Kristin: (V.O.) (Shows Alex M and Jason at Morgan S.’s House) I tried to warn Jessica about Jason.

Kristin: Jason has cheated on you.

Jessica: Wait how do you know?

Kristin: (V.O.) (Shows Jessica and Jason) But she was so in love. (Shows Talan and Taylor at the beach) Speaking of love, after years of having a crush on Taylor, Talan was finally about to make his move. (Shows Lo’s Christmas party) As for me, my college boyfriend and I were dunzo (Shows them in the limo then at the bowling alley) so I was gonna make sure that there were plenty of boys at my birthday party. (Shows Lo and LC) But I wasn’t the only one celebrating a birthday.

Lo: Hi baby.

Kristin: (V.O.) LC was planning a little trip to Mexico.

Lo: Wait I have a question. What is up with Stephen?

Kristin: (V.O.) (Shows Stephen and LC) Hmm, wonder what she was wishing for.

CUT TO: LC’s House

LC’s Mom: Hey.

LC: Hi.

Kaitlin: Hello.

LC’s Mom: What are your plans again this weekend?

LC: Uh, we’re leaving right now.

LC’s Mom: And where are you staying?

LC: At the Rosarita Beach Hotel.

LC’s Mom: Okay.  

LC: It’s not like a sketchy place.

LC’s Mom: So who all is going?

LC: It’s us, Stephen, and Dieter.

LC’s Mom: The four of you?

LC: Mm-hmm.

LC’s Mom: Are you all staying in the same room?

LC: We…actually no we rented two rooms.

LC’s Mom: Oh. Boy room, girl room?

Kaitlyn: Uh huh.

LC: We don’t want boys. They have cooties.

LC’s Mom: Okay. Will you just call and check in with me on your way home?

LC: I’ll check in with you tomorrow morning.

LC’s Mom: So I know you made it through the night. Not like Marissa from The OC incident.

LC: Yeah.

LC’s Mom: Not laying in a gutter somewhere. (They laugh)

Opening Credits

CUT TO: Shop

Kristin, Alex H, and Jessica are shopping.

Alex H: Was it something I did?

Kristin: No.

Alex H: Oh.

Kristin: Oh my god, I just can’t believe I’m 18 you guys.

Alex H: I know. Isn’t it crazy?

Kristin: Yeah. I’m really, really happy though.

Jessica: I know.

Kristin: So what else do you guys have up your sleeves?

Alex H: Don’t worry about it.

Jessica: We’re gonna…

Alex H: I’m really scared Jessica’s gonna give it away.

Kristin: Jessica’s not very good at keeping secrets.

Jessica: Yes I am.

Alex H: I know. That’s why I’m scared she’s gonna give it away.

Kristin: Okay I think it’s gonna be some dinner thing. That’s what I’m guessing just because that’s so…that’s what everyone does.

Alex H: Well we’re not like everyone else so you’re wrong. (Kristin laughs) Is there anyone that like you wouldn’t want like to be there? Just like a little get together, who would you wanna see?

Kristin: So there’s not gonna be a lot of people there?

Alex H: Oh my god.

Jessica: Okay, who would you not wanna be there?

Kristin: The only person that might be kinda weird is Taylor. Why, is she gonna be there?

Alex H: I don’t know. (Kristin laughs) I don’t know.

CUT TO: Taylor’s House

She is looking for clothes to wear when her mom comes in her room.

Karen: Hey Tay.

Taylor: Hi Mom.

Karen: What are you doing?

Taylor: Picking out clothes to wear tonight, to dinner with Talan.

Karen: You’re going to dinner with Talan?

Taylor: Mom, why is that a big deal?

Karen: Because you’ve never been out to dinner alone with another boy besides Tyler.

Taylor: He’s a nice guy.

Karen: I know. You and Talan have been friends for a really long time.

Taylor: I know, it’s been like forever.

Karen: Since what, sixth grade?

Taylor: Yeah. (Holds up a top) Do you think this is too nice?

Karen: For tonight? Where are you guys going?

Taylor: To a little Caribbean like restaurant.

Karen: Oh I think that’s very appropriate. Do you think he’ll try to kiss you? (Taylor doesn’t answer. She just looks at her mom.)

CUT TO: Highway

LC, Stephen, Dieter, and Kaitlyn are driving to Mexico.

LC: Okay well I’m gonna go. We’re gonna cross the border in a little bit + my cell phone’s not gonna work. Okay. I love you mommy. Bye. (She hangs up the phone)

Dieter: All right. We’re gonna play Random. A random game.

Kaitlyn: Okay.

Dieter: I name two people +…

LC: You have to pick which one you’d rather hook up with. Just play, go. Okay Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn: What?

Dieter: Wait I was gonna go.

LC: Polster or Trey?

Kaitlyn: Trey.

LC: Dieter, Christina or Morgan? (Dieter coughs. LC laughs)

Kaitlyn: You made the rule about not being able to “I’d never do it”.

Dieter: Definitely never Morgan so it’d be Christina.

Kaitlyn: What about you Ste?

Stephen: Not playing. (Kaitlin laughs)

Dieter: So LC, who are you gonna hook up with this weekend? (LC looks at him and Kaitlyn laughs)

CUT TO: Laguna Beach

Taylor and Talan are walking to the restaurant.

Taylor: Oh my god. It’s so good. Is yours good? Let me taste.

Talan: Mine’s like thick. (She tastes it and gives it back) This is cool. Eat your flower.

Taylor: No. It’s too pretty to eat.

Talan: You look really good.

Taylor: Thanks.

Talan: I’m serious.

Taylor: You look good too.

Talan: When I’m around you, I act so much different than I do when I’m around any other girl. I mean it’s like literally, my whole…everything changes + I just like…I don’t even know how to explain it. I don’t have a girlfriend because every girl I ever try to date, I compare to you. Wow. It’s like a line from a movie or something. Every girl I try to date, I compare to you, but there’s no comparison ‘cause there’s no girl like you that I’ve met thus far in my life.

Taylor: You’ve just said nicer to me in the past five minutes than I’ve gotten in the past like five years.

Talan: It was really hard for me to say that.

Taylor: Oh. It was cute. (Then it cuts to them leaving the restaurant)

Talan: See ya.

Taylor: Bye. Thank you. (As they walk, he puts his arm around her)

CUT TO: Rosarito Beach Hotel in Rosarito, Mexico.

They are toasting to LC’s birthday.

Kaitlyn: Happy birthday.

Stephen: Cheers.

Kaitlyn: (singing with people who come to the table) …to you. Happy birthday dear Lauren. Happy birthday to you. (They clap)

LC: Thank you.

Stephen: Woo! Gracias, gracias. (LC gives Stephen the cheery)

Guy: Make a wish.

LC: No, no I’m making a wish.

Kaitlyn: Make it for me. (LC blows out the candles) It was for me? It was for me!

Stephen: Woo!

LC: Totally wasn’t for you. (LC likes something off Stephen’s nose. Stephen gets up)

Dieter: Stephen? Where are you going?

LC: I bet you anything you don’t know what I wished for.

Dieter: I guarantee you I know what you wished for. I know what you wished for.

LC: What did I wish for?

Dieter: I know what you wished for.

LC: Tell – look at me.

Dieter: Do you want me to say it out loud?

LC: Yeah, say it out loud. What did I wish for?

Dieter: I think you wished for that d**k that just left. (She mouths “Stephen?”) I am so f**king right.

CUT TO: Laguna Beach – Morgan S.’s House

Talan, Taylor, Alex M, and Morgan S are outside

Talan: So are we all gonna go to Kristin’s party?

Morgan S: Yeah I guess so. I’m sure Jason’s going and Jessica.

Alex M: Who do you know that’s going?

Taylor: I’m not going.

Talan: Taylor it’s stupid that you’re gonna like not go.

Taylor: No it’s not.

Alex M: Oh Talan we weren’t invited. Why does she not like Taylor?

Talan: She does like Taylor. I talked to her.  She has no problem with Taylor.

Alex M: Cool.

Talan: I have to go to lunch. Sorry. Um, call me guys later or something.

Morgan S: Okay.

Talan: Bye. Bye Taylor. (They hug and kiss)

Taylor: Bye. See you later.

Talan: Bye. Call me. Bye guys.

Alex M: See ya.

Morgan S: Bye. Have fun at lunch. (He leaves)  

Alex M: How’s your little thing with Talan?

Taylor: I don’t know. I can’t explain it.

Morgan S: They’re like a couple without actually being a couple.

Taylor: Yeah. Why not? We have so much fun together, you know what I mean? He’s just a fun guy.

Alex M: He’s like the funnest date ever.

Taylor: The best date.

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Kristin, Alex H, and Jessica are getting ready for Kristin’s party.

Kristin: Should I wear this?

Alex H: Make sure you feel cute ‘cause it’s a birthday party.

Kristin: What shoes though?

Alex H: Your little white ones?

Kristin: Is that too dressy though?

Jessica: What little white ones? Let me see.

Kristin: These ones.

Jessica: Oh that’s not bad. That’s fine.

Alex H: Oh Kristin do you wanna open my present to you?

Jessica: Yes, yes, yes. 

Kristin: Alex I can’t even believe you. (She opens it up) Alex!

Jessica: Those are really cute.

Kristin: Oh my god. Oh my god. Thank you so much.

Alex H: (Kristin hugs her) Happy birthday.

Kristin: Al, thank you.

CUT TO: Rosarito Beach Hotel

Stephen is calling Kristin. It shows both of them as they talk.

Kristin: It’s Stephen.

Jessica: Answer it.

Kristin: Hello?

Stephen: Hey.

Kristin: How are you? What are you doing?

Stephen: Uh nothing. Just watching TV. What are you doing?

Kristin: Nothing.

Stephen: Well have a good birthday.

Kristin: Thanks. All righty, thank you. (They hang up) Well “have a good birthday”. Why can’t he just like grow up and just like talk to me? Why does he have to be so like…?

Alex H: Make it awkward?

Kristin: God yeah. Whatever. He’s immature. Shall we?

CUT TO: Kristin’s birthday party

Kristin, Alex H, and Jessica enter.

Kristin: Can you move over so I can sit down there? (Everyone shouts “Happy birthday” to Kristin. Jason and Jessica kiss) Did you really make me a cake?

JP: Yeah.

Kristin: Oh.

Talan: (He gets up) Everyone, everyone. This is to Kristin. Happy birthday Kristin. (Everyone cheers)  

Kristin: Thank you Talan.

Talan: Happy birthday cheers. Woo!

CUT TO: Rosarito Beach Hotel

They are leaving the hotel.  They go to a place called Papas and Beer.

LC and Stephen sit down.

LC: Hey Dieter. (She takes her jacket off. Stephen gets on the mechanical bull. Dieter helps LC on.)

Stephen: Now hang on that way okay?

LC: I got it.

Stephen: Woo! Hang on. Don’t blow it. Don’t blow it.  

LC: I’m not. (They fall off)

CUT TO: Kristin’s Party

Kristin: I haven’t seen you for a long time Talan. (She does a fake tear on her cheek)

Alex H: Talan, you look good.

Kristin: You do. You look good. (She blows him a kiss) Talan’s cute. Don’t let myself say that.

Alex H: What?

Kristin: That Talan’s cute.

Alex H: Here we go again.

Kristin: Come here Talan. Come here cutie. (She laughs) I like it when you do that. (She gets up and so does Talan. He hugs her.)

Talan: We have to hang out.

Kristin: Ow!

Talan: You have no choice but to hang out with me.

Kristin: Okay.

CUT TO: New York Jazz Club in Mexico

They go inside. Stephen kisses LC.

LC: Ow! Oh. (She hugs Stephen)

Stephen: Happy birthday and I love you. And I’m glad we’re all down here + having fun.

LC: Thank you. That’s all I wanted. (He kisses her again) Thank you. (He laughs. He kisses her nose. She blows air. He blows air in her face) Where are we going after this?

Stephen: Where are we going after this?

LC: Yeah. (Soon they leave. When they’re outside, Stephen puts his arm around LC and then he hugs her.)

CUT TO: The Hotel

They’re in the room. Stephen puts a Do Not Disturb sign on the door + shuts it.

Stephen: We get ourselves in too much trouble.

LC: What do you mean?

CUT TO: The Hotel – The Next Morning

LC comes out of the shower while Stephen is asleep. She tries to wake him up.

LC: Stephen.

CUT TO: Outside.

They put their bags inside the car to go home.

Dieter: I can’t believe this girl woke up.

Kaitlyn: I can’t believe everyone woke up.

Stephen: (They’re on the highway) I feel so good right now.

LC: I seriously can’t believe you’re gonna leave today. (They continue driving home)

CUT TO: Laguna Beach – Alex M.’s House

Taylor: I wonder how Kristin’s party was last night.

Alex M: I can’t believe Talan went when you’re weren’t invited.

Taylor: I feel like he talks bad about Kristin to me and then to her he talks bad about me. Like what do you see like an outsider like as a friend looking in? Like ‘cause everyone’s like…

Alex M: Looking at the whole Talan/Taylor situation?

Taylor: Yeah.

Alex M: Well obviously he’s like majorly infatuated with you number one and he just really likes you.

Taylor: It’s just sometimes…like I know if he had a girlfriend he really liked he’d treat her so well. Like a…

Alex M: Princess.

Taylor: So well. And sometimes I’m like “Oh that’d be really nice”. But…

Alex M: He jumps quickly with people.

Taylor: He like has girlfriend. He’s like “Yeah I have a girlfriend, but I like her”. I don’t know, it’s like a game.

CUT TO: Outside

Kristin is meeting Talan.

Talan: What’s up Kristin? (They hug) How are you doing?

Kristin: Good. How are you?

Talan: I’m good. I’m just really tired. I buzzed my head again.

Kristin: Really? (She laughs) I like it.

Talan: I got so bored. I have the worst ADD and like it’s so bad.

Kristin: Do you get bored with your hair?

Talan: I don’t know.

Kristin: So do you know any cute boys? I need a boyfriend.

Talan: Boyfriend? I thought Matt…

Kristin: He’s not my boyfriend.

Talan: So you can still play the field? Yeah of course. I don’t know…Kristin has like a penis mentality. (She laughs)

Kristin: Jessica always says I’m the girl version of Jason. Are you dating Taylor? (He shakes his head “No”) Yeah.

Talan: No.

Kristin: We need to start hanging out.

Talan: Yeah. I’m down, seriously.

CUT TO: Stephen’s House

He is getting ready to leave. LC comes to say good bye.

LC: You’re bringing a snowboard?

Stephen: Yeah I’m gonna meet Chris and Davey in Tahoe.

LC: Oh.

Stephen: Uh huh. It’s all said and done.

LC: I’m switching with you, I’m staring into the sun.

Stephen: What’s that? Oh.

LC: I said I’m staring into the sun. So you’re driving the whole way?

Stephen: Thinking about it. I’m gonna stop.

LC: That sucks. Six hour drive by yourself.

Stephen: Yeah I’ll get a lot of thinking in. Should be quite interesting. See that’s bull s**t you know? It was a fun break.

LC: Yeah.

Stephen: Fun while it lasted. Any second thoughts?

LC: No.

Stephen: No?

LC: No.

Stephen: You’re happier down here?

LC: I’m way happier down here.

Stephen: That’s okay then.

LC: Mm-hmm. I just don’t want everyone to leave.

Stephen: Yeah. Well we’re all going. (They hug) Thanks for coming back. Hang in there. (He kisses her head) It’ll be okay. You can call me when you’re really bored and you miss me and you wanna be up in San Francisco.

LC: Yeah right.

Stephen: (Puts his hood on) This kid is going back up. Wish you were coming. (He hugs her again) Just be happy. That’s why you came down here.

LC: Yeah.

Stephen: Keep that head on straight. Okay.

LC: Have a good drive.

Stephen: What?

LC: I said have a good drive.

Stephen: Thank you. (They hug) All right. Get out of here. (They both get in their cars. He rolls down his window. As LC leaves, he sticks his tongue out at her. Then he leaves. Shows them as they drive. Then LC on the phone)

LC: Hey Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn: When he’s gonna leave?

LC: He already left. I just said good bye to him. It sucks. I hate saying good bye to people.

Kaitlyn: Did you cry?

LC: I tried so hard not to. The whole time I was just like “Don’t cry, don’t cry”. I know. I’ll see you in a few days. I’ll see you in a few months. (It shows Stephen drive. Then LC hanging up her cell phone. Then LC and Stephen as they drive.)
