SUMMARY: In an attempt to help Agent Brody find out who's been stealing
Guardian Angels, Paige's Guardian Angel is stolen. Piper and Phoebe help Leo go
on his Vision Quest to find purpose in his life, but he winds up meeting the
Avatars, the dangerous New Power threatening both Good and Evil magic.

NARRATOR (ROSE MCGOWAN): (v.o.) Previously on Charmed ...
[Scene from 7X04: Charrrmed!]
[INT. POLICE DEPARTMENT - BULLPEN -- DAY]
(Agent Brody introduces himself to Inspector Sheridan and Darryl Morris.)
AGENT BRODY: You want the Feds? You got 'em.
(He shows them his FBI I.D.)
[TRIQUETRA FLASH TO]
[INT. TREASURE ISLAND - CAVERN]
(Inspector Sheridan points her gun at Piper and Phoebe.)
INSPECTOR SHERIDAN: Face down, on the ground! Now!
(Phoebe clutches the chalice in her hands. A tranquilizer dart gun sounds.
Inspector Sheridan falls to the floor. Behind her, we see Agent Brody with the
dart gun.)
(Piper and Phoebe both look confused. He waves the gun loosely in his hand to
show them what it is.)
AGENT BRODY: Dart gun.
PIPER: Who are you?
AGNET BRODY: Someone you owe now.
[TRIQUETRA FLASH TO]
[Scene from 7X06: Once in a Blue Moon]
[INT. AGENT BRODY'S APARTMENT -- DAY]
(Agent Brody talks with Paige.)
AGENT BRODY: I don't have much time, Paige. None of us do. There's a new
threat coming, a New Power unlike anything that you've ever seen before and
you're gonna need my help to stop it.
[TRIQUETRA FLASH TO]
[Scene from 7X04: Charrrmed!]
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC -- NIGHT]
(Leo talks with Piper.)
LEO: I've been seeing things lately, and I don't know if they're real or not,
but they seem like they are.
[Scene from 7X06: Once in a Blue Moon]
[INT. UNDERWORLD -- CAVERN]
(The Avatars discuss Leo in front of the Possessor Demon.)
BETA AVATAR (FEMALE): Leo is being drawn back to his family, back to good.
ALPHA AVATAR (MALE): But he's not there yet. We must drive him away, make them
afraid of him if we're to succeed.
[INT. MAGIC SCHOOL - GREAT HALL -- NIGHT]
(Piper looks at Leo.)
PIPER: Come on, let's go home.
LEO: I can't. I have to stay away from you for your own sake. (Piper can't
believe it.) I'm sorry.
FADE TO
END OF PREVIOUSLY ON
FADE IN.
[EXT. STREET INTERSECTION -- DAY]
(A firefighter on a ladder shoots water at the third-floor while others on the
ground help to put a burning building out. Smoke billows out from the windows.
Down on the streets below, the police have blocked off the intersection as
curious on-lookers stand and watch.)
(Phoebe stands at the opposite corner of the intersection. A green VW turns the
corner and pulls to a stop near the curb in front of Phoebe. Paige parks her
car.)
PHOEBE: Paige, there you are!
(Paige gets out of the car and stands next to Phoebe. Both look at the burning
building.)
PAIGE: Has anyone gotten hurt?
PHOEBE: (shakes her head) Not as far as I can tell.
PAIGE: Have you seen Agent Brody yet?
PHOEBE: What are we doing here?
PAIGE: Well, he said for us to meet him here. He needed to talk to us about
something important.
PHOEBE: Yeah, but, Paige, it's a fire.
PAIGE: So?
PHOEBE: So we don't do fires. Firemen do fires. We do fireballs.
PAIGE: Look, he said it was something connected to this New Power thing he's
been talking about.
PHOEBE: (quips) Yeah, well, we're not Brody's Angels. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
It's just I'm stressed, it's my first week back at work, and I have a lot of
catching up to do.
(From behind them, Kyle walks up to them. He's carrying a walkie-talkie in this
hand and taps Phoebe on the shoulder to draw her attention. He continues to
walk down the sidewalk. They follow as he explains what he thinks is going on.)
KYLE BRODY: Follow me. Keep an eye on the third floor.
(They stop walking.)
PHOEBE: Wait -- why?
(Kyle Brody's eyes are on the third floor of the burning building.)
KYLE BRODY: Because somebody's trapped inside, and if I'm right, he's gonna
jump and he's not gonna get hurt.
PAIGE: How do you know?
KYLE BRODY: It's just a hunch.
PHOEBE: (skeptical) Just a hunch, huh, Agent Brody?
KYLE BRODY: Kyle.
(Phoebe rolls her eyes and sighs. Paige smiles.)
PHOEBE: Whatever. Look, I don't mean to be rude, but we don't really know you.
And I know you were right about the whole New Power thing, ...
(A commotion from the crowd draws their attention.)
VOICE: (o.s.) He's on the ledge!
VOICE: (o.s.) He's gonna jump!
PHOEBE: ... But I --
(Phoebe stops. Everyone looks up at the building where they see a man hanging
on to the outside ledge.)
VOICE: Help! Bring the ladder over here!
(Suddenly from inside, the building explodes outward through the windows. The
force of the explosion jars the man's grip loose. He turns and falls off the
building.)
[SLOW MOTION]
(As the man falls, we hear the increasing sounds of whispering around him. He
reaches out and grabs a rung from the fire escape ladder.)
[RESUME MOTION]
(With the increase in his weight, the ladder releases and pulls the man down to
the sidewalk.)
(Miraculously in front of the crowd, the man lands on his feet unharmed.)
(Kyle Brody scratches his head in amazement at what just happened, but he's not
really surprised that it did happen. The crowd is amazed by what they just
witnessed. Firefighters rush up to the man to check on him.)
FIREMAN: Are you all right?
(They lead him away from the burning building.)
PHOEBE: Whoa!
PAIGE: Okay, how did you know that?
KYLE BRODY: Because that's the fourth person it's happened to in the last
month. Which means if the pattern holds, he's about to die.
PAIGE: Pattern? What pattern?
PHOEBE: What?
(Overhead, they hear a helicopter whirring.)
KYLE BRODY: (to walkie-talkie) All right, guys. Stay on the survivor. And
keep recording.
VOICE: (from radio) Copy that.
(Kyle Brody walks away heading intending to follow the survivor. Phoebe looks
up at the helicopter above. Paige looks very impressed.)
PHOEBE: God, is he talking to that helicopter?
PAIGE: He's really cool.
(Paige and Phoebe follow Kyle Brody across the street toward the survivor. As
they walk past, we note the young man standing in the crowd. He's the demon,
Sarpedon.)
(Another explosion sounds from the building. The crowd outside screams.)
(The fireman and Quincy, the burning building survivor, both automatically duck.
Quincy knows that the fireman needs to be fighting the fire and not babysitting
him.)
QUINCY: Go! I'm okay!
FIREMAN: EMT needs to check you out first. (He points.) Down there.
(Quincy coughs as he heads off in the direction the fireman points to.)
(Sarpedon watches. As we watch, double-pointed razor-sharp talons slowly extend
beyond the sleeve of his coat.)
[EXT. SIDE OF BUILDING - DAY - CONTINUOUS]
(Quincy runs along the street presumably heading for the area where the fireman
pointed him toward. His head is down as he coughs.)
(Agent Brody, Paige and Phoebe walk along the building sidewalk trying to catch
up with him, keeping in within their sights.)
VOICE: (o.s.) Sir? Sir, hold on a second.
VOICE: (o.s.) Sir, wait. Sir --
(At the curb, Quincy turns around.)
[GRADUAL SLOW MOTION TO BARELY MOVING]
(Kyle Brody puts out his hand to stop Quincy from taking that step off the curb.
His voice slows down as time slows down to a halt.)
KYLE BRODY: Noooo!
(The water from the firemen's hoses stop mid-air; Phoebe and Paige stop mid-
stride; Agent Brody stops mid-word. Everything and everyone around them has
come to a complete halt.)
(Even Quincy has stopped, his foot just off the sidewalk curb as he's turned to
look back behind him.)
(Above him, a white being of light lands next to Quincy and manifests into a
Guardian dressed completely in white. He leans forward to warn Quincy.)
GUARDIAN: Stop. Watch for the --
(Sarpedon suddenly appears in front of Quincy. He stares at Quincy's Guardian.)
GUARDIAN: Who are you?
SARPEDON: A thief.
(Sarpedon reaches for the circular amulet around his neck. He touches it and it
starts to glow brightly. Quincy's Guardian is sucked into the amulet. Sarpedon
leans toward Quincy.)
SARPEDON: Looks like you're on your own.
(Sarpedon vanishes.)
(Normal time resumes.)
(Quincy turns from looking behind him as he steps out onto the street.)
KYLE BRODY: (shouts) No, no, no, wait!
(We hear the horn of an approaching truck.)
(It's moving way too fast to stop. The truck slams into Quincy killing him
instantly. Phoebe and Paige both react at the sight. Agent Brody groans in
frustration knowing they were too late.)
KYLE BRODY: Damn it!

ROLL TITLE CREDITS
(COMMERCIAL SET)
FADE IN.
[EXT. STREET -- DAY]
(The street is now a crime scene. Officers have the road taped off and a sheet
is placed over Quincy. An officer speaks with the truck driver. Agent Brody
speaks with another officer.)
(Phoebe and Paige stand on the side watching.)
PHOEBE: I still don't understand how he knew this was gonna happen.
PAIGE: I don't know why we couldn't have stopped it.
PHOEBE: Stopped what? A jumper jumped out of a burning building only to get hit
by a truck? I mean, what's the connection there?
PAIGE: I'm hoping Kyle knows.
PHOEBE: Okay, you know, can we please call him "Agent Brody" until we can trust
him?
PAIGE: I trust him.
(Agent Brody walks across the street toward them.)
PAIGE: You okay?
KYLE BRODY: (tiredly) No. Just wish I knew why this keeps happening.
PAIGE: Well, you said something about a pattern, right?
KYLE BRODY: Yeah. Every time something unusual happens, I investigate. The
more unusual it is, the more it tends to lead me towards this New Power I was
telling you about.
PHOEBE: Does this New Power have a name?
KYLE BRODY: I don't know yet. You guys wanna walk?
(He turns and starts walking down the sidewalk. Phoebe and Paige follow. He
steps on the crime scene tape to let them walk over it.)
PAIGE: So you think that whole thing is what's killing these innocents?
KYLE BRODY: Well, I don't think they're literally running them down if that's
what you're asking, but I do think they're doing something to cause them to get
killed.
PHOEBE: Hmm. What kind of something?
KYLE BRODY: I don't know. But whatever it is, it's got something to do with
taking powers, 'cause that's what they're all about.
PHOEBE: Wait. Powers? Innocents don't have powers. If they did, they
wouldn't need us.
KYLE BRODY: All I know is that things this unusual don't just happen like this
over and over again. I mean, something's going on here.
PHOEBE: (sarcastic) Another hunch?
(Paige nudges Phoebe with her shoulder to stop it.)
KYLE BRODY: Don't knock it, Phoebe. My hunches led me to you.
(He looks around, his mind elsewhere.)
KYLE BRODY: Look. I can guarantee you this is not gonna be the last person to
miraculously escape a fire only to die moments later. If you guys wanna help me
figure this one out ...
(A black SUV comes to a screeching halt just behind them.)
KYLE BRODY: ... you know where to find me.
(Kyle Brody heads for the black SUV. The back door opens and he slips inside as
Paige and Phoebe watch. Paige is sufficiently impressed.)
PHOEBE: What do you think?
PAIGE: I think he's got some style.
(Phoebe looks away and shakes her head.)
PHOEBE: Mmmph.
CUT TO:
[INT. UNDERWORLD - CAVERN]
(Sarpedon returns to his lair. He drops his coat and looks around expecting to
find someone.)
(Off to the side, Aku appears.)
AKU: How dare you summon me.
(Sarpedon smirks and turns around.)
SARPEDON: You said to call if I ever wanted to challenge you.
AKU: You think you are ready to challenge me? The last time you tried it, I
spared your life. This time, I may not be so merciful.
SARPEDON: Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
AKU: You've been around humans too long. What makes you think you're ready?
SARPEDON: Like you said, I've been around humans.
AKU: Shall we?
(Sarpedon touches the amulet around his neck. It starts to glow.)
SARPEDON: (quietly to the amulet) Talk to me.
(The whispering starts.)
(Aku throws a powerball at Sarpedon. Even though Sarpedon is looking down at
the amulet, he senses the powerball and immediately raises his razor-sharp
weapon to block it.)
(Aku throws another powerball at Sarpedon who slows down time enough to bend
back to avoid being hit.)
(Aku follows it up with another powerball that misses Sarpedon and hits the wall
behind him.)
(The whispering continues.)
(Sarpedon disappears and reappears behind Aku. Aku turns around and they start
hand-to-hand combat. Sarpedon swings and jabs, but Aku dodges and parries.)
(Sarpedon takes a step forward jabbing the razor-sharp talon at Aku, who grabs
his arm and stops him.)
AKU: You've come far quickly.
(Aku pulls back quickly. He slices and hits Sarpedon on the arm.)
SARPEDON: Aah!
(Sarpedon looks down at his bleeding arm.)
SARPEDON: Not far enough. I need more!
AKU: More what?
SARPEDON: More Guardians. I steal the ones who help save their humans so that
they can help me instead.
AKU: All this just to defeat me?
SARPEDON: No. So that I can protect myself from the great threat you taught us
was coming.
AKU: Nothing can protect you from that. Unless you go into hiding until--
SARPEDON: I won't hide! If demons don't stand up to them, who will? I just
need more.
(Sarpedon vanishes out of the cave.)
CUT TO:
[INT. MAGIC SCHOOL - GREAT HALL - DAY]
(Piper walks across the Great Hall carrying some books in her hand. Phoebe
follows behind her.)
PIPER: Could you do me a favor and call Rex and have them do a sound check
before the show? I don't want to mess up The Donnas' album release party. It's
gonna be packed.
(Piper puts the books down on the table.)
PHOEBE: Piper, are you even listening to me?
PIPER: Yeah, yeah. Brody, fires, hunches. I got my own problems. Are you
sure Enola graduated already?
PHOEBE: Yeah, I'm positive. Why?
PIPER: Because she might be the only one who can save Leo.
PHOEBE: What are you talking about?
PIPER: Well, she helped you see your future with a Vision Quest, right? Gave
you something to look forward to, life after demons -- That's what Leo needs.
PHOEBE: Yeah, but there's no guarantees that Leo would see that. I mean, a
Vision Quest can take you anywhere, and sometimes it can even be dangerous.
PIPER: Couldn't be any more dangerous than what he's going through right now if
that stupid New Power is still after him.
PHOEBE: A Vision Quest won't change that.
PIPER: No, but it may show him a way to fight them. Phoebe, he's alone and
he's scared, and he's forgotten who he is. I'm afraid if I can't help him now,
my children are gonna lose their father.
PHOEBE: It's still risky.
PIPER: Yeah, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.
PHOEBE: Okay.
(Phoebe turns around and uncaps a jar with an ingredient inside.)
PIPER: What are you doing?
PHOEBE: I'm making the Vision Quest potion. She showed me how to do it.
PIPER: And what about Brody?
PHOEBE: (sighs) Paige can take care of Brody. I think she likes taking care
of Brody if you know what I'm talking about. Besides, this ... is family.
CUT TO:
[EXT. BRODY'S APARTMENT -- DAY]
(Kyle Brody sits at his computer working on the video footage from the
afternoon's accident. On the monitor, he's looking at a frame of footage of
Quincy just as he's crossing the street. Brody adds a filter to the frame and
two images, one white and one black, appear.)
(There's a knock on the door.)
KYLE BRODY: (doesn't look up) Nobody's home.
(He doesn't turn away from the monitor. Behind him, Paige orbs into the living
room.)
PAIGE: You're quite the liar.
(Brody's startled. He turns to look at her.)
KYLE BRODY: Sorry. Didn't realize it was you. Actually, I'm surprised you even
showed up.
PAIGE: Really? Why would that be?
KYLE BRODY: I think it's pretty clear that your sister doesn't trust me very
much.
PAIGE: Should she?
KYLE BRODY: Yeah, I think she should. I think I've proven myself. I've saved
you from getting exposed more than once.
PAIGE: By the way, where is Inspector Sheridan?
(Hedging, he sits down on the couch's arm rest.)
KYLE BRODY: Does it really matter?
PAIGE: Uh ... it does if you hurt her.
KYLE BRODY: I'm not here to hurt anybody, Paige. I'm here to keep them from
getting hurt, remember?
PAIGE: The fact that you know that people may die is exactly what makes you so
suspicious, Agent Brody.
KYLE BRODY: Kyle.
(Paige nods slightly acknowledging him when something behind him catches her
eye.)
PAIGE: What is that?
(Paige sees the images on the computer. She walks over to the computer and
takes a seat at the table. Kyle looks over her shoulder.)
KYLE BRODY: That is a bird's-eye view of the victim just before he stepped off
of the curb. Now, we shot this with the fastest digital imaging equipment known
to man or at least Homeland Security, anyway.
(Kyle punches in the commands in the keyboard and the normal view of the freeze
frame appears.)
KYLE BRODY: Now, if you look at it in normal light, it appears as though he's
alone. I throw an E.M. filter on it ...
(He punches in the commands with the filter and the new images appear.)
KYLE BRODY: ... he's not.
PAIGE: What are those?
KYLE BRODY: If I had to guess, I'd say the light one's a protector of some
kind. Uh ...
PAIGE: Protector of what? Like some sort of Guardian Angel thing?
KYLE BRODY: (nods) Mm-hmm. That's one way of putting it. (Paige slides a look
at him. Kyle turns to look at her.) What, you don't believe in them?
PAIGE: You do?
KYLE BRODY: Given all the scrapes that I've slipped out of, it's the only
reason why I think I'm still alive. My guess is that that's the power that the
dark figure wants -- people who have especially strong protectors. That would
explain why they miraculously survive something and in the next moment don't.
(Paige stares at Kyle, again impressed by him. He turns and looks at her.)
KYLE BRODY: What?
PAIGE: (shakes her head) Nothing.
(Paige looks at the computer image.)
PAIGE: So, uh ... how do we find out if that dark figure is what you think it
is?
KYLE BRODY: We wait for the next fire. Interested?
(Paige turns and looks at Kyle.)
CUT TO:
[EXT. GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE (STOCK) - DAY]
[EXT. GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE - TOWER -- DAY]
(On the tallest tower of the Golden Gate Bridge, Leo sits on the edge looking
down at the traffic below. A strong, unnatural gust of wind blows at him.)
(He looks up and sees two Creature Head Demons floating toward him, whispering
discouraging words.)
ALPHA: There's nowhere else to turn.
GAMMA: Nowhere else to go.
(Leo scrambles to his feet.)
LEO: Leave me alone.
(The two Creature Head Demons swirl around Leo, taunting him.)
GAMMA: Let go of all you know.
ALPHA: Don't resist us.
(They linger in front of him. Leo takes a couple of steps backward, his eyes on
the two floating heads.)
LEO: Why are you doing this to me? What do you want?
(Leo orbs out.)
(The two Avatars, Alpha and Gamma, flash onto the tower, both are in their
corporeal form.)
GAMMA: Perhaps we've pushed him too far.
ALPHA: We have no choice. He must join us willingly, but first must see there
is no other option.
GAMMA: But his will is strong, even for an Elder.
ALPHA: Which is why he's so valuable to us.
(Alpha takes a couple of steps forward. He puts his hands out in front of him,
feeling something left lingering behind.)
GAMMA: What is it?
ALPHA: There may be another way, another opportunity to show him that one
cannot ignore the truth forever.
CUT TO:
[EXT. HALLIWELL MANOR (STOCK) - DAY]
PIPER: (v.o.) Leo?
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC -- DAY]
(Piper stands in the middle of the attic looking up at the ceiling.)
PIPER: Leo?
(Behind her, Phoebe stands and waits.)
PIPER: You see, I know he can hear me. He just doesn't wanna come.
(Phoebe steps forward.)
PHOEBE: Let me give this a try. (firmly) Leo! Leo, you get your butt down
here right now or we will summon your ass!
(Leo reluctantly orbs into the attic. Piper looks at Phoebe.)
PIPER: Nicely done.
LEO: It's not safe for me to be here. You know that.
PHOEBE: We'll take that risk.
LEO: What about the boys?
PIPER: They're at school. Nice try, though. We think we found a way to help
you.
LEO: Help me what?
PIPER: Help you stop running.
PHOEBE: It's a Vision Quest.
LEO: A Vision Quest. (He chuckles.) No way.
PIPER: Leo, don't you dare leave. This is not just about you. You are a
father and somebody's husband, too.
LEO: Which is why it's too risky for me to be here.
PIPER: Yeah, except you're the one that's in danger.
LEO: I'm an Elder. I can take care of myself.
PIPER: Actually, you haven't really been yourself lately.
PHOEBE: Look, Leo, the Vision Quest helped me, and we're thinking maybe it
could help you, too, you know?
LEO: Won't stop the creatures.
PIPER: How do you know? You've tried everything else. What do you have to
lose -- your mind, your family, your life? You've already lost all those
things, haven't you? Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong.
(He can't.)
PHOEBE: I'll go get the potion.
(Phoebe heads out.)
CUT TO:
[EXT. OFFICE BUILDING -- DAY]
(There's another fire at another office building. The fire fighters are putting
the fire out while officers block off the streets below.)
[INT. OFFICE BUILDING - DAY]
(Paige orbs Kyle Brody into the burning office. They cough.)
PAIGE: Okay, when I said I'd help you, this is not what I had in mind.
KYLE BRODY: Just go. I'll be okay.
PAIGE: Are you crazy? How is this gonna be okay?
KYLE BRODY: Because I believe in my guardian, remember? Look, if I'm right,
whoever set this fire is out there waiting for mine, so just say your spell when
I'm safe and we'll see what happens. Don't worry about me.
PAIGE: Yeah. It's a little late for that!
(Paige orbs out leaving Kyle alone in the office.)
(He looks behind him and in front of him, both entrances are blocked by the
flames. He closes his eyes and concentrates.)
KYLE BRODY: Which way?
[EXT. OFFICE BUILDING -- DAY]
(The firefighters continue to put out the burning building. In the crowd, Paige
takes a step back, worried for Kyle inside.)
(Through the open window, Kyle jumps out of the burning building.)
(The whispers start.)
[SLOW MOTION]
(Kyle Brody falls down several stories and lands hard on the glass overhead. It
breaks his fall. He tumbles off the overhead and lands face-down on the water-
soaked pavement.)
[RESUME MOTION]
(Paige lets out a sigh of relief when she sees that Kyle is unharmed.)
FIREMAN: (o.s.) Are you all right?
(Two firemen help Kyle to his feet.)
KYLE BRODY: I'm fine. Homeland Security.
(He shrugs them off and looks around.)
KYLE BRODY: Paige! Paige!
(He rushes over to her. She walks up to him.)
KYLE BRODY: Go!
(They stand very close to each other as she begins the spell.)
PAIGE: Uh ...
Show me what the evil sees
Even if at lightning speeds.
(Suddenly everything slows down to nothing. Paige takes a step back from Kyle
and watches as everything around her stops moving.)
[MOTION STOPS]
(Suddenly, something white blurs in next to Kyle. Kyle's Guardian Angel leans
forward to whisper to Kyle when Paige catches his attention.)
PAIGE: So it is true.
SARPEDON: (o.s.) Well, well, well.
(Both Paige and the Guardian Angel turn and see Sarpedon standing just beyond
the Guardian Angel.)
SARPEDON: What have we here? A witch?
(Sarpedon walks up to Paige.)
PAIGE: You're not getting his Guardian.
SARPEDON: Now, why would I want his when I can have yours?
(He looks next to Paige and touches the amulet around his neck. Paige turns and
sees the Woman Guardian standing next to her. She's sucked into Sarpedon's
amulet.)
(Sarpedon vanishes.)
[RESUME MOTION]
(Oh, no.)
(Paige stares out in front of her. Kyle looks around where Paige used to be.
He turns and is surprised to find Paige standing further away from him.)
(From the look on her face, he knows something's gone terribly wrong.)
KYLE BRODY: What's the matter, huh? What's wrong?
PAIGE: I think I'm in big trouble.
FADE OUT
(COMMERCIAL SET)
FADE IN.
[INT. MANOR - KITCHEN -DAY]
(Phoebe is mixing the potion in the boiling pot at the stove while she's on the
phone with Elise.)
PHOEBE: (to phone) No, I know, Elise, but something came up. Yes, again, but
you don't have to worry about my column.
(Phoebe ladles some of the potion into the Vision Quest cup.)
PAIGE: (o.s.) Aaargh!
(From the other room, there's a loud thump as something heavy falls to the
floor.)
PAIGE: (o.s.) Ow, ow, ow!
PHOEBE: (to phone) I promise it'll -- uh, I gotta go. Wh - (Phoebe quickly
hangs up and heads out of the kitchen. The camera follows Phoebe out of the
kitchen.) Paige? What's goin' on?
[INT. MANOR - DINING ROOM / MAIN HALL - DAY - CONTINUOUS]
(Phoebe exits the kitchen and turns the corner. She sees Paige lying on the
floor on her back.)
PHOEBE: Pai --oh, my god! What happened?
(Paige holds her hands up for Phoebe to grab to help pull her up. Kyle Brody
walks down the rest of the stairs to join them.)
KYLE BRODY: Par for the course, unfortunately.
PHOEBE: "Par for what course", and what are you doing here?
KYLE BRODY: Trying to protect your sister.
(Phoebe looks skeptically at Kyle.)
PAIGE: I lost my Guardian Angel.
PHOEBE: You lost your who?
KYLE BRODY: Protection spirits, guides. They're with us all the time.
(Paige nods in agreement.)
PHOEBE: Yes. I know what Guardian Angels are. Thank you.
PAIGE: Not just the hallmark thing. It's real. I actually saw mine. I'm
surprised we've not seen them before.
KYLE BRODY: Yeah, the problem is without them, people tend to be vulnerable.
PAIGE: In my case, accident-prone.
PHOEBE: Okay, I don't understand. How did you lose your Guardian Angel?
KYLE BRODY: Well, actually, we tried to lose mine, but then this demon -- it
was a demon, right?
(He looks at Paige. She confirms.)
PAIGE: Demon.
KYLE BRODY: Yeah, demon comes along and takes hers instead.
(Not liking that Kyle knows that much and still not trusting of him, Phoebe
looks at Paige.)
PHOEBE: (to Paige) Can I talk to you for a second, please, over here?
(Phoebe leads Paige out into the Conservatory.)
[INT. MANOR - CONSERVATORY - DAY -- CONTINUOUS]
(Phoebe turns to look at Paige.)
PHOEBE: What is going on?
PAIGE: What's going on is that we figured out what is killing all of those
innocents. The demon is stealing their protectors. We think it's somehow
connected to this whole New Power thing.
PHOEBE: And let me guess. This is another one of his hunches?
PAIGE: No. It's one of mine. But you have to admit, all of his have panned out
so far, right?
PHOEBE: Yeah. So far, they have. So what's the next move?
PAIGE: Well, I'm gonna go I.D. the demon. Have you seen the Book of Shadows?
It wasn't upstairs.
PHOEBE: Why? You're not gonna show him the Book of Shadows, are you?
PAIGE: Yeah, I am. I trust him. I told you that. If it considers him a
threat, it'll just zap him.
(Phoebe still has her doubts.)
PAIGE: Don't worry.
PHOEBE: Paige, you're my sister. I have to worry.
PAIGE: Well, if it makes you feel better, why don't you just come with us?
PHOEBE: I wish I could, but I can't. Leo needs some ... serious help.
PAIGE: What's new?
PHOEBE: Just promise me you're gonna be careful.
PAIGE: I promise. I think I can take care of one little demon.
(Paige turns and heads back.)
PHOEBE: (calls out) I meant Agent Brody. (Phoebe heads back also.) The Book's
in the kitchen.
[INT. MANOR - MAIN HALL - DAY -- CONTINUOUS]
(Phoebe heads back into the kitchen leaving Paige with Kyle.)
KYLE BRODY: Everything okay?
PAIGE: Oh, yeah. I'm fine.
(Paige heads for the kitchen. She takes a step and trips falling to the floor
with a thud. She raises her hand.)
PAIGE: (o.s.) No problem.
(Kyle grimaces.)
KYLE BRODY: Uh ...
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC - DAY -- CONTINUOUS]
LEO: She lost her what?
(Phoebe explains what's going on to Piper and Leo. The attic is prepared for
Leo to go on his vision quest. The candles on the table are lit.)
PHOEBE: Agent Brody is watching her. She's okay.
LEO: We can't leave her alone if she lost her Guardian An -
PIPER: (interrupts) Phoebe said she's fine. Now, would you please focus?
(Leo sighs.)
LEO: What am I supposed to do?
PHOEBE: Don't fight it. Just let it take you to where you're supposed to be.
LEO: What if I wanna get out?
PHOEBE: You won't be able to, not until you see what you're supposed to see.
(Phoebe hands Leo the cup with the potion in it. Hesitantly, he looks at the
cup.)
PIPER: Just sip it.
(Leo sips and swallows. He hands the cup back to Phoebe.)
LEO: Now what?
PHOEBE: Make yourself comfortable.
(Leo lies down on the floor, his head against the pillows.)
PHOEBE: Close your eyes and just let it all go.
(Leo lets out a breath and closes his eyes.)
WHITE FLASH TO:
[EXT. BATTLEFIELD - WORLD WAR II – DAY LEO'S VISION]
(Leo opens his eyes to the sounds of screaming and gunfire. They're in the
medic camp. Leo stands off to the side as the wounded are being carried into
and tended inside the tent.)
(A soldier carries in a wounded soldier into the medic tent. A younger Past Leo
takes a look at the soldier's wounds.)
(The medic tent is bustling.)
PAST LEO: We gotta stop the bleeding!
PAST LEO: He's going into shock!
(Up above, a bomb falls.)
PAST LEO: I need a morphine kit!
(The nurse next to him passes him the items. Past Leo looks outside.)
PAST LEO: Is there a medic out in the field?
(A bomb falls and a nearby tent explodes. Leo dives down to the ground to take
cover behind a jeep.)
(Rapid machine gun fire comes dangerously close to Leo. He ducks behind the
jeep's tires. Leo looks up and around.)
LEO: What's going on? What am I doing here?
CHRIS: (o.s.) Don't worry, dad.
(Leo looks around and finds Chris sitting on the back of the jeep.)
CHRIS: I'm gonna help you through this.
LEO: Chris?
FLASH TO:
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC - PRESENT -- DAY - CONTINUOUS]
LEO: (murmurs) Chris?
(Piper and Phoebe both look at each other.)
CUT TO:
[INT. MANOR - KITCHEN -- DAY]
(Paige is leaning on the kitchen table looking at the open Book of Shadows. She
pulls back and accidentally knocks over a glass of water. Kyle reaches out and
catches the glass before it hits the floor.)
(He places it back on the table.)
PAIGE: Thank you.
KYLE BRODY: Yeah.
(Kyle walks back to the counter as Paige carefully sits in the chair in front of
the Book of Shadows.)
PAIGE: Guess I never knew how much my Guardian Angel actually helped me, even
with the little stuff.
KYLE BRODY: Don't worry. We'll find her.
(Kyle looks at the various things on the counter that Phoebe had used to make
the potion. Paige flips to the next page.)
PAIGE: I hope.
(Kyle picks up a bottle and looks at it. Paige watches him.)
PAIGE: You know, maybe it'd help if you looked at the Book with me.
(Kyle puts the bottle back on the counter and walks over to the Book of Shadows.
He flips the page over.)
KYLE BRODY: Feel better?
PAIGE: What do you mean?
KYLE BRODY: Well, I assume the Book won't let anything evil touch it. Most
magical tomes don't. (tiredly) What do I have to do to prove that I'm not a
threat to you?
(Paige stands up.)
PAIGE: Look, I'm -- I'm sorry. I am. I can't seem to trust myself right now,
let alone anybody else.
KYLE BRODY: Well, the Guardians did more than keep you upright. They're your
inner voice, your conscience, instincts, and without them, you tend to get a
little lost.
PAIGE: You really do believe in them, don't you?
KYLE BRODY: Yeah. I'm a believer, all right.
(He leans over the table and flips absently through the Book of Shadows.)
KYLE BRODY: Hunting the New Power for years has made me realize that there are
some awful things in this world. I just like to think that there's some good
things, too, to balance it out. Like you.
(They look at each other. After a beat, Paige turns and looks at the Book of
Shadows.)
PAIGE: You found it.
(The Book of Shadows page is on "CELERITY DEMONS".)
PAIGE: (reads) "Celerity demon. Celerity demons are powerful beings who can
move at the speed of light and feed off lesser demons."
KYLE BRODY: Yeah, but Guardian Angels are hardly lesser demons.
PAIGE: Well, whether they are or they aren't, he's able to steal them. The
question is why?
CUT TO:
[INT. UNDERWORLD -- CAVERN]
(Aku cries out in pain. He clutches the wound in his chest as he staggers
backward falling to the ground. Above him, Sarpedon stands over him.)
AKU: Well done.
SARPEDON: Witches have powerful Guardians ... especially a Charmed One's.
AKU: (gasping) How can you be sure that she was a Charmed One?
SARPEDON; It's the only explanation. It's the most powerful one I possess.
AKU: Still ... it will not be enough when the Avatars come.
SARPEDON: Perhaps not. Unless I get the other two. After all, legend holds
that the sisters are magically connected. Stands to reason that their Guardians
should be as well.
AKU: How will you get them?
SARPEDON: I'll just ... listen to the one I've got. She'll whisper to me when
the others need their Guardians the most, when they're the most vulnerable.
You've taught me well, Aku.
(Aku painfully gets up to his feet.)
AKU: I hope ... well enough.
(Sarpedon nods. He throws an energy ball at Aku, vanquishing him.)
CUT TO:
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC -- DAY]
(Phoebe places the crystal down on the floor around Leo and Piper who sits next
to him.)
PIPER: Why isn't he saying anything? So you think he's all right?
PHOEBE: Yes. I think he's doing exactly what he needs to be doing.
(Phoebe places the final two crystals down on the floor.)
PHOEBE: You sure you don't wanna help me out here?
PIPER: No. I'm fine right here.
PHOEBE: Sweetie, you said it yourself. This is something that he needs to do.
PIPER: Yeah, well, I can have second thoughts, can't I? What if something
happens to him?
PHOEBE: Well, hopefully his Guardian Angels are taking care of him.
PIPER: I don't think Angels have Angels, Phoebe. It's redundant. You just
protect ours so we can protect him.
(Camera holds for a beat on Leo on the floor.)
WHITE FLASH TO:
[EXT. BATTLEGROUND - WWII - LEO'S VISION -- DAY]
(Leo and Chris talk behind the cover of the Jeep Leo's hiding behind.)
LEO: So I don't understand. If I'm in the past, what are you doing here?
CHRIS: I'm guiding you.
LEO: So you're real?
CHRIS: No. But I represent something that is. I died in your arms, dad,
killed by everything that you thought was good. I'm your root pain, okay? And
I'm gonna be sticking with you until you're ready to let me go.
LEO: How will I know when that is?
CHRIS: Come on. Let's check out some parts of your life that you really need
to remember.
(Chris stands up.)
LEO: Do I have a choice?
CHRIS: Hey, it's your Vision Quest. It's up to you.
(Leo looks hesitantly at Chris.)
CHRIS: Come on.
(Chris holds out his hand. Leo grabs it.)
WHITE FLASH TO:
[EXT. DOPPEL ALLEYWAY (GHOSTLY PLANE) -- NIGHT -LEO'S VISION]
(Chris and Leo are suddenly there in the doppel world. Everything around them
is cast in a steely bluish hue. Leo looks around the area.)
LEO: Where are we now?
(Chris indicates something happening in front of them that Leo needs to see.
Leo turns to look.)
[Scene from 6X16: The Courtship of Wyatt's Father]
(Leo sees himself with Past Piper sitting on the bench near the side of the
building. Past Leo reaches out and gently cups the side of Past Piper's face.)
PAST LEO: I never stopped loving you.
(She leans into his caress and cries. Past Piper reaches for Past Leo and they
kiss.)
(Leo and Chris stand aside and watch. Chris glances at Leo.)
CHRIS: That feeling's what it's all about, dad. You died fighting evil in the
war, then you were reborn as a Whitelighter to fight evil again. That led you
to mom ... love ... to all that's good.
WHITE FLASH TO:
[INT. MANOR - NIGHT - LEO'S VISION]
[Scene from 5X15: The Day The Magic Died]
(The family is gathered around Past Piper as she's just given birth to Wyatt.
Phoebe's holding the baby.)
PAST PAIGE: Is that what I think it is?
(Chris and Leo are standing in the Main Hall.)
PAST PHOEBE: (o.s.) Yes, it is.
CHRIS: To the day Wyatt was born.
(Leo walks up toward the scene in front of him.)
PAST PAIGE: (o.s.) Oh, it's a boy.
PAST LEO: (o.s.) You mean, I got a boy?
PAST PHOEBE: Here you go mama.
(Past Phoebe hands the baby over to Piper. Up above them, the light shimmers
down on them. The shimmering lights disappear. Everyone's focused on the
baby.)
PAST PIPER: (to Wyatt) Hi. Hi, little guy. What are you doing? (to Leo)
Look what we did.
PAST LEO: (whispers) I see.
PAST PAIGE: It's a miracle.
PAST PIPER: A little miracle.
WHITE FLASH TO:
[INT. HOSPITAL - MATERNITY WARD WAITING AREA - NIGHT - LEO'S VISION]
[Scene from 6X23: It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World]
CHRIS: To the day when I was born.
(With tears in his eyes, Leo steps forward to watch as the Nurse comes out with
Baby Chris in her arms. She places Baby Chris in Past Leo's arms.)
PAST PHOEBE: Oh, look. He's beautiful. Baby Christopher, that's your brother.
PAST PAIGE: Looks like we didn't lose him after all.
(Leo watches the scene before him.)
CHRIS: Do you understand now? All the pain, all the sacrifices, it's all been
for good. That's what you're all about, dad. That's what you've always been
about. That's what the future's about, too.
(Past Leo smiles at Past Phoebe and Past Paige.)
PAST PHOEBE: Look at your brother.
CHRIS: You just need to believe in that again.
PAST PHOEBE: (to the nurse) Can we see her?
CHRIS: Go. Your family's waiting for you.
(Chris vanishes. Leo looks behind him and finds Chris gone. He turns back and
closes his eyes.)
CUT TO:
END OF LEO'S VISION QUEST
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC - DAY -- CONTINUOUS]
(Leo is lying on the attic floor as Piper watches over him. He opens his eyes
and finds Piper next to him. Sitting behind her is Phoebe.)
LEO: Piper.
PIPER: Hey. How you feeling?
(He takes a breath.)
LEO: Good.
(Piper smiles.)
(For a moment, everything appears fine. Then Leo's eyes widen as he sees a
Creature Head Demon appear from the attic ceiling and swoop down toward him.)
LEO: (alarmed) Wait.
(Piper and Phoebe turn to look at the ceiling. They don't' see anything.)
PIPER: What?
(Piper looks at Leo.)
PIPER: What is it?
(The Creature Head Demon easily passes through the protection of the crystals
and heads straight for Leo ... and into Leo.)
LEO: Unh!
(Leo is thrown back into the Vision Quest. His eyes close. Piper tries to wake
him up again.)
PIPER: Leo? Leo, wake up.
(Piper grabs Leo's shirt and shakes him.)
PIPER: Leo! Leo, wake up!
WHITE FLASH TO:
[LEO'S VISION II]
(Leo is suddenly transported to a place that's all white. He opens his eyes and
gasps.)
LEO: (fearfully) Who are you? What do you want?
(He turns around and finds Alpha, the Avatar in his corporeal form, standing
nearby.)
ALPHA (AVATAR): I want you to see the truth, Leo. I want you to see the real
future.
(Alpha indicates the family headstone on the side engraved with the names of the
Halliwell Family members.)

(Camera holds on Leo.)

PIPER: (v.o.) We've got to do something.
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC -- DAY]
(Piper sits worriedly watching Leo still caught in the throes of his Second
Vision Quest.)
PHOEBE: There's nothing that we can do. He's back in the Quest. Only he can
get himself out of it.
PIPER: But he was just out. Something made him go back in, something he saw.
PHOEBE: I don't think anything can get past the crystals.
PIPER: What about the New Power?
PHOEBE: I didn't see any floating heads.
PIPER: It doesn't mean they weren't there.
(With his eyes still closed, Leo gasps.)
LEO: (mutters) Why are you doing this? ...
FLASH TO:
[INT. MAUSOLEUM - DAY - LEO'S VISION 2]
(Leo looks at Alpha.)
LEO: Why are you doing this to me?
(Leo turns and tries to get out.)
LEO: I want to get out of here.
ALPHA (AVATAR): You can't leave yet, Leo. You're not ready. You haven't seen
what you need to see.
LEO: Why are you haunting me?
ALPHA (AVATAR): Haunting? No. The Creature Heads were a necessary part of
guiding you to the truth. To the truth that lies beyond Good and Evil. To us.
LEO: Us?
ALPHA (AVATAR): Avatars. We are ... a power. One that offers a better way, a
solution to this. (He indicates the headstone behind him.) You see, Leo, the
future Chris failed to mention -- the death of all the people that you love,
sometimes peaceful ... sometimes painful ... but always inevitable. And all
well before their time.
LEO: Death is a part of life.
ALPHA (AVATAR): Natural death, yes. But not death caused by the ... pointless,
endless battles between Good and Evil.
LEO: It's not pointless. It's necessary. And when good wins -
ALPHA (AVATAR): Wins? Duality is self-perpetuating. It feeds only on itself.
That is why the battle has been raging since the dawn of time. There is no
winner.
LEO: There can be.
ALPHA (AVATAR): How? With Good, there is always Evil. And so the battle never
ends. Not until there's nothing left. That is the future your fight is leading
to. Not Good nor Evil. Only nothing.
(With a wave of his hand, the mausoleum disappears. Leo and Alpha are both
transported into a black void.)
LEO: Noooo!
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC - NIGHT -- CONTINUOUS]
(Back in the attic, Leo moans.)
LEO: (groans) No!
PIPER: Leo. Who are you talking to?
PHOBEE: I'm afraid he can't hear you.
PIPER: Well, he's hearing someone.
(Sarpedon appears in the attic. The amulet around his neck glows and we hear
whispering around him. Suddenly, things have gotten a lot darker.)
(Piper starts shaking Leo frantically trying to wake him up.)
PIPER: Leo. (shouts) Leo!
(Sarpedon steps forward to attack the girls, but the crystal cage holds. He
runs into the bars and is thrown backward crashing into the furniture behind
him.)
[INT. MANOR - KITCHEN - NIGHT -- CONTINUOUS]
(The crash is heard down in the kitchen. Both Kyle and Paige look up at the
ceiling.)
KYLE BRODY: What was that?
PAIGE: Stay here.
KYLE BRODY: Why?
PAIGE: Just ... stay.
(Paige orbs out of the kitchen. Kyle looks up at the ceiling. He takes out his
gun and cocks it.)
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC - NIGHT -- CONTINUOUS]
(Sarpedon looks at the crystal cage.)
PHOEBE: Guess your Guardians didn't tell you about that.
SARPEDON: That's why I want yours ... so these kinds of things don't happen
again.
(Paige orbs into the attic. She steps forward to throw the potion in her had at
Sarpedon. She steps ... and promptly trips on her own feet falling flat on her
face.)
PAIGE: Damn it!
(Sarpedon turns around.)
PHOEBE: Paige, quick! In here!
(Paige throws the potion at him which he easily deflects. Right before his
eyes, Paige orbs out and orbs into the crystal cage.)
SARPEDON: You're gettin' to be a pain. You can't hide in there forever!
(Kyle peaks around the hallway corner.)
KYLE BRODY: Paige?
(Sarpedon turns around. Kyle rushes up to the attic door. He comes face-to-
face with Sarpedon.)
KYLE BRODY: What the hell?
(He fires point blank. The bullet doesn't hit him. Sarpedon knocks the gun out
of Kyle's hand and grabs him by his neck. He holds his razor-sharp talon
against Kyle's face.)
PAIGE: Leave him alone!
SARPEDON: No. There's too much at stake. Besides, I could use the leverage.
(Sarpedon vanishes with Agent Kyle.)
PAIGE: Oh, no.
CUT TO:
[INT. UNDERWORLD - CAVE]
(Kyle gets hit and falls to the cave floor.)
KYLE BRODY: Unh!
(Sarpedon walks up toward Kyle.)
SARPEDON: You're not a witch. What are you?
KYLE BRODY: Unh! I'm a Federal Agent.
SARPEDON: (laughs) A what? And you know about all this? Magic? Demons?
KYLE BRODY: I'm getting a quick education.
(Sarpedon kneels down close to Kyle.)
SARPEDON: It won't do you much good. I only need you long enough for the
witches to attempt a rescue. And since they're obviously otherwise occupied and
down a guardian, they won't come all at once. Someone will get left behind.
And that's when I'll attack.
KYLE BRODY: (panting) I'm just curious. (He coughs as he slowly gets to his
feet.) What do you want with all these Guardians if you don't mind me asking.
SARPEDON: I don't want them. I need them.
KYLE BRODY: Worried about the New Power, are we?
SARPEDON: You know about the Avatars?
KYLE BRODY: Avatars? So that's what they're called?
(Sarpedon grabs Brody by his neck.)
SARPEDON: Yes, that's what they're called. And I, for one, won't be cast aside
by them when the time comes for them to take power. Which is why I need more
Guardians, which is the only reason I'm keeping you alive.
(He throws Kyle up against the far wall. Kyle falls with a thud. He groans
from the pain.)
CUT TO:
[INT. MANOR - ATIC -- NIGHT]
(Paige scrys for Agent Brody. On the table, she has her other hand on his gun
as she uses the gun to find Agent Brody. Phoebe sits next to her at the scrying
table.)
PHOEBE: So what are you going to do if you find him?
PAIGE: What do you mean, what am I going to do? I'm going to save him. We are
going to save him.
PHOEBE: But it's a trap. The demon said so himself. He just took him for
leverage.
PAIGE: So we're just going to let him get killed?
PHOEBE: He's not going to kill him, okay? He needs him alive.
(Piper looks over at Leo who is still on the floor.)
PAIGE: Yeah, but for how long? Piper, help me out.
(Piper looks at Paige.)
PIPER: I'm with Phoebe here. Sarpedon's really powerful, and he's got all
those Guardians.
PAIGE: Yeah, including mine.
PHOEBE: And that's why you're not thinking straight! Paige, we can't go after
him. It's ridiculous.
(Piper again looks at Leo.)
PAIGE: Yeah? Well, I'm not just going to let him rot, either.
(The scrying crystal falls on the map. She's found him.)
PAIGE: I'll go get him myself.
(Before Phoebe can say anything, Paige orbs out.)
PHOEBE: (stammering) Pai -- oh!
(Phoebe and Piper look at each other.)
CUT TO:
[INT. UNDERWORLD -- CAVE]
(Paige orbs into the cave. She walks into the main cavern calling out for
Kyle.)
PAIGE: Kyle?
(There's no answer.)
PAIGE: (louder) Kyle? Kyle?
(Sarpedon is hiding on the side watching Paige.)
PAIGE: Kyle?
(He vanishes out. Paige continues to walk around the cave looking for Kyle.)
[DIFFERENT ANGLE]
(As she walks out of camera frame, we see that Kyle is bound, wrists and ankles,
to the cave ceiling.)
KYLE BRODY: (gasps) Paige --
CUT TO:
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC -- NIGHT]
(Phoebe and Piper are in the attic. Phoebe is looking at the scrying map.)
PHOEBE: Okay, so now that we know where they are, all we have to do is mix up a
new vanquishing potion and get Paige's spell.
(Piper glances back at Leo.)
PIPER: Yeah, but that would mean we would have to go to the Book, which is in
the kitchen and which entails us going downstairs away from the crystals, which
means the demon could slice and dice us.
PHOEBE: True, but for all we know, the demon could already have Paige.
PIPER: Us getting killed doesn't change that. Besides, I can't leave Leo.
PHOEBE: Okay, I know this is really hard for you, Piper, but there's nothing
that we can do to help Leo. He's got to fight this fight on his own. But we
can help Paige.
(Piper stands up.)
PIPER: All right. Let's just make it fast.
PHOEBE: Okay. Remember, if the demon attacks, grab the amulet.
PIPER: Oh, sure, yeah. No problem.
(Both Piper and Phoebe walk out of the crystal cage and head out of the attic.
Camera moves down and lingers on Leo.)
CUT TO:
[INT. MANOR - STAIRS / MAIN HALL / DINING ROOM - NIGHT -- CONTINUOUS]
(Phoebe and Piper sneak down the main hall stairs.)
(Phoebe turns and heads to the kitchen through the dining room. Sarpedon
appears behind Phoebe. Piper turns the corner and sees him behind Phoebe.)
PIPER: (warning) Phoebe!
(Phoebe turns around, but it's too late. She reaches out to stop him, but
Sarpedon has already stabbed Phoebe with his talons in the abdomen.)
(The whispering starts.)
PHOEBE: (gasping) Unh-unh!
(Phoebe slides off the talons and falls to the floor with a thud. Sarpedon
turns and looks at Piper, his talons bloodied.)
SARPEDON: Next.
(Sarpedon takes a step toward Piper.)
PHOEBE: (o.s.) Hey! Where's your amulet?
(From the floor, Phoebe has Sarpedon's amulet in her hand. Sarpedon looks down
and finds his amulet missing. He turns and looks at Phoebe.)
(Phoebe lets out a breath and looses consciousness.)
PIPER: No!
(Sarpedon turns and looks at Piper. He uses time and speeds toward her just as
Piper blasts him. He explodes.)
(Piper gasps. She looks down and finds Sarpedon's razor sharp talons in her
abdomen. The force of his forward motion propelled the weapon straight for
Piper even after she vanquished him.)
(Wounded and bleeding, Piper falls backward to the floor.)
PIPER: (gasps) Leo.
(Piper looses consciousness.)
FADE OUT
(COMMERCIAL SET)
FADE IN.
[EXT. HALLIWELL MANOR (STOCK) - NIGHT]
[INT. MANOR - MAIN HALL / DINING ROOM - NIGHT]
(Phoebe is on the floor, her abdomen bleeding from her wound. In her hand she
has the amulet.)
(Nearby, Piper is on the floor, the talons protruding out of her abdomen.)
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC - NIGHT]
(Leo is still in the attic in his Vision Quest.)
[EXT. BLACK VOID -- LEO'S VISION 2]
(Leo and Alpha are standing in the center of the Black Void.)
LEO: What do you mean this is the end? The end of what?
ALPHA (AVATAR): The end of the battle between Good and Evil, its outcome --
mutual destruction, and the eternal void that necessarily follows.
LEO: (shakes his head) How is this possible?
ALPHA (AVATAR): I'm afraid it's unavoidable. A flawed design. There is,
however, another way, a better way. That is what we represent, Leo. But we'll
need your help to implement it. And The Charmed Ones, of course, when they're
ready.
LEO: What way is that?
ALPHA (AVATAR): Utopia. A world where good and evil no longer exist, where the
battle is behind you, behind everyone. A world where you and Piper no longer
have to suffer through the obstacles that have kept you apart.
LEO: (scoffs) What's the catch?
ALPHA (AVATAR): Only the courage to change.
(Alpha hears something and turns to listen.)
ALPHA (AVATAR): Unless it's already too late.
CUT TO:
[INT. MANOR - ATTIC - NIGHT - CONTINUOUS]
(Leo wakes up. He sits up.)
LEO: Piper.
(He looks around for her. She's not there. Alpha steps forward.)
ALPHA (AVATAR): She's not here, Leo. (He kneels down in front of Leo.) I'm
afraid there isn't much time.
LEO: Piper? (yells) Piper!
(Leo scrambles to his feet and runs out of the attic.)
CUT TO:
[INT. MANOR - STAIRS / MAIN HALL / DINING ROOM - NIGHT -- CONTINUOUS]
(Piper and Phoebe are both bleeding on the floor. Leo runs down the stairs,
Alpha follows behind him. Leo finds Piper first. He kneels down next to her
and checks her.)
LEO: No. Why did you do this?
ALPHA (AVATAR): We didn't do this, Leo, evil did. It might not be too late,
though, to reverse it if you'll join us.
LEO: You can save them?
ALPHA (AVATAR): We can save everyone, Leo, with your help.
(Leo looks back at Piper and makes his decision. He nods.)
ALPHA (AVATAR): So be it.
(Alpha holds his hands out and a beam of bright light shines from the palms of
his hands to Leo. It engulfs Leo completely.)
(The transfer is complete. The bright light disappears. Alpha grins at Leo.)
ALPHA (AVATAR): Welcome to the fold.
LEO: What do I do next?
ALPHA (AVATAR): Heal them.
LEO: I can't heal them, they're dead.
ALPHA (AVATAR): You're an Avatar now, Leo. You have all you need. You have
the powers.
(Alpha vanishes. Leo turns his attention back to Piper. He stands up and holds
his hands out in front of him – one hand pointed toward Piper, the other toward
Phoebe. Bright light beams from the palms of his hands toward Piper and
Phoebe.)
(The beams of light shines on Piper and on Phoebe.)
(Paige orbs Kyle back into the manor. She watches as Leo heals Piper and
Phoebe.)
PAIGE: Leo?
(The beams of light stop. Piper and Phoebe both regain consciousness.)
(He reaches down to help Piper up.)
LEO: Piper.
PIPER: You're back.
(Paige rushes into the dining room to check on Phoebe. Phoebe groans as she
gets up.)
PIPER: I thought I was ...
PHOEBE: ... Dead?
(Leo looks at Piper and Phoebe. Paige notices the amulet in Phoebe's hand.)
PAIGE: Where did you get that?
PHOEBE: Oh, from the demon, I guess.
KYLE BRODY: What, so that's it? It's over?
(Piper turns to look at Leo.)
PIPER: Is it?
(Leo shrugs at her.)
PAIGE: I've never seen you heal anyone like that, Leo.
PIPER: Did something happen to you?
LEO: What do you mean?
PIPER: In the Vision Quest, you seemed like you were in pain.
LEO: Yeah. Well ... it's something I had to go through, I guess, to see the
truth.
FADE TO:
[EXT. VARIOUS SAN FRANCISCO CITY LIGHTS (STOCK) - NIGHT]
[EXT. P-3 (STOCK) - NIGHT]
[INT. P-3 -- NIGHT]
(The Donnas perform on stage to a crowded room.)
LYRICS:
I can't believe she bought it / she got too close and she caught it / had a

have to watch her dumb it down? / 'Cause when it's cheap, it fades fast / and

(Piper and Phoebe sit in the booth.)
PIPER: Thanks for getting Rex to do that sound check. They sounded great.
PHOEBE: Yeah. Actually, I forgot to do that. What? I was very busy trying to
save your husband.
PIPER: All right. Down girl. Easy. Don't worry about it.
PHOEBE: I guess I get a little testy when someone kills me, you know.
PIPER: Oh, come on. We weren't killed, we were just maimed. Leo can't heal
the dead.
(Paige walks up to them.)
PAIGE: Hey, ladies. Sorry I'm late. Ooh, you guys look great for being
recently deceased.
PIPER: We weren't dead. (She gives up.) Ah, forget it.
(The waitress walks up to them carrying a tray with three water bottles on it.
Paige turns and reaches for one, bumping into the tray.)
PAIGE: Oh, hey--
(The bottles klink, but Paige's reflexes are back. She swiftly grabs the
bottles without spilling a drink.)
PAIGE: Ooh!
WAITRESS: Oh, my God. I'm sorry. My bad.
(Paige takes her bottle and the waitress leaves. Phoebe chuckles.)
PIPER: I see you got your Angel back.
PAIGE: Thank God. No pun intended.
PHOEBE: What about Agent Brody?
PAIGE: Who?
PHOEBE: All right. Kyle. You know, just because we almost got him killed
doesn't mean we have to trust him.
PIPER: Ah, come on now. Enough of this already. Everything turned out fine,
like it always does. Well, almost always does.
PAIGE: Except for the Avatars. Kyle said that's what the demon called the New
Power.
PHOEBE: Doesn't ring any bells.
(Leo makes his way toward them and takes a seat near Piper. He seems just a
little different.)
PHOEBE: Well, well, well, look at you. Welcome back.
LEO: Thank you. It's good to be back. Believe me.
PIPER: No more voices, floating heads, guilt trips?
LEO: Nope. Nothing.
PAIGE: Ever hear of the Avatars?
(Leo stops and looks carefully at Paige.)
LEO: Avatars? Why?
PAIGE: I guess they could be the big bad everyone's worried about.
(Leo reaches for his glass.)
LEO: I will look into it. But first, a toast to being back together. New
beginnings.
(They clink glasses and bottles together.)
PIPER: I will drink to that.
(Leo takes a sip from his drink. Camera holds on the "new" Leo.)
