

Jessica: I’m not being mean Jason, I’m just pissed that you lied to me last night.

Jason: I didn’t lie to you.

Jessica: Really? You didn’t lie to me? Then what did you have to do last night?

Jason: I went home. And then I went to Cedric’s.

Jessica: You liar. (Alex M watches them.) And I wouldn’t care. Just tell me, don’t lie to me.

Jason: Don’t get mad.

Jessica:  I’m not getting mad Jason. I don’t wanna like get mad but like it really bothers me when you lie to me about something so stupid.

Jason: can you fix my flower?

Jessica: Fix it? Am I not allowed to be mad at you for sitting there + lying to my face?

Jason: You are being difficult the whole night.

Jessica: How was I being difficult? And you know that I wouldn’t care, if you’re gonna lie to me about something as stupid as going to Cedric’s house what else have you lied to me about? (He tries to shh her. He does something to her and she gets mad)

Jason: Come on, let’s go this way.

Jessica: Why?

Jason: Fine, don’t chill.

Jessica: I’m coming. (To someone) I’ll be right back. (She goes to leave but sees Jason left.)

Alex M: You and Jessica are fighting…

Jason: She gets mad over the stupidest things. Come on let’s go somewhere good. (They pose for a picture.) Come on Murz. Let’s go. (They leave. Jessica watches them go. It shows them outside. Then the limo as they arrive at the location for Formal.)

CUT TO: Winter Formal

Everyone arrives and goes inside. Cedric videotapes everyone dancing. It shows Alex M and Jason dancing. Then Kristin dancing with Ian. Then Casey dancing. Then Jason and Alex M again. Then Jessica outside alone looking sad. It goes to Kristin and Alex H outside. They run to the limo. It shows everyone leaving.

Alex M: The drive thru.

Taylor: Try to walk through.

Kristin: I can’t believe Jessica’s waiting for Jason. (They get in the limo) I’m changing. I hope y’all don’t mind some nudity!

Alex H: I have nothing to change into. (The limo leaves. Jason goes over to Jessica)

Jason: I love you.

Jessica: I’m sick of this. I’m sick of it all.

Jason: Okay. I won’t talk to you. (He walks away. Goes to the limo)

Kristin: All I wanted to do was put on jeans. (Alex H starts making out with Jeff) Jeans, shirts. And you know what we should do? Drive it y’all. Looks like we’ve got a love nest over here. I didn’t kiss anybody tonight.

Taylor: (Goes to their limo at the drive thru) Two diet cokes and then a number eight. Alex!

Alex M: You guys can not walk through. They will not give you the food.

Taylor: The limo won’t fit in the drive thru.

Alex M: Tay, I think it’s time to go. I think those people are mad at us.

Taylor: Alex don’t leave me alone.

Alex M: There are some weird people. (Goes to Kristin and Alex H’s limo)

Alex H: That was a fun winter formal.

Kristin: Cheers to the last winter formal.

Alex H: One more dance together my darling.

CUT TO: A limo – 3:15 AM

Jessica and Jason are in there, fighting.

Jessica: Jason wake up. (She hits him) Wake up. Yeah wake up. Are you sleeping over at my house?

Jason: Later I’ll be at my house.

Jessica: Come here stop. Are you sleeping at my house?

Jason: Just talk to me normally.

Jessica: I am. Are you sleeping at my house or not?

Jason: Yes. I don’t wanna talk about it.

Jessica: Talk about what?

Jason: About the f**king situation.

Jessica: What’s the situation Jason?

Jason: Get over it, drop it.

Jessica: Can you tell me what the situation?

Jason: No drop it.

Jessica: Why can you not tell me the situation?

Jason: ‘Cause I don’t want to f**king talk about it.

Jessica: Why not?

Jason: ‘Cause I said so.

Jessica: So? I don’t care.

Jason: You’re so…

Jessica: I’m so what?

Jason: You’re annoying.

Jessica: Why am I annoying?

Jason: ‘Cause you ask too many f**king question.

Jessica: Oh I’m sorry. Am I not allowed to ask questions?

Jason: Yes…(He gets up)

Jessica: Stop! Jason stop.

Jason: I’m so sick of your s**t.

Jason: Yes.

Jason: You.

Jason: Shut up.

Jessica: Repeat what you just said.

Jason: Get over yourself.

Jessica: Oh me get over myself?

Jason: Where’s my jacket?

Jessica: I don’t have it.

Jason: You were the one that was wearing it.

Jessica: Well I don’t have it Jason.

Jason: I’m so f**king sick of this. (He gets out of the limo)

CUT TO: The Next Morning – Kristin’s House

Her and Alex H are sitting in bed talking.

Kristin: I wanted to kiss somebody but there was nobody. Did you have fun with Jeffrey?

Alex H: Yeah he was a fun date. I really wasn’t even trying to like make out with him, it was like “All right you’re a guy, I’m a girl…” (They laugh) Was there any difference from the dance last night and how it was like previously ones with Stephen?

Kristin: I don’t know if it’s Stephen that I miss or just like the comfort of like having a boyfriend and like that whole...

Alex H: Well if you miss Stephen it’s only natural like you were guys were together for like two and a half years or whatever.

Kristin: Yeah.

Alex H: So of course you’re gonna miss him. But you probably also miss the fact of having like a guy there like having a boyfriend.

Kristin: I really want Jessica to break up with Jason.

Alex H: But she won’t. She likes him way too much to do that to herself.

Kristin: He treats her like s**t.

Alex H: I know.

Kristin: But I think she lets him.

Alex H: Yeah like…like yesterday at the manicure salon, she’s like “I’m so mad at him…I’m not going call him”. But then like when he calls her, it gets down to it she gets mad for like a second and then she’s like “It’s okay”. ‘Cause she’s too scared she’s gonna like lose him.

Kristin: I don’t know.

Alex H: Whatever.

CUT TO: Outside

Taylor and Alex M are walking to the beach.

Alex M: Last night was interesting.

Taylor: It was fun though.

Alex M: Oh my god. I think it’s gonna rain.

Taylor: You have a hood. (Alex M put her hood up) Oh my god look at the tide.

Alex M: I’ve never seen it like this before.

Taylor: It’s so pretty. So last night was successful.

Alex M: Talan was nice.

Taylor: Yeah he was. It was fun.

Alex M: Did you see what Jason was doing to me last night?

Taylor: What?

Alex M: He tries dancing with me and he gets really close and I just feel weird dancing with him because it’s like Jessica’s boyfriend.

Taylor: Jessica like she goes from Dieter who was obsessed with her + that pushed her away and Jason who like does not give a s**t and for some reason that pulls her in. I don’t know what it’s gonna take for her to click.

Alex M: She kinda alienated herself.

Taylor: It’s her fault.

CUT TO: Jason

He is outside playing cards with Cedric.

Cedric: So you kinda pissed Jessica off.

Jason: Yeah I guess. She’s weird like that you know?

Cedric: Jessica’s a whiner. She pisses people off easily. And she’s all drama.

Jason: Yeah totally.

Cedric: Alex is different. She’s like one of the coolest girls I know. She’s really easy to get along with too.

Jason: She’s a lot more fun to be with. She’s really outgoing. She’s seriously one of a kind. She’s really…she’s really cool.

Cedric: So do you like her? You obviously like her. Do you really like her?

Jason: Yeah. Poor Jessica. I mean…

CUT TO: Jessica’s House

It shows her looking outside on her porch. Before going outside, she picks her cat, pets it, kisses it and goes inside.
