Just a interesting tit bit, the actress who plays the new recruit, Karen, originally tried out for the role of Nikita, but lost it to Peta.

Intro:

A woman is sitting in a chair with her hands tied back. It is all dark except one light over her.

"I don't know what it is you want me to say?"

A hand comes out of the darkness and slaps her. Michael comes into the light. "I have you kid, I am prepared to torture and kill him if you don't cooperate." Michael's face is barely inches away from the woman's. All the sudden, the woman wraps her tied hands around Michael's neck to bring him closer to her. A razor in between her lips and was put right against Michael's neck.

Mic: good, but you are off the jugular by half an inch.

Ops orders the lights to be turned on.

"Thank you, Michael."

Madeline and Nikita are also with Ops. Ops explain to Nikita that the woman, Karen, has two weeks of training left. It is going to be Nikita's decision whether Karen is sect one material or not. If Nikita decides she is not, Karen will be cancelled. Madeline makes it clear that Karen is not the only one being tested here.

Nikita brings Karen into a round shaped room. Images of people would appear, and Karen has to shoot them with a laser gun. Pretty soon, Karen was getting shot AT, and you can tell she is really nervous. And as more and more lasers hit her, she is almost crying. Finally she begs Nikita to please stop.

K: I can't do this.

N: Yes you can.

Nikita takes the laser gun from Karen, and tells the guy to start the sequence. Nikita calmly starts to shoot. As the lasers hit her, she got back on to her feet and kept shooting.

When the sequence is completed, Nikita explains to Karen:" This exercise isn't about shooting. It is about what you are going to do afterwards."

Karen and Nikita walk out of the training room. Karen asks Nik what has happened to Brian, her original trainer, and who is going to decide whether she makes it or not.

Nikita avoids the Qs, by telling her to go and change.

As Karen walks away, Michael stops her. They start to talk. Michael is actually, gasp, smiling during the whole time. Nikita is watching all of this, and you can tell she is JEALOUS!!

BRIEFING

Ops: A confidential letter containing a hypothetical plan to assassinate Muslim leaders were stolen from NATO. It cannot be made public. Andre Kreizel is ransoming the letter for 50 million.

As the briefing ended, Brian walks over to Nikita and tells her that Karen does not belong in Section One, and that she is SICK.

A van drops Nikita and Karen off. Karen is really nervous, she is having a hard time breathing.

K: Just a minute

N: We don't have a minute.

Nikita and Karen enter the night club.

K: I can't do this.

Nikita slams Karen into a wall and tells her: "If you want to live, walk after me and do what you are going to do."

Nikita orders a Martini, she then says into the hidden microphone "behind him and to his left."

Karen looks behind her. "Those (body guards) are all his?" Clearly shocked.

N: um hum.

K: What now?

N: We check in. We got him, Michael.

Michael is in the van, nice and comfy. "Good, take your positions."

Brian is playing the role of waiter. He takes the champagne to Kreizel's table. At the same time, two men in black walks in the bar. Brian pours the champagne.

Mic: all teams prepare for assault.

Then all the sudden, the two men in black started to shoot.

Mic: why are they shooting?

Nik: they are not our people.

Mic: collect the wounded and regroup.

As Nikita opens the door to a hall way, she notices Brian lying dead on the floor, and Karen running away from his body.

The team is back in sect one. Ops is pretty pissed.

"Madeline's office NOW!"

He then asks Michael what happened.

Mic: someone was there before us. It was out of our control.

Ops: nothing is out of our control. You were imprepared!!

Have you noticed that Michael is screwing up a lot lately, if he is not careful, he is going to be cancelled.

Mad: did either one of you see what happened

Kar: No, I never saw Brian.

Mad: Did you (Nikita)?

Nik: he was down when I got there. (She is covering up for Karen, for she saw Karen run away from Brian's body)

Karen leaves the office. Madeline asks Nik:"Is there something else I should know?" (She knows Nik lied)

Nik: No

Mad: Good

Nikita is getting some hand on combat equipment from Walter.

Wal: what do you need these for?

Nik: I am working with Karen.

Just then Nikita see Michael talking to Karen, AGAIN. He is smiling at her, AGAIN.

Walter noticed Nikita watching them, and of course could not let it go.

Wal: You two going to get sweaty?

Nik: Just bag it Walter.

Nikita walks over, and calls Karen away. She opens her mouth as if she is going to say something to Michael, then decided not to. She just left him. As Michael walks away, he is smiling. He knows he is making Nikita jealous, he is doing the whole thing on purpose!!

Nikita is training Karen. She kept ordering Karen to kick harder until Karen knocked Nikita down. Nikita got up and into fighting position. She got Karen into a hold.

K: what did I do to you?

N: No, what did you do to Brian?

K: nothing

Nikita put more pressure on the hold, and Karen cried out in pain.

N: what happened

K: I shot him

N: Why?

K: He raped me

N: How did you get here?

K: We got high, broke into a drug store. Don't remember much. They told me I killed someone . . . what now?

N: I don't know.

Michael walks in:"we have new intelligence on Kreizel. I need you both ready in 20."

When Michael leaves, Karen says to Nikita:" I can be a good operative, Nikita."

Karen, Michael and NIKITA are getting dressed for the mission.

Karen is adjusting her belt, "Should this be this tight?"

Michael walked right behind her, and start to adjust it for her. He is basically caressing her, until Nikita finally snapped:" What are you going to do? Guess her belt size?!" (I was laughing so hard during this)

Madeline is watching all of this, she is smiling, she can tell Nikita is jealous. Karen and Michael leaves the room.

Mad: what is it Nikita?

Nikita asks Madeline if Brian was taken away from his job as Karen's trainer, because he was abusive. Madeline replies: "The judgement you are going to make isn't about Brian. It is about Karen."

Nik: so he did it.

Mad: I didn't say that

Nik: but you didn't deny it either.

Nikita says to Birk: I need a favour.

Birk: I don't do favours.

Nik: Please Birkhoff, it is important.

Birk: what do you think I do all day, play computer games?

Nik: You probably couldn't do it anyway. You will have to break the inscription on the Section main frame.

Birkhoff's head snapped up at the challenge.

Nikita, Karen and MICHAEL walk into an office building of some sort.

Michael stays with the receptionist, while Karen and Nikita went inside. An old and a younger man is sitting in the office.

Nik: where is the safe?

The old man presses the alarm. Karen knocks her gun against the old man's head. The young man still didn't tell.

Mic: What is going on in there?

Karen takes her gun and shoot the young man in the arm. Finally he says: (the safe is) behind the book case."

Nikita opens the safe and takes the info she needed.

As Nikita, Karen, and Michael are walking out. Nikita says to Karen:"you didn't have to shoot him."
Kar: It was taking too long.
Nik: He was going to tell us.
Mic: You don't know that, we had a live alarm. Karen did the right thing.

MICHAEL is standing in his office. Nikita walks in.
Mic: Yes?
Nik: When I was first recruited, you were my trainer. You decided if I made it or not.
Mic: that is right.
Nik: how did you make your decision? What were you looking for? Is it some kind of checklist, or is it intuition, gut feeling?
Mic: I don't believe in intuition. You scores were high, you excelled in all areas. It was an obvious choice. It wasn't a very difficult decision.
Nik: Why did Operations resist?
Mic: Who told you that?
Nik: Intuition.
Mic: Operations didn't like you.
Nik: But you did. (Dah!)
Mic: This is about Karen.
Nik: She tested well. Everyone likes her.
Mic: everyone but you.
Nik: I don't trust her. You weren't there today. She liked it.
Mic: Anything else?
Nik: You two seem to like each other.
Mic: I don't understand you meaning.
Nik: Come on, Michael. I seen the way you act together. You laugh like you are old friends.
Mic: What is your question?
Nik: I need to know if your admiration for her is purely professional.
Mic: I thought you would know me better then that.
Nik: That is funny Michael, because I don't know you at all.

They have gotten a location on the letter. Just before Nikita leaves, Birkhoff stops her.

Birk: She is not a one timer. She started killing when she was seven, her grandmother. She is a sociopath. Brian asked Operations for the change. He was terrified of her. He knew she knew that he was going to recommend against her. Whatever you do, don't get on this chick's bad side. (the plot thickens)

Michael, Nikita, Karen walked into a bank. Michael tells an elderly female clerk that he would like to get to his safety deposit box.

Clerk: I need two ids please.

In the mean time, Nikita has managed to hook the interest of a male bank clerk.

Elder Woman Clerk: Just sign here. This way please.

She leads Michael into the back of the back, and takes out the safety deposit box, and give it to Michael. MICHAEL turns his back toward the clerk. As he opens the box, the elderly woman shoots him in the back. Michael falls to the floor. The clerk grabs the letter and rans out.

Karen notices the elderly female clerk coming out of the back without Michael, and was in a hurry to put her jacket on. Karen warns Nikita.

Nik -> Clerk: excuse me, Mam, where is my friend?

Three men dressed in black walks into the bank, starts to shoot.

Nik: we got shooters, everybody down.

Nikita rans into the back. MICHAEL is lying on the ground. Nikita quickly starts to search for a wound. "Michael is down." Michael wakes up. Nikita touches his face. "It hit the vest (not breast, Chris), get the letter."

Nikita follows the elderly woman to the top of the roof. A helicopter is waiting for her. Nikita shoots her down. Just as she was about to shoot Kreizel, she realized that she have no bullets left. Karen runs in and shoots Kreizel. She walks to Kreizel's dead body and gets the letter. Karen is almost jumping in excitement. "What a rush!!" Then she shot the already dead bodies again, while Nikita watched.

Walter is taking Nikita's jacket off.

Nik: how is Michael?

Wal: He's ok. They are waiting for you upstairs.

Karen stops Nikita, who was on her way to Ops.

Kar: Nikita, I saved you life today.

Nik: yes, you did. you also killed Brian in cold blood.

Kar: does it really matter? I have earned my place here, and you can't take it away.

When Nikita still does not answer, Karen finally says: "What will they do if you made the wrong choice?"

Ops: Have you came to a decision?

Nik: cancel her

Mad: She is already been cancelled

Nik: what? I just spoke to her

Mad: it doesn't' take long.

Nik: but I haven't made my decision yet.

Mad: it wasn't your decision to make.

Nik: What does it mean?

Mad: An operative's resolve and judgement are as important as her technical skills. I knew Karen would be a problem. We wanted to know if you would come to the same conclusion.

Nik: if I haven't . . .

Ops: Then we would have two problems. (meaning, Nikita would have been cancelled along with Karen)

Ops and Madeline walks away. Nikita looks down, Michael is walking by, he looks up, and they look at each other. I think Nikita has just realized what Michael has done for her. He has risked his life to go against Ops' wishes to say that Nik is section material.
